This is an iHeart Podcast.
Thanks, Scott Shannon.
Hour two, Sean Hannity Show, toll-free.
It is 800-941 Sean, if you want to be a part of the program.
Here is Karine Jean Pierre, the president's spokesperson.
My message to 25 Republican governors supporting Texas is to solve the border crisis legislatively.
The only problem with this is uh as I went through in great detail and and painful detail in the last hour, it was the most secure border ever inherited by any president ever.
And Joe Biden did 17 specific things to undo the Trump policies on the border.
That's all within his power.
He does not need Congress to do any of the things that were in place that that he removed in the first hundred days that he was president.
But anyway, here's Kareem Jean-Pierre.
I would say to them that uh are they you said Republican governors?
Yes.
I would say to them that if they truly want to help with with the issue at the border with the immigration system, that they need to talk to their uh they need to talk to the congressional members, the senators in their state.
That's what they need to do.
They need to ask them to make sure that they have the resources they need within their respective states to take action, right?
To actually deal with a broken system.
The way that we deal with this is legislatively.
The way that we deal with this is for Congress to act.
And so that's what those 25 Republican governors need to do.
They need they really want to help.
They really want to assist, they really want to see change uh with the immigration system, they really want to uh fix the challenges that we see at the border, then they should talk to their senators and the congress and their congressmen.
Now our own uh Sarah Carter, who's also gonna be at the border tonight, talks to, you know, the local VP of the National Border Patrol Council about the border crisis, again, pitting uh federalized uh border patrol agents against Texas National Guard.
Not exactly a good situation.
The only thing I can say that is good is law enforcement on both sides are basically on the same page saying that they support Governor Abbott and they're not cutting down any wire.
Anyway, listen.
John, we're here at Shelby Park.
I mean, the whole country is watching what is happening right here right now.
This is a constitutional issue.
It's the federal government, the White House against the state.
And it's the men and women of the border patrol and our National Guard and our Texas DPS that are stuck right in the middle of it all.
That's right.
You know, it should the border patrol have access to the border.
Sure.
I mean that's why we have to do our job, but this isn't a normal situation, you know.
The White House is preventing us from doing our job.
They could be focusing on uh the fixing the asylum issues.
They could be focusing on addressing all of these cities in the country now who are dealing with this large influx of immigrants that they cannot handle.
Uh instead, they just want to fight with Texas over Shelby Park.
When President Biden was on the campaign trail in the first campaign, uh he was talking about how he was gonna come in in the White House and basically undo everything that President Trump did.
And he did.
I mean, he he was a stroke of a pen.
He he changed the policy to be the opposite of what President Trump had in place.
So and what was the result of that?
This insanity.
This is now about the White House just trying to fight with with Governor Abbott over this issue instead of trying to figure out how do we stop this from happening.
Agents don't want to be down here dealing with asylum claims.
Uh we'd want to be chasing the people who are trying to get away from us.
There are people getting away.
And even though we're not out as much as we are, we're still catching plenty of people with that criminal history.
Imagine if we were out there actually doing our job, how many more people we would catch.
All right, joining us now one of those twenty-five governors supporting the president, even offering to drive razor wire, which Governor Abbott continues to put up.
He'll be on Hannity Hannity tonight at nine.
Uh, but offered to drive down razor wire herself.
I believe you were down there.
What day were you down there last week or this weekend?
I was down there on Friday, so just a couple of days ago is actually the day that the federal government said they were going to come in and force Texas to take down the razor wire that they had installed.
It was actually working.
So I wanted to see with my own eyes exactly what the situation was, how it had changed in the last several months, and what was Texas going to be asking our state for help with.
Well, and and uh you I gotta give credit to every Republican governor.
Um am I wrong?
Was it not you that said that you would drive razor wire down there yourself?
It was it was absolutely.
You know, as soon as We heard the decision come out of the Supreme Court.
I knew it was a threat to our state sovereignty and our right to defend ourselves and our people in our states and us as commanders in chief of our National Guards here in South Dakota.
So I told Governor Abbott I was all in.
I'd bring in more razor wire if he needed it.
I have extra.
