If you want to join us, I mean, and Michael Cohn, who got gutted last Thursday.
I mean, if you think that was bad, I mean, he got double gutted today.
And I'm just want to start out with something that's so basic, so fundamental, that everybody understand this here.
Is that nothing illegal has ever been proved in this courtroom as we're now in day 19 of Donald Trump off the campaign trail.
I mean, it really is.
I mean, it's like they they have given nothing.
Their witnesses have been disastrous.
Okay, well, they start with David Pecker.
David Pecker, what does he talk about?
Catch and kill, and and talks about uh, you know, liking Donald Trump like he liked, like Arnold Schwarzenegger, and he liked a whole bunch of other people and did nice things for them.
Uh and that was the way he ran his business.
None of which is illegal.
None of it.
You know, they come up with this ridiculous.
First of all, the statute of limitations had run out in terms of this what would be a misdemeanor in New York if if, you know, a bookkeeping error, and it ran out in 2019 or 2020.
And anyway, so they run out of the statute of uh limitations.
They come up with this insane novel legal theory, which, you know, these 34 misdemeanor counts on business record quote falsification, uh, which, by the way, Michael Cohn just blew the whole case out of the water today, on top of admitting he's a thief on top of everything else that you know you can call him a liar and and you know, con and and and you know, ex con, whatever you want to call him anyway.
But they didn't offer any evidence at all that the records were falsified.
None.
If anything, Michael Cone reaffirmed that they were the legal expense, and that he told all these people, he admits on the stand today, that in fact he told them he did it all on his own.
Everybody told.
I did it all on my own.
You know, Bragg's team forgot to offer any evidence that records were falsified or that any other crime was committed.
He proved nothing because there's nothing to prove.
You know, they just went with, okay, oh, it sounds nefarious catch and and kill operation.
Oh, it sounds uh nefarious.
Uh, yeah, uh uh the salacious details of Stormy Daniels.
Okay, none of which is even at the heart of the case, so they can muddy the waters the whole time.
These are unbelievable times we're living in.
And I'm gonna tell you, it's uh it's a real danger to this constitutional republic that we cherish and love and and is so near and dear to our heart.
And the fact that the weaponization of our Justice Department is playing out in real time is is spectacular.
So they've they've proven no crime.
There is no crime.
They've, you know, stunts and and you know, honestly, frankly, just legal wordplay conspired this because he's not even charged with anything such as this.
He had a perfectly legal non-disclosure agreement, and Michael Cohn says he did it all and never told Donald Trump, and he said it over and over and over and over again.
You just can't make it make it up.
And this is this is where we now are.
This is what this is.
You got a liar and a thief.
You know, really, I guess you call call that embezzlement, admitted on the stand today.
I mean, it just is like this is their star witness.
And it's all headed up by a judge that donated to Biden, his family member, you know, could could obviously is a political activist that could financially benefit from this case.
You know, on top of everything else, and even Cohn admits he's gonna financially benefit based on the results of this case.
Cohn admitted to stealing tens of thousands of dollars from the Trump organization.
He also admitted he made four point four million dollars from his book and his podcast.
I don't know how much he's made in his merch.
I don't know how much he's gotten in gifts from people, but all this money that he's making.
But he asked straight up, did you steal from the Trump organization based upon the expected reimbursement from Red Finch?
And he says, and that's the repayment plan in which he was supposed to pay Stormy Daniels the money and the tech company Red Finch 50 grand.
Yes, sir.
He testified.
Looks like $50,000.
I failed to get an exact amount.
Now we have people that were in the courtroom today Alina Haba and Alan Dershwitz was in the courtroom today.
You know, and then he he's testifying that he thought the Trump organization thought he played the full amount for which he was still reimbursed despite not having actually paid it.
Like what?
And that's a lot of money.
It's pretty unbelievable.
It's uh you know and and you got 34 felony counts and I can tell you right now there's not one single solitary person on that jury that could if I was interviewing them identify what Donald Trump is even being charged with.
I promise you that's the case.
Then you have this whole issue, and now this will know in the next day or so.
Is Robert Costello going to be called in?
Former legal advisor to Michael Cohn, who Cohn said he never had any intention of ever hiring.
He's been released from any attorney-client confidentiality agreement, telling Fox News last week that he should be called to testify.
