This is an iHeart podcast.
Here for our final news roundup and information overload.
All right, news roundup and information overload.
I'm glad you are with us.
800-941-SHAWN, our number.
You want to be a part of the program.
So I know it's, yeah, it's not the sexiest topic to talk about China and Russia and Iran and Ukraine.
And I know people are sick of it.
And you think, well, it's not impacting my life.
What do I care?
Or following what's going on in the internal political world inside of Israel and the upheaval that never seems to end, in this case, about, you know, getting the justice system power that is consolidated out of one group of people and other people's reactions to it.
But here's the problem: is when you have China now openly admitting what their final ambition is, they want to be the sole world dominant superpower, coupled by their actions, and their actions speak for themselves.
The new alliance they created, I call it the new axis of evil, which is China, Russia, Iran.
Iran is now on the verge of potentially now testing and having nuclear weapons.
It's an extraordinarily dangerous time for our country, and it's even more dangerous when you have a president that is not engaged and constantly praising China.
And I want to play Joe Biden in his montage of his never-ending praise.
Now, keep in mind that they've unleashed COVID on the world, their unlimited and never-ending intellectual property theft, their unfair trade practices, their efforts to devalue the United States dollar.
All of that is happening.
And then it gets even more embarrassing.
After I play this, I'll play Janet Yellen, who was just over there with her counterpart bowing away and sucking up.
You know, of course, after Tony Blinken's disastrous trip, which didn't accomplish a thing.
And of course, the Defense Secretary Austin's begging and pleading for a meeting with his counterpart, rejected again and again.
Anyway, here's Joe Biden praising China again and again and again and again and again.
A rising China is a positive, positive development, not only for China, but for America and the world writ large.
A more prosperous China will mean more demand for American-made goods and services.
We're not trying to contain China.
We're not trying to slow down Chinese growth.
The growth of China is overwhelmingly in our interest.
I mean, it's the fact that he does not understand this country is mind-numbing to me.
And then over goes the genius, Janet Yellen.
Really, it's just incredible.
Decoupling of the U.S. and China economies, impossible to undertake.
No, it's not impossible.
It may actually be a forced reality if we're not careful.
And her saying any actions against the Chinese economy will be transparent, targeted, and well explained.
Yeah, please don't get mad at us.
That's how I interpret that.
Or her saying China blocking the export of minerals used for computer chips is potentially retaliatory.
Potentially, what are you talking about potentially?
It is retaliatory.
It's like the little spy balloon that they never paid a price for.
Listen.
The United States does not seek a wholesale separation of our economies.
We seek to diversify and not to decouple.
The decoupling of the world's two largest economies would be destabilizing for the global economy, and it would be virtually impossible to undertake.
The administration is reportedly also considering restrictions on computer chips related to artificial technology and cloud computing.
Do you have a sense of what the retaliation will be from China when the U.S. does this?
Well, an objective of my trip was to explain that national security is something that we can't compromise about and we will protect.
And we will do so even if it harms our own narrow economic interests.
But that when we take such actions which do have an effect on the Chinese economy, that we will make sure that they are transparent, narrowly targeted, and well explained.
And this is a point that I tried to make in my conversations with Chinese counterparts.
You did mention there an action China just took in regard to export controls, meaning they have this stranglehold on a lot of critical minerals and they just blocked the export of two of them that are really essential for computer chips.
How should people understand this?
Is this a warning shot?
Is this Beijing saying, look at what we can do, and if you take further restrictions, we'll ramp it up from here?
Well, I certainly express concern about this action.
And contrasted it with the actions that we've taken.
Our own actions are narrowly targeted to address national security concerns.
And it's not clear that the actions that the Chinese took are similarly narrowly targeted at their national security concerns.
So this is an area that I expressed concern about.
Do you mean, are you suggesting there that it was just a retaliatory action?
Potentially.
Anyway, he is the author of the coming collapse of China, the great U.S.-China tech war, that I would argue right now we're losing.
Gordon Cheng is back with us, sir.
How are you?
I'm fine, Sean, and thank you so much.
Is there anything that I'm saying about China that I'm missing?
