Hour two Sean Hannity Show, 800-941-Sean, if you want to be a part of the program.
And I know the president soon out at Fort Bragg is going to be speaking there, but that's a little different speech.
There were some very pointed questions on the issue of the LA debacle of Gavin Newsom out there.
The president made some comments earlier.
He was in the Oval Office about 10 minutes.
I want to play this for you so you can get into the President's mindset about where he stands and why he's being proactive rather than reactive.
And then we'll get to your calls on the other side, 800-941-Sean, as we continue.
Mr. Cruz, what do you think about the Insurrection Act to deal with the situation in California?
If there's an insurrection, I would certainly invoke it.
We'll see.
But I can tell you less.
Last night was terrible.
The night before that was terrible.
We have, as you've seen, it was on most of your networks, people with big heavy hammers pounding the concrete and pounding curbs, pounding it, breaking up, and handing these big chunks of concrete to people.
And they were taking that concrete, going up in bridges and dropping it into the roof of a car.
They were throwing it at our police.
They were throwing it at our soldiers that are there.
And we got it stopped and we have them in custody right now.
Look, if we didn't get involved right now, Los Angeles would be burning just like it was burning a number of months ago with all the houses that were lost.
Los Angeles right now would be on fire.
And we have it in great shape.
We're not playing around.
Will you determine whether or not there is an insurrection?
Well, you take a look at what's happening.
I mean, I could tell you there were certain areas of that, of Los Angeles that you could have called it an insurrection.
It was terrible.
But these are paid insurrectionists.
These are paid troublemakers.
They get money.
And when you take a look at what they are, where they show up and everyone's saying, what's he doing?
He's pounding the curbs.
This one guy's pounding the curb, breaking the curb, and handing big pieces of granite.
In some cases, it's granite, granite and concrete to other people.
And they're running out with it.
And then we watch the other people, and they try and throw it into the face of the soldiers, throw it into the face of the police, and they hurt some people very badly.
They go up on bridges, they drop it down on the cars as the cars are moving.
They're not breaking the curb because they're doing a demolition service.
They're breaking it to hand out to people as a weapon.
That's bad stuff.
I've never seen that before.
Mr. President, how soon do you want to see FEMA eliminated?
And what's your message to the governors about how much more of an expense is going to fall to states?
Yeah, well, it's not going to be so much the states.
We're going to give out less money.
We're going to give it out directly.
It'll be from the president's office.
We'll have somebody here.
Could be Homeland Security, but we're going to give it out through a method where it's given out.
As an example, I just gave out $71 million to a certain state.
They were looking to do about $120 million.
They were very happy with the $71 million.
We did a little cutting, and they were very happy with it.
So we're going to do it much differently.
We think after this, Christy, I'd say after the hurricane season, we'll have to go to the next step.
Yes, sir.
If we set up a FEMA council over the next couple of months, we'll be working on reforms and what FEMA will look like in the future as a different agency, as under the Department of Homeland Security, to the President's vision.
And it will empower governors to go out and respond to emergency situations.
And that what the president does best is to make sure that the taxpayers are only fulfilling the need to which is appropriate and that people are responsible to respond to their own people closest to home.
If a certain state, as an example, gets hit by a hurricane or tornado, that's what a governor, you know, a governor should be able to handle it.
And frankly, if they can handle it, the aftermath, then maybe they shouldn't be governor.
Mr. President, when is the last time you spoke of Governor Newsom?
Called him up to tell him, got to do a better job.
He's doing a bad job, causing a lot of death and a lot of potential death.
If we didn't send out the National Guard, and last time we gave a little additional help, you would have Los Angeles would be burning right now.
Los Angeles would be not a lot different than what you saw take place in California and Los Angeles just a little while ago.
And, you know, you've got to remember we have the Olympics coming, and we don't want people looking at Los Angeles like it was, like it would have been.
It would have been bad.
Last night they had total control.
We didn't have the military in there, the National Guard, and then we also sent in some Marines.
We had some bad people.