And then another big bombshell that the grand jury that recommended charges against Trump didn't have all the information they needed because it was withheld by DA Alvin Bragg.
And it gets even more damning for Alvin Bragg.
And there should be an investigation into Alvin Bragg and whether or not he broke the law, as far as I'm concerned.
Anyway, he has a legal obligation.
If he has exculpatory information, because remember, in a grand jury proceedings, somebody does not have a defense attorney.
And if he has information that's exculpatory, he's supposed to bring that to the grand jury.
Hence, where does the phrase you can indict a ham sandwich come from?
But anyway, he pointed out both in his congressional testimony and on American Newsroom last week before I went on on Thursday.
But he testified that before the grand jury that before he Costello testified before the grand jury, he said he gave Bragg's assistant DA the courtesy of an hour and a half Zoom conference.
He told them the exculpatory material that he said was supposed to be put before the...
the grand jury then he said that that information by Bragg's team was cherry picked and not used in its entirety as part of the evidence in this case do you know how damning that is Costello telling Fox News that Cohn specifically told him it was his idea to take care of the NDA after he had been contacted by a lawyer for Stormy Daniels who said he was going to claim that Donald Trump had sex with her.
Cohn said, I didn't believe the allegation, but nevertheless, it'd be embarrassing to Melania.
So I decided to take care of this myself.
OK, well, that's a legal expense.
That would be a business expense.
That's a lawyer doing his job, supposedly, and not even telling his client any of it, which, by the way, then would show that he lied on last Tuesday when he said he went into an explanation with Trump in that phone call.
And that got exposed to when he got gutted on Thursday over the timing of that phone call, which was a minute and 36 seconds.
And then he claimed, yeah, no, I talked to Keith Schiller because the text at the time showed that he was reaching out to Trump security chief, Keith Schiller, and made the phone call to him.
And in a minute and 36 second call, he dealt with some kid he was calling a stalker and then claims he told Trump everything about all of this.
It doesn't none of that held water.
And as Todd Blanchett said, you're a liar.
You're lying.
What happens if you lie in a courtroom?
well what's supposed to happen anyway and and Cohn then recalled all the times the multiple people that former President Trump knew nothing about the hush money's telling everybody Trump doesn't know a thing about this telling person after person after person.
He didn't recall telling them first lady, Melania Trump, that her husband didn't know about the payoff, but said he did remember telling New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman.
He also testified, he told other various media members that Trump knew nothing about the payment of Daniels.
Well, that should be case closed.
He didn't know anything about it.
Cohn said he spent dozens of hours.
Why are we paying to this?
Paying attention to this.
We should be investigating we shouldn't be investigating Brag.
Guy that hit this the hardest last week was the great one, Mark Levin.
And that was on the issue of Brady.
And he went into great specificity and great detail.
We brought it this up during the the case with uh General Flynn back in the day.
And then, of course, I think the judge needs to be investigated as well.
And why he didn't recuse himself in this case when he should have.
Cohn admitting he spent dozens of hours practicing testimony with prosecutors.
And in fact, that he met with Alvin Bragg's team as many as 20 times, hours each time.
Uh, you know, in the lead up to this case.
That's why it was so important for the defense to show the real Michael Cohn on his podcast and all over, you know, TikTok and social media.
The real Michael Cohn, I hate him, he belongs in jail, he's an animal, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
But it's, you know, it's just all of this should have, you know, this case should be dismissed.
It should have been dismissed director verdict by the by the judge in this case, but it's never going to happen with a judge that clearly is political.
Let me tell you what, the net outcome for this judge in this case, he's going to be a rock star all over the city of New York when this is all said and done.
Regardless of the outcome.
You tried to bring down Trump.
We can't thank you enough.
Let me buy you a round of drinks.
Let me send you a bottle of wine.
He'll be invited to all the parties.
It's going to be a real real social light in New York.
Linda, was I ever a social light in New York?
Nope.
I don't know if we consider the YMCA a social light club, but hey.
I never went to the YMCA.
I went to one place.
Oh, come on.
It wasn't good for my joke.
Just roll with it, brother.
Uh uh I went to Del Frisco's steakhouse.
Why?
Because they're not going to be a good one.
