This is an iHeart Podcast.
Coming up next, our final news roundup and information overload hour.
All right, news roundup and information overload hour.
Tollfree, it's 800 941 Sean, if you want to be a part of the program this Friday.
Um during COVID, you might recall we did report on this uh that the very powerful teachers unions uh had a major, major impact on a lot of states, and what the policies were that they adopted in terms of kids going back to school in the middle of a pandemic.
Remember, at the time we kind of knew that the that children were not vulnerable to getting that sick and dying.
I'm not saying there weren't isolated cases, but this was this was a virus that was killing older people.
Again, there were exceptions, but mostly killed in older people, people with comorbidities and and pre-existing conditions, etc.
etc.
Now, the free state of Florida, their schools opened.
Remember, it started in early 2020.
Their schools opened full time in August of 2020.
And Ron DeSantis got the crap beat out of them, and he made the right decision.
He made the right call, in-person learning, and other states waited what, another two years for crying out loud.
It was ridiculous.
But I've often talked about this unholy alliance between teachers' unions and the Democratic Party, and it simply comes down to money because the rank and file teacher has to pay union dues, and led by the powerful uh Randy Weigarton, who testified before Congress earlier this week.
Um they they are all in to help every single Democrat.
So this way, standards in education will will never be forthcoming.
I mean, it is the single greatest failure ever in terms of wasted money and no accomplishments.
There's no benefit to your kids going to so many different school districts around the country, and it's sad because we're robbing these kids of their opportunity to learn, and learning and education is the ladder to success, especially when you have a world economy, and unfortunately, a lot of these kids in bad school districts, then they're not learning anything.
You know, the they're in violent environments, they don't even want to go to school, teachers aren't teaching, or they're indoctrinating them into you know gender identity issues, and I have a whole bunch of them I'll get to later.
But it's it's sad what is happening here.
Um anyway, the American Federation of Teachers we now know is more deeply involved with the CDC, and in terms of uh school reopening guidance from February 2021 than previously known.
Randy Weingarten was before Congress, and anyway, AFT president testifying that we knew remote education was not a substitute for closing schools, she said, and then she testified that the teachers union proposed ideas to the CDCs.
This is all nonsense.
Let me play these uh two cuts first.
We spent every day from February on trying to get schools open.
We knew that remote education was not a substitute for opening schools, but we also knew that people had to be safe.
And maybe it's because I live in New York City.
I live near a hospital.
Every other minute there was uh ambulance.
There was terror.
Our members were terrified, others were terrified.
And what we were simply looking for was clear scientific guidance, and when we couldn't get it, we did it ourselves, and we worked with doctors and we worked at others, and we just tried to get it out there.
So again, yes or no, but did AFT ever provide suggested revisions to the CDC's operational strategy regarding school closures or reopenings?
Did you suggest revisions to their operational strategy?
What we suggested, sir, was ideas.
They asked us for ideas.
The letter to the subcommittee said that the AFT proposed a handful of edits to the operational strategy.
Is that right?
We provok what what happened was there was one particular edit that they accepted.
There were several different ideas that we proposed.
Okay.
Why did they have any say at all whatsoever?
What experience of medicine do they have?
You know, I've said this before.
The amount of pressure brought to bear on yours truly on radio and TV to tell you what to do with the vaccine and how to handle COVID was enormous.
Everybody wanted me to tell my listeners, my viewers, what they should do.
Now, I'm not a doctor.
I don't I don't know a thing about your current medical condition.
I don't I know nothing of your medical history.
Uh and I don't know what the right decision for you would be except to take it seriously, talk to your doctor, you know, read as much information as you can, and then make the decision yourself.
And you know, we the one thing I did say is if you get COVID, you get a positive test, you know, go to your doctor, talk to your doctor, ask your doctor about monoclonal antibodies or other therapeutics that might be helpful.
I didn't say to say call your doc I didn't say call your doctor and say I want monoclonal antibodies.
But I did tell some people that, but they were only close friends or family members because I really believe that was the only uh uh therapeutic that I really had any faith in, uh, although some of the others, you know, might have we now know HCQ did mitigate some of the symptoms according to numerous studies.