And uh that we would certainly help him defend his state because we see the effects of that open border every day here in South Dakota.
Um we've got nine tribal reservations where I have no jurisdiction, and these cartels are set up on our tribal reservations in our state, funneling drugs and human trafficking through their right here within our own state borders.
So we see it and deal with it every single day.
Um and continuing to allow this to happen uh in our country is insane.
I watched on CNN, you were questioned are you worried about the potential for violence.
Well, the only one that's created a showdown here s for the very cause of being able to cut down the razor wire that Texas put up, uh the person that precipitated this showdown with a deadline as of Friday was Joe Biden.
So um no, nobody wants violence down there, and I know law enforcement, they they don't want to be against each other confronting each other over this, and I don't think they're gonna do it.
No, I don't think they're going to either.
And if you talk to, you know, border patrol down there and and folks that work for these federal agencies, they hate their jobs right now.
I mean, they hate what their president is doing and their boss, and they don't support these policies either.
So I think that is what is so unbelievable to me is that Joe Biden continues to break federal law and do it to the destruction of our country, is that the Democrats um throughout the state that are normal everyday citizens living in these communities, they don't want it.
They've got democratic mayors that are protesting uh this migrant invasion that they're dealing with.
You know, they've got their own people that work and enforce these laws or want to enforce the laws at the border, don't support them.
So it's in it's crazy to me that that Joe Biden doesn't realize this is the number one issue in 2024 with the population of the United States of America, and he's running to get re-elected and that he doesn't address it and fix it.
You know, there's uh and I went through the relevant U.S. laws that are applicable here, and there are many.
Uh if anybody listening to this program or you yourself, governor, if or if I did it, uh if you were to smuggle in or allow in people that are not lawfully allowed into this country, if you were to conceal them, harbor them, uh if you were to provide domestic transportation for them, you know, there's there's at least, you know, ten laws on the books that I can cite that Joe Biden is breaking here.
Now, a lot of people have been somewhat critical over the impeachment process over uh Secretary Alejandro Mayorcis.
Ultimately, I think the buck stops with Joe Biden on this.
He that these are his border policies.
He made these direct actions.
He was the one that undid, you know, every every single policy of Donald Trump that was working.
So I blame him and he's allowed it to happen, and for three years they pretty much have just lied to us telling us the borders closed and the borders secure.
It never has been.
No, that's exactly right.
And it's not that he's just not re enforcing federal law, it's that he's knowingly violating federal law.
Um, you know, the there is a federal statute that mandates the detention of these illegal immigrants, and he is allowing people just to pass through the border en masse uh into the United States under parole statutes that is a complete violation of what is on the books.
So when Congress talks about passing more and more laws, they don't have to pass more laws.
They they need a president who cares about the law that we have today and enforces it and doesn't violate it himself.
So I'm not really sure what the strategy is.
Uh the House Republicans pay passed a very strong uh bill to secure the border, HR one in the Senate.
You know, uh I'm I'm not sure why, although I guess Oklahoma Senator Langford denies it, but all these reports out there that, you know, this bipartisan bill, which would supposedly secure the border, uh, if Biden, by the way, would even keep his word or enforce this, but five they there are going to be people up to five thousand a day, according to one report that is being denied by Secret uh by Senator Langford.
Uh but I gotta tell you something.
How about the answer has to be nobody gets to enter this country illegally?
Everybody needs to be vetted for radical associations.
Everybody needs a health check, and everybody needs to be able to prove that That they're not going to be a financial burden on the American people.
Then, you know, once you go through that process legally, I don't care where you come from, welcome to America.
But short of that, no, we should not tolerate open borders that Joe Biden now we're going on ten million illegal immigrants since he's been president.
Yeah, what that bill would have done would have essentially codified illegal immigration, would have made it uh a a law in this country that you can break our immigration laws to a certain cap of number per week, five thousand people per week, and then after that, well, then we're gonna enforce the federal law.
I've never seen anything written so ridiculous in my entire life.
In fact, I'm going to have a joint session.