We have people they look in your face and they spit right in your face.
They're animals.
And these are paid insurrectionists.
These are paid troublemakers.
They're agitators.
They're paid.
Do you think somebody walks up to a curb and starts hammering pieces out, has all the equipment necessary, and starts handing it out to people to use as a weapon?
These are paid insurrectionists or agitators or troublemakers.
You can call it whatever you want.
And we ended it, and we have in custody some very bad people.
Some very bad people.
Mr. President, did you see the guy throwing the rocks at the police cars as they went by and crushing their windows and endangering our police?
We're not going to let that happen, you know?
Pardon me.
Mr. President, on those Marines, Governor Newsom has described them as political pawns.
I'm curious for your reaction to that and what you see as the Marines' role and what are their rules of engagement.
All I want is safety.
I just want a safe area.
Los Angeles was under siege until we got there.
The police were unable to handle it.
You can speak to the chief.
He said it on television three nights ago.
He said, this is more than we can handle.
They said that.
And the LA police, I know a lot of the police in LA, they're great people, but they're given instructions not to do this, not to do that.
But in this case, they were trying their best.
They were not able to handle it.
It was out of control.
When we got there, and you have to remember, I've been here before, and I went right by every rule.
And I waited for governors to say, send in the National Guard.
They wouldn't do it.
They wouldn't do it.
And they just wouldn't do it.
It kept going on and on, got worse and worse.
And in Minneapolis, that city was burning down.
It was seven days, and I said, I don't care.
The governor, who's a governor that just happened to be running for vice president, the total, you talk about an incompetent governor, he's an incompetent person, that he was picked.
Well, I was actually very happy he was picked for other reasons.
But this guy wouldn't call the National Guard.
And we ultimately just sent in the National Guard.
We stopped it.
But that was after seven days.
And I said to myself, if that stuff happens again, we've got to make faster decisions because they don't want to do it.
The radical left, it's usually radical left, and it's usually governors that are Democrat, and they don't want to call them in.
They don't want to save lives.
They don't want to save property.
They don't want to call them in.
I don't know what it is.
We sent them in, not early.
We sent them in late as far as I'm concerned.
But big problems, as you know, three nights ago, big problems were ensuing.
If we didn't send in the National Guard quickly, right now, Los Angeles would be burning to the ground.
The Marines is, a lot of people think an escalatory step, though.
These are guys who fight wars.
Are you at all concerned that things could get out of hand with Marines?
When I see people throwing concrete into cars, when I see people, the kind of people that I saw on your network, doing danger to the police and to the military and to the National Guard, no, it's okay.
You know, you start running out of people when you have 2,000 people from a National Guard standpoint.
We have a very big military.
But the National Guard, they needed a little extra help.
And we sent them a little, and we did a great job last night.
We had, well, you got a lot of cars go up in smoke and flame and a lot of bad scenes.
But it was pretty minor by comparison.
This morning it's very calm.
We'll see what happens later.
But they know if they go there, they're not going to get anywhere because we have the National Guard.
We backed it up with a number of Marines.
Mr. President, these protests obviously started in reaction to these large-scale ICE operations in Los Angeles.
Should people expect to see similar operations in the rest of the country?
Well, the simple protests see similar responses.
As you know, we're moving murderers out of our country that were put here by Biden or the Autopen.
The Autopen really did.
I mean, the people, whether it's Lisa Monaco or whoever operated the Autopen, these are criminals.
The people are criminals that allowed these criminals into our country.
And I don't think that Biden knew what the hell he was doing.
I don't think he even knew about it.
But when they opened up our borders for the whole world to come in, yeah, we're going to get them out.
We're getting them out.
We're starting to get acknowledgement from the courts that, you know, there's a system.
They come in without courts and they go out.
They want trials and everything else.
I think that's starting to work out now.
Judges are starting to see what a terrible situation it is.
Many of those people that you saw on television last night are criminals that were allowed into our country by Biden.
And they want to stay.
And we don't want them.
