Major Supreme Court Cases Coming Up

Hey, what's going on everybody?
This is Joe Biggs with Infowars.com.
And there are some big cases coming up this year at the Supreme Court.
And Neil Gorsuch is going to be a deciding factor.
In a lot of these cases, you're going to be playing a very pivotal role.
And one of these big issues coming up on November 8th is voter purges.
An Ohio voter purge clash has become a flashpoint in the broader fight over the rules governing who can cast ballots.
The state removes people from rolls if they don't vote during a six-year period and don't respond to requests to confirm their address.
Ohio says the system is a legitimate method to keep its voter database up to date.
Opponents say the procedure is a voter suppression tool that violates a federal law.
The Trump administration...
for claiming without evidence that 3 million people voted illegally for his opponent, Hillary Clinton.
Trump then appointed a voting fraud commission controlled by Republican hardliners.
Look, we know that the Democrats are doing everything they can to bring in minorities, people of color across the border illegally, and they use that as a tool to get votes.
Come on.
It's been going on for years.
It's nothing new.
Yes, it's happening.
And yes, we have to put a stop to it.
Another one, Gay Rights vs.
Free Speech, and this one's not yet scheduled, but it is on the books to come up here very soon.
What began is a brief discussion about a wedding cake has grown into a Supreme Court dispute between some of the nation's most cherished values.
On one side are these two guys who were turned away who wanted to get a Colorado bakery to make a gay wedding cake for them, and then on the other is a guy named Jack Phillips, the baker who says he can't create a cake for a gay wedding without violating his religious beliefs.
The Colorado Civil Rights Commission said Phillips violated a state law that bars discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation by businesses that sell to the public.
Phillips says that his constitutional speech and religious rights are being infringed.
We know that Justice Kennedy is a champion for free speech and gay rights, and he will probably be at the center of the debate in one of the key deciding votes on whether or not what happens with that.
Cell phone privacy.
Still another one that's not scheduled but in the books to come up this year.
It says the court will take up a major test of digital privacy when it considers whether prosecutors need a warrant to get mobile phone tower records that includes months of information about a person's location.
Timothy Carpenter is seeking to overturn his conviction for taking part in nine armed robberies in the Detroit area.
At trial, prosecutors used phone data to show Carpenter was near the site of each robbery when it occurred.
Critics say prosecutors are able to get massive amounts of data without having to meet the probable cost standards for a search warrant.
The largest telecommunications providers receive tens of thousands of requests for location information a year under the 1986 Store Communications Act, which doesn't require a warrant.
You know, that's definitely something that I'm going to keep my eye on.
Travel ban.
Here we go.
Another one that's coming up.
Although the court has dropped its planned October 10th argument on Trump's ban.
From a group of mostly Muslim countries, the justices still must decide what to do with the case.
The court canceled the argument after Trump released a revised policy based on recommendations from the Department of Homeland Security.
The new policy puts restrictions on travel from three additional countries, Chad, North Korea, and Venezuela, and extends indefinitely into the future.
The new policy supersedes a temporary ban that was to have been the focus of the Supreme Court case.
And dropping the argument, the justices signaled that they might dismiss the case and let a lower court take the first look at the new policy.
But even if they do, the matter could quickly return to the high court.
So there's a lot of big stuff coming up, a lot of things to keep your eyes on.