I'm calling my legislature for a joint session on Wednesday while I will give them the facts of the situation at the border and um ask them to consider South Dakota resources to do be all in on defending our states' rights, but also protecting our country, because when you have a federal government that is proposing bills like that, when you have a president in the White House that is taking the actions that he's taking, we can't rely on anybody else to defend our country.
Uh we as states need to be strong and be united in saying this is an issue, this is a problem, and we're prepared to take action.
All right, quick break.
We'll have more with Governor Gnome on the other side, then we'll get to your calls and Congressman Mike Waltz on the situation with Iran.
Uh first, speaking of your personal safety, your family safety, your your employees' safety, if you have a business, uh, you've got to have a a security plan.
You gotta prepare for the God forbid what if moment, what if it happens to you?
And I've always been a big supporter of the second amendment.
I've had a license to carry my entire adult life.
And however, I'm always looking for new ways to rethink my security, and I found it in Burner, B Y R N A. It releases two pepper sprays and tear gas uh upon impact.
It's amazing.
Just go to burner.com, B Y R N A dot com slash Hannity.
Right now you get 10% off.
That's byrna.com slash Hannity.
We'll be right back.
The land of the free because of the brave.
It's the Sean Hannity show.
Hey, what if your home's title, which is the legal document that proves you own your home, is in some criminal's name.
Well, that's called home title theft, and criminals all over the world can find your home's title online, and then they'll forge your signature, they'll take out loans against your home, or even worse, sell your home.
Now, how do you know some criminals not taking over the title to your home?
You can find out with sign up at home title lock.com and use the promo code Sean S E A N. We continue now with South Dakota Governor Christy Nome is with us.
Yeah.
What do you think of this push by Democrats to get Biden and to uh federalize the National Guard, which I can't think of a time that's happened.
I'm sure it probably has, but uh I can't think of a time.
Well, that's the part that alarmed me so much was I saw Democrats on the national news calling on President Biden to under Title Ten federally activate our National Guard soldiers.
And I went to the border the next morning um to find out if in reality that was going to be true, what that would look like, and and Sean, it would be the first time unprecedented that I know of that that a president activated soldiers to not protect America, to stand down and to allow an invasion.
So that's um that's the Democrat Party today, is that they would like to pay our soldiers and take away my duty as commander in chief of my South Dakota National Guard uh and and pay those soldiers and force them to stand down and not protect their country.
I just that that is a party that wants to destroy the freedoms and liberties that we've all had the chance to enjoy.
I just think America needs to know the facts as I laid them out earlier in this program.
I won't go through them all with you, but all of all all of the moves that Joe Biden has made, including taking Texas to the to the the U.S. Supreme Court in the first place for the right to cut down the razor wire.
But he he dismantled every single policy that was working.
And now for them to try to blame the legislator legislature, he did all of that independently, free of the legislature uh legislative branch.
He did it all on his own.
And yet Trump had in place and he can re-implement the policies in the Trump case.
And they don't need again, as I said, assistance from the House.
Um I don't think that he's gonna win this lie against Donald Trump that he's trying to perpetuate here.
No, I I think that's exactly true.
And and why they sued Texas was because Texas had figured out a way to install razor wire that it actually was working.
It was impenetrable.
They could not they said not even the able-bodied military-aged men could get around how they elevated a concertina wire and attached it to panels and did an overhang on top of shipping containers, and it was working amazingly, and that's when the federal government decided to come after him.
That's when they went to court to force them to take it down is because they had actually found a solution that was a wall that was working that not one could get through.
And that's what um is so alarming to those that are down there.
If you're in Shelby Park today, it is only Texas.
Texas took back their ground.
They took back the United States of America territory and said illegal immigrants don't have any right to be here.
This is American soil.
And I'm so proud of them for doing it.
Um, and for coming up with solutions that actually worked.
And and if we just had Texas along our whole southern border, uh, we'd be doing a lot better than we are today with Joe Biden in the White House and in charge.
Well, I gotta tell you, it is it is not insignificant that you and every Republican governor is offered, you know, all the support you've been offering.
Uh that certainly strengthens uh Governor Abbott's hands and it ties Joe Biden's hands up.