I mean, besides their massive military buildup, which I have chronicled many times on this program, of course, their aggressive actions over the airspace in Taiwan, their aggressive action against military aircraft, jet aircraft, and international airspace, their aggressive maneuvers in the South China Sea and the Pacific Ocean and international waterways.
Tell me where I'm getting this wrong.
You're not.
On the day that Janet Yellen arrived in Beijing, which was on Thursday, Xi Jinping was giving another one of his let's go to war speeches.
He did that in front of the Eastern Theater Command at the People's Liberation Army, the command that would lead the war against Taiwan or Japan.
And it's even worse than that because on that day, Chinese vessels were trying to seize Reed Bank from the Philippines.
That's in the South China Sea.
And then, of course, as you pointed out, we had the Chinese Navy and the Air Force pressuring Taiwan with their flights.
So really, what we've got right now is China moving very fast.
And we got Janet Yellen bowing before a minor Chinese official.
By the way, with all due respect, Gordon, I'm not bowing before anybody but my Lord and my Savior and the God, the creator of the heavens and earth.
I'm not bowing before anybody.
Why is there this compulsion to bow?
I don't know.
President Obama did it in Shanghai to a mid-level official in 2009.
Janet Yellen did it in front of a vice premier.
The point is that in imperial times, vassals would go to the Chinese capital and bow three times before the Chinese emperor to show a sign of subordination.
Now, Janet Yellen didn't even see Xi Jinping.
She met someone who was less senior than she was.
I mean, Americans don't bow to anybody.
As Nancy Reagan said, we don't curtsy to the Queen of England.
We don't bow to the Emperor of Japan.
And we certainly don't bow to the totalitarians in China that want to destroy our country.
And yes, they want to destroy America.
Quick break more with Gordon Chang on the other side, some of the other news of the day.
And we'll get to your calls, 800-941-Sean, our number.
Hey there, I'm Mary Catherine Hamm.
And I'm Carol Markowitz.
We've been in political media for a long time.
Long enough to know that it's gotten, well, a little insane.
That's why we started Normally, a podcast for people who are over the hysteria and just want clarity.
We talk about the issues that actually matter to the country without panic, without yelling, and with a healthy dose of humor.
We don't take ourselves too seriously, but we do take the truth seriously.
So if you're into common sense, sanity, and some occasional sass.
You're our kind of people.
Catch new episodes of Normally every Tuesday and Thursday.
On the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you listen.

When news gives you eyes, Hannity supplies the truth.
John Hannity is on right now.
Now, you know, a company is looking out for you when they actually upgrade your service and then don't charge you for it.
This is great news for new and current Pure Talk customers.
PureTalk just added data to every single plan, and they're now including mobile hotspot with every plan and no price increase at all whatsoever.
Now, if you've not made the switch yet to Pure Talk, now is the time.
For 20 bucks a month, you're going to get unlimited talk, unlimited text, and 50% more 5G data and mobile hotspot, and it's only 20 bucks a month.
Now, this is why I love Pure Talk.
They use the same cell towers.
They use the same exact 5G network as the big carriers.
And the average family saves close to $1,000 a year from this veteran-owned company with a customer service team that will make your Switch fast, simple, and easy.
Just dial pound250.
Say the keyword, save now.
Do it now.
You save an additional 50% off your first month.
Pound250, keyword save now from Pure Talk, and you won't regret it.
All right, we continue now with Gordon Chang, the threat that is China and this new axis of evil.
And why is the Biden administration turning a blind eye to all their hostile and aggressive actions towards our country?
Why is it that, yeah, and I know you wrote this best-selling book, The Coming Collapse of China.
And interestingly, I've read a story in thought of you this weekend that China is in worse economic shape than anybody knows.
I'm not so sure I believe that.
However, every move they're making is an aggressive one towards us.
That is just a simple fact that is ⁇ that's not in dispute.
That is not in dispute.
And I think the problems inside of China are making China even more aggressive, and they're certainly accelerating the timetable.
You know, if the Chinese felt confident that they would dominate or even rule the entire planet, and by the way, Sean, they don't want to just dominate.
They want to rule the entire planet as the only sovereign state.
Now, if they were confident about that, they would just sort of wait us out.
But the point is, I think that the internal problems in China now are so severe.
It's not just the economy.
It's a lot of other things.
