[00:00:04] And we have an interloper visiting to check out Ted Cruz. [00:00:08] We have Anna from Illinois. [00:00:10] Tells us she's a Democrat. [00:00:11] But you're still here, so you're obviously interested. [00:00:13] So tell us what's going on. [00:00:15] Absolutely. [00:00:15] So I'm here in Iowa visiting a dear old friend from college. [00:00:19] And this is the fifth event we've been able to attend in our short visit. [00:00:25] We're heading back to Chicago tonight. [00:00:31] Rubio, Hillary, Bernie, and now Cruz. [00:00:34] So tell us some of the highlights you've seen so far. [00:00:37] Well, it was very striking. [00:00:38] Bernie's crowd was definitely the most fired up. [00:00:40] I was a little surprised by Trump's crowd. [00:00:43] It was a big crowd and they were enthusiastic. [00:00:45] Bernie's crowd was like a Led Zeppelin reunion tour. [00:00:49] I mean, they were just... [00:00:51] So they pretty much had the mosh pit going, right? [00:00:54] Just about. [00:00:55] Just about. [00:00:55] They were absolutely thrilled to be there. [00:00:57] Couldn't have been more excited. [00:00:59] Cornel West was the opening speaker, and he presented like a preacher. [00:01:05] Talking to the choir, so they were very excited. [00:01:08] All the other crowds had been good, but not quite on fire that way. [00:01:14] So you can confirm the enthusiasm gap between Hillary's crowds and Bernie's? [00:01:18] Yeah, I did see that. [00:01:20] Hillary's crowd was enthusiastic. [00:01:22] Bernie's was off the charts. [00:01:25] It was really almost like either a revival meeting or some major, major... [00:01:33] You know, biggest band in the world, like you're coming to see the Rolling Stones or something like that. [00:01:37] And it was fairly, it was not huge, it was several hundred people, but the energy was just crazy. [00:01:44] Okay, so tell us, let's compare the GOP events that you've been to then. [00:01:48] Give us kind of a breakdown of what you witnessed there. [00:01:50] Well, unfortunately, I had to miss the Rubio event yesterday because I had some work to do. [00:01:54] They were describing, according to my friends, and they also went to Christie, let's see, they did Christie, Rubio, and Paul. [00:02:04] And they found that Trump was very, very general. [00:02:10] Kind of very broad statements, not a lot of policy. [00:02:13] According to my friends who've been to all the other events, there was much more policy detail from the other three GOP contenders that they've seen. [00:02:22] So for your friends in attendance, was that a big concern to them then? [00:02:28] We're here to learn about all of this. [00:02:30] I don't think anyone from our group is... [00:02:36] Particularly concerned on behalf of any of the candidates, I don't know if I'd put it that way, but they're interested in learning what do people care about, what do these different candidates have to say, but I think just as much it's about learning from the crowds. [00:02:50] You know, what is the big applause line in this or that group? === Make Your Voice Heard (00:25) === [00:02:55] What's on folks' minds the most? [00:02:58] And, you know, we're just learning about our fellow Americans that way. [00:03:02] Well, Ana, I appreciate you being active in the process, so that's great. [00:03:06] Any final words for our audience? [00:03:08] Well, that's a very good question. [00:03:10] Just make sure you come out and caucus. [00:03:11] Whoever you are supporting, you know, do your part and make your voice heard. [00:03:16] Alright, thank you so much. [00:03:18] Thank you. [00:03:18] Bye-bye. [00:03:19] Take care.