And they come from jails and they come from mental institutions and they come from all over the world, not just South America.
And we're not going to let them stay.
And this is the first, perhaps, of many, or perhaps, you know, if we didn't attack this one very strongly, you'd have them all over the country.
I can inform the rest of the country that when they do it, if they do it, they're going to be met with equal or greater force than we met right here.
We did a great job.
The people, you, Christy, and Tom Holman, and all of the people, Pete Hankset, all of the people involved did an amazing job.
We stopped a disaster.
And it looks like a planned disaster.
Not just, this didn't just happen.
They had weapons, they had tools, they had everything you needed.
I mean, they were throwing iced water in bottles, in glass bottles, at officers and at soldiers.
These are, you could not use the word insurrection, but you could also use the word, these are very dangerous people.
They're bad people.
They were met with heavy force and they folded.
And they may be there a little bit tonight.
They may be there a little bit, but it seems to be getting less and less because they're going there and they're met with a very heavy force.
And if they weren't, you would have that city right now would be on fire.
It would be burning down the rest of it, what's left over.
Because the other fire was started because they wouldn't allow water into LA.
They wouldn't allow water into California because they had it all shifted out to the Pacific Ocean.
And I turned it around.
And I told them to do it in my first term, and they didn't do it.
We had COVID, and they didn't do it.
And I told them to do it.
We did it in the second.
Now we have billions of gallons of water flowing down.
But Newsom should have done this.
He's an incompetent man, an incompetent governor.
Okay, any other questions?
Mr. President, any message to adversaries as the Army kicks off 250 year birthday celebration?
I just think it's amazing.
We're going to have a fantastic June 14th parade, flag day.
It's going to be an amazing day.
We have tanks, we have planes, we have all sorts of things.
And I think it's going to be great.
We're going to celebrate our country for a change.
You know, recently, as you know, with World War II, the victory of World War II, I called up France and they were celebrating the victory.
Well, we helped them a lot, as you know.
I don't have to get into that.
But I called up other countries.
They were all celebrating the victory.
We're the only country that didn't celebrate the victory.
And we're the one that won the war.
Okay, if it wasn't for us, that war, you would be speaking German right now, okay?
We won the war, and you might be speaking Japanese too.
I mean, you might be speaking a combination of both.
We won the war, and we're the only country that didn't celebrate it.
And we're going to be celebrating big on Saturday.
We're going to have a lot of, and if there's any protest that wants to come out, they will be met with very big force.
By the way, for those people that want to protest, they're going to be met with very big force.
And I haven't even heard about a protest, but, you know, this is people that hate our country, but they will be met with very heavy force.
Thank you very much, everybody.
Thank you.
All right, we'll take a quick break.
We'll come back on the other side.
We'll get to your calls straight ahead.

What I told people, I was making a podcast about Benghazi.
Nine times out of ten, they called me a masochist, rolled their eyes, or just asked, why?
Benghazi, the truth became a web of lies.
It's almost a dirty word.
One that connotes conspiracy theory.
Will we ever get the truth about the Benghazi massacre?
Bad faith, political warfare, and, frankly, bullshit.
We kill the ambassador just to cover something up.
You put two and two together.
Was it an overblown distraction or a sinister conspiracy?
Benghazi is a Rosetta Stone for everything that's been going on for the last 20 years.
I'm Leon Nayfak from Prologue Projects and Pushkin Industries.

And yeah, I think we'll be talking about Gavin and Kamala and Joe, you know, the topics that late night comedians and other comedians dare not touch.
It will be irreverent.
It will be politically incorrect.
It will tell a lot of truth and it will be funny.
And we'll celebrate freedom and fun and patriotism all at the same time.

You know, the most amazing thing is denial.
The denial of the left in this country and the denial of the reality.
I want to educate these liberals and also the feigned selective, you know, moral indignation and outrage.
You know, the people that were so fixated on one riot, January 6th, and in 2021 are the same people that elected a woman as vice president who, after 574 riots and two dozen dead Americans and billions in property damage, and thousands of cops injured, telted with bricks, rocks, bottles, and Molotov cocktails, said they're not going to stop writing.
