Time Text
Jakari Jackson for Infowars.com out here at the UT campus.
They're having a, I guess, Moms Demand Action Rally, the gun control group that wants to ban things like fully automatic assault rifles, even though they tell you that they don't.
And assault rifles account for less deaths than knives and hammers in the United States of America.
But today they're talking about campus care, which, you know...
You hear a lot of the reports talking about how there's an epidemic of campus rape and all these other things, so I don't know why somebody would be against, you know, the young ladies or anybody, for that matter, responsible citizen getting their concealed carry and being able to carry.
So, thus far...
Somebody or multiple people have already been arrested for just holding signs, which I thought was exceptionally troubling.
You know, because oftentimes you do have somewhat of a police presence come out when you have people open carrying.
But to have somebody get arrested for just simply holding a sign in the United States of America is rather troubling.
How you doing, Cap?
It's Cap America over there.
I was here with Tom Jefferson when he got arrested, and I should have gotten arrested with him, but I didn't because I have this aversion to jail.
I don't like jail food.
So I left and Tom stayed, much to his credit.
My hat's off to Tom Jefferson, my good friend.
It's the second time he's gone to jail on behalf of the First and Second Amendment.
They told us we couldn't be up here because this space was on the agenda for them to use.
And since our names were not on that agenda, we were not permitted in that area.
So there is no free speech in that area, only if you had the right sign.
The guy was checking signs.
He was looking at everybody's sign.
The big guy with the suit.
And I go, uh-oh, he's going to look at our sign and tell us to hit the road.
So he looked at everybody's sign, and then he saw somebody goes, those guys!
So he came back to me and Tom and says, you guys have to leave.
You're not part of this group.
And I said, well, I'm part of the United States.
I'm a Texas citizen.
I pay taxes here.
Yeah, public university.
I can come here and express my opinion.
Not here, you can't.
If you stay here any longer, I will have you arrested.
And so I thought, I toss that around in my head.
Do I want to get arrested today?
I go, not here for these people, you know.
But Tom...
I felt very strongly about it, so he stayed knowing he would get arrested.
And I know he did it to bring attention to what's going on here, which will do some good for the community in the long run, because it will draw attention.
Any time you draw attention to something, that's like when you get an infection.
That infection is telling you there needs to be some attention to that area.
So this campus has an infection.
It's called liberalism.
And it's affected by Agenda 21. Agenda 21 is alive and well at this campus.
And they fully are unaware of what's going on with Agenda 21. And if they read it, they'll agree with it because it's all about the environment.
And we've got to say, environment.
Well, it's a lot of BS to take away our rights.
That's what it is.
Those of us who've read it and who've delved into this subject a little more understand it.
But the people here, a lot of them, just don't have that understanding.
They have only the understanding they get from the classroom here and from CBS, ABC, NBC, Fox News, whatever they listen to for their information.
I think it's very troubling to have not just the Second Amendment issue, but just the First Amendment to the point where you could get arrested in the United States of America on a public university for simply holding a sign.
Not even a citation, which I thought would be extreme enough, but actually arrested.
Yeah, Jakari, this happens all the time.
I've seen Facebook posts from all over the nation where people don't have the rights to pass out handbook constitutions or pass out their leaflets on the street or whatever because they don't have a permit to do so.
It's like our culture has gotten so heavily involved in permits.
Permit to this and permit to that and permit to that.
It's like the government has control of everything you do.
If you don't have a permit to do it, you can't do it.
And if you told our forefathers what our permit society was all about now, they would pull their hair out and just, you know, Ben Franklin would be bald and very angry.
You know, that we allowed this to happen.
That we buried our heads in the sand so deeply that we don't see what's going on around us.
You know, and I told one student, I said, "What's the next thing?" I said, "A young lady," she said, "Well, you know, we're just armed with reason." That's what the t-shirt said on the back.
Armed with reason.
Let's say a guy comes to your dorm.
Knocks on your door, and you let him in, and he pulls out a knife or a gun and says, okay, take off all your clothes, I'm going to rape you, and then I'm going to torture you, and then I'm going to kill you.
And you have no choice.
Well, wait a minute.
I'm armed with reason.
Well, we know that the gun-free zone signs don't work because when they went to the guy who went to the recruiting station, you know, he went out there, he shot the recruiting stations out, big gun-free zone sign, and then stop a single bullet.
Right.
You know, then they even threatened to charge one of the guys who had his concealed carry.
Exactly.
You know, so.
Reason doesn't stop bullets, or it doesn't stop rapists, doesn't stop people with ill intent.
And like I said, I'm not out here trying to put a gun in everybody's hand, but if you're a responsible adult and you choose to carry a firearm, that should be your business.
Yeah, what's wrong with a student who's mentally stable, legally able, gets a firearm test and a safety test and learns how to go to the range and learns how to shoot and how to do it safely, and he's mentally...
Okay, why can't he be allowed to carry on campus?
He's not a criminal.
He's not a sicko who wants to hurt people.
He has no record of psychiatric help or any of that kind of stuff.
Let the guy have his protection.
Or a girl for that matter.
And I said to one person, I said, how many campus cops are there here to protect you if something crazy happens?
You're in an assembly hall.
There's no weapons in there.
The guy comes in with an AK-47, pulls it out of his bag, and just starts spying the room.
What are you going to do?
Just go, oh, don't shoot me.
Lie down and die.
You don't have any choice.
Run if you can.
That's about it.
But if you have a concealed carry, you can duck under the desk and maybe shoot his feet out from under him or do something to stop this guy.
Yeah, and a lot of times you don't even have to, you know, get the kill shot on the guy.
If they know that you're returning fire, that'll be enough to scare a lot of guys off.
Well, they might drop their weapon and run, because if they don't have a weapon, then nobody's going to go, oh, that's the guy.
You know, so they'll drop their weapon and run.
And then, you know, that's another scenario.
But people don't carry these scenarios out in their heads.
They think if they post a sign that says, no guns allowed...
Nobody's going to bring a gun in here because there's a sign.
The sign will protect them.
Well, I don't know.
You know, Jakari, if I gave you a.40 caliber gun right now...
I think I could blow through that sign.
You think you could shoot through the sign and take me out?
I think you could do it.
So the sign ain't going to do jack.
Alright, well thank you so much, Cap.
You're welcome.