And we see that because of all these Chinese migrants coming across our southern border.
I think that's forced.
Are they coming across the southern border for a better life?
Are they coming here as spies and potentially, you know, intel experts that are here to wreak havoc on this country?
Because we've watched a dramatic increase in in China purchasing farmland.
ranch land, land near military installations?
The Daily Caller had this story about mysterious investors behind a billion-dollar land purchase near a key Air Force base.
Why do I suspect China might be behind that?
We haven't proven that, but I'd like to know who was behind it.
Yes.
Well, the answer to your question is both.
Most of the Chinese migrants are basically middle-class Chinese who have given up on China.
And we know they're middle-class because they're wealthy enough to pay $35,000 a head to the Mexican cartels.
But in that are groups of Chinese males traveling in packs of 5 to 15.
They are unaccompanied with family members.
They are of military age.
Some are known to have links to the Chinese military.
And they pretend to not speak English.
And we also know that some of them are performing rituals that are common among Chinese military soldiers, like drinking blood of freshly killed animals.
These are saboteurs.
On the first day of war involving China in Asia, we're going to have these guys.
They're going to be assassinating our officials.
They're going to be blowing up our power stations, poisoning our water, starting wildfires, detonating bombs in shopping centers to terrorize the American people.
War is going to be fought on American soil.
This will be the first time since the War of 1812 that Americans will have had to deal with an invasion in America itself.
And the Biden administration is not tracking these suspicious penalties.
Do you believe this is a matter of if, or do you think this is when?
Do you think it's possible, but not likely, or more than likely it's going to happen, and it would happen here?
Yeah, it's extremely probable.
You know, I don't agree with Henry Kissinger on anything, but I did happen to say that.
I like Henry Kissinger, but he's literally 100 years old.
He's literally 100 years old.
And on June 7th, he gave an interview in which he said that war between China and the United States is, quote-unquote, probable.
Kissinger is saying that.
I would say extremely probable.
It's going to happen, Sean, unless the Biden administration changes its policies.
And I don't see that happening.
So we are at one of those points where China is thinking it's war.
Russia is at war.
And we believe we're at peace.
And that puts us in mortal danger.
What is the lesson, the one lesson that I agreed with with the 9-11 Commission report is, quote, they were at war with us and we were not at war with them.
Is that a similar scenario?
Absolutely.
You know, Xi Jinping is not only implementing the fastest military buildup since the Second World War, he's trying to sanction-proof his regime.
He is stockpiling grain.
Do you actually think that they would invade the United States?
Are we looking at a Pearl Harbor-like moment in our future?
Yes.
And the reason is that it is Chinese military doctrine, from all we can tell, to hit American bases in Okinawa and in Guam.
Guam is sovereign American territory.
They believe that we're going to be in a war anyway, so they've got to go after us on the first day to take us out.
So we are going to get hit.
If there's a war in Asia.
They do know that we'll hit them back with nuclear weapons, don't they?
I think that they, you know, they might not think so.
Their doctrine is to threaten to use their nuclear weapons so that we stand down.
And so this is basically Russian doctrine.
Well, that's Russian roulette.
I mean, because the American people won't tolerate it.
I could tell you right now, if you want to unite this country that is as divided as it is, nuke the United States and then watch public opinion surveys go to 90 plus percent in one direction.
Yeah, if they actually hit us with nukes, but they will, first of all, threaten to hit us because they believe that the Biden administration will stand down.
This is Russian doctrine as well.
And I believe that once they start, they will eventually use their nukes, in fact.
So you're absolutely right.
It will unite the American people 99%.
But at that time, we're going to have a lot of dead Americans.
So the idea would be to deter China before this happens.
And unfortunately, the Biden administration is making war more likely by trying to make nice to China.
And we saw this, Sean, right after the spy balloon, because right after.
Not that nothing happened, Gordon.
Nothing.
We did nothing except platitudes, bumper stickers, and slogans.
I wish I had more time.
Gordon, it's always chilling to talk to you.
This topic, pay attention.
This matters.
This is likely on our watch.
Gordon Chang, thank you.
800-941, Sean, if you want to be a part of the program, I'm just up on the clock.
I apologize.
Hear the mainstream press talking about this stuff.