You know, the the guy that you know, frankly is has sucked up to Iran, finally resulting after near what, nearly two hundred attacks against our soldiers, the inevitable happens, three are killed, thirty some odd others are injured, and and Joe Biden acts like his policies are not related to it.
And and they know he said two weeks ago, they know they're not supposed to be engage with us.
They they know better.
I'm like, no, they don't, Joe, because they've been attacking our troops forever.
Anyway, attacking them with no consequences, no consequences and not even strong language and diplomatic relations.
We have been a limp wet ushered in as a future for America if we don't wake up and get rid of him as soon as possible.
Well said.
Governor Noam, glad you're out there, glad all the Republican governors are standing together strong.
I think it's very, very important.
We appreciate you being with us.
You bet.
Have a wonderful day.
All right, thanks, Scott Shannon, and welcome to our news roundup information overload hour.
A lot of news today.
Supreme Court hearing arguments on the case of whether Donald Trump can be kicked off the ballot in this case in Colorado.
Uh very interesting.
Every indication that it's going to be a 9-0 decision in favor of Trump.
Uh and then the big bombshell of the day is the special counsel, Robert Herr coming out with his report about Joe Biden and top secret classified documents, and concluding that no criminal charges are warranted.
Biden would likely present himself to a jury as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.
And the very first line of the report states, we conclude that no criminal charges are warranted in this matter.
You know, we could reach the same conclusion even if the Department of Justice did not foreclose criminal charges against a sitting president.
And then he states that by f Biden did in fact violate the law by willfully, quote, willfully retaining and disclosing classified materials after his vice presidency when he was a private citizen.
And those materials included marked classified documents about foreign policy in Afghanistan, notebooks containing, quote, Mr. Biden's handwritten entries about issues of national security and foreign policy implicating sensitive intelligent sources and methods, and it goes on and on and on from there.
In other words, he's guilty.
You know, remember this you see all these examples of these old mob guys, you know, they put themselves in a weird wheelchair, they dress up in their pajamas.
I mean, is is this the message we're now gonna send?
Well, if you just come off as a as a very nice, sympathetic, well-meaning uh older man with no memory or a poor memory, yeah, there's nobody that's gonna want to find you guilty there.
That that that's a whole new legal standard.
Never mind the whole double standard I've gone into great detail with uh as it relates to how they treated President Trump and how they treated Hillary Clinton.
If you're a Democrat, you get one system of justice.
If you're a Republican conservative, forget it.
Here's the best part.
In his interview with our office, Mr. Biden's memory was worse.
He did not remember when he was vice president for getting on the first day of the interview when his term ended, quote, if it was twenty thirteen, uh when did I stop being vice president?
Question.
And forgetting on the second day of the interview, when his term began.
Parentheses, quote, in two thousand and nine, am I still vice president?
He didn't remember even within several years when his son Bo died, and his memory appeared hazy when describing the Afghanistan debate that he was that was once so important to him, and it goes on from there.
Um anyway, former Speaker of the House, New Gingrich is with us.
Well, that's a hell of an endorsement by the special counsel.
And one interesting note, and then I'm going to hand the ball to you, is all the pictures that are in this report uh magically look like just like the pictures that were taken at Mar-a-Lago and four separate locations.
But anyway, Mr. Speaker, welcome back.
Great to have you back.
Uh uh that's a s that's a great endorsement for President Joe Biden, don't you think?
Well, listen, I I I think whatever happens on the criminal side, this is politically devastating.
You know, part of the conclusion on page six is that they couldn't convict him because, quote, uh it the jury would not believe that it was a quote a serious felony that requires a mental state of willfulness.
That's the exact quote by You have a commander in chief.
You have a commander in chief who, after all of this investigation, Robert Herr as special counsel concludes, literally cannot get his act together enough to be convicted of doing something because nobody will believe that he was responsible.
Now, I mean how would you like how would you like that as the guy in charge of defending America?
He doesn't remember when he became vice president, doesn't remember when he left office, he doesn't remember when his son died.
Um now, you're describing somebody, and I said this as a matter of fact, I said it on TV last night.
I said it yesterday on this program.
He would not qualify to be a Walmart greeter.
You know the Walmart greeter people when you go in, they're the nicest people in the world, and you and the welcome to Walmart, great to have you.