Oh, that's a little bougie.
That is a little bougie, Sean.
I'm not going to lie.
It took five steps from Fox to get there.
It was a little convenient, is what it was.
Bougie.
Bougie.
Yeah, that's that's a way to describe me, a bougie.
You do like lemon cake.
I never I haven't eaten it in years because, you know, I'm always looking to maintain my healthy physique.
I'll be fun later.
Let me get the information out first, I promise.
Uh Trump's legal team, you know, wants one legal expert witness.
They want to bring in the guy that knows this law.
And the judge is fighting them.
Well, then it becomes a battle of likely becomes a battle of the experts since the prosecution would be allowed to summon their own expert.
Well, if you have somebody that wrote the law, bring him in.
Which they do.
And then ultimately, Mershawn said the defense's expert witness could testify regarding general legal definitions and terms related to the case, but can't go get into detail.
It's a court of law.
This case is about the rule of law.
This case is about the law that he's being charged with that nobody seems to be able to define, not even the smartest attorneys in the country.
But the judge doesn't want that at all.
You gotta be kidding me.
By the way, Cohn stole all this money, he's made 4.4 million in a podcast in his books.
Why didn't he repay Donald Trump the money that he stole from him?
And I do think they should bring in Bob Costello, but we'll find out.
Prosecution rests their case after Michael Cohn steps down from the witness stand.
Okay.
They had cross, and then obviously they went back in and they tried to rehabilitate him, and that didn't work at all at all.
Um you can't rehabilitate somebody like Michael Cohn.
It's been a disaster.
And the thing is, as I stand by my comment from the beginning.
I don't think Donald Trump Could ever get a fair trial in New York, D.C., I don't think he can get a fair trial in Fulton County, Georgia.
Although it looks like all these cases are going to go away anyway.
And and including this one.
I I am now after the gutting of Cone.
And it'll come down to jury instructions, and this judge is never going to be fair.
This is this is this case, by the way, if he ever was found guilty of anything, it is it is overturned on appeal.
Problem is the appeal happens after the election.
But the odds of a minimum hung jury, very, very high now compared to where I was.
I was like, yeah, odds are like next to zero.
I was preparing everybody to, you know, for a guilty verdict, because I don't think you can get a fair jury, the fair trial, and he hasn't gotten one.
Hey there.
I'm Mary Catherine Hamm.
And I'm Carol Markowitz.
We've been in political media for a long time.
Long enough to know that it's gotten, well, a little insane.
That's why we started normally a podcast for people who are over the hysteria and just want clarity.
We talk about the issues that actually matter to the country without panic, without yelling, and with a healthy dose of humor.
We don't take ourselves too seriously, but we do take the truth seriously.
So if you're into common sense, sanity, and some occasional SAS.
You're our kind of people.
Catch new episodes of Normally every Tuesday and Thursday.
On the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen.

We'll be right back.
Immigration, jobs, health care.
The news you care about is right here.
Hannity Watch is on.
The news you care about is right here.
Now we have Helena Haba, Trump's uh legal spokesperson who has been in the courtroom all day, and she will join us.
Uh, you know, we'll talk about the redirect of the prosecution.
They made absolutely no headway trying to rehabilitate Michael Cohn.
I mean, it's really two days of gutting the star witness.
I mean, it's been pretty spectacular to watch all of this unfold.
I've never seen anything like it.
In law school, they will always tell you don't expect a Perry Mason moment.
And if you've watched the movie, we talked about it last week, my cousin Minnie.
You don't expect that's how you're going to win a case.
But in this case, that's what happened.
Anyway, also uh Jonathan Trelly was in there.
He'll join us on TV tonight.
Alan Dershowitz will join us on radio today.
Uh Greg Jarrett will get his take on everything as well.
We got a lot of analysis coming up, a lot of questions to ask and have answered for you as well.
And uh next week it looks like closing arguments.
Sean's got more behind the scenes information, more contacts than anybody.
More friends behind the curtain.
Sean Hannity is on.
All right, 25 to the top of the hour, 800-941 Sean, our number if you want to be a part of the program.
Look, since 91101, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, they have been committed to supporting our nation's first responders and vets, and these are the heroes that put their lives on the line for our communities, our country.