Sean Hannity is on the radio.
Hi, 25 to the top of the hour.
Thank you for being with us.
We'll get to your calls here in a minute.
Linda, you probably did not hear this.
There is a bill in the Democratic legislature out in California that would mandate judges consider race when doling out prison sentences.
Didn't we just have a, correct me if I'm wrong, didn't we just have a Supreme Court decision that you cannot use race for admissions to universities, but now you're going to use race as a consideration when you give out prison sentences?
So two people can commit the same crime, but if you're of a particular race, you're likely to get a lighter sentence.
Does that sound fair to you?
Honestly, Sean, I am appalled at what is happening.
I have never seen such racism in my lifetime on this planet.
It's beyond the pale.
So I didn't tell you this story.
This happened before my 4th of July week vacation.
And I was in a restaurant.
I was having a meeting one day.
And I'm sitting in a very quiet part of the restaurant.
And you know the rapper 50 Cent?
Oh, yeah.
Do you know he has his own champagne?
Did you ever see the bottle of that?
I have not.
I will send it to you.
He sent me over a bottle of this to keep, to take home.
I can't drink.
I had to do a TV show.
By the way, that would be an interesting show.
I actually think it would be a really, really good send-off.
Anyway, so out in Los Angeles now, they are once again considering this idiocy of no bail, zero bail policy out there.
And you know what he said?
Watch how bad it gets.
I'll send you this.
You can tweet out the picture of the champagne that he gave me.
And so I wanted to go over and say thank you, which I think would be the right thing to do and introduce myself.
But he had already left, unfortunately.
That was very nice of him.
It was really nice.
And it is the coolest bottle I've ever seen in my life.
I mean, the coolest bottle ever.
It's got a big cross on the front of it in gold.
It's amazing.
I will never open that bottle of champagne because I want to keep the bottle.
No, the bottle's beautiful.
You can drink it still and keep the bottle.
You know that, right?
I mean, if you want me to help you, I'm happy to help.
No, no, thanks.
I don't need help in that department.
Just making sure.
Washington Post.
Come back.
It's, you know, good.
Declares that car tires are bad.
Why tires, not tailpipes, are spewing more pollution from your cars and the wear and tear on vehicles and tires and brakes emit fine particles.
I'm telling you, we're going to be back on horseback any day now.
We're riding bicycles everywhere.
These bicycles are.
It goes back to your whole point.
You know, this whole World Economic Forum, global citizen, this is what you have to do.
You know, if you read the tenets of what it is to be a global citizen as it's put out by the United Nations, it's only, it's under 20 pages.
It says right in their tenure, right in their tenets of what makes it.
It says they don't give a crap about your rights.
They don't care about your rights.
They don't care about citizen rights.
They don't care about individualism.
It's all about the greater good.
Listen, we played this earlier, and this is Joe Biden, you know, saying that it's the United States of America that we're to blame for the world's pollution.
And we have to spend, we have to give away billions of dollars.
Billions of dollars, he said in this interview.
I'll play it again.
I've been pushing very hard to get our European colleagues to invest in infrastructure in Africa, in South America, and to generate the kind of growth that they should have and could have because we're the ones that cause the environmental problems.
We clear-cut everything.
And now we're telling them, no, everybody slow up.
Anyway, that's the news from Lake Woba Gone.
But this is where we're now heading.
I mean, this is bad.
800-941-Sean, our number, if you want to be a part of the program.
All right, let's get to our busy phones.
Greg in Florida, Greg, Free State of Florida.
What's going on, sir?
How are you?
Hey, Greg, Sean.
Nice to talk to you.
I had a question, maybe a comment about the cocaine thing at the White House.
I was under the impression that government officials have mandatory drug tests.
I'm not sure.
I know police, military, EMS, firefighters, they all probably have mandatory drug tests to find out a few things.
But also, if Hunter really wanted to quell some of the suspicions, submit to a drug test.
And I would think that the judge would have had that in his plea deal.
Let me tell you something right now.
That, you know, these idiots that are out there, you know, suggesting and defending Hunter from the White House cocaine story.
Remember what they said?
Well, you know, Hunter was in 2018, he was saying these things about Joe Biden and implicating my father sitting here next to me.
