[00:01:56]  The U.S. government has been patient and explored all diplomatic possibilities, but the enemy leader has dragged his feet and made accommodation impossible.

[00:02:12]  They hate us for our freedoms and our goodness.
[00:02:18]  We have to kill them because they are evil.
[00:02:22]  They want to kill us because we are moral.
[00:02:28]  Our religion versus their superstition.

[00:02:36]  Their religion breeds evil.
[00:02:39]  When my god tells me to go and kill them, that is an expression of faith, piety, and moral resolve.

[00:02:58]  We have not been militarily involved in the region before.
[00:03:02]  We have never killed any of them, or violently interfered in their society.

[00:03:15]  We never viewed them as good or useful before.
[00:03:21]  The Risks of Diplomacy If we continue to strive for peace, our civilization will end.

[00:03:35]  Military Fantasies Due to our superior virtue, resolve, and military might, the war will be quick and cheap.

[00:03:48]  The price of war is far less than the risks of peace.

[00:03:57]  America has been surprised by an unprovoked attack.
[00:04:04]  Pacifists. Those who oppose the war are cowards, oppose the troops, hate the nation, sympathize with the enemy, are evil, corrupt, unpatriotic, etc.

[00:04:22]  A madman intends to enslave the entire world.
[00:04:28]  Time to teach a lesson.
[00:04:31]  The President did everything possible to avoid war, and we are fighting now because an evil dictator doubted our strength, our resolve, and our devotion to freedom.

[00:04:45]  If we don't fight now in a foreign land, someday we'll have to fight in American cities.
[00:04:53]  We aim for virtue.
[00:04:56]  We are going to liberate foreign people from their tyrannical rulers.

[00:05:34]  The enemy isn't just a country whose interests conflict with ours.
[00:05:37]  It is a nation run by inhuman butchers.
[00:05:40]  The enemy commits unspeakable atrocities.
[00:05:47]  During the war, questioning the war is condemning the troops.
[00:05:53]  The time for debate is past.
[00:05:55]  We must all pull together now.
[00:05:58]  You do not change horses in midstream.
[00:06:03]  Too much information will harm morale.
[00:06:08]  Only cynics focus on war profits.
[00:06:13]  Focusing on your loss of liberties is selfish.
[00:06:17]  Think of what the troops are sacrificing.
[00:06:21]  After the war, due to the evil of the enemy, the cost and sacrifice was far greater than first anticipated.
[00:06:31]  It is now counterproductive to review past, quote, mistakes.
[00:06:34]  We all need to get on with our lives.
[00:06:37]  Questioning the war is spitting in the face of the wounded.
[00:06:42]  Our goals were not achieved, but things change.

[00:06:47]  The fog of war is thick.
[00:06:51]  We did not achieve peace, but new institutions will.
