[00:00:17] Now, emergency responders are on the scene of an explosion and collapse at a building in Manhattan's East Village. [00:00:22] The explosion and collapse were reported at around 3.30 or so at 7th Street and 2nd Avenue Thursday afternoon. [00:00:28] Now, multiple injuries have been reported. [00:00:30] The fire department said two people were rushed to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition. [00:00:34] The collapse occurred at 125 2nd Avenue, which is a residential and commercial building. [00:00:40] Fire could be seen tearing through at least... [00:00:42] Two buildings at the location. [00:00:43] Video from the scene showed a huge column of flames shooting up 20 or more feet through the top of a building. [00:00:49] Now, you know, a lot of these things have been happening lately with gas, so who knows if that happened. [00:00:55] The fire department believes that it could be the cause of a gas explosion, but they're still looking into it. [00:01:01] Mayor Bill de Blasio and Police Commissioner Bill Bratton are on their way to the scene as of right now, and according to the Department of Building records, there was a stop work order on the building.
