Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, met an uncertain end back in September.
People think in terms of children, but they're really young adults.
I have a love for these people, and hopefully now Congress will be able to help them and do it properly.
And I can tell you, in speaking to members of Congress, they want to be able to do something and do it right.
And really, we have no choice.
We have to be able to do something.
Last night, at a dinner with Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, President Trump apparently hammered out the framework to a deal that would protect 800,000 illegal aliens now covered under DACA from being deported.
They'll get to stay, and under current law, so will millions of their relatives.
It would be a massive amnesty, maybe the biggest ever granted in American history.
This is thrilling news for Democrats and for open borders advocates everywhere.
In return for this concession, the president receives nothing.
No reduction in overall immigration totals.
No tightened restriction on foreign workers who take jobs from Americans.
No e-verify to prevent illegal immigrants from working under the table.
No end to chain migration.
And now DACA is slated to end on March 5th, 2018. However, the corporate paradigm of Republicans and Democrats want to tie DACA legislation in the interests of lobbyists and non-citizens around the neck of much-needed tax reform for American citizens.
Schumer wrote a letter.
I'm not voting for any tax cut.
No net tax cut.
Period.
He would only vote for tax increases on the American people, which we know from his history.
So the president can talk all day about immigration with Schumer if he wants to.
There is nothing to be had from Schumer or Pelosi on meaningful pro-growth tax reform.
This bill could be your political doom.
Don't let the special interests...
Don't let the party leadership push you into doing something that is bad for so many of your constituents.
You'll pay a price.
House Republicans should kill the bill now if they want to have any hope of stopping the full repeal of state and local deduction.
They can't hide behind the so-called compromise in the House bill.
The middle class will pay more.
Under this bill?
Future generations will pay more because the deficit will explode.
Thank you very much to Dan Newhouse and to all of these wonderful colleagues for this strong show of support for these young immigrants who, of course, we all know were brought to this country.
Many of them have no memory of their countries of origin.
and they all speak English, so I'm very grateful to all of them, and I'll say a couple words in Spanish.
While President Trump was away in Asia, renewing trade deals and exiting out of others that were lopsided to begin with, I will make bilateral trade agreements with any Indo-Pacific nation that wants to be our partner and that will abide by the principles of fair and reciprocal trade.
The U.S. Congress, with its 14% approval rating and its bubble of delusion, would rather pull the plug out from yet another possible Trump economic victory, and ultimately a victory for the American people.

What the aging process is, is when the cell replicates, we lose a little bit of our telomeres.
Telomeres are the little cups on the end of our chromosomes.
