Jake's Protest Discussion
00:03:49
|
|
| If you believe. | |
| Alright folks, Owen Schroyer here for InfoWars.com. | |
| We're with Jake Lloyd and Nathan, one of our great graphics guys. | |
| He's going to be running camera today for us. | |
| We're meeting another cameraman down on the Capitol building here, the State Building in Austin, Texas. | |
| And me and Jake were just discussing kind of what we were expecting out here. | |
| Now, Jake's kind of been following this planned protest, and originally it was a protest to fight SB4, that's the Sanctuary City Bill. | |
| So that was the original protest to... | |
| Fight for sanctuary cities, protest for sanctuary cities, raise awareness that sanctuary cities are a good thing. | |
| Of course, we assumed that that was going to snowball. | |
| Into the Dreamers and into Sheriff Joe Arpaio and that's what we were kind of expecting. | |
| But then he's been monitoring this and he's realized that a lot of other groups have endorsed it. | |
| Tons of groups. | |
| And so now we're expecting as usual this to just be an all-out Trump protest using any angle they can get. | |
| But what Jake and I were just discussing is we've got all our bullhorns with us and we'll bullhorn these people if we have to. | |
| But just like the intro to the last video I shot that went viral, we don't want to bullhorn these people. | |
| You know, Jake just said it to me. | |
| He was like, yeah, I mean, every time I go to these things, I look for a conversation. | |
| I look to have a debate, and I was like, wow, I agree so much. | |
| I want to shoot a video talking about that. | |
| It's like every time we go to these things, Jake, we genuinely want to have a conversation, but we can never get it. | |
| Well, the thing is, if we could actually talk to these people, if they actually had reasons for what they believed, it would show that they can actually be reasoned with. | |
| They're reasonable people. | |
| We can discuss what we believe, and we're not going to get called a Nazi or a fascist. | |
| Right. | |
| But the fact is, they don't have articulated positions. | |
| They just believe what they're told to believe by the MSM, the establishment, all those other entities. | |
| And it really makes you scared for the future of America, because there's so many people that have no idea what they're talking about. | |
| Some of them are professors. | |
| Yeah. | |
| These aren't just people on the street. | |
| These are people educating your kids, supposedly educating the future of America. | |
| I mean, it really gives you a bleak outlook on the future. | |
| Censoring the internet, too. | |
| And so I just wanted to shoot this video as kind of a prelude. | |
| So we're heading to the state building right now, and we're going to go deal with these protesters. | |
| But again, I just want this to be on record before we get down there and go into the belly of the beast here. | |
| Our goal is to actually talk to these people. | |
| Our goal is to actually have an educated conversation and perhaps even a debate, but we want to do it civilly. | |
| We don't want to just throw around name-calling or degenerate the conversation to cursing. | |
| So I just want to give this on record. | |
| Me and Jake both discussed this, and we've been talking about this for a few days now. | |
| And, you know, it's fun to use the bullhorn. | |
| I'm not going to lie. | |
| I like using the bullhorn. | |
| It's a fun time. | |
| You get a lot of attention. | |
| You can say some things. | |
| The whole crowd hears it. | |
| And it's a good thing. | |
| But it's fun to troll. | |
| Sure, it is fun. | |
| And then they chant, don't feed the troll, and we win again. | |
| But I just wanted to get this on record. | |
| So as we're about to get to the state capitol here... | |
| We are not coming here because we hate these people. | |
| We're not coming here because we want to make these people look bad. | |
| We're not coming here vitriolic, you know, in hate. | |
| I'm actually in a great mood. | |
| I'm feeling great. | |
| Yeah, we're all three in a great mood. | |
| It's a beautiful day here in Austin, Texas. | |
| So I just wanted to get this on the record. | |
| We're going to upload this video before we get down there. | |
| We're not going down here, you know, vitriolic. | |
| We're not going down here looking for hate. | |
| We're not going down here looking to, you know, embarrass people. | |
| We're just going down here to see what the other side of... | |
|
Looking for Civil Debate
00:00:39
|
|
| No, I mean, that's about it. | |
| I mean, just going out here... | |
| Definitely looking for discussion and debate. | |
| I'm not a hateful person. | |
| Even when these people start yelling stuff at me, I just feel bad that they're in this mindset. | |
| I wish they could get free and think for themselves. | |
| So that's all we're looking for out here, but that's about it for me. | |
| So stay tuned on the Alex Jones channel on YouTube. | |
| We're going to get these videos up. | |
| Hopefully, we can find some protesters here that actually really like America and can have a debate about it, but that's not what we've seen. | |