Remember, we had those WhatsApp messages?
My father's sitting here now, you didn't keep your side of the deal.
And let me tell you something.
Every person he knows will be coming after you.
And my wrath and my anger and my memory is long.
And I'm like, oh, well, remember, he was on drugs at the time.
So that was 20, what, 17?
Okay, it's only 2023.
Did you ever see the pictures?
I'll show you.
I'm going to do what the media won't do.
I'll show you the picture of Hunter Biden's, it was from his laptop, I believe, but him with his teeth.
You know, there's a condition that's called crack teeth.
Linda, you know what I'm talking about, right?
Where they use so much crack, people's teeth completely deteriorate down to little nubs in their mouth.
And that happened to him.
You got to be using a lot of crack to get to that condition.
A lot.
So listen, I feel for people with addiction.
I know people with addiction.
And I know people that have overcome addiction.
I know people that will never overcome addiction.
I noticed Heather Locklear is going to go to rehab.
She's 61 years old for the 21st time.
I'm like, that's a person that never got over her addiction issues.
And then you look at, say, Elton John just finished his farewell tour.
You know, he gave up, you know, drinking or whatever.
He was doing it, you know, many, many decades ago and never looked back.
And there's so many people I know that have given up addiction to things.
But then there are those that do not.
A relapse would not be out of the question.
It's not easy to get into the location in the White House where the cocaine was found.
Yeah, he's my number one suspect.
I'll say what they're too afraid to say.
Appreciate the call, my friend.
Kevin in Alabama.
What's up, Kevin?
How are you?
I'm Mr. Kennedy.
What's going on, sir?
Glad you called.
No, I just wanted to, I hate the fact that we think it's conspiracies happening in America.
You know, that's something that happens in foreign countries.
You read about it in books, whatnot.
But here, the stone oven, I mean, the wood-fired oven in New York, I don't think that's necessarily about the environment.
I think it's control.
I think it's the government saying is to put you in the mindset that I can do what I want and you're going to tolerate it.
Same with the shot.
It's not about the shot.
They knew it wouldn't work.
It's about you're going to take what I take, what I give you, and you're going to deal with it.
The rioters.
See, the thing that bothers me the most about the shot is they said it with such certainty.
You take this shot, Joe Biden saying it over and over again.
You know, you're never going to get COVID.
You're never going to infect someone else with COVID.
You know what?
They didn't know that.
It was experimental from day one.
You know what?
I'm taking a little of your time.
I will say one of the best decisions I ever made in my life, and it was not a hard one, is not to tell this audience what to do and what decision to make.
And I just urge people to be careful, take it seriously, talk to your doctors, do your research, because I am in no position to tell you what to do or not do with your body.
It's the same thing with the rioters and looters when they took over the cities.
I don't think it was about safety or mental health or social this.
It's about I'm telling you to tolerate this and you will tolerate it.
Once you get people into that mindset, you're basically, I mean, it's the doorway to socialism, communism.
You will do what the government tells you to do, and that's it.
I just think they're gearing you for that mindset.
There's no doubt that this groupthink pressure is real.
We see it now in our schools.
We see parents deathly afraid to speak up against the curriculum they know is not in sync with their values.
They see our educational system failing.
You know, they don't want to be investigated as domestic terrorists.
There's a lot of intimidation factors going on out there, and a lot of people are afraid.
And, you know, and they're not paranoid for good reason.
Anyway, my friend, thank you.
800-941 Sean R. number, Barbara, Maryland, our friend Barbara.
How are you, Barbara?
I hope you had a good fourth.
I did.
I did.
I started it out in Pickens, South Carolina, July 1st.
I was at the rally.
Oh, my goodness.
They said it was 50,000 people up town, you showed it was 75 to 100,000.
I can't believe it was only 50,000.
I actually watched that rally.
I thought it was amazing, you know.
Yeah, no, I mean.
100% in that town.
The people in that town, a population of 3,300 people, everybody in that town made money.
They were selling parking space.
They were selling lemonade, Kool-Aid, water.
They had all these stands all over the place selling Trump gear.
They had fireworks that night.
They had live bands.
They rolled it out for such a small town.
And I know the economy.
It helped that town so, so very much.
