| Comedian Chelsea Handler wants thought crimes to be a thing. | |
| Late Sunday night, she tweeted out two Chinese guys were arrested in Berlin for making Nazi salutes. | |
| Wouldn't it be nice to have laws here for people who think racism is funny? | |
| Chelsea is likely referring to this story where two Chinese tourists ended up getting arrested for making Nazi salutes outside of Germany's parliament building. | |
| After World War II, of course, strict rules against hate speech and symbols were enacted. | |
| Germans are very familiar with the fact that they can't do the Nazi salute, but I guess these tourists were not aware of that. | |
| Now, Chelsea Handler, of course, is probably taking a jab at members of the alt-right who think it's hilarious to post racist memes. | |
| So she wants those people to be thrown in jail or face penalties. | |
| But the thing that's really ironic and why this tweet is so stupid and why Chelsea Handler really needs to stop tweeting while she's drinking. | |
| is that Chelsea Handler herself has been called a racist for making racist jokes. | |
| Back in 2007, Chelsea Handler went on The Tonight Show where she made some racist Asian jokes. | |
| Now, she was taking a jab at Angelina Jolie and her penchant for adopting children from foreign countries, so she thought it would be hilarious to poke fun at Jolie's most recent adoption, a three-year-old boy from Vietnam. | |
| And she is basically joking that this kid, Pax, doesn't even probably realize that he's Asian yet, so he doesn't know he's going to be a horrible driver. | |
| Oh boy, such a cliched Asian joke there. | |
| She's not even original, not even funny. | |
| I'm surprised she didn't talk about how great he was going to be at math someday. | |
| And that's not the only time that Chelsea Handler has been accused of being a racist. | |
| She took over the Huffington Post Twitter account during the Oscar telecast back in 2014. Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o actually won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. | |
| And so then Chelsea Handler tweeted out, Angelina Jolie just filed adoption papers for this black actress. | |
| Chelsea actually later defended herself on Good Morning America by saying, I'm not racist. | |
| I date a lot of black people. | |
| So that would be a difficult thing to explain to them. | |
| She's not racist, guys. | |
| She has black friends. | |
| And most recently, Chelsea Handler took to her Netflix-produced docu-series Chelsea Does to tackle the gigantic issue of racism, where she managed to She said she supports the fact that the TSA profiles Muslims. | |
| And ironically, when it came to Trump's hashtag Muslim ban, Chelsea Handler took to her Twitter to tell her followers to call Speaker Ryan and tell him to stand up for American values. | |
| Because after all, look guys, she's not racist against Muslims. | |
| She has a Muslim friend. | |
| So Chelsea Handler would like to see a totalitarian government that cracks down on anybody cracking a racist joke or committing a thought crime, so long as those criminals are on the right. | |
| You see, racist jokes are totally okay, as long as it's Chelsea herself who is making them. | |
| And of course, Twitter was quick to point this out. | |
| They reposted a lot of her old tweets Here's one where she jokes about her family coming back from their Nazi genealogy hunt. | |
| Another joke about Angelina Jolie when she filed for divorce. | |
| Sorry, couldn't help myself for making another racist joke. | |
| And of course, people pointed out how she has continually made fun of Melania Trump and her accent and her heritage. | |
| So Chelsea Handler wants to do away with the First Amendment and start arresting these racist joke tellers. | |
