Charlie Hebdo Attacks Controversy
00:03:50
|
|
| Joe Biggs here with Infowars.com Now, we are standing outside of the Curtis Colwell Convention Center in Garland, Texas, just above Dallas, Texas. | |
| Now, today there's going to be a rally at 5 p.m., the Stand with the Prophet rally. | |
| There's going to be a lot of controversial Islamic speakers, an imam from New York City that is coming here. | |
| We first read in the Washington Free Beacon article a few days ago that this was going to happen. | |
| And I kind of had an idea that there would probably be some people in a small town like this in Texas that are going to show up and protest this. | |
| And as you can see back here, there are hundreds of people lined up and down the road, waving their American flags, Jewish flags. | |
| A lot of people have the Jesus Charlie signs up from the attacks that happened in France at Charlie Hebdo. | |
| What's your name? | |
| I'm just a boy, Rocco. | |
| Nice to meet you. | |
| So why are you out here today, sir? | |
| Well, it's a nice day, number one. | |
| And number two, you know, it's everybody's right to practice their religion and live their lives and kind of get along, and so... Well, so I heard that one of the main reasons of the rally was just kind of squash of a lot of the Islamophobia that they say is created by the mainstream media. | |
| Do you believe the mainstream media hypes up this Islamophobia? | |
| I feel they're benefiting from that industry, yeah. | |
| And how so? | |
| Well, it just keeps people making money. | |
| What do you think about the Charlie Hebdo attacks? | |
| I think it was a tragedy. | |
| So, in any kind of way, do you condone anything like that whatsoever? | |
| Because a lot of people think... No. | |
| I don't condone any killing of anybody. | |
| And you support freedom of speech, right? | |
| Yes. | |
| So you have no problem with the other side as well coming out here to speak their minds and all that? | |
| As long as no one forces their religion on you and you don't do it to them, everyone's fine and dandy, right? | |
| Exactly. | |
| I like the idea of the bikers going around, you know, making their Harleys all nice and loud and it's cool. | |
| Now, what do you think about one of the people that were going to come out here to speak today? | |
| They said that one of the men, the Imam from New York, had possible ties, and I don't think he was ever indicted, but in the 93 bombings of the World Trade Center. | |
| What do you think about someone like that coming in here and speaking? | |
| Don't you think that's going to have some kind of a sour look on it? | |
| No, I don't, because he's... I've attended a high school graduation two years ago, where he was the keynote speaker, and he's been here several times, and I don't understand why all of a sudden It was just, you know, a perfect storm where, you know, it happened. | |
| But he's been here often. | |
| And there's been many other Muslims. | |
| There's been Eid prayers here every year for I don't know how long. | |
| So, I mean, this is... | |
| To me it was a little odd living here and then reading what you... on Facebook and whatnot. | |
| My name is Alif Rahman, one of the organizers. | |
| So if you see an orange shirt, you can find us and talk to us. | |
| ISIS, ISIL, is a terrorist organization. | |
| They are a shame for humanity. | |
| They are a shame for our religion. | |
| So you don't condone anything they do whatsoever? | |
| They are criminals. | |
| They need to be rounded up and tried as criminals. | |
| If you look at their strategy, they're focusing on the young people between 18 and 24, who are already frustrated. | |
| They don't know much. | |
| And so it's easy to bring it in. | |
| So they work as corporate business structures. | |
| They are after money. | |
| And everybody wants to use Islam because it's the easiest scapegoat. | |