Uh, we're talking about people like U.S. Army Major Jonathan Turnbull.
Now he sustained devastating injuries at the hands of an ISIS suicide bomber.
He completely lost any use of his left eye, he had a puncture to his right eye.
He needed more than 20 surgeries, countless hours of rehabilitation.
Thankfully, Tunnel to Towers paid off his family mortgage, gave him a uh specifically adapted smart home designed for his needs.
Uh it's only possible because of generosity from people just like you, and that f that the foundation can support these families.
So please join the Tunnel to Towers Foundation in supporting America's Heroes, our nation's catastrophically injured vets, first responders, homeless vets, gold star families, families of fallen first responders, and just go to their website.
If every one of you hearing my voice right now commits to eleven dollars a month, all of this great work can continue.
Anyway, their website is the letter T, the number two, the letter T.org, the letter T, the number two, the letter T.org for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
Uh, you know, now they're fighting over you know, whether well what can Bob Costello testify to?
I mean, it's really unbelievable.
You know, Bradley Smith is the former FEC commissioner.
He knows about the law and this corrupt Biden donor judge who should have recused himself, ruling that both sides must submit proposed jury instructions, uh, but Mr. Smith can only testify as to the function and role of the FEC.
They didn't bring charges against Donald Trump because there was no violation by Donald Trump.
You know, even the weaponized Justice Department of Biden didn't do it.
Even Cyrus Vance, the predecessor of Alvin Bragg, he didn't do it.
Even Alvin Bragg said he wasn't going to do it and only did it after he was embarrassed when two uh lawyers who dedicated their lives to getting Trump quit his office publicly and embarrassed him.
That's the only reason it happened.
But to say the, you know, in a court of law to have the FEC commissioner on the stand explaining the law, explaining why Trump was not subject to any fine or or any action at all.
I mean, is critical because this is a case about, quote, election laws, and they're insane and and convoluted, upcharging, you know, and and this ridiculous legal theory that had never been used in the past, you know,
where oh, we're gonna turn a what would be a misdemeanor case whose statute of limitations have run out into a federal election case, and and then we can't hear from the former FEC commissioner, and then when you can hear from him, he can only testify to the function and role the FEC and explain general terms that have an official definition like expenditure.
You know, uh, I mean, this is this is ridiculous.
Now they're trying to, I'm being told in the courtroom, they're arguing.
I guess the jury has been released.
Uh, but anyway, we're going to talk to Alina Haba.
She's been in the courtroom all day, as well as uh Alan Dershowitz, and we'll check in with Greg Jarrett.
We got a lot more coming up on this throughout the hour.
I I was told by witnesses in the courtroom that the juries, you know, they've been rubbing their eyes, holding their heads in their hands, shifting in their seats.
Uh you can look, you just never know with the jury, and that's the danger.
You know, when when of course, you know what the judge doesn't want in this case?
He doesn't want Bob Costello to testify Alvin Bragg withheld exculpatory information from the grand jury that indicted Donald Trump, which came out in the trial today, and that he would corroborate today.
I mean, it's unreal.
Well, it didn't come out in the trial today.
It came out when in in congressional testimony.
It came out in interviews that he's done with Fox.
He doesn't want that coming out.
Well, there should be investigation into Alvin Bragg and an investigation into this compromise judge that should have recused himself.
Unbelievable times we're we're looking at here.
Uh we have a lot of other news that uh let me just hit some of it, considering we're gonna hit this case hard today with people that were in the courtroom.
Uh by the way, Biden was mocked, you know, uh all over the weekend uh over video footage showing what appeared to be a tiny crowd of supporters that were greeting the president's motorcade.
This is in the city of Atlanta.
I lived, I was broadcasting for four years in Atlanta.
I got a very, very proud send-off when I went to Fox News in October 96, the year-end edition of the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
Was very nice to me.
Nineteen ninety-six was a great year for two reasons.
The Olympics came to the city of Atlanta, and Sean Hannity left.
That's a compliment, right, Linda?
I think that's a compliment.
I mean, you know, from a super liberal city, sure.
And when I left Huntsville, Alabama, goodbye to the talk show hosts from hell.
I don't know.
I'm beginning to get a complex.
Maybe every every place I've ever left.