They shouldn't stop writing.
We're not going to stop supporting them.
I mean, they're such hypocrites, and to watch this hypocrisy on display is unbelievable.
Now, California being a sanctuary state, Los Angeles being a sanctuary city, means normal policing conditions do not exist.
Let me educate these idiotic liberals.
And we have been telling you about this.
State and local police are prohibited in a sanctuary city and state from even inquiring about an individual's immigration status during the routine course of their work.
Okay, that prevents them from doing their job.
State and local officers are forbidden from holding illegal immigrants until they can be transferred into federal custody.
In other words, they are working against ICE.
And frankly, I believe it's unconstitutional because if you look at who has jurisdiction, the supremacy clause of our Constitution is very clear.
And federal agencies are prohibited from commandeering local authorities to work with immigration agencies and perform the work of immigration efforts.
Well, okay, so if they won't help you, then there really is no choice unless you want the violence to continue.
One of the biggest problems we have is the outright denial.
Here's Maxime Waters, for example, claiming that there is no violence.
And we've been watching it now for days unfold, and now it's spreading like a cancer to other parts of the country, including Dallas and San Francisco and other cities around the country, as we told you earlier.
Here's Maxime Waters.
And even those who were out of step with what we are advocating, peaceful protest, did not create any violence.
Nobody was shot.
Nobody was killed.
Get it in your head.
And so when martial law is called, what are you going to say?
I missed the point.
Don't miss the point, you all.
Don't think that somehow, because they called out the National Guard, there was violence.
There was no violence.
I was on the street.
I know.
And I went from downtown detention back out into the community talking to people.
What happened in Paramount?
What happened in Compton?
What happened in Englewood?
So, first of all, get it straight and don't just rely on what you're being told or the few incidents that you saw.
The few incidents that you saw.
You know, as I said earlier in the program today, they literally were handing out frozen water bottles.
Why were they handing out frozen water bottles to pelt police officers with, which can cause great harm and great injury?
Molotov cocktails.
They're also hitting them with fireworks.
They also had pre-positioned things like baseball bats, as we reported last night on Hannity on the Fox News channel.
All of this is designed to protest.
Now, we'll get to the bottom of who might be behind this or the organizations that will be behind this and maybe some funding that goes along with this.
That's all going to be a matter of course.
But now the president has two options here to let the madness in the sanctuary state of California continue as Gavin is out there fighting me on X and going on MS DNC and every other legacy left-wing media outlet he can find instead of dealing with the problem.
I mean, this is probably, if you were to grade this, it's probably worse than his handling of the Pacific Palisade, you know, where hydrants had no water and reservoirs we find out are empty.
And meanwhile, these wildfires are as predictable as the day is long.
And Santa Anna wins also as predictable as the day is long.
I lived out in the 80s for five years in Santa Barbara.
Everybody knows it's going to happen.
And they've done nothing, no preparation, and they reject the science of forestry.
But, you know, if you can get worse than that, Gavin's now doing a good job topping that as we've been chronicling.
Anyway, here with reaction to this, Deputy Assistant to the President and the Principal Deputy Communications Director, Alex Pfeiffer, is with us.
Alex, how are you, my friend?
I'm doing great, Sean.
Thanks for having me on.
Those comments from Maxine Waters, I just wanted to address them if you give me a chance here.
She says there's no violence that happened, which I don't understand how she thinks that.
They looted an Adidas store, a CVS, all these local businesses.
They threw glass bottles at police officers last night.
This is all stuff that happened last night.
I'm not even talking about the weekend.
And I don't understand the Adidas store looting.
I don't know if they think ICE officers like to wear Adidas sneakers.
But the important thing that I remember when you played that clip is who Maxine Waters was after the Rodney King riots, which destroyed swaths of Los Angeles, left people dead.
At the time, Maxine Waters said they were understandable and acceptable.
So that's who Maxine Waters is.
