This is Jakari Jackson, Infowars.com.
I have some exciting open carry news.
Even if you guys aren't from the state of Texas, you've probably heard a lot about the open carry marches.
Now we have a chance or opportunity for open carry as far as a pistol here in the state of Texas.
And this is something that people are very excited about.
This is...
HB195, relating to the carrying of handguns, providing for the open carrying of handguns, removing the requirements that a person who may lawfully possess a handgun, obtain a concealed handgun license in order to carry a handgun lawfully.
We've seen our soon-to-be governor, Greg Abbott, saying that he will support an open carry bill.
He says if open carry is good enough for Massachusetts, it's also good enough for the state of Texas.
So we'll see if he'll follow through on this.
Hopefully he does.
And to talk more about this open carry movement, you know, this is something that I came to experience at my time I started here.
With InfoWars back in 2012, there's a lot of rallies, a lot of movements.
You know, of course, I think one of the most famous open carry guys, C.J. Grisham, a guy who was arrested for carrying a rifle, you know, out in the woods, you know, hiking with his son or whatever the case was.
And, you know, he wants to bring light to the fact, as well as many other open carry organizations, Open Carry Texas come and take it, many others as well, that in the state of Texas, you cannot carry a pistol on your hip, you know, unless it...
Of course, it's concealed, and then you need a concealed handgun license for it.
So they say, you know, what sense does it make that we can walk around with these rifles, with these shotguns on our shoulders, but we can't walk around with a pistol on our hip?
So this is the reason why a lot of these guys go out here and they demonstrate.
Now, I can't go as far as saying that if the handgun open carry bill is passed, that these rallies and...
Marches will stop and nor should they.
But, you know, you may see a decrease in these things.
And also to all the people who are anti these open carry rallies and movements, you know, would it be less shocking for you if you walk into your favorite convenience store or restaurant and there's not a bunch of guys with rifles or shotguns.
They just have a pistol on the hip.
Would that be, you know, less cause for concern?
But, you know, talking about these people being arrested for essentially no crime, let's talk about the black-powder pistol that allowed these guys to carry.
Even though it's not a crime in the state of Texas to carry a black-powder pistol, these are some people I've personally witnessed being arrested.
Disabled vet arrested for antique gun.
Texas man arrested for black-powder pistol.
Texas DPS assault gun advocates.
And these are just people I have personally witnessed.
You know, I was there at all these events to get arrested.
They weren't doing anything wrong.
I know there are multiple rallies, multiple people all across the nation.
I can't vouch for everybody because I wasn't there in every situation.
But in these situations, these people were legal and lawful.
They weren't doing anything wrong, but they were arrested anyway, even though they weren't committing any type of crime.
So let me know what you think about this in the comments below.
Do you think it's good?
Do you think it's bad?
Do you think the open carry rallies will continue?
