Jakari Jackson, along with David Knight in Times Square.
Now, we were previously in Washington, D.C., documenting Pope Francis' first visit to the United States.
Now we're here in New York and then later on going on to Philadelphia.
I'll give you a brief itinerary for what the Pope has scheduled this coming Friday.
At 8.30, he's going to be at the United Nations General Assembly.
We'll talk about that here in a second.
Also, 11.30 at a 9-11 memorial.
Going on to Our Lady Queen of Angels in East Harlem at 4 p.m.
And it goes on from there.
And then he's going to cap off the night at Madison Square Garden with a mask.
Tickets only, of course.
And when he comes to the United Nations, he's going to be there with many other world leaders who are all going to be protected by guns.
Because these are the people who are in a giant building with a giant gun tied into a knot.
But all of them have armed security.
You know, whether it's President Obama, the Pope, or many of these other leaders who come here to the United States of America, they come here and they have armed security, not just armed.
Many of these guys are visibly armed, whether it's a sidearm or a long gun.
And why do they do this?
Because they understand that the visual deterrence It's a visual deterrent deters people who want to come and do them harm.
Oh, you wonder why people walk around in open carry in places like Texas.
They understand it's a visual deterrent to people who want to come and do them physical harm.
That's why you have a Second Amendment in the United States of America to protect yourselves and to protect your families.
They understand this, and that's why they have armed security, but they don't want you to be armed.
They want to do things like the U.N. arms trade treaty, which will impact the number of firearms and ammunition that is allowed to come into the United States of America.