Uh anything I can help you with.
Yeah, I'd like the sporting goods department.
Yeah, that's right over there.
They're basically saying in this report, Joe Biden's not qualified for that job, but he's qualified to be president.
Well, that's why I think this is actually a devastating report, and uh, I agree with those who said this is sort of the first real signal that the left is going to get rid of him.
Um because the language here is so harsh that even though this is very much like the Hillary Clinton deal, where Clinton it's clear Hillary was guilty of all sorts of stuff, but let's not charge her.
So now you have her coming and go, you know, he's guilty of all of this, but we really shouldn't charge him.
Well the first thing it led me to believe is so so don't they have an obligation to drop the suit against Donald Trump?
I mean if the I would think so I would think so, because it's clearly you know, this is this is not equal justice or equal application of our laws now, is it?
No, and in fact, if you'll notice, Biden was in fact uh willfully handling secret documents for years.
Uh so and as as you've pointed out, and as the pictures point out, he had a box full of secret documents in his garage next to the Corvette that his son Hunter was working on.
I mean, you know, it it's it's it is so sloppy, so unimaginable.
Uh, and the notion that and I think this is where the country is gonna really uh look and put great pressure on the attorney general.
How does the attorney general Garland justify going forth against Trump in the in the Maral Argo case when they are skipping Joe Biden, who uh her basically says, obviously he did it.
Obviously it's true.
Here are all the facts.
But we don't obviously it obviously it met the standard of willful.
Right.
Except except we now believe he is so incompetent, so so sympathetic as a daughtering old fool, that we don't think we could convict him because the jury would just feel bad about uh doing something to a guy who clearly had no memory and and no capacity for being willful well if if if that's anywhere close to correct about the president of the United States I find that very sobering in terms of our national security and in terms of our whole ability
to survive as a country.
I well tell you I share your concern.
Now her in this thing actually says things that are just factually inaccurate.
He said most notably after given multiple chances to return classified documents and avoid prosecution Mr. Trump allegedly did the opposite.
Now what he obviously doesn't know is that the FBI was actually at Mar a Lago in the very room with the classified documents they had an up you know up close view of everything.
They chose not to do anything except a couple of days later they called and said would you mind putting an extra lock on the door?
So what her is writing here is not true.
And he just then cites the indictment that according to the indictment he not only refused to return the documents for many months but he also obstructed justice by enlisting others to destroy evidence and then lie about it.
In contrast Mr Biden turned in classified documents they gave him time and a heads up of of when in fact they were going to come and look they they basically colluded with him.
Now to answer your question about Merrick Garland I don't think Merrick Garland cares.
That's why Jim Jordan and the House Judiciary committee is looking into whether our DOJ has been weaponized and and politicized and whether the same thing was going on with the FBI and I think the obvious answer just using the Clinton model and the Joe Biden model and then the treatment of Donald Trump that is unequal justice under the law.
That's a dual justice system.
That's not justice in America.
That's right.
I mean, I think that the country, there should be a huge outcry about this, personally.
I just think that the country has an opportunity here to bring such enormous pressure to bear that it's crazy.
Let me play something for you.
I want you to hear Joe Biden this week.
Now, he made, in the last week, two big mistakes.
He recalled the conversation with Francois Mitterrand, who's dead and has been dead since 1996.
And then he did it again at fundraisers yesterday, talking about conversations with Helmut Kohl, who was the chancellor of Germany, when, in fact, it was Angela Merkel that he was talking about.
But he mixed that up.
And then, of course, this great moment when he couldn't remember the terrorist group Hamas responsible for.
the October 7th attack on Israel.
Listen.
There is some movement, and I don't want to, I don't want to, I mean, choose my words.
There's some movement, there's been a response from the, there's been a response from the opposition, but, yes, I'm sorry, from Hamas, but it seems to be a little over the top.
We're not sure where it is.
There's a continuing negotiation right now.
He couldn't recall Hamas refers to them as the opposition?
Is that what we call terrorists now?
No, but I mean, if you listen to that voice, you can see why her thinks no jury will ever convict him.
I mean, he sounds like he is totally out of touch with the planet.