And now Pickens is going to be on the map.
They even had a t-shirt.
I attended the rally.
It sounds like Woodstock.
Did they make any announcements not to take the brown asset or the green asset?
I'm kidding.
But go ahead.
No, no.
None of that.
But yes, I'm having a great time.
I'm still in Savannah.
I started traveling down.
Oh, Savannah is Savannah's beautiful.
Tybee Island, that area.
I love it.
Great.
Well, I didn't go out to Tybee.
I was on River Street last night.
It's just beautiful.
And to see all the people just out and, you know, about, there was no grabbing, smashing and all that.
A lot of people carrying, they have carry here.
People carry guns here.
You know, you're not going to go into somebody's shop and smash anything and grab anything because you will be shot on the spot.
But it's wonderful here.
But I've got, I'm so happy you took my call because you were talking about China.
They are on the move.
And I think we better be very, very much aware of that because Joe Biden is not aware of it.
And Janet Yellen just made me so embarrassed.
I mean, to bow three times and all that sort of stuff.
If she was embarrassed, why did she do it?
No, I was embarrassed.
I was embarrassed watching.
I'm with you.
I was like, oh, I just can't take it.
I'm getting to the point where I can't take it.
I'm like, I'm going to have a coronary over this that's driving me so nuts.
Well, the cocaine definitely belongs to Hannah.
It was either the drop from his deal.
Well, we don't know if it belongs to him, but he's certainly a top suspect.
That's all I'm saying.
He is a top suspect.
But I've got to ask you this.
What color bottle of champagne did 50 Cent send you?
White or white?
It should be up on Twitter now.
Linda, did you post it?
Yeah, Linda's posting it.
It is the coolest looking bottle I've ever seen in my life.
But I'm not, and I'm not like the biggest champagne guy in the world.
Well, this is good stuff.
It looks like a chalice is on the front and it protrudes off like a silver.
The chalice with a cross on top is from the bottom of the bottle up to a little bit above the middle of the bottle.
Then it's got this beautiful silver and gold.
You know how you take the wrapping off to get to the cork.
Well, I just wanted you to know, it looks like he must have sent you the one that's $989.99 a bottle.
Is that true?
Yes.
And the prices range from one, what's the cheapest?
The cheapest.
I'm glad I didn't let Linda see it.
She would have drank the whole thing.
I still intend to get to that.
I think that you should be not getting to that bottle.
That bottle is.
I'm not going to get in that bottle.
I'll just put it in my safe then if you want to.
Barbara, you know me.
Who do you think is going to get to that bottle?
Me or Sean?
Me.
I put her in the middle.
Poor Barbara.
Well, you know, I just want to let you know that Jamar is working this summer for the state.
He's just doing very well.
He's got one more year of school.
And I'm looking forward to that.
But I'm just having a great time down here.
I had some Gator bites.
Have you ever eaten?
I'm not into Gator.
I'll pass.
Me either.
I didn't think I was either.
One of the funniest moments of my life.
I'm in West Monroe, Louisiana, with the Duck Dynasty crowd.
And the patriarch, you know, just goes, Hannity, you want to fill?
He goes, You want to get them ratings up?
Come on out.
I'm going to baptize you in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit and our Lord Jesus.
And I said, I wouldn't mind you baptizing me.
I'm all, I believe I'm there.
I said, but if you think I'm going out in that swamp where I've watched your show and alligators come out of, that ain't happening.
I got to run, Barbara.
We love you.
All right, that's going to wrap things up for today.
Tonight, Hannity, we have the latest on the Biden debacle of cocaine of the White House.
Why is it taking so long to get to the bottom of this?
Why am I suspicious as per usual?
I guess because the what, FBI is in the pocket of the Bidens and the DOJ is in the pocket of the Bidens.
Anyway, well, full coverage of all of that: the bad state of the economy, the liberal media now turning on the Bidens.
Ari Fleischer, Kaylee McEnany, Miranda Devine, Lindsey Graham, Sarah Carter, Horace Cooper, Charlie Arnold, and Tommy Laron and Jason Rance all coming up.
Set you DVR.
Hannity, 9 Eastern, Fox News.
See you tonight.
Back here tomorrow.
Thank you for making this show possible.
