Special Reports & Tweets - Canned Goods To Fight Active Shooters Aired: 2015-01-14 Duration: 03:07 === Alice Training Program (03:07) === [00:00:00] This is Jakari Jackson for Infowars.com. [00:00:02] Now something that's very important to us in this country is the safety of our school children. [00:00:07] Understandably so. [00:00:07] But we can't all agree on how best to protect them. [00:00:10] And now we have this article. [00:00:12] Alabama Middle School Principal Tells Kids to Bring Hand Goods to Class and Throw Them at Possible Gunmen. [00:00:17] Here's a note that a parent received from the school. [00:00:20] And this is W.F. Burns Middle School. [00:00:22] And we'll show you a little bit of this training. [00:00:24] It's called the Alice Training Program. [00:00:26] I'm hearing a gun. [00:00:29] To repeat, there is a gun that can be two more followed moving toward the main hall. [00:00:32] Holy crap, they got a gun! [00:00:38] Oh my God! [00:00:41] Terrible! [00:00:42] Wait a minute, that's not how I'm supposed to go. [00:00:50] You said they should keep moving and throw things. [00:00:53] They didn't do either of those things. [00:00:55] No, they followed their natural instinct to hide. [00:00:57] And what did that make them? [00:00:58] Saving duck. [00:01:01] Bye. [00:01:02] Right, and sitting ducks makes easy targets, and we don't want to make anything easy for the intruder. [00:01:08] Can we try again? [00:01:09] - Absolutely. [00:01:10] - Yay! - He's wearing a black trench coat with an orange ski mask and carrying a gun. [00:01:20] I repeat, there is a gun that made a shooter's hallway moving toward the main hall. [00:01:24] - Boy crap, I had a gun! - And this is this particular program. [00:01:39] They don't do this at every school, but this school is participating in this program. [00:01:43] And while I do applaud them for not being sitting ducks and actively trying to defend themselves, I think a much better strategy would be to simply arm the teachers. [00:01:51] You have the principal. [00:01:53] You have the janitor. [00:01:54] Maybe there's a locked cabinet, a gun case someplace where a teacher has an access key. [00:02:00] Or in some places, like Harold ISD in Texas, they are... [00:02:08] Every one of the plans in the United States and schools' emergency plans are to lock the doors and hide the kids. [00:02:16] Well, that was disturbing to us because we're 30 minutes from law enforcement. [00:02:20] We had no way to protect ourselves, and there wasn't anybody around to take care of us. [00:02:26] We were our first responders. [00:02:28] I came up with a plan, and the plan has been on the news a lot. [00:02:32] It's a pretty self-explanatory week. [00:02:34] They have to have a CHL. We approve them. [00:02:38] The board approves them individually. [00:02:39] We undergo some extra training. [00:02:41] And then we use frangible ammunition, which, you know, breaks apart when it hits hard objects, to avoid ricocheting. [00:02:48] And to me, that's a much better plan than having your kids throw canned goods. [00:02:51] Once again, you know, kids protect yourself most definitely. [00:02:54] But if you have armed teachers... [00:02:56] Whether it's a teacher that carries concealed or they have some type of gun case, like I said, the principal or the janitor, maybe you have a few of these scattered around the building. [00:03:03] If there is a scenario, you would be better able to defend yourselves.