Well, Corrine Jean-Pierre was asked about this today, and she brought me up as an example that uh somehow I'm comparable because I once mixed up Jason Chaffetz and Matt Gates's name which I have no recollection of ever but for whatever reason let me play here for you.
As it relates to the names and what he was trying to say, many people, elected officials, many people, they can misspeak sometimes, right?
And look, let me give you a couple of examples.
On Sunday, Speaker Johnson said Iran instead of Israel.
This happens.
Joe is not here.
There are Many times I call Joe from USAP.
Today Michael I'm sure he doesn't appreciate that um uh but and also Sean Hannity himself has said uh Jason Chavez when he met Matt Gates.
I mean, it happens.
It really happens.
Sean Hannity himself.
I'm on the air four hours a day, Mr. Speaker.
I first interviewed you you in 1990.
Uh do you think I'm anywhere near where Joe Biden is cognitively?
Well, I have a gun to worry about you.
You know, I love you like a brother.
Go ahead.
It was a good clean cheap shot, and I couldn't help myself.
Uh fair game.
I get it.
No, no.
Look, but what she doesn't quite get is it doesn't matter.
You are a radio TV talk show host.
You don't have nuclear weapons.
You don't have the button.
You don't have a guy walking around with a big bag in case the war starts.
I mean, we're talking about the president of the United States.
We're not talking about By the way, with the I think those things would be in safer hands with me if you want me to be blunt.
Well, they would be.
If we're measuring cognitive ability, there are probably 100 million Americans that are working with.
Uh probably more, probably two hundred.
Look, and I I tweeted today that that you're you're president to see a commercial that takes exactly Robert Hurr's language.
And just has example after example after example.
And it's a very simple question.
Do you really want to want to trust this guy with America's future for the next four years?
And I think it will be devastating, and I am beginning to believe that he will not be the nominee, because I just think uh this is beginning to move into a zone where I mean he's in La La Land.
All right.
Who replaces him?
Exit question.
Who replaces him?
Uh Michelle is the most likely if she'll do it.
Uh I think other than that, Newsom is probably the second most likely.
And then I think you go down to the governors of Michigan and Pennsylvania.
I mean, they'll they'll they'll find somebody.
There are lots of ambitious people in the world.
And and how do they how do they leapfrog over Vice President Harris?
That's where Michelle has the great advantage.
She is she is the one person who the black community could not complain about if she were to replace uh you know I I can't see her wanting to do it, but you know, if they do this in at the convention in what is it, August.
Uh I would imagine that's when it would happen, and she might look at it.
Well, I only have to campaign a few months, I'll limit my appearances, and I won't debate Donald Trump and I'll I'll just you know coast the victory.
Is that gonna be her plan?
I don't know.
I mean, I think he's decaying at a rate, and and today's report dramatically accelerates it.
Where uh I could imagine sometime this spring he announces he's not gonna run.
Uh and that uh you know you end up with uh Michelle being the most likely person drafted.
Um drafted by the superdelegates or the delegates to the DNC, that'll probably be coordinating all together.
That's my guess.
Look, you know, you know the way it works by the delegates, by the activists, uh by the members of Congress, uh, and there's a suddenly we love Michelle Club.
But I uh I didn't really believe this, but I have a good friend uh who is very well connected, who has been telling me for three months that billionaires are meeting with Michelle and Barack and talking about this race.
I'm sure that's true.
All right, Mr. Speaker, thank you.
We appreciate it.
All right, obviously a lot of news breaking all over the place today.
We do have a great Hannity tonight.
Uh we have Jonathan Turley, Alan Dershowitz, Greg Jarrett, uh Alina Haba.
I mean, we got everybody.
John Solomon with a breaking news report as well.
Uh full coverage, I promise you, all of these issues, the arguments in the Supreme Court over the issue of taking Donald Trump off the ballot, uh, the Colorado case, and of course the lockbuster of the day, Robert Hurz special counsel report on Joe Biden's cognitive state is a disaster for Joe Biden.
Will he survive as a candidate?
We'll get into all of that coming up straight ahead.
And your calls are next, 800-941 Sean as we continue.