Maybe it's a good thing I've stayed in one spot now for a while.
Although, meaning what I'm doing and working at Fox and on radio here.
But anyway, Joe was dazed and confused.
At Morehouse College, they're referring to him as Genocide Joe.
You know, is you know, said during COVID, Barack Obama, you know, sent him to Detroit to fix this.
And when I was vice president, things were kind of bad.
And when I was vice president, things were kind of bad during the pandemic.
And what happened was Barack said to me, go to Detroit and help fix it.
Pandemic didn't happen when he was vice president.
Barack never said any such thing.
But Genocide Joe did not get a warm welcome.
Panic in the ranks.
You know, Biden mocked for the small showing of supporters in Atlanta.
Nobody cared that he showed up at Morehouse College.
You know, Claire McCaskill saying there's a level of panic out there among Democrats.
The Hill alarmed Democrats are fleeing Biden's ailing brand in battleground states.
Some of the left on the left still calling for Biden to be removed from the ticket.
One commentator going as far as is hoping the actual uh uh uh tables come into play, actuarial tables, meaning his age.
Watch Trump now, another thing that has happened, and I actually agree with this.
We also only saw one time jacked up Joe.
Now I was on right after the State of the Union.
That's my phrase.
Everybody's now using did you notice, Linda, everyone's using jacked up Joe because it fit perfectly.
I don't know why you didn't trademark that, Sean.
I mean, that was trademarked that sucker, jacked up Joe.
I should we should have t-shirts on Hannity.com.
We don't.
I'm make them tonight.
You're gonna oh, you're gonna make the t-shirts tonight and have a good sheldomar?
Absolutely.
Heck yeah.
Anyway, uh Jacked Up Joe.
Now, here's the interesting part.
We never saw jacked up Joe before the State of the Union, and we haven't seen Jacked Up Joe after the State of the Union, which tells me, you know, maybe all of that Red Bull, extra strength, etc.
caffeine pills, uh extra strength, etc.
And uh has uh caffeine in it, or some or whatever else they're using to keep him awake and jacked up, whatever that might be.
Not inferring anything.
Gotta be something.
We've never seen it since either.
He he immediately reverts to form, and we get the the typical Joe Biden, mumbling, bumbling, stumbling, dazed and confused, you know, tripping and falling.
Anyway, during the uh Lincoln Reagan dinner Friday in Minnesota, Trump announced I'm gonna demand that Biden take a drug test.
And by the way, I don't want him coming in like the State of the Union like where he's high as a kite.
I mean, I guess if you drink a lot of I guess if you drink a lot of Red Bull, that's kind of a definition of high as a kite or whatever, whatever, whatever maybe got him that jacked up.
He's previously stated that Biden was all jacked up.
He's right.
Now he's at it higher than a kite.
They gotta be fair, and this gets to the heart of this ridiculous idea.
You know, the debate about debates is over.
Oh, only the media corrupt mob and Joe Biden think they can dictate every term of the debate.
Well, I'm only gonna do these four venues.
Uh, you get to pick two.
Make my day, Mr. Make My Day.
Well, well, Trump now has agreed to four, including Fox News with Brett Baer and Martha McCallum.
I guess if Joe doesn't show, Joe won't show.
He's agreed to fake news C and then he never agreed to fake Jake Tapper.
I mean, fake Jake Tapper is on record calling the the Trump presidency a nightmare.
Oh, okay, there's a fair guy for to be the moderator of a debate.
He says he's a journalist.
He's not a journalist.
None of these people on TV, cable news or journalists.
They're all talk show hosts.
Now, they're all members of the press.
I'm a member of the press.
All right, but the difference is I don't say that I'm a journalist, but I do journalism, and I can produce thousands of hours of radio TV.
I do investigative reporting.
I can produce, you know, hundreds and maybe thousands of hours of that too.
I do on radio and TV.
We do opinion.
I'm honest about who I am.
I'm a conservative.
And I've been supporting Donald Trump.
They just lie and say that they're journalists.
They're not journalists.
That's why we're going to keep playing fake Jake Tapper, giving his opinions.
Because he's just a liar.
And he has no business at all, whatsoever, moderating any presidential debate.
And the idea that the media mob and the Biden campaign think they can dictate every term of these debates.
