Time Text
Richard Reeves with Infowars.com in Iowa City where we've just witnessed a Rand Paul event.
We've got...
Zach Townsend.
Zach with us here.
What did you think about the Rand Paul?
It was amazing.
It was great to see Ron and Rand Paul both on the same stage fighting for our liberties and the Constitution.
They're the only candidates out there that represent all our rights.
So how do you think that Rand Paul is going to look for tomorrow?
I think it's going to be a much bigger upset than the polls indicate.
They say he's at 6%, but I think it's going to be a much different story tomorrow, especially with the precinct captains that he has.
Yeah, well, it seems like potentially here in Akaka State, gauging from this that maybe he's top three, top four, somewhere in there.
Yeah, I think he could definitely be in the top one or two.
Hopefully he gets number one and he can roll on from that throughout the election.
Well, the way I see it, a top four would definitely keep Rand Paul in the game, and it would be big news.
Absolutely.
So moving forward to New Hampshire, it's pretty exciting to see this huge crowd that he had.
This crowd is comparable to what Ted Cruz had earlier today at the county fairgrounds here in Iowa City.
Tell us some of the issues that are hot on your mind, though, that really stand out.
Well, obviously, I'm against the Bilderberg Group and groups like that that have taken over our country.
Rand Paul stands up against them.
He wants to end the Fed.
He puts through the audit of the Fed bill, which is a great step forward.
He's for all our constitutional rights.
And to end the drug war, as he said, there's just all good issues with Rand Paul.
Can't really say too much bad about him.
Had you seen his dad, Rand Paul, speak in person like that before?
Absolutely.
Four years ago when he ran for president, I went to see him a few times here.
Oh, so you've actually caucused here in Iowa then?
Oh, this is going to be my first time caucusing.
I went to see him a few years ago, but...
I wasn't really sure at the time how to do it, but this year, absolutely.
Oh, well, good.
I'll tell you what, that's just it.
Evil triumphs when good men do nothing.
So the only reason that this country's on the precipice of being lost is because not enough men and not enough women have taken action.
So you think a lot more people are coming in and getting involved?
Oh, it's definitely a lot different seeing here than it was four years ago.
A lot more people are awake and know about the issues, and it's really great to see.
Well, I'll tell you what, folks, from what I'm seeing, I'm starting to think that maybe all states should be caucus states because the activity here in Iowa is wonderful to see these people getting involved.
And we are with?
Derek Oden.
Derek, so tell me what you thought about tonight's event.
I thought it was amazing.
I think we're going to send shockwaves tomorrow.
Liberty is alive and well.
It was great to see Ron Paul as well with Rand Paul, and I think we're going to send shockwaves tomorrow.
So where are you predicting Rand Paul to finish tomorrow?
I think he's going to either finish second or he's going to win.
Really?
Well, I'll tell you what, in my book, anything in the top four is a win for Rand Paul to really kind of get some momentum going before New Hampshire.
Absolutely.
I think anything to dethrone Donald Trump and Ted Cruz, who claim to be conservatives and, I guess, constitutionalists, which they're not, I think anything to dethrone them is a good move and a win for us.
Well, you know, there's red flags on Ted Cruz and some red flags on Donald Trump, but to me, when you add up Cruz, Trump, Rand Paul, Carson, Fiorina, perceived anti-establishment candidates, you're talking about that there's 70 or 80 percent of the people right there, so potentially that's really a revolution against the establishment.
Absolutely, and I think it's...
That's why they're scared.
I think that's why they're blocking out Rand Paul.
I don't necessarily agree with Trump on everything, but that's why they're going after Trump.
That's why they're going after Cruz.
I think the guy they like right now is Rubio.
And I think if they support, any candidate they support, you should be running as far away to the other side as you can.
Well, they're definitely, since at least Thursday, the Fox News debate, the mainstream has been saying, oh, Rubio's doing a surge, Rubio's doing a surge.
But like I've told our InfoWars audience earlier today, Rubio and Bush and all the Neocon Rhinos, they've been AWOL out of Iowa for two or three weeks.
They haven't been around.
So they know that it's not going that well for them.
So you're going to be coxing tomorrow night, obviously.
Absolutely, and Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Council Bluffs, so you're on the other side of the state.
We're actually from Nebraska, but we're going over to help in Iowa.
Okay, you came all the way from Nebraska.
Yes, yes, we did.
Well, see, that's one thing I found actually about Trump events and...
The Rand Paul events is people are traveling actually great distance.
These guys, did y'all drive then?
Yep, we drove.
Okay, so that's about four or five hours?
Yep, four hours.
All right, let's have a word with you.
All right, what's your name, young man?
Scott Flesher.
All right, Scott.
So, yeah, I like that shirt.
Alex, there you go.
You've got to be proud of that.
Look at that.
Yeah, look at that.
Turn around again.
Let's see it.
So, I think this guy and Leanne are the models for the...
Infowars where...
So, Scott, tell us what you thought about the Ramp Hall event tonight.
It was a lot of energy.
I loved it.
Liberty Movement's strong.
I just love Ramp Hall.
Freedom protects the Bill of Rights.
Every person, individual liberties.
That's what America's about.
Well, Scott, I'll tell you, it was pretty enthusiastic there.
It was amazing to hear that crowd.
And it's exciting to hear that crowd because probably there's a...
As far as enthusiasm goes, I mean, Bernie Sanders, although we know those guys, you know, they should be lining up to watch a Harry Potter movie, right?
Yeah.
But, you know, they are enthusiastic.
I've got to give them that.
Yeah, they have energy.
They do.
So tell Scott, what are some of the top two or three issues that really get you excited about Rand Paul?
Rand Paul, probably the biggest criminal justice reformer, I think.
That's a big thing for a lot of people in poverty.
So you're turned off by the prison industrial complex?
A little bit, yeah.
Another issue would probably just be individual liberties.
Auditing the Fed, that's huge.
Ted Cruz didn't show up for that, says a lot.
He's been a big spokesman about that, but he didn't even show up.
So, actions speak louder than words.
Well, it's encouraging to see a lot of young guys.
I mean, you must be, what, early 20s, right?
20, yep, 20. 20 years old?
Good guess.
It's encouraging to see young folks getting involved, and I know, Alex, you should be very happy about seeing the young guys really there to start fighting for liberty and freedom.
Scott, give us some final thoughts to our audience.
I just think there's a lot of hope for the nation.
It's glad to see all the young people in the nation coming together.
We have a lot of seniors in high school that came out for this, too.
I love the energy and the Liberty Movement is coming.
Alright, there you have it folks.
Scott here all the way from Nebraska, these guys.
They will go a long ways.
