Freedomain Radio - Stefan Molyneux - 2037 Stefan Molyneux Interviewed on Mental Self Defense Radio Aired: 2011-11-19 Duration: 02:27 === Stephane Molyneux: Libertarian Thinker (02:26) === [00:00:00] Before all of that, we're going to have a guy. [00:00:03] A guy that I've wanted to talk to for some time. [00:00:05] I've followed his work. [00:00:07] Stéphane Molyneux. He is a libertarian philosopher, writer, blogger. [00:00:18] Maybe you've seen his YouTube channel. [00:00:21] It is literally one of the most popular channels out there. [00:00:26] What I like about him... [00:00:29] And it's funny because this is kind of what I got involved in over the weekend was talking to some people on Facebook that one of the challenges for libertarians that I find is that libertarians tend to be exceptionally logical thinkers but that can also be a double-edged sword because You know, [00:00:56] what that means is it tends to attract people that are mathematicians, computer programmers, what you might call nerds. [00:01:05] Not all of them, but a great many of them. [00:01:08] And so sometimes communicating persuasively is not, or winning people over to a popular cause, is not one of the strengths. [00:01:16] Clear logical thinking, sure, but persuasion maybe not so much. [00:01:20] And that is what I really like about Stéphane Molyneux. [00:01:25] You can check out his website, freedomainradio.com. [00:01:30] I think that's it. I'll have to double check. [00:01:32] But he's really a sharp thinker. [00:01:36] I don't agree with anybody 100%, but he's really a sharp thinker and raises great arguments and somewhat controversial at times, but he's able to communicate in such an effective manner. [00:01:52] I mean, he really speaks well, but he's not kind of hoity-toity or ivory tower in his approach. [00:02:00] He's just a really interesting guy. [00:02:03] I'm really looking forward to having him on the show here shortly. [00:02:07] Oh, well, without further ado, looks like we've got Mr. Molyneux on the line. [00:02:12] Let's bring him on. [00:02:14] Welcome, Stefan Molyneux, to the show. [00:02:17] How are you? [00:02:19] Thank you so much for the invitation. [00:02:21] Yeah, so I've always... [00:02:22] I've been very impressed... [00:02:25] By your work.