Anyway, Aaron uh With is with us.
He's with the Freedom Foundation, he's the CEO, and he's been speaking out loudly against Biden's, you know, ill chosen uh nominee uh for labor secretary, uh Julie Sue and Caitlin Sutherland, executive director of Americans for Public Trust.
Her group, by the way, blew the whistle on Randy Weingarten, uh dictating the bogus COVID school policy to the CDC.
Caitlin, I'll start with you because that's where I started.
Uh we know for a fact this happened.
Absolutely.
I mean, it doesn't get more clear than when you have the evidence of email traffic between the teachers' unions and the CDC.
And I think all of your listeners should ask is why does that email traffic exist in the first place?
Why were teachers' unions even given the opportunity to not alone suggest line by line items at it, but they were accepted into so-called scientific guidance.
And now we know that that school guidance did nothing from opening schools.
Randy White Garden just keeps lying and lying about her responsibilities.
It's amazing how how tied together they are at the hip, uh, Aaron with I mean teachers unions and the Democratic Party.
Um, and it's all about money.
I call it an an unholy alliance.
I mean, you can look at public schools, especially in big cities, that they're in a mitigated disaster.
You know, you have what almost twenty public schools in Baltimore.
They pay more per I think they're second in terms of per capita spending per student annually, and they have not a single high school student proficient in reading and math.
I mean, how do you fail at that level and and still do business with that kind of union?
We are failing our children, but they're getting rich in the process.
Yeah, and you recognize it, Sean.
The problem is these unions are in control of our public education today.
For decades they've spent millions and billions of dollars getting liberal politicians elected that will go in and do their bidding.
That was part of the problem, by the way, uh with what Randy Weingotton was saying uh on Capitol Hill uh on Wednesday was that oh, she was simply advising the CDC of this guidance.
But you said it earlier.
Governors like Ron DeSantis were opening up their schools.
It was the liberal governors across the country in liberal states, uh New York, the West Coast, Illinois, for example, those were the s those were the uh governors that were listening to Randy Weingon, those are the ones that control her, and those are the ones that were shutting down our schools.
And for context, it's not just like they were shutting down schools that you know learning loss went slightly down.
You talk about kids' mental health, you talk about the losses in in their education and their future earnings.
It's in the trillions of dollars, Sean.
Uh and she is directly responsible for this.
The question is, how do we ever break this this hold, this unholy alliance that exists and get people in there that really would put the education of our kids as their first priority?
Yeah, the the answer to that is simple.
What we're seeing across America today is hundreds of thousands of teachers that are opting out of their unions to stop paying union dues.
I mean, your average teacher pays about eleven hundred dollars a year in union dues.
Most of that money is going to elect liberal uh political candidates.
Brandon Johnson, the new mayor of Sh the incoming mayor of Chicago.
95% of his campaign funds came from uh government unions.
If you put this money back in the pockets of workers and out of the pockets of radical union bosses, you will change the uh political makeup in America for good.
You want to comment on that, uh, Caitlin?
How do we break this whole this powerful alliance, unholy alliance between teachers' unions, and politicians?
Yeah, you know, I think you know, it is always simple.
Follow the money.
And we know that the two largest teachers' unions spent over 40 million dollars to elect Joe Biden and Democrats in 2020.
And what happened after they spent tens of millions of dollars?
Well, the Biden transition team, Randy admitted in front of Congress, turned to her union to help write the guidance on school reopenings.
So again, it is just you know insane to see teachers' unions influence this so-called scientific agency.
But if we keep file following the money, and if we, you know, keep catching this email traffic, finally, hopefully, uh, you know, I think people are really waking up to the damage that her union did.
No one believed a word of what she said in front of Congress on Wednesday that she had been fighting to open the school from the very beginning.
In fact, she keeps tweeting that was her position, but you know, Twitter knows better, and she keeps getting a community note on what she is trying to now rewrite history on her role with the school at reopening.
Quick break more with Aaron With and Caitlin Sutherland on the other side, this unholy alliance teachers unions and the Democratic Party.

This is the Sean Hannity Show.
