Time Text
Joe Biggs here with Infowars.com.
Now I'm standing outside of the U.S. Embassy in London, England.
Now just days ago, myself and Michael Zimmerman were in Paris covering the aftermath of the massacre that happened on Friday the 13th.
But there's something else that's come out of this story.
Something very horrific.
Something quite frankly a little bit scary and unsettling.
A Macon, Georgia couple.
Was turned away from the embassy after the Paris attacks.
A man and his pregnant wife were fleeing from the chaos, the gunfire, the explosions, trying to seek shelter.
And in that time and in that moment...
They knew nothing else to do except to find the embassy and try and get there.
And when they got there, they were turned away.
So what we decided to go do was go to the U.S. Embassy in Paris and talk to a representative from there and ask him about that situation.
Here is what he had to say.
So just say if something were to happen again.
If we needed to come here, would we be able to do that?
Well, I'm saying if another attack were to happen and we needed to go somewhere.
This is not Saigon in April 1975 with helicopters on the roof evacuating the American ship.
Yeah, I know.
Something happens in Paris.
Terrorists are striking.
Do you really want to go to one of the biggest targets in Paris and stay there?
Do you feel safer here?
Because on the Friday night there was a...
There was a great deal of compassion on the part of people.
There was a Twitter shelter in Paris.
People were opening their doors to people because there were very few taxis and people were being taken in.
So some guy with a six-month pregnant wife is going to walk two miles to the embassy.
There were a lot of other solutions.
If you got to any hotel nearby, they would have said, please sit here.
They would have had a nice cup of tea.
And when the situation called down, they would have called a taxi.
Even for people who want to register their presence, do they have to physically come in?
No, do it online.
You're a lot safer in front of your computer than if you are sitting in front of our computer in the waiting room doing exactly the same thing.
Cool.
Yeah.
But, you know, Americans are helped 24-7.
You know, they're duty officers.
Right.
But if you're, you know, nobody is turned away without the proper, if somebody comes here who's been a victim of a crime, okay, I've worked the night shift.
Even at 3 o'clock in the morning, we wake up the duty officer, we explain what to do.
You know, but it's not an evacuation situation.
Now, you heard what he just said.
This isn't Saigon.
This is supposed to be a safe place for us as American citizens.
When we go into foreign countries, that's pretty much the entire point, is to have that so we can keep relations and also, if something happens, take care of our own kind and make sure that they're protected.
Now we have come out here to the embassy in London and...
We're not able to speak to anybody due to it being the weekend, but we will follow up and talk to them.
We also have information that three other students who are foreign exchange students actually living in Spain, going to school there, had came to Paris for the weekend as well during the attacks and were also refused shelter, comfort, security in a place where the citizens should feel safe.
Now, one of the things I thought was very disturbing is the guy said, why would you want to come here?
Well, let me see.
I have fellow Americans in there that are my brothers, my sisters.
They have weapons.
They have the ability to protect me.
And the guy kind of laughs when I said that and goes, well, this is a number one target.
He's like, why would you want to come here?
He's like...
Just go stay in someone else's house or go into a cafe.
Well, I guess he didn't really read the reports, but the cafes got shot up.
Quite frankly, I have a question for Jane Hartley, the U.S. ambassador for France.
Why would you turn away citizens in a time of need like that?
That is disturbing on all levels.
You should be able to welcome those people in, especially a family, a husband, his pregnant wife, and three female foreign exchange students.
There's some answering that needs to be done, and I guarantee you we will find out why this is happening.