And is frankly never how it's been done historically.
Pretty unconscionable.
By the way, Trump is planning to hold a campaign rally in the South Bronx.
This is going to be pretty cool.
May 23rd, Ratona Park.
Anyways, expected to speak on the in New York about the economy, the crime rate, illegal immigrant crisis, his first rallies in New York state since Buffalo in 2016.
And now New Yorkers have suffered greatly thanks to Biden's failed policies.
Is it in play?
I don't know.
He's made up 13 points since 2020 in the latest poll out of New York, made up 11 in the state of New Jersey.
He's now pulling even in a poll in Minnesota.
I don't know.
I have no idea if these states are in play.
None at all.
Would be nice to know.
By the way, good riddance to bad rubbish.
You know, now know that this uh this ridiculous what's the guy's name?
The uh not the Ayatollah Iranian uh president, foreign minister.
Yeah, is dead.
Helicopter crash.
Well, the number one state sponsor of terror and the president of that country and the foreign minister dying doesn't uh impact my day.
Uh and by the Biden lifted Trump's sanctions against the international criminal court.
What did they do?
They prevented the ICC's new push to arrest Bibi Netanyahu.
Now they're now they've issued arrest warrants.
Unbelievable times only because Joe Biden surrendered in the war on terrorism.
Pretty unbelievable.
Nobody cares about genocide Joe in Georgia.
That's what they were calling him.
Not me calling him.
You know, he's trying to reach out to black voters.
Okay, that's great.
Here's the problem is that he's losing 20 plus percent in most polls around the country.
But the motorcade greeted by a sparse crowd, nobody cares about him.
Nobody cared at all.
Well, it's not good, especially Georgia is an important state.
But Donald Trump, Georgia, you're very important.
North Carolina important.
Pennsylvania important.
Wisconsin, Michigan, important.
Arizona, important.
New Mexico is important.
Nevada's important.
If you can put other states in play, I'd love this to be nothing more than a massive, overwhelming, huge victory.
We're now looking at the economy.
Interest on the national debt is over $114 billion so far this year, this fiscal year.
It's going to top over a trillion dollars this year.
We're going to pay in interest on our debt.
This country can't survive with this man adding that much debt to our to our government.
And by the way, in a time when we're not dealing with a pandemic.
Adjusted for inflation.
Household wealth under Trump grew 20 times faster than Biden.
Average inflation rate of 20%.
Unbelievable since Joe Biden's been president.
It's flattened any wealth gain that people might have had Under Trump.
Unbelievable.
California, job losses have jumped 20% in just the last year.
Wow.
Unreal.
Never mind immigration.
You know, I keep talking about tens and tens of thousands from China, Russia, Egypt, Afghanistan, Syria, Iran, Yemen.
Well, now we're finding out, according to the Department of Homeland Security, 6,000 illegal immigrants from ISIS-friendly countries, Kazakhstan, the Jakistan.
I can't even say all the stuns.
Ubekistan, you know, each in each which ISIS K is an active recruiting presence.
Biden sets the all-time record for illegal border crossings.
But the borders closed and secure, he told us, for three years.
You know, and they refused to say how many terrorists they've let into the country.
Why won't they tell us?
This interview with the Pope was beyond disheartening.
That's why I'm not a Catholic anymore.
I'm a Christian, but I'm not a Catholic.
Denouncing attempts to limit illegal immigration from our southern border, calls it madness.
Now, that's called border security.
They're supposed to just let unvetted illegal immigrants into our country and just, you know, pay for everything they need.
Maybe the Catholic Church would like to pay for that.
They're free to set up centers in the Holy See.
Unbelievable times we're living in.
Really are.
Scary times.
In so many different ways.
Now we had a lot of people in the courtroom today that will be uh joining us, including Alina Haba.
Just had a big uh battle over the issue of Bob Costello, who will be uh testifying.
And uh now he will be on the stand tomorrow.
He is the second witness for the defense in this case.
And well, apparently the prosecution is scared to death uh because they you know the they clashed over this, and the prosecutor arguing that Costello's testimony should be admissible, only to address any inconsistent statements.
But the defense attorney rightly pointed out the prosecution opened the door to the evidence, and they have every right to uh to rebut the government's argument and the pressure campaign theory.
