Special Reports & Tweets - Largest Distraction in Rome Discovered Aired: 2015-08-04 Duration: 09:20 === Roman Colosseum Insights (08:45) === [00:00:02] Rob Dew reporting for Infowars.com and Infowars Nightly News. [00:00:07] I wanted to show you guys a view of my room. [00:00:09] This is right inside my little hotel room. [00:00:14] It's basically three very small apartment rooms, and we get served a little breakfast in the morning. [00:00:22] Not extravagant, but you can't beat the view. [00:00:25] I mean, if you want history, look no further than the Roman Colosseum. [00:00:30] It began being built in 72 A.D. by the Emperor Vespasian. [00:00:36] It was completed about eight years later by the Emperor Titus. [00:00:42] And it held, they say, between 50,000 to 80,000 people. [00:00:46] They had gladiatorial matches, sea battles. [00:00:49] They would flood water in the bottom of the Colosseum and do naval battles. [00:00:56] They had famous land battles. [00:00:57] They would do hunts with animals. [00:00:59] Just plain old executions, and they'd even do some drama every once in a while. [00:01:04] But what people really liked was the killing. [00:01:06] They loved the gladiatorial events. [00:01:09] And as Rome fell further and further into decay, they would have more and more and more events. [00:01:14] They would have them for 200 straight days of just killing people, Christians, having gladiatorial contests, and you name it, they were doing it. [00:01:25] And it was all to keep the public distracted on what was really going on. [00:01:29] So you could say that this is a monument to the biggest distraction on Earth, right here. [00:01:37] And you can see they have scaffolding built on the sides. [00:01:40] They're doing some repair work. [00:01:42] I think what they actually do is drill holes and then insert concrete in there to keep it from falling apart. [00:01:51] But there only seems to be a scaffold on one side. [00:01:57] But back to the distraction. [00:01:58] This is their number one tourist destination in Rome. [00:02:01] Even today, people flock to it. [00:02:04] And it is super hot out there, let me tell you. [00:02:06] It is Texas-level heat. [00:02:09] The sun feels a little hotter out here. [00:02:12] It really just burns your skin. [00:02:15] And I was out there for a good three, four hours today. [00:02:19] I'll show you what I look like now. [00:02:21] I'm a little tired, a little sweaty. [00:02:24] You know, I felt I had to do this report. [00:02:26] I just put up one on the Alex Jones channel talking about a museum complex that I went to and discovered that they were using it to promote eugenics. [00:02:37] They were trying to... [00:02:38] they distract you with this beautiful architecture and these crazy shapes that are buildings. [00:02:45] And inside, while some of the stuff may be okay... [00:02:49] They have an agenda in there, and it's to promote eugenics and race cleansing. [00:02:52] And that's something that we always have to be on the lookout and at least recognize it when it's there. [00:02:57] Go back to the Coliseum. [00:03:00] There's traffic 24 hours driving by here. [00:03:04] But I don't mind. [00:03:05] It was great waking up in the morning and seeing the sun rise on the Coliseum. [00:03:10] And it was quite a trip to get here. [00:03:12] And there's ruins in the back. [00:03:15] This is the whole Forum area. [00:03:18] There's acres and acres of old ruins. [00:03:22] It's a really interesting area. [00:03:23] I can't wait to explore more of it. [00:03:26] But getting back to Italy and how it's doing on our investigation. [00:03:30] When we landed, we were waiting for our luggage. [00:03:32] It took almost two hours for the luggage to arrive from the plane. [00:03:37] I thought that was a little extreme. [00:03:39] But it just goes to show you that they probably don't have enough workers working the luggage carriers. [00:03:45] I went to get a coffee. [00:03:48] It pops down, and water comes out, and then a spoon. [00:03:53] A cup came out too, but no coffee. [00:03:55] There's no out-of-order sign. [00:03:58] I saw three other people use that coffee machine and not get any coffee. [00:04:02] And you look at the reports that the mafia has infiltrated the local Roman government. [00:04:09] Mainly through weird contracts, overbidding contracts. [00:04:13] So they're just siphoning money out of the central government. [00:04:16] So then there's no money for things like trash pickup. [00:04:19] Although, from where I've been, I haven't seen anything too out of the ordinary. [00:04:26] No overflowing giant trash bins or anything. [00:04:29] I haven't seen that, but I will report on that if I do see it. [00:04:32] But I talked to a guy last night, right when I got in. [00:04:35] He was my roommate. [00:04:36] He actually stayed up out front waiting for me because they knew I was going to be a little late. [00:04:42] And he is Italian. [00:04:46] And I said, well, how is your government doing? [00:04:49] There's trash collection going on right now. [00:04:51] I said, how's