This is an iHeart Podcast.
All right.
Thank you, Scott Shannon, and thanks to all of you for being with us.
I'm I'm just sitting here chuckling to myself, you know, angry Chucky Schumer.
Donald Trump has aroused the American people.
They've never been this aroused.
I'm like, what is he talking about?
He's just angry, bitter, just like the state-run legacy media mob.
They have it is spectacularly ignorant, stunning, and beyond incomprehensible and even stupid.
That Donald Trump has been on the on the national political scene as long as he has, and that they have no understanding of Donald Trump.
They don't understand that when Donald Trump says tariffs, that Donald Trump has that is the beginning of negotiations as evidenced as what happened with Mexico today, as they have caved.
And what we saw over the weekend, Secretary of State, Marco Rubio meeting with the leader of Panama and Panama caving.
They're kicking China out and bringing America back in.
Just like Colombia was going to fight us on not taking back their illegals.
They caved.
Just like Venezuela released hostages this weekend, and they caved and they agreed to send the airplanes to pick up their illegal immigrants in our country, including members of the violent Trend de Aragua gang.
Canada's panicking, but you know, it's only a matter of time.
I predict they will cave too.
And we, you know, look at this weekend.
We had hostages released.
We had we we we had Mexic Mexico caving, Panama caving.
We have, you know, uh Greenland now is in play for the U.S. Oh, yeah, we'd love more U.S. involvement, Danish leaders are saying.
I'm like laughing at that.
They're caving too.
Um hostages are home.
Donald Trump got no credit for that.
Uh uh, how many people know that Donald Trump took out ISIS terrorists in Somalia this weekend?
It's getting next to no coverage and and just wiped him out, and the media is trying to ignore that.
The FBI, the deep state, is getting cleaned out.
Why is that important?
Because what I've been saying forever is that what used to be the world's premier law enforcement agency needs to be cleaned out.
The weaponization needs to end.
The, you know, politicizing the FBI, our intelligence community needs to end.
And the same at the DOJ.
That also happening.
People being walked to the door, say giving their papers and saying goodbye.
You're done.
And it's it's it's just fun to watch.
The president, you know, going full steam ahead on doge and cutting back on government.
I mean, we have about what 53, you know, billion dollars they've identified to save already.
The FBI, you know, purge is uh underway, and that is people that have been loyal to the likes of Comey and Director Ray that will be there to sabotage Donald Trump.
He can't have them in the FBI.
He can't have them in the Department of Justice.
You know, the president of bureaucracy is being slashed, DEI programs are ending.
U.S. aid funding has been canceled.
WHO funding has been canceled.
You know, it's funny to see the head of the WHOs or any way you think will be able to change Donald Trump's mind.
I don't think so.
You can waste all the time, effort, and energy you want, but I don't think it's going to work out well.
You know, just like we left the Paris Accords.
I'd like to see us leave the WEF and frankly the United Nations, but that's just me.
You have gender ideology has been eliminated.
You have these former Intel officials like Brennan and Clapper and others that knew nothing about Hunter Biden's laptop except in the weeks leading up to the 2020 election, wanted to give Joe Biden a talking point before their final debate.
They've all lost their security clearance.
You see, border crossings have dropped by a whopping 93%.
You see, water from Northern California now.
Oh, all of a sudden making their way down to Southern California.
Reservoirs are filling up.
And I'm only beginning to touch the surface of what's happened.
What has become the biggest challenge on this radio program and on my TV show is getting out all of the news to everybody?
But, you know, it's a big deal.
You know, as President Trump has been saying, Panama violated their agreement.
We didn't give the Panama Canal to China to have control with.
And they went into deals with China, and now they're about to get out of those deals.
And now America deserves, after all of its contributions, we should never have given up the Panama Canal to begin with.
You know, air strikes on ISIS.
How many of you even know that ISIS leaders were attacked and killed this weekend without any civilian casualties in Somalia?
I bet you zero.
We have Elon Musk.
I'll get into this in some detail, ripping the fraudulent treasury handouts as they they got a chance to look at the federal payment system when you find out that not a single payment was ever stopped.
I mean, that's like an open checkbook for fraud, waste, fraud, and abuse.
This is insane.
Anyway, so Panama pledged to end a key canal deal with China, and instead, they will now work with the United States.
They had ceded control over their critical shipping canal to Beijing.
And by the way, they were charging us more than other countries on top of everything else.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio, you know, embarked on that mission, did a phenomenal job.
Good for him.
Panama pledging to end this deal.
