Leanne McAdoo reporting for InfoWars.com.
Still here in the airport.
We have been really delayed by some severe weather out there, but wanted to get to some articles that are trending in the news right now.
We're obviously on our way to Flint, Michigan to cover the federal crisis going on there with the contaminated water.
But President Obama is in Detroit today.
He is going to be visiting with residents there in the neighborhoods to give himself a little pat on the back before he goes to visit.
The North American International Auto Show.
He wants to speak with the residents about the progress the city's made with his administration's help.
Now, oh my goodness.
First of all, let's just go ahead and point out how...
General Motors was bailed out.
And then how did they repay the taxpayer?
By shipping all of their jobs overseas.
And, of course, we've seen an increase in auto sales because the price of gas has come down.
But they're saying that Detroit's well-documented issues of crime, a struggling school system, and high unemployment remain.
But there has been extraordinary progress in a city that's been getting positive buzz.
And people are bringing in businesses there.
Entrepreneurs are bringing in artisanal...
Grilled cheese shops and things.
So basically, they're completely transforming Detroit.
It has nothing to do with revitalizing the neighborhoods that are already there.
We have a lot of foreigners coming in.
We have a lot of young people coming in because they're buying these dilapidated homes for $200 in this crumbling city and bringing in a totally different dynamic in Detroit.
Obviously, that's great, but...
Obama, you didn't build that.
And a lot of people are wanting to throw Governor Snyder under the bus because here he's this Republican governor that, yes, was voted in because of all the failed policies that preceded him that brought Detroit, once a great American city, into the first American city to have to file for bankruptcy.
So a lot of people want to throw Snyder under the bus, but, of course, he's a Republican governor, and everybody knows that economies and jobs Flourish under a GOP governor and that's exactly what happened here and of course with entrepreneurs able to buy up homes and businesses and a lot of work facing a lot of regulations that they were in the past of course this is now economy thriving but Obama's in there he wants to go ahead and take all of the credit for it now A
lot of people are saying, and this is here, you know, jobs, economy, grow more under GOP governors.
Michigan was actually the top there in the jobless rate decline in the entire country after we had a Republican governor going in there.
But people are still on Twitter saying, Obama, come to Flint, come and save us.
He's not coming to save you.
He's going to go to Detroit, pat himself on the back for something he did not build.
While we have this Flint water crisis in the background, he's not even going to Flint.
He met with the mayor at the White House yesterday.
And, you know, here are people in a major crisis, and they're still saying, come and save us.
Guess what?
Obama's EPA ignored the people in Flint.
And we're going to get to more of this later when we finally get to Michigan.
But this is how the government and this columnist here...
Ron Fournier, he says that he even failed because he kind of let this kind of get out of hand.
But what happened in April of last year, months before this contamination was exposed, there was actually an EPA water expert, Miguel del Toro.
He identified problems in Flint's drinking water.
He confirmed his suspicions there.
He sent out an internal memo.
Now, this memo was kept under wraps by EPA Midwest Chief Susan Hedman.
The analyst was forbidden from making his finding public, according to Edwards, who secured an embarrassing batch of EPA emails via Freedom of Information Act requests.
So, there you go.
Obama's EPA covered this up.
He is now in Detroit, throwing at everyone's face, saying, look what my administration did.
But Obama, you know what?
You didn't build that.
That's the American people, and that's what entrepreneurs can do when they're not saddled with heavy regulations.
So we're going to be filing some more reports, hoping that we can get on this next flight.
We've got some major weather blocking our route.
We've had to switch planes twice now.
So we are going to be filing more reports once we get to Michigan.
And stay tuned to Infowars.com.
