Looks like the left sure does love their sexual predators and pedophiles.
Bill Clinton, Anthony Weiner, Jeffrey Epstein, Jacob Schwartz, just to name a few.
Okay, maybe they don't love them, but they love to look the other way as long as it's helping their ascent to power or lining their pocketbooks.
But it's not just the Democratic left there in D.C. that has the problem, but it's also in Hollywood.
Hollywood has got a big problem of their own when it comes to looking the other way when there are sexual predators in their midst.
Obviously the casting...
But when they are not lecturing the country to vote against the racist, sexist, tiny-hands Trump, they are not only smooching but also saddling up to lecherous creeps, Hollywood bigwigs like Harvey Weinstein.
Harvey Weinstein is one of Hollywood's biggest movie producers, but he's also a major sexist.
And he's finally met his day of reckoning.
The mogul was the subject of a New York Times expose published Thursday alleging that he has reached at least eight settlements with women over sexual harassment claims spanning three decades.
Weinstein responded to the Times story with a statement, including, Weinstein then told the paper he was taking a leave of absence from his company in order to focus, in part, on his political goals, including saying he's going to channel his anger at the NRA and President Trump.
In other words, hey look guys, we have a common foe.
Let's redirect our energy at the real bad guys, Trump and the NRA. Nice job, Mr. Weinstein.
I'm sure that's going to do a lot to appease the women who have been the victims of your predatory nature all of these years.
If you really wanted to right the decades of wrong that you have done by not being able to keep it in your pants, why not do something to fix the gender pay gap in Hollywood or the way that women are depicted on screen or specifically the scripts that are given to women so that women are portrayed in a more powerful...
But with his statement, Harvey Weinstein is also asking for a pass.
Come on, guys.
I'm a liberal.
Can't we just let this slide kind of like we did with Woody Allen and Roman Polanski and Bill Clinton and all the other creeps that were there on the casting couch?
Weinstein is a major Democratic donor.
He held a fundraiser for Hillary Clinton just last year at his Manhattan home, was co-hosted by several A-list.
He was also a major donor to Obama's re-election campaign.
He visited the Obama White House on multiple occasions, no doubt sycophantically agreeing to somehow push the administration's policy propaganda into Hollywood movie scripts.
Heck, he even gave Malia Obama her first big internship.
Let's not forget that online petition that circulated in 2009. It was signed by 130 Hollywood heavyweights demanding that the decades-old statutory rape conviction against Roman Polanski be dropped.
Polanski is an exiled rapist.
He hasn't been to the United States in decades.
He faced actually three more rape allegations against teenagers since this one that he pled guilty to.
But heck, Woody Allen and the rest of them, they think he should be given a pass so that he...
We are calling every filmmaker we can to help fix this terrible situation.
Because much like Weinstein was used to growing up in the 60s and 70s, a different time when you could just...
Flip women onto your casting couch.
I guess back then it was also okay to drug and rape 13-year-old girls and that's why we should give Mr. Polanski a pass.
This is actually the official statement of one of Weinstein's advisors, Lisa Bloom.
She said, you know, Weinstein, I give him a sharp talking too, but he's just an old dinosaur learning new ways.
Now, Lisa Bloom, this is a major hypocritical move on her part, and feminists are...
Pissed.
She has made her career representing female victims in sexual assault cases against powerful men, much like her mother, Gloria Allred.
But now she is advising Harvey Weinstein, someone who in the past she would have been facing in court.
Well, I guess it's all about that payday, all about that check.
Forget about justice for women.
She issued this statement saying that Harvey was an old dinosaur learning new ways.
You hear that, guys?
Boys will be boys.
Remember, did that fly when Trump's Access Hollywood tape surfaced?
The off-the-record conversation he had off the cuff with Billy Bush.
Everyone was saying, ah, it's just locker room talk from the boys.
Boys will be boys.
That did not fly.
Hollywood seized upon that to just push how evil Trump is and, oh, he's just a major sexist.
We can't elect him as a president.
Meanwhile, they're looking the other way as this Biggest Hollywood producer is a major sexual predator, something that was known and talked about amongst Hollywood actresses, and yet they gave it a pass.
Not only did they give it a pass, they co-hosted parties with him when he was trying to get Hillary Clinton elected.
Major historical hypocrisy.
No wonder your words ring hollow, Hollywood, and nobody is buying what you're selling any longer.
But Lisa Bloom wants us to think that a creepy dinosaur like Harvey Weinstein can be reimagined.
If she manages to do that, this will give you a major score for her career.
And indeed, it is easy for her to look the other way because this lecherous creep is going to be producing the six-episode adaptation of her book about the Trayvon Martin case.
So yeah, she might not be on the casting couch, but it sure is easy to look the other way when someone is helping to advance your career.
Not only that, we have the top Obama campaign staffer and former White House communications director Anita Dunn helping Harvey Weinstein strategize before this New York Times story was set to hit.
So she's offering up her PR expertise to help him as well.
But it's really interesting that women like Ashley Judd, which to her credit, she's one of the only actresses who's speaking out on the record about the sexual predatory nature of Harvey Weinstein.
Her story's pretty incredible.
Incredible.
The experience that she suffered at the hands of this man.
But where was she a year ago when Harvey Weinstein was hosting Hillary Clinton at his house, raising big-time money for Hillary Clinton?
We had, back in 2013, Michelle Obama praising him, saying what a great guy he is, what a great friend.
That's because he was putting tons of money into her husband's re-election campaign.
So now we have Harvey Weinstein.
He's one of Hollywood's most famous producers.
He sexually harassed women for decades.
Those women ignored it for decades, as long as he was making them famous.
The Democratic Party also ignored his predatory nature for decades, as long as he was lining their coffers with gobs of money, just like Hillary Clinton and President Obama.
They didn't mind that lecherous nature, as long as he was making them rich and getting them elected.
The question is, why now?
This big-time Democratic donor being allowed to take the fall.
Normally they would protect him.
Is it because there is no longer a need to protect Hillary Clinton?
They want someone else to rise up and take her place so they can take out one of her big-time donors?
Who knows?
But it's always very interesting when you see the left allowing one of their own to take the fall.
What do we have here?
It looks like Hollywood is still protecting their own.
None of the late-night talk show hosts even mentioned it.
Well, Trevor Noah kind of gave a passing.
Oh, look, Harvey Weinstein, when he was making a joke about Cam Newton.
But other than that, not a peep.
These are the same guys who made fun of Bill O'Reilly and Trump's Access Hollywood tape.
Show after show to make a point about white males and white Christian males.