And the State Department estimate has it around 72% of all vessels that travel through Panama and the Panama Canal are coming, you know, from or going to a U.S. port.
We need to be in control of that.
That matters.
Now, it may not sound like a lot, but um uh how many people even knowed uh knew that six Americans were freed from captivity in Venezuela?
The government of Nicholas Maduro freed these people after receiving pressure from the Trump administration.
Donald Trump spent uh sent his special envoy, our friend Rick Rennell, to negotiate their release earlier this week.
Grinnell posted a video on social media of him greeting the Americans after their release.
Hello, I'm an American diplomat sent by President Trump, and I'm here to bring you home.
And then having Maduro, why do you think Maduro is all of a sudden agreeing to take back all the illegal Venezuelan trendy Aragua and everyone else illegal immigrants that have come in the country?
And Trump got very strong as the negotiations with Panama were moving forward.
He said he warned we're gonna take the back the Panama Canal, or something very powerful is gonna happen.
So it was either take the deal or they will be held to pay.
That's pretty much what it was.
Because we're not letting China have control of it.
And China didn't build it.
China it took American ingenuity, American, you know, American genius to help build this.
And China didn't lift a finger.
They have no we didn't make a deal with China.
They shouldn't have anything to say with it.
Anyway, the airstrikes in Somalia destroyed the caves that the terrorists were living in, did not in any way harm civilians.
Our U military has targeted this ISIS attack.
Uh, but Biden and his cronies, you know, this plan has been in place for years.
They wouldn't act quickly enough to get the job done.
I did.
The message to ISIS and all the others who would attack America is we will find you and we will kill you.
That's a pretty strong message.
And ISIS under Harris and Biden have been able to, you know, begin to re-establish some power and control in areas around the world.
Let me go back to the issue of Denmark.
Their prime minister is welcoming the U.S. role in Greenland after Donald Trump basically has said invited Greenland to be part of the United States.
The U.S. is absolutely our closest ally, said Denmark, and they're open to more collaboration in the North Atlantic region.
We have a clear interest that it's the U.S. that plays a large role in That region, and not, for example, Russia.
But he did reiterate that Greenland is not for sale.
Well, we could have a joint partnership.
This is a negotiation also.
On top of, you know, we we better start paying attention to China.
I'm talking to people that I know that are in the national security arena, they're scaring the hell out of me about China.
China's constructing a doomsday command center ten times larger than the Pentagon.
They've got nearly a 300 ship Navy.
They continue to build out their hypersonic missile technology now with maneuverability.
And America has a gap of vulnerability.
And it's going to take America ingenuity, brilliance, dominance in the AI sector if we're going to build out that next generation of weaponry.
I think the most interesting analysis I have from the weekend is...
You know, President Trump digging in his heels after imposing these these duties on goods from Mexico, Canada, and China.
And the reaction of the Democratic Party and the media mob was predictable.
Well, the tariffs that were went into place today ended very quickly after a phone call with President Trump and the Mexican president, uh Claudia uh China Baum.
And anyway, the it was simple.
The U.S. Scheinbaum, sorry.
Anyway, but they we're asking Mexico to end the flow of fentanyl and other drugs that are killing Americans from streaming into the U.S. from the southern border.
We're demanding Mexico live up to their promises to stop illegal immigration.
We're demanding that Mexico stop providing safe haven for cartels to manufacture and transport fentanyl and other dangerous narc narcotics that are killing Americans into this country.
The Mexican government must end their alliance with drug trafficking cartels in the country.
And by the way, Donald Trump in no way is wrong on any of this.
As far as Canada, he's demanding more of the same.
That they must end the flow of fentanyl and other drugs from streaming into the country, live up to their promises to stop illegal immigration, stop providing safe haven for cartels to manufacture, transport dangerous narcotics, as they have been doing.
And President Trump was very clear.
Canada's been very abusive of the United States for many years.
They don't allow our banks.
You know, Canada doesn't allow American banks to go in and do business.
Pretty amazing.
Canada's been tough for oil and energy.
They don't allow our farm products in, essentially.
They don't allow a lot of things in.
So they basically have had tariffs on us, and we have done nothing to fight back.
And I noticed that there was a Canadian U American hockey game, and Canadian hockey fans booed the national anthem.
I'm fine with that.
I don't have any problem with that.
Because as soon as they realize that this is going to hurt them.
Now, if you look at the amount of money that the U.S. spends, you know, on what we do for Canada, Canada is the better beneficiary of so much from the United States.
If you remember back in 2014 in Crimea, Donald Trump becomes president in 2017, and he demands that every NATO country pay two percent of GDP on defense.