the economy? [00:04:54] He said, it's scheisse, as they say in German. [00:05:00] I said, is it worse than Greece's? [00:05:02] He said... [00:05:03] Much worse than Greece's. [00:05:04] We have way more debt. [00:05:06] We can't pay it back. [00:05:08] And he said there's just so much corruption here that he couldn't believe it. [00:05:13] And he said the reason they don't have bailouts and stuff here is because they know, or more bailouts, they know Italians aren't going to follow the rules anyway. [00:05:22] He said Italians don't follow the law. [00:05:24] There's an old saying about that. [00:05:26] And that was coming from an Italian, not from me. [00:05:29] But it was interesting. [00:05:31] He said they were much worse off than Greece as I was pulling my luggage in. [00:05:34] And it was about 1.30 in the morning, so I didn't pull out my camera and interview him, but he does live around here. [00:05:40] There's a Centurion. [00:05:43] Probably going to come out and pose for pictures. [00:05:46] Probably. [00:05:47] It's probably his sole employment right there, is dressing up like that guy and going out into... [00:05:54] Into the Coliseum grounds to do battle. [00:05:57] There were also soldiers at the Coliseum. [00:06:00] I shot some footage of that. [00:06:01] I didn't get right up in their face because of what happened in Spain where I was just shooting them in the corner of my frame and they freaked out and wanted me to erase all my footage. [00:06:14] These guys had submachine guns. [00:06:16] There was an attack here a few weeks ago. [00:06:18] With a guy who was yelling, Allah is great, and he held a knife to a woman's neck, and he was able to be stopped by police. [00:06:24] But this is what's going on. [00:06:26] There's other instances where the Italians are really angry about the immigration policies here. [00:06:31] They're just bringing them in, which was part of the agenda of Bilderberg. [00:06:35] I was talking about how they're going to deal with the immigration problem. [00:06:39] Well, they're just going to let them in and find places for them. [00:06:42] In fact, actually, the Colosseum, after it stopped being used in medieval times, was used... [00:06:47] For temporary housing for people. [00:06:50] And they used it for other purposes. [00:06:53] It just goes to show you that you have giant distractions like this to keep you from thinking about the real problems in your world and in your life. [00:07:04] So you have to overcome those distractions. [00:07:06] And that's where I guess the true measure of what humans are. [00:07:11] Are we going to let ourselves be distracted? [00:07:13] Not by just the Coliseum, but all these events that are going on that have no really big sense in the big picture, like Caitlyn Jenner. [00:07:22] Doesn't really matter, but we're going to be hearing about Caitlyn Jenner and who her boyfriends or girlfriends are for the next five years until that media contract wears out. [00:07:32] Or any other distraction that can come along. [00:07:35] Whether it be somebody who says the N-word, like Hulk Hogan. [00:07:38] I mean, they just... [00:07:39] They want to take every little thing that doesn't matter and try to blow it up into something that matters. [00:07:44] But you look at what Italy has become and Rome has become. [00:07:50] This is the greatest city on earth at one time. [00:07:52] And it has fallen into ruin. [00:07:55] And from talking with a couple locals, they don't seem to think there's any change coming back out of it. [00:08:00] Same in Spain. [00:08:01] While on the surface, the IMF says, hey, it's doing great. [00:08:04] We think there's going to be less unemployment. [00:08:09] I think anything less than 25% is, you know, you're not doing too good. [00:08:13] You've got to get it down to, you know, 3%, 4% if you're lucky. [00:08:18] And they just don't have enough jobs available for people, which is why you have people walking around the beach, you know, selling beers for a euro. [00:08:27] I actually bought water from a guy for two euros here. [00:08:31] He wanted three euros. === Window Frame Time Lapse (00:47) === [00:08:33] I said, no, I'm not giving you three euros for a little water. [00:08:36] I said, I don't care how cold it is. [00:08:37] He goes, okay, two. [00:08:39] It's probably what he wanted anyway. [00:08:41] And that's just the way they haggle. [00:08:42] They're good little hagglers here. [00:08:44] But anyway, I just wanted to show you guys a view of my room. [00:08:48] And actually, if you pull back, you can actually see the window frame. [00:08:51] It's the window frame from the inside of my room. [00:08:54] I've got the GoPro going. [00:08:55] I should have a pretty amazing time lapse. [00:08:57] I've been running it since about 8 this morning. [00:09:01] And let's see what time it is now. [00:09:03] It's 2.43. [00:09:06] So, anyway, there's your look at the Roman Colosseum. [00:09:09] That's what I get to wake up to for the next few days, and it looks like I've got a text message, so I need to check it.
