We are outside of the Trump rally that just concluded in Melbourne.
A ton of great people out here showing their support, not just for Trump, but for the country, for freedom, for justice.
And we've just about cleared out.
I'm here with Anastasia.
She's a college student.
She was out here.
Tell me, what was your experience like at the Trump rally tonight?
My experience, it was kind of tight because there were so many supporters.
Like, seriously, there's a little corner across the street where there's, like, a bunch of protesters.
That's going to be on the news.
The tightness and the crowds, they're not going to be on the news because there are so many people who support Trump and support everything that he stands for.
What was your favorite part of the rally?
My favorite part of the rally?
Probably definitely seeing beautiful Melania.
Wait, wait, wait.
Trump is anti-immigrant.
How does he marry to an immigrant?
I don't understand.
No, but go on.
So Melania was your favorite part?
That probably was because he got to put her out first and her beautiful prayer.
Absolutely.
So have you been to a Trump event before?
Nope, this is my first.
My aunt's been to one.
My cousin's been to several.
So they finally convinced you to come to one?
Yeah.
So you're a college student.
You were telling me you're at Santa Fe right now.
What is it like?
I mean, are you public?
Do you wear your hat on campus?
Do people talk politics?
My dad actually asked me.
He's a veteran.
We get into some political conversations in classes, but most of us actually try to avoid it, try to just focus on being together in our community.
Have you seen any, like, the professors or administration or anything like that trying to politicize things?
Before the end of the election, when Trump actually won, it was a lot more professors showing, like, their support for Hillary or their dislike of Trump.
And then the day after the election, actually, one of my professors just did not say a word.
Usually we cover the news.
Everybody knew the news, and Trump won, and he was just like, okay, let's just get on with our business because I don't want to answer questions.
Just, like, what do you think, like, liberal teared out?
Yeah, he was just exhausted.
He seemed like he didn't want to come in that day.
But for you, it was probably a pretty glorious day.
There were so many, like, people just wearing their Trump merch and everything.
It was pretty funny.
So as somebody, so you're 19, you're a college student.
Obviously, you have to deal with a lot of the brainwashing that goes on in the universities, the fake news impacting these people's lives.
They come out here, they chant in the streets for two hours.
What would you say, as a peer of theirs, just what would you say, just in general, to try to get them out of their trance?
Usually my response is do your own research.
Don't listen to the liberal media because it's going to feed you lies.
They're going to tell you things that they think that you want to hear to get you on their side.
Very well put.