All right, more on the Unholy Alliance with teachers' unions and of course the Democratic Party.
Uh we continue with Aaron Wyth and Caitlin Sutherland.
Let me ask you if I can, Aaron With, uh, all right, so you've been loudly speaking out against Biden's uh labor secretary's uh choice, uh, and that happens to be this uh woman, Julie Sue.
Uh we did some research on her, and apparently her leadership as the California labor secretary, Uh billions of dollars were lost.
Is that true to fraud?
Uh I read that she oversaw a disastrous minimum wage hike, which wreaked havoc on the state's economy, uh boosting retail prices, making the goal of home home ownership for so many people in California then unattainable.
Is that all true?
Yeah, it is.
And doesn't that make her the perfect candidate to be finance labor secretary?
I mean, his whole administration so far has prided themselves on failing the American people, wasting tax dollars and being tools of government duties.
You mentioned it.
The highlights of her career so far has been as the Secretary of Labor in California, where the three things that I know that she achieved is she sent full Social Security numbers to millions of wrong addresses in California.
She managed to squander between thirty and forty billion dollars in government pandemic pandemic aid to inmates and scam artists, who knows where that money is today.
And then she delayed uh benefits to over five million Californians who actually needed that aid.
I mean, Julie Sue is unfit to run a daycare center, let alone the Federal Government's Department of Labor.
But it shouldn't surprise anybody uh that uh she's been nominated for this.
Unbelievable.
Uh anyway, you want to weigh in, Caitlin, I'll give you the last word here.
Yeah, I think this nomination is just another example of the Biden administration either picking or turning to, you know, the wrong individuals for the wrong roles.
You know, here we have you know Pete Boudaj leading the Department of Transportation, and it's an absolute failure.
We have uh, you know, Biden administration, you know, CDC turning to the teachers' union.
So time and time again, we see a series of missteps of turning to the wrong people and selecting the wrong people for the very important roles uh that you know that America needs, and it's just a series of failures from this administration.
Well, we appreciate both of you being with us, Aaron Wyth and Caitlin Sutherland, thank you.
Appreciate your time.
And you know, for all you parents out there, now I do know that there are good teachers.
I know that there are good school districts, but I also know that there are horrible school districts.
I know that there's violence in many schools, drugs in many schools, you have indoctrination in many schools.
You know, I I I get a package every day from Sweet Baby James, and it's just on issues involving the woke.
You know, we can talk more about it in the next half hour, but you know, now the Biden administration has come out in favor of sex change operations for minors.
The Department of Justice filed the lawsuit yesterday challenging Tennessee's newly enacted law that bans transgender medical procedures for children, arguing that the legislation violates the 14th Amendment, the Equal Protection Clause.
Um, but anyway, in a press release, the DOJ is also asking the court to issue an immediate order to stop the law.
Uh so that's where their head is at.
Uh a Vermont Elementary School will now refer to boys as persons who produce sperm.
One teacher caught berating a child uh who objected to LBGTQ lessons with a severe threat.
Quote, you have no choice.
And in Loudoun County, which I told you, parents now have to speak out because they don't like all gender uh bathrooms instead of having boys' rooms and girls' rooms.
Anyway, we'll get into a little more of that on the other side.
800-941-SEAN.
Our number if you want to be a part of the program this Friday.
Bye.
America.
This is the Sean Hannity Show.
All right, 25 now to the top of the hour this Friday, 800, 941 Sean, if you want to be a part of the program.
Uh look, students across the country now, as you all know, graduating from colleges and universities.
Uh our favorite college, Hillsdale College, is a place that offers the best classical liberal arts education in America.
Don't take the word liberal out of context here.
Uh when these students graduate, they have studied all of the great books throughout history.
They have studied the history of Western uh civilization.
They have studied the history of this great country, this great republic, America.
Uh, they have studied the meaning in the history of our Constitution.
Hillsdale College, founded in eighteen forty-four to offer the kind of education that is needed to preserve and protect civil and religious liberty, and they hold true to that mission this very day, and they refuse even to accept one penny of any taxpayer funding, not even indirectly in the form of a student grant or a student loan.
