[00:00:03]  This is your host, Brian Dunning, who has recently survived the Skeptoid Adventures trip to Death Valley.
[00:00:10]  50 of you joined me as we went to such places as Badwater Basin, the Devil's Hole, the mysterious sliding stones of Racetrack Playa, mining and petroglyph sites, and much more.
[00:00:24]  We ate military MREs in the desert, survived rattlesnakes, tarantulas, and scorpions.
[00:00:30]  It was an adventure like no other.
[00:00:32]  And, as with all Skeptoid adventures, everyone got their official mission patch in their swag to commemorate the trip.

[00:00:46]  50 Skeptoid listeners strung out across the desert is a large group, and we were fortunate not to lose anyone.

[00:00:56]  There were only a few unclaimed suitcases left over, but no matter.
[00:01:00]  We even had special guest experts along.
[00:01:03]  Longtime author and skeptical inquirer editor-at-large, Ben Radford, was there entertaining all with local legends and cryptids, and even took a group out one night to recreate an alleged alien video.
[00:01:16]  We also had along an astrophysicist to give star talks and star walks.
[00:01:21]  She's one of only 15 people in history to have discovered a circumbinary exoplanet, and you may recognize her name, Erica Dunning.
[00:01:30]  And of course, every Death Valley trip needs a geologist.
[00:01:33]  So we brought along a paleoseismologist and Death Valley historian whose name you might also recognize, Andrew Dunning.
[00:01:41]  And he kept the group entertained and informed at every stop.
[00:01:45]  The trip was such a great success that we've already scheduled the second annual Skeptoid Adventures trip, braving the Bermuda Triangle.
[00:01:55]  This time, we're taking 60 of you out to die.