There's a report, October 2024, NATO has a Canada problem.
The Canadian government is one of the few NATO allies that fails to meet that 2% defense expenditure threshold.
Canada's more than capable of meeting their obligations.
You know, uh Canada, according to Reuters, would have would have to double defense spending by by 2032 to 2033 to meet a NATO target.
On top of that, we import 53 billion dollars more in goods and services from Canada every year than we export to them.
We have a massive trade deficit.
Canada, before Donald Trump lifted a finger, charges tariffs on imports of U.S. dairy, poultry products.
Canadian regulations prevent U.S. seeds from being imported.
The U.S. provides $7.4 million per year in foreign assistance to Canada.
Why are we giving them a penny?
We contributed in 2022 $32 million in foreign assistance.
I mean, their contributions to NATO, they represent 6.7% of NATO's budget.
We pay 16% of NATO's budget.
Canada's not secured their border.
If you look at the border sector in the the northern part of our country, they reported they apprehended 20,000 illegals from 97 different countries last year alone.
That's higher than the prior 17 years combined, which is unheard of.
And if they want to fight with the U.S., then let's have a fight.
Because they're going to lose in the end.
Just like Colombia came to that realization, Mexico came to that realization.
And now the Danish should come into that realization.
And I am Panama's coming to that realization.
And I imagine that the same thing will happen.
You know, look at U.S. aid, for example.
Why are we spending $22.58 billion for fiscal year 25 and 24 Biden spent 44.2 billion for USA?
Why are we giving money to USAID, the WHO, the Paris Accords, the WEF?
Why are we spending so much money on the UN?
Let's let China be in charge of all of it.
WHO is nothing but a propaganda wing for China anyway.
Bye.
Hey there.
I'm Mary Catherine Hamm.
And I'm Carol Markowitz.
We've been in political media for a long time.
Long enough to know that it's gotten, well, a little insane.
That's why we started normally a podcast for people who are over the hysteria and just want clarity.
We talk about the issues that actually matter to the country without panic, without yelling, and with a healthy dose of humor.
We don't take ourselves too seriously, but we do take the truth seriously.
So if you're into common sense, sanity, and some occasional SAS.
You're our kind of people.
Catch new episodes of Normally every Tuesday and Thursday on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen.
I, you know, it it's very interesting to just watch how people react, you know, when Donald Trump speaks and and the lack of understanding.
I watched all weekend.
You know, you watch these, you know, politicians, the Chuck Schumers of the World.
We'll play him later.
You know, this is gonna cost you, you know, it's gonna cost more for avocados.
And it's it's gonna cost more for this.
And I'm listening to him and I'm like, are you really that stupid?
Are you really you know, you have you have you just been so focused on your hatred of Donald Trump that you you can't see the forest through the tree trees?
Have you not learned a thing?
That's what I was thinking the most as I was watching.
I'm like, have you not learned anything watching Donald Trump?
I I've known this man for 30 years.
Everything is a negotiation.
And Canada, if they don't want to follow, if if Canada wants to continue to have the benefits of not having free and fair trade with the U.S., and if they were that I'm sure they want their $53 billion trade, you know, surplus that they have, and we have a trade deficit.
I I'm sure they have no problem, they're the ones charging tariffs on U.S. imports of dairy and poultry.
They're their regulations prevent U.S. seeds from being imported.
They're the ones that get foreign millions in foreign assistance from us, you know, in in 2022, the U.S. contributed 32 million in foreign assistance.
The other ones that are not controlling their borders, you know, as we pointed out, 20,000 illegals from 97 different countries in fiscal year 2024.
It's not good for their country that that these people are there illegally, and it's not good for our country.
That that number is hot higher than the prior uh 17 years combined.
It's unheard of.
And until these tariffs are removed, we don't know what happened in the conversation yet with little Justin.
But the president did uh put on uh Truth Social earlier today that he did speak with the president of Mexico.
It was a friendly conversation.
She agreed to immediately supply 10,000 Mexican soldiers on the border, separating Mexico and the U.S. These soldiers will be specifically designated to stop the flow of fentanyl and illegal immigrants into our country.
We further agreed to immediately pause the anticipated tariffs for a one month period during which we will have negotiations, headed by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, uh Secretary of the Treasury Scott Basent, and also Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnik and high level representatives from Mexico.
I look forward to participating in those, you know, so we can attempt to achieve a deal between our two countries.
Okay.
And then the president also, you know, said no to U.S. aid spending.
I'm like, good.
Why are we spending what why did Joe Biden spend last year 44.2 billion dollars?
