Special Reports & Tweets - Sacramento Votes To Extort Its Taxpayers Aired: 2017-09-07 Duration: 04:43 === Sacramento Extorted (03:49) === [00:00:04] What do you want? [00:00:05] What do you think? [00:00:07] No! [00:00:07] Yes! [00:00:08] No, come on. [00:00:09] This is not fair, man. [00:00:10] Come on! [00:00:10] Call the cops! [00:00:12] No! [00:00:13] Hey! [00:00:14] The Sacramento City Council has voted to be extorted to the tune of $1.5 million by 50 gang members. [00:00:23] The council voted 9-0 to allow city funds to ultimately pay protection money to violent gang members in a program titled Advance Peace. [00:00:33] California has officially lost its collectivized mind. [00:00:38] The program would create mentorship, education, and job training opportunities, even offering financial rewards up to $1,000 per month for successfully meeting program goals. [00:00:49] But Councilwoman Angelique Ashby raised issues with the contract. [00:00:53] We have no opportunity to pull out of this contract. [00:00:56] None whatsoever. [00:00:58] It's front-loaded with the cash on their end. [00:01:00] At one point, Ashby sparred with Mayor Daryl Steinberg. [00:01:04] That's not the way that I read this. [00:01:06] Mayor, that's exactly what it says. [00:01:08] Her points were very valid. [00:01:09] I hope that we hold Advance Peace accountable for what they've promised. [00:01:15] After deciding the contract needs to first be reviewed and fine-tuned, city leaders voted in favor of Advance Peace. [00:01:22] It's called appeasement. [00:01:24] The left's way of dealing with threats by ultimately allowing the gangs to become an arm of corruption, whether that was the intention or not. [00:01:34] Welcome to the neighborhood. [00:01:36] We're from the North Ward Merchants Protective Co-op. [00:01:39] I don't have any discretionary funds. [00:01:41] It's got to go through corporate. [00:01:42] How do you think corporate would feel if, for the sake of argument... [00:01:46] Someone threw a brick through your window. [00:01:48] The Clintons brokered an appeasement deal with North Korea. [00:01:52] And look how that turned out. [00:01:53] That government in North Korea still thinks it can take over the rest of the Korean Peninsula. [00:01:58] And it would be the one government governing the whole of the Korean people. [00:02:02] So if they get this capability, the first thing they're going to do with it is use it for extortion. [00:02:09] Saying, for example, to the United States, you remove all of your troops from South Korea. [00:02:14] And or Japan, or Guam, or Okinawa. [00:02:18] Or we will take out Los Angeles, San Francisco, fill in the blank. [00:02:22] Or the Jizya tax for non-Muslims. [00:02:26] The specific threats against Bajale come from two men, one a low-level official in the Palestinian Authority. [00:02:32] He says they're trying to extort both land and money. [00:02:35] When he complained to other PA officials, they offered help only if he would pay them protection money. [00:02:41] The two men also threatened Bajalia, who was legally blind, that they would cripple him for life. [00:02:46] Or just ask the Sicilians. [00:02:49] After hundreds of years, they are finally refusing to pay the Mafia its institutionalized protection money. [00:02:57] The idea came in about 2004, when a few of us wanted to open a bar and we thought to ourselves, what do we do if they come and ask for protection money? [00:03:05] Change is difficult because the Mafia has been in this city for 150 years. [00:03:10] Common sense would dictate that no amount of money or college funding is going to rehabilitate the violent minds of these gang members. [00:03:19] That actually requires leadership and tough talk on a cultural level, something the left despises. [00:03:26] Oh, nice marmot.