Well, I can go back and I'll pull up this clip of Maxine Waters.
You might remember when Donald Trump was president the last time.
She was the person telling them, you know, give them no peace and get in their face and follow them into stores.
And here's what she said back in the day.
You see anybody from that cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a gold and you put back on them.
And you drug them, then I woke up.
That was like a threat against the president's life to me.
She's despicable.
And, you know, her comments reflect sort of the state of California politics.
Karen Bass, the mayor there, she called Fidel Castro Comandante when he died and visited Cuba a bunch in the 70s.
And so this is the thing you were talking about in your intro, the dealing with sanctuary cities and what's at the core of the problem here.
So what happened, what set off these riots and the need for the National Guard of employees on Friday, ICE was doing an operation.
And it's not just that the LAPD didn't help turn over an illegal immigrant rights or sanctuary status.
Let's describe the operation.
You mean the operation that nabbed murderers, the operation that nabbed sexual predators, that one?
Yes.
Killers, child molesters, verified gang members steal domestic violence convictions.
That's who the rioters are standing up for.
And they called in for LAPD help.
And the LAPD didn't come over for over two hours.
Didn't come to help.
And that's what festered the problem.
And that's why, Sean, we need the Big Beautiful Bill.
It's going to increase ICE by 10,000 personnel.
They currently have about 20,000.
So this increases ICE by 50%.
We can't depend on cities like Los Angeles to help us when it comes to immigration enforcement.
And that's how we needed to up the funding for ICE so we can actually fulfill the mass deportation pledge.
Not only did they not show up, but even if they did show up, I just read through the prohibitions and the handcuffs that they put on law enforcement in California.
And yesterday on this program, we played the L.A. police chief saying, we are overwhelmed and describing that they are under fire and desperately needing help.
But Gavin doesn't care.
He's too busy fighting me on X and too busy doing his interviews and too busy attacking Donald Trump to actually get out there and calm the waters.
He wants to use this as a political opportunity to make himself look good.
I don't understand what Gavin thinks he gets out of this because for the past few months, he's been pretending he's some sort of moderate, right?
And now he's exposed to the nation who he really is, which is someone who sides with illegal immigrant criminals.
Again, the people who ICE has arrested in L.A. in the past seven days include a convicted child molester, a convicted murderer, someone who was convicted for manslaughter.
So these are some of the worst of the worst that ICE has picked up.
And this is who Gavin, Karen Bass, and Maxine Waters is choosing to side with.
And fortunately, President Trump is resolute and his determination to liberate American neighborhoods from illegal immigrant crime.
And ICE is not the turn.
ICE right now in L.A. is still out there arresting legal immigrants.
Let me, while I have you, if you don't mind, change topics a little bit here.
And I've interviewed a number of senators, and they're looking to try and cut more money out of this one big, beautiful bill.
And the president has given them permission to do so.
Is this still on track in your view to get us to the 4th of July?
The big, beautiful bill is on track for passage and signed this summer.
You know, as for the date, we'll see.
But it's on track.
We're confident all the president's tax priorities will remain in the bill.
This is the largest working and middle-class tax cut in history.
If you're listening to the show right now and you make between $30,000 and $80,000, you're going to see a 15% tax cut.
Okay, that's huge.
It has no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, splashes taxes for seniors on Social Security.
So all those tax priorities will remain in the bill.
We're confident our border priorities will remain in the bill, finishing the border wall, funding increased ICE deportations.
And another key thing that doesn't get much attention is obviously we've seen all the news about air traffic control being outdated, still using floppy disks and whatnot.
This bill includes $12.5 billion to modernize air traffic control.
We're confident that'll stay in.
Now, as for any tweaks here and there in the Senate, you know, they'll do what they'll do.
But, you know, we're confident that the key priorities will remain this legislation, and it's on track for passage.
All right.
We appreciate you being with us.
The deputy assistant to the president and principal deputy communications director Alex Pfeiffer.
Thank you, Alex.
Great to hear your voice.
Yep.