You know, the purpose they say is to deliver civilian foreign aid and development assistance.
You know, why why we have a 40 trillion dollar deficit?
Why are we spending 44 billion point two billion dollars last year in fiscal year 23 was 50.09 billion.
You know, the agency, U.S. aid has had numerous and at numerous times been accused of allowing their bidding process to be influenced by political and financial interest.
They've been accused of trying to influence politics around the world.
Brazil's largest newspaper accused U.S. aid of trying to influence the political reform in Brazil to benefit, quote, right wing parties.
The Bush administration was accused of using U.S. aid to fund efforts in Bolivia to undermine Morales' government and co-opt the country's dynamic social movements.
You know, you go back over the years, Venezuela, Cuba, Ecuador, Bolivia, and Nicaragua, you know, and and so many other countries called for U.S. aid to be expelled from their countries.
That was back in 2012.
You know, in the 1990s, USAID is a group that implicated the forced sterilization of approximately 300,000 indigenous women in Peru as part of money's launch there.
more.
The New York Post reported U.S. aid gave nearly a million dollars to Gaza, a charity there tied to Hamas six days before the October 7th attack.
The Biden administration repeatedly used U.S. aid to push a push abortion, according to Fox News.com on Africa.
Why are we spending billions of dollars like this?
We've got to re think all that we do.
And that's what Donald Trump is doing.
That's why you keep hearing me use the word transformational.
Look at the Panama Canal.
You know, it took American ingenuity.
It took American, you know, engineering and planners to make this happen.
We lost thousands of people in the effort, and laborers from other countries, tens of thousands of people.
Anyway, it opens up traffic.
The U.S. begins administering the Panama Canal zone.
And this is 1914.
And if you want the history of it, which is part of the U.S., run by a governor appointed by the U.S., by the way, John McCain, you may not know this, was born in the Panama Canal zone, and reason that he was a naturalized citizen because he was born on what was then U.S. soil.
We owned it.
We built it, we owned it, we designed it.
It was ours.
And it and it changed the world for the better.
Then Jimmy Carter, for whatever insane reason, negotiated this ridiculous treaty to return the canal to Panama over the course of 20 years.
And by the way, Panama, we gave Panama $74 million in foreign aid, and now Panama is involved in allowing China to have all this sphere of influence over it.
It's insane.
The FBI agents.
Now, how can Donald Trump return the FBI to the world's premier law enforcement agency if the same people that weaponized it and politicized it against him are still there?
Because the people that went after Donald Trump were all part of it.
The people that never enforced our border laws of the FBI were all part of it.
The people that were going after, you know, moms and dads like Linda that show up at school board meetings because they don't like woke policies or have disagreements with the educational curriculum, Shouldn't have been targeted while Joe Biden was allowing known terrorists, murderers, rapists, cartel members, gang members into our country.
They should have been enforcing the law.
They failed.
And anyway, so so many of these people, the leaders, were escorted out of their office.
And apparently there was one senior FBI official forcefully resisting the Trump administration firings.
Okay, well, then your job is gonna end.
Miranda Devine had a good column today.
You know, if you listen to the likes of Jamie Raskin and all these other bureaucrats whine about due process, well, did they give Donald Trump due process?
Did they give anyone around Donald Trump due process?
The FBI was warned not to use the Hillary Clinton bought and paid for dirty Russian disinformation dossier to spy on Trump and Carter Page, but they used it anyway.
The same FBI that gave Hillary Clinton a pass, no reasonable prosecutor would prosecute top secret classified information, but then that same FBI raided Mar-a-Lago and goes, you know, through Melania Trump's personal items and Baron Trump's personal items.
I mean, this is insane.
They they rummaging through what?
His wife's underwear drawer?
Are you are you kidding me?
And Joe Biden as top secret classified information in four separate locations, no raid there either.
And John Brennan, you know, hyperventilating.
Well, not one of the 51 former Intel officials knew a thing about Hunter Biden's laptop.
Not one of them.
And if they're afraid of anything, well, they shouldn't be afraid of a thing.
What they should want is that America go back to its original purpose and bring the FBI back to its original purpose.
We have real enemies in this country.
Now we have another, you know, bit of news.
Elon Musk, you know, apparently was able to, with Donald Trump's permission, you know, get into the treasury payment information and reports that circulated.
The Department of Government Efficiency gained access to the federal government's payment system.
And the most amazing thing is the Doge team discovered, among other things, that payment approval officers at our Treasury department were instructed to always approve payments, even to known fraudulent or terrorist groups, apparently.
They literally never denied a single payment or career, not even once.
