Steve Pieczenik - China part 3 OPUS 7 20 21 Aired: 2021-07-20 Duration: 04:21 [00:00:02] Hi, this is Dr. Pichinik, and today I want to talk about the impending conflict in the South China Sea. [00:00:11] Angela Merkel, one of the great leaders of Western Europe and Chancellor of Germany since 2005, said something very serious and very astute. [00:00:22] She warned the United States and China not to get into a conflict on the South China Sea. [00:00:29] I was concerned about that conflict in 1995 when I wrote the novel Pax Pacifica, and the only person who really understood it at the time was the former DCI, James Lilly, who thought this was a brilliant analysis of what would be an impending war in the China Sea. [00:00:46] The South China Sea is about 1.5 million square miles. [00:00:51] It's bordered by Vietnam on one side, China on the same side. [00:00:57] You have the Philippines. [00:00:58] You have Malaysia. [00:01:00] You have Taiwan. [00:01:02] And about 33 to 35 percent of the world traffic goes through this 1.4 million square miles. [00:01:11] It's an important point of traffic. [00:01:13] It's an important point where there's oil. [00:01:17] And rare minerals underneath on the ocean. [00:01:20] It's believed to be in the billions of tons. [00:01:23] The more important part is the fact that I have warned our country that you cannot go against China in any form right now. [00:01:33] China has grown rapidly. [00:01:35] Xi Jinping comes, as I have explained before, from a background of revolution, chaos, and distortion. [00:01:43] He knows exactly how to manipulate the United States. [00:01:46] He knows exactly what to do with Biden. [00:01:50] The key point here is that Secretary of State Blinken was looking for a potential war and encouraged our vessels to go into the South China Sea and possibly create a conflict with China. [00:02:05] I do warn Secretary of State Blinken, who worked with Susan Rice, and I recall the time When under General Keith Alexander, they ordered the NSA, Susan Rice and Blinken, to monitor the phone calls of American citizens, which at that time was illegal. [00:02:22] So I'm putting Blinken on notice, not only had he committed, in my opinion, treason in the past, he's incompetent, as I've said, and also he's a war hawk who had never served in our administration or in any wars, as did Biden. [00:02:38] Biden created a war in Iraq, We're supporting the war in Afghanistan, has supported the Obama wars in Libya, Somalia, and Sudan. [00:02:48] So I warn this administration to be careful of what you do. [00:02:52] Because if you engage with China, she doesn't play games. [00:02:57] She will defeat many of our boats. [00:02:59] We have an effect A lower number of boats there, but more effective boats. [00:03:05] China has about 200 to 300 small vessels. [00:03:08] They dominate in number, but not in quality, the South China Sea. [00:03:14] We have about 15 to 16 nuclear subs and going up to about 65. [00:03:21] I will not break them down because some of them are ballistic missile subs and intercontinental missiles, but they're very effective. [00:03:29] We have about 11 aircraft carriers and about 200 plus different cruise ships in the South China Sea. [00:03:38] We're very efficient. [00:03:39] Our Navy is very effective. [00:03:41] But more importantly, we do not need to confront China at this point in time. [00:03:47] Number one, China has an economic problem. [00:03:49] Number two, we need to get our economy straight. [00:03:53] We're going into an inflationary spiral. [00:03:55] We're having problems with our growth, effective growth. [00:03:59] And at this point, America does not want to go to war in any way or in the future. [00:04:06] Napoleon Bonaparte once said, let China sleep, but be aware when she awakens. [00:04:12] There's another saying that's important. [00:04:15] The Cold War may have ended, but the Cold War mentality still remains. [00:04:20] I warn you, be careful.