Now, Hillsdale students abide also by an honor code, and that ensures a unity of purpose.
It fosters lively civil, intelligent debate.
And the best part is you can learn from Hillsdale for free.
You can get their monthly speech digest called in Primus delivered to your house, and you can also take, you know, this 30 summer choices online courses for free.
C. S. Lewis, American History, the Constitution, you know, pick the one that most interests you.
Anyway, check it out yourself.
We have a special website set up.
It's Sean for Hillsdale.com.
That's S E A N F O R Hillsdale.com, and you won't regret it.
And you know what?
Maybe take a course, you know, one in the summer, one in the fall, one in the winter, one in the spring.
You can take four courses in a year.
You get your own degree.
Uh 800-941 Sean if you want to be a part of the program.
So I started to mention these articles that are out there.
And I, you know, I I never thought that I'd ever hear in Congress, can you please define a woman?
And then the person that is the head of, you know, whatever department or what a secretary of whatever department, they can't answer the question.
Uh I never thought I'd hear a question in Congress.
Is it possible for biological men to bear children and the head of the department, whatever department it happens to be, they can't answer the question.
I never thought I'd hear a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms uh head not being able to describe what an assault weapon is.
I never thought that would be possible, but that's the world we live in.
I never thought that we'd have our federal government now fighting to enable minors to have sex change operations because that's what they're now doing.
I think kids are way too young to make such a life-altering decision as that.
And by the way, Caitlin Jenner agrees with me on this.
And anyway, the here we have a Department of Justice lawsuit filed yesterday challenging Tennessee's newly enacted law banning transgender medical procedures for children, arguing that it violates the Fourteenth Amendment Equal Protection Clause, and in a press release, the DOJ said that it also asked the court to issue an immediate order to stop the law, Senate Bill or SB1 from going forward and taking effect.
I mean, this was signed into law by the Tennessee governor, uh Bill Lee on March the second.
It bans health providers from performing medical procedures on minors for the purpose of either enabling a minor to identify with or live as a purportedly identity inconsistent with the minor sex.
I mean, you think that's a decision that should be made when one becomes an adult.
You know, experts tell you that, especially in the case of young men, that their brains don't even fully form until the 24-25.
I mean, that's what they tell you.
Then in Vermont, there was a story, a local story up there, in a case that uh I didn't think would happen again.
And Linda, you can weigh in on any time because you keep rolling your eyes like crazy.
I see you, but you know, these are these are issues you're gonna have to deal with.
I did not have to deal with this when my kids are in school, thank goodness.
Uh, but anyway, they there's an elementary school in the state of Vermont.
They issued a circular uh I guess I guess they issued a statement, they call it a circular in this W I O N news report, uh, stating that it will no longer be using words such as male, boy, girl, or female while teaching fifth grade students about human reproductive systems and puberty.
Now, the principal of the founders memorial school sent a letter to parents last week where she announced the removal of the said words and adopting, quote, a gender inclusive language, quote, in an effort to align our curriculum with the equity policy, teachers will be using gender inclusive language throughout the unit, and with any differences, we strive to use person first language as the best practice.
And, you know, that was in the note to parents, quote, We will be using the following language with students.
I can't even read it.
It's so nuts.
We will be using the following language with students.
Persons who produce sperm in place stop laughing.
You make it brutal for me.
Persons who produce sperm in place of boy and male and assigned at male birth.
Then persons who produce eggs in place of girl, female, and assigned female at birth, it added.
Linda, you have a seven-year-old son.
I tell you, I I'm having a real hard time.
I mean, you know what's funny?
I was saying to somebody this morning, I was actually getting my teeth cleaned.
And um by the way, definitely needed it.
Oh, yeah, listen, it was it last night at your show.
I mean, I didn't even want to smile.
I was like, God forbid the American public.
Well, I got to introduce Linda and friends of hers and that special Romeo guy.
By the way, I stopped the show on a couple of occasions during the break.
I told them, could you please, you know, separate a little bit?
A little too handsy.
By the way, did I not do that?
It's hysterical.
And the people behind us were like, it's fine, it's perfect.
We love it.
It was historical.
Did they say that to you?