Musk posted early Saturday morning.
I read this.
I'm like, you got to be kidding me.
There was no checks and balances at all.
Anyway, we're going to find billions and billions of dollars.
You know, we throw out these billions and trillions of millions, and it kind of gets lost.
Forty trillion dollars in debt.
That's we're putting that on our kids and grandkids.
You know, it's time to literally turn over every penny, every nickel this government spends, and spend it efficiently.
And that's why we've got to also bring in more money.
And the way you bring in more money, and we'll have Doug Bergam on the Interior Secretary, you know, to talk about how quickly we can actually become energy dominant.
And, you know, why are we paying money to all these globalist organizations that often show nothing but hostility towards our country?
You think you think the Paris Accords was a good deal for America?
It was not a good deal for America.
So there's so much happening at breakneck speed.
On top of there was a 2011 uh GO government accountability office study.
It found that nearly three million criminal offenses were committed by illegal aliens in this country.
This is the amazing thing.
You watch Selena Gomez, you watch the media, they're having a fit that Donald Trump is fulfilling his campaign promise.
He's deporting all these people that didn't respect our laws, our borders, our sovereignty.
They never shed a tear about any of the Americans murdered, raped, victims of violent crime.
Not one time.
The White House announced the arrival of the forces deployed to Gitmo to assist in expanding that prison for the housing of these illegal immigrants, which is what we should do.
I mean, might as well.
It is a pretty big big deal that Venezuela agreed to take back their illegal immigrants, including members of the Trende Aragua gang.
The Sanctuary State of New York.
Guess what?
My old state, overwhelmingly, the people support deporting criminal, illegal immigrants.
Until they were told it was Trump's idea.
You can't make this up.
New York Post, 79% of New York voters statewide told Siena College polsters that they back kicking out undocumented workers who've been convicted of a crime.
With the with that figure including 69% of Democrats, 71% of Hispanic Americans, according to the survey released today.
The new numbers come in, but when the Sienna asked specifically whether New York should support President Trump's deportation initiatives, well, uh, you know, it plunged to 31%.
Well, not if it's Trump's idea.
I mean, how funny is that?
Joe Manchin.
He said, no one's talking about 100,000 deaths a year.
We've had more deaths from drug abuse, drug overdoses, drug use than anything else.
And he goes on to say between Mexico, China, and Canada, you know, the fentanyl they're sending to America.
We we've got to put an end.
It's hurting every American and tariffs, so what?
The tariffs are for this is what they're for to stop and use it to protect Americans, to use it to save American lives.
Good for him.
I was glad.
Anyway, so the Marines have shown up.
Senator Tom Tillis of North Carolina has filed a bill that would allow the victims of migrant crime, illegal immigrant crime, to sue the sanctuary cities that facilitated the crime.
I hope Republicans pass that bill.
Immigrants are avoiding food aid amid deportation threats.
They're getting protection from elected officials like uh the governor in Illinois.
Eventually, the if you're gonna aid Nibet in the law breaking, you're gonna end up like Chicago leaders encouraging residents to exercise their rights, trying to teach them how to resist ice and deportation.
You know, then you have a group of people literally communicating, they're setting up these communication websites to warn people, oh, ICE is in the city.
One sanctuary city under house investigation ignored a detainer on an illegal immigrant charged with rape.
Whose side are you on here?
It's unbelievable.
Anyway, 800-941 Sean is on number if you want to be a part of the program.
LA freeway blocked by anti-deportation protesters.
Maybe they should have sent ICE agents there.
If you don't respect our laws, borders, and sovereignty, if we don't get rid of these criminals, this will be our only chance.
We better pay attention.
800-941 Sean.
Doug Bergram is going to join us, the new Interior Secretary.
How can we make America the most energy dominant country on the face of the earth?
After more than a year of nonstop war, terror, pain in Israel, there is a massive demand.
You have tens and tens of thousands of Israelis that have been literally kicked out of their homes.
They have no place to live.
They have no food, water, supplies, bare necessities.
The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews has supported and are continuing to support those in the Holy Land facing the lingering horrors of this war and those in desperate need right now.
I know Benjamin Netanyahu's going to be meeting with President Trump of the White House this week.
Whatever gift you can provide today will be given to critically, you know, needed communities in the North and South, devastated by this ongoing war against terrorism.
Your generous donation will deliver those in needs, including evacuees, refugees from war-torn areas, first responders, volunteers, wounded soldiers, even Holocaust survivors, families who've lost everything, and so much more.
Anyway, give a gift to our friends in Israel as they battle radical Islamists.
