Steve Pieczenik - OPUS 199 American History Mind Control Aired: 2019-12-18 Duration: 04:40 [00:00:02] Hi, this is Dr. [00:00:03] Pchenik, and today I want to address the issues that the Republican constituents brought up, particularly George Conway, Kellyanne Conway's husband, and a bunch of other Republicans of the Heritage Foundation, which is no more than a geriatric unit for Republicans, who said the following, that Trump is narcissistic, he's dangerous, he doesn't follow the rule of law. [00:00:26] What we should do is glorify the presidency of Lincoln. [00:00:31] And I said, okay, let's learn a little bit of history, George. [00:00:34] Number one, Lincoln was a tyrant. [00:00:36] He clearly created a war against the South because he had economic interest. [00:00:43] He was interested in the waterways. [00:00:44] He was interested in New Orleans. [00:00:46] There was an imposition of a tariff called the Morrill Tariff, M-O-R-R-I-L-L, Which favored Pennsylvania and the northern states and forced the southern states to secede from the Union. [00:00:58] He did not like blacks. [00:01:00] He felt that blacks were inferior. [00:01:01] They had to go back to their homeland. [00:01:03] Even when the blacks were freed, he sent them down to Central America, South America. [00:01:08] And he created a war that was called a civil war. [00:01:11] It was not a civil war. [00:01:13] It was auto-genocide. [00:01:14] As somebody who'd been in Cambodia and took down the Khmer Rouge and Pol Pot and Hansen, I can tell you that the slaughter of 800,000... [00:01:23] Northerners and Southerners was nothing more than a slaughter. [00:01:26] Another million men were wounded and then he created what we call the absence of habeas corpus. [00:01:33] He arrested thousands of reporters and judges. [00:01:37] And this is what George Conway and Republicans want to admire. [00:01:41] So let's go a little bit further. [00:01:42] In turn, Lincoln was an ethnic cleanser. [00:01:46] When he freed the slaves, he said, those slaves that are there, we have to send them back to Latin American Haiti. [00:01:52] General Hunter said, no, I'm going to release and I'm going to save 100,000 slaves, which he did. [00:01:59] He was a northern general. [00:02:00] And in turn, Lincoln rearrested them and made them slaves again. [00:02:05] So what we have is a paradigm of a president who was really ruthless, tyrannical, was bipolar and had Marfan syndrome. [00:02:13] But in turn, hadn't that come out to be one of our leaders? [00:02:15] Well, you can thank Walt Whitman and Captain, my captain. [00:02:19] And you can thank Carl Sandberg, who won a Pulitzer Prize on the autobiography of Lincoln, which was a disaster and a distortion. [00:02:28] What's coming out now is both the Democrats and the Republicans really have no idea of American history. [00:02:34] They make it sound as if we were puritanical, we had a rule of law, and we have nothing but caring about the absolute powers of the presidency. [00:02:43] Well, that's not correct. [00:02:44] Correct. [00:02:45] As I pointed out, Abraham Lincoln was just one in a whole number of presidents who were ruthless. [00:02:51] FDR was ruthless. [00:02:53] He broke the Lend-Lease Agreement. [00:02:55] Bush was ruthless and invaded Noriega when he didn't have to. [00:03:00] Bush Jr. [00:03:02] invaded Iraq and Afghanistan when we didn't have to. [00:03:05] But here we have Trump brought up on the most minor concerns of any presidency, and he doesn't follow the rule of law. [00:03:13] What's important to understand from my point of view is that America has to understand that we have a history of being ruthless, we have a history of being incredibly powerful, and we are a war-making nation. [00:03:29] Beyond the Civil War, where we killed over a million men, We went on to Korea. [00:03:36] We went on to Vietnam. [00:03:37] We went on to Iraq. [00:03:39] We went on to Afghanistan. [00:03:41] Now, I'm not condemning my nation. [00:03:42] I know exactly what it is that we do. [00:03:45] We're a republic. [00:03:46] Once again, let me repeat it. [00:03:47] We are not a democracy. [00:03:49] We are a representational government on all levels of government. [00:03:53] So that means the president is representational of the desire of the people, not of Congress. [00:03:59] Congress is a representational government. [00:04:02] It is not a democratic entity. [00:04:05] These are the words that have to be understood, that we have to accept Trump. [00:04:09] He is narcissistic. [00:04:11] He's self-aggrandizing. [00:04:12] But you know what? [00:04:13] He's going to close the China deal and he's already doing it. [00:04:17] We're going to have peace with North Korea. [00:04:18] He's pulled out troops from the Middle East and he's made an economy that's formidable. [00:04:24] Let me quote George Santana. [00:04:27] If we don't learn our history, we're going to repeat the mistakes of the past. [00:04:31] But let me quote Animal House that says the following about George Conway. [00:04:36] Being fat, short, and stupid is no way to live a life.