Of course.
People are listening to it.
They think I was being serious?
Of course not.
Nobody knew nobody thought you were serious.
I tell you what, though, you almost nailed me in the head a few times with that dang football.
I'm not gonna lie.
I was like, oh my god.
Instead of putting your hands out to catch it, you like, you know, Oh, I like push it away.
I'm like, no, no.
What's wrong with that?
Because I'm not gonna catch it.
All right, let me go back to the story.
Why am I laughing when there's nothing funny about this?
You know what it is?
It's so absurd.
But my point in bringing up my dentist appointment was we were talking this morning, and she was saying you were talking to the street.
We were talking this listen, she's from Brooklyn, we were talking.
So um, and she was saying to me, you know, I can't even imagine having kids today in this environment, like where, you know, instead of being inclusive of everyone, which was what they claim to want, now nobody's a girl, nobody's a boy, nobody can have a title.
It's like, well, what if I identify as a girl?
I can't say I'm a girl, or I can't say my son is a boy.
Like, who are you to talk to my child and try to take them to the side and say you're first of all, you better not say the word sperm in front of my seven-year-old because I'm gonna lose it.
It's gonna it's just gonna be a hot mess.
So don't even do that.
You might as well get used to it now.
Oh, I'm not getting used to nothing.
This is where parents need to unify.
Your s your son will now be identified, not as a boy, but as a person who produces sperm.
I'll tell you right now.
The first person that says anything like that.
All right, be careful.
Oh, I'm curious.
It's not a warning, it's a promise.
It's a very different thing.
Oh, gosh.
I'm gonna tell you right now.
Jesus help us name.
Jesus is trust me, he is on our side.
He is like, yeah, I'm pretty sure that work of art, that beautiful child I created.
I wonder if they're gonna go back to the Bible where where it talks in Genesis about God created man in his own image and women, uh they're gonna do a woke version of the Bible.
They probably have done it already, and I have no idea.
So last night at your show, did you see that guy who gave you the paperwork?
They handed out all that stuff at his church.
And it was all this woke stuff that he had at his church.
And he said, I couldn't believe that we were doing this divisiveness in a place where we're supposed to be learning about unity in Christ and how we're all the same and we can sort of come together on this one issue.
And I think at the end of the day, what is happening, and this is another interesting point, it's kind of like what happened in Michigan, where like Buddhist, Muslims, Christians, you know, gay, straight, single parents, you know, divorced parents, you know, married parents, whatever it was, all got together and agreed.
Let me let me cut to the chase here.
So instead instead of saying boy, like for example, young man, get over here.
You can't say that.
Young person that produces sperm, yeah.
You come over here.
Is that what's gonna happen?
Or uh excuse me, instead of saying young woman or or girl, uh, get over here.
You're in trouble.
Uh, you young person that produces eggs, come over here.
I mean, is that what they're gonna do in school?
I mean, I didn't even know about any until what was it?
I don't know, eighth grade, ninth grade.
I mean, if somebody said to me, person who produces eggs, like, I don't know what you see, I'm not a chicken, have a nice day.
Like, I don't it's just not a thing.
Like, if we just didn't talk about that.
We had other things.
I got another story.
So there is a parent that had lodged a formal complaint with a school in uh the UK regarding a lecture during which the teacher told students that they would would be dealt with severely if they dare object to being instructed in LGBTQ relationships, and the de uh the complaint came after the students secretly recorded their teacher.
It's at the uh stationers, Crown Woods Academy in London.
Anyway, as he berated anyone who would speak out against the LGBTQ curriculum, uh, and the teacher unidentified suggested that he identifies with the LGBTQ community and uh explain to students how he is a good human being and that anyone who objects to his instruction is effectively violating British values by claiming that they do not value him.
The school has also recently conducted LGBTQ promoting events that include pride flags and badges, etc.
And by the way, the teacher said uh to the kids that were unhappy and objecting, you don't have a choice.
Now that part bothers me.
Then a school was required, you know, a two California middle school teachers filed a federal lawsuit against school district administrators and the California Board of Education over policies they allege required them to deceive parents about their kids' gender identity.
