Moonbeam, has drawn its progressive line in the sand.
Breitbart reports, the largest budget in California history contains none of Governor Jerry Brown's promised cuts.
But it's chock full of nasty surprises for taxpayers, including increases in taxes, more money for the legal defense of illegal aliens, and expands gun control.
When the economy was still struggling and revenues were skittish, Brown promised cuts to increase in education, subsidize child care, and plan to phase out a middle class college scholarship program.
According to a Capitol Radio story, Brown's budget includes $50 million in funding to Planned Parenthood to offset any federal cuts per the LA Times, prevents any new federal immigration detention contracts with local governments squashing deportations, expands the low-income tax credits to those too poor to pay state income tax, $50 million in additional aid for illegal alien legal protection, California's not turning back, not now, not ever.
His truth is marching on.
Sounding at times like a Sunday morning preacher, Governor Jerry Brown was fired up as he turned the 2017 State of the State Address into a fiery warning to the Trump administration.
Don't tread on us.
Defending the state's laws protecting undocumented immigrants.
We may be called to defend those laws, and defend them we will.
And let me be clear.
We will defend everybody, every man, woman, and child who's come here for a better life and has contributed to the well-being of our state.
According to an article in the Los Angeles Times, gun-right advocates are fuming over some language buried in the state budget bill that would expand the number of Californians who can't get guns.
Current law prohibits the possession of firearms by those convicted of a felony, but the new legislation would extend that to those with outstanding warrants for a felony or certain misdemeanors.
And as the progressive left ignores the logical reasoning for President Trump's backing out of the Paris Climate Accord, Governor Brown is stepping forward, supporting the junk science that would penalize the American taxpayer to the tune of $100 billion per year while making no real progress toward That's why I say this move by Trump makes no sense and it's going to hurt America and it's going to cost jobs, not the reverse.
I have one piece of advice for Donald Trump.
Don't fight everybody.
Pick your battles.
You don't want to mess with California because you're going to mess with the economy and that could blow up in your face in a gigantic recession and roll the Republicans right out of this town.
According to the Washington Examiner, California Governor Jerry Brown on Tuesday was named a special advisor for U.S. states ahead of the next United Nations meeting on implementing the Paris Climate Agreement.
Brown and Jay Inslee, Governor of Washington State, formed a coalition of states that have committed themselves to meeting the goals of the Paris Agreement in response to Trump's June 1st decision to exit the climate deal.
Just from a diplomatic point of view, you don't meet the governor of the largest state of America and then criticize the president.
I don't want to do that.
Sorry, Moonbeam.
Alaska is the largest state in the United States.
So, while Governor Moonbeam stabs California's shrinking middle class in the back with his socialist policies and leads a secessionist movement against the rest of the United States, the Sacramento Bee reports Governor Jerry Brown and state politicians will receive a 3% pay hike starting in December, their fifth raise in as many years.
Brown's pay will climb from $190,102 to $195,805.
But hey, maybe Providence will sort all that out when the San Andreas Fault finally says bon voyage to America.
Then we'll see just who comes crawling back to the American people for help.
And we now know that the San Andreas Fault is locked, loaded, and ready to rumble.
We now realize that the people of Los Angeles are living on borrowed time.
We now know that by digging into the soil, we can go down 1,200 years into the past, looking at soil laid down hundreds of years ago, and we find 10 major earthquakes in the last 1,000 years.