So now they're hiding it from the parents.
Now the Bud Light controversy continues.
Dylan Mulvaney thinks that it should be illegal for journalists to use the wrong pronouns.
Illegal?
I mean, you've got to be kidding me you're gonna be able to do that.
Well then he should be the first one arrested because he used his pronouns wrong for years till he figured it out.
So I don't know who he is to stand there and say that.
All right, but going back to this whole thing, you know, it used to be LGBTQ plus or you know, whatever.
I'm not in the business of wanting to offend people.
What adults choose to do in their own life, I'm not gonna I'm not gonna mind other people's business.
You know what?
In all truth, most people don't care what adults do.
You you're too fixated, focused on your own life, your own kids, your own family, your own job, dealing with Biden's economic policies, uh to worry about what other people are doing in the privacy of their bedroom or in their private lives.
That's that's up to them.
But to now insist that elementary school kids not be identified as boys and girls, excuse me, you young person that produces sperm, get over here.
I mean, this is nuts.
And I can't even keep up with it.
But I mean, I guess my bigger point and my bigger question is why?
Why is your sense of inclusiveness to change everything for everyone and be so uninclusive?
What exactly is your goal?
Because what you're doing is you're taking away a name that many people do identify with, and many families do feel comfortable with to appease and satisfy a group that is a much smaller percentage of the population, and who we've already said, sure, you we'll call you whatever you want, whatever name you want, whatever gender you want.
You could be whatever you want.
You want to walk around with a furry on your head and pretend like you're a kitty cat, good for you.
We'll call you a kitty cat.
I don't really care.
I just don't want you saying that crap to my kid.
That's all.
What is what is a furry on your head?
This is a real thing.
The kids are going to school and they got kids dressing up like animals.
There was that remember that.
Well, you know what?
You told me you told me that.
This is a true story.
I'm not kidding you.
I was at school the other day with my daughter, you know, and she's standing there.
These are teenagers, right?
She's dressed up head to toe as a cat.
And I looked over and she looked at me and she went, Meow.
And I just stared at her.
I really had nothing to say, because I don't speak to animals like that.
You know, they're animals.
Well, if I'm gonna identify as any animal, I'm gonna be a bald eagle.
Oh, yeah.
Okay.
What's the sound that bald eagles make?
Where are we taking this?
I don't know what sound they make, but I know they hover above everybody else, and then they swoop down, grab their food and fly up high, and nobody can get them.
So what are you saying?
You're saying you're better than everybody, you're higher than us all, you're hovering above.
Or a male lion.
I want to be in charge.
Well, well, you already are in charge most of the time, so that would be a perfect.
But I mean, this is a real thing.
The kid was dressed up.
You think I'm in charge of my kids, you know my kids.
I'm not in charge of anything.
You're totally in charge.
That's fake news.
Okay, that is not fake news.
You might not be in charge of your daughter just because she's like your heart and she gets whatever she wants.
Okay, no, I'm not in charge.
True or false.
Did both of my kids uh choose their colleges without even consulting me?
Yes or no.
I don't know that that's true for Pat.
A hundred percent.
He told me.
He he told me where he's going to school.
And I had to do that.
Yeah, but you guys had a lot of conversation about it.
It was over.
He told me.
Okay.
Your daughter 100%.
That is a completely accurate statement.
I don't remember.
She was being recruited.
She was an athlete and she was going to different schools.
She goes to this particular school.
The last words I give her when she's leaving, I go, do not commit until we'll talk about it when you get home.
Comes home.
Daddy, I committed.
I'm like, Yeah, that was code.
What did you tell me to do?
I'll do the opposite.
You don't know that rule yet?
Well, in a way, you know what?
It's their school, it's their college, it's their life, it's their experience.
And, you know, to be honest, I'm just kind of glad that I could provide them something that I didn't have myself.
Everyone speaks of their college years as the best years of their life.
I frankly hear their stories, and I like my life better.
I like the fact that I struggled.
I like the fact that I worked.
I like the fact that I had to grind it out.
I like the fact that I I learned how to run a business.
I like the fact that I had to struggle to pay rent.
I like that part of my life.
