All right, Hour 2, Sean Hannity Show, 800-941-SEAN.
Our number, you want to be a part of the program today.
You know, we don't think about this, but we have 31 trillion dollars in debt.
Joe Biden goes to the UN yesterday.
I'm gonna spend $369 billion on climate change.
And another $200 billion on the cost of food.
Now, the Senate is dealing with their spending bill right now.
The continuing resolution is what they call.
And we'll get to Senator Mike Lee of Utah in a minute, because he wants what's called a clean continuing resolution where they don't dump all this pork barrel spending into a bill.
And okay, I'll support your 400 million billion if you support my 300 billion, and we'll pass it now because all the pressure is to get spending so the government doesn't shut down.
I mean it's insanity.
Anyway, let's go to Biden yesterday at the UN.
Here's what he said.
I've signed a historic piece of legislation here in the United States that includes the biggest, most important climate commitment we have ever made in the history of our country.
369 billion dollars toward climate change.
That includes tens of billions in new investments in offshore wind and solar, doubling down on zero emission vehicles, increasing energy efficiency, supporting clean manufacturing.
Our department of energy estimates that this new law will reduce U.S. emissions by one gigaton a year by 2030.
It is impossible, as we've been talking about in the foreseeable future, we don't have the technology to get where they're forcing us to go at a point where we're not technologically advanced to do so.
By the way, and I'm I am an all of the above guy.
Uh if you can give me cheaper, cleaner energy and produce it on a mass scale and do it easily, you're gonna be a trillionaire, never mind a billionaire.
So whoever comes up with that technology, but in the near future, and I'm talking about 10, 20, 30 years, we don't have the ability to get the energy that this country needs, which is the lifeblood of every every country's economy to be renewable energy independent.
It just doesn't exist.
That new uh electric vehicle is 22,000 more than a gas-powered vehicle.
Then of course, you gotta pillage Mother Earth and mine out the minerals like cobalt and nickel and manganese, etc.
And you're gonna use big heavy equipment that uses a lot of diesel to get the minerals out of the earth.
And then of course the electric grid is 90% fossil fuels, so when you charge your electric vehicle, except in California, where a lot of hours in the day you can't because they don't have the ability to power them.
Um it's coming from fossil fuels.
I mean, it's it's it is insanity at a level I've never heard.
You know, telling people that Americans now suffering the average couple paying sixty-eight hundred dollars per couple per year because of Biden inflation to go buy an electric vehicle when two-thirds of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck is by definition insanity.
Anyway, Senator Mikeley of Utah is with us.
He has put out a letter and it's calling for a clean continuing resolution.
This is just part of the problem.
Uh, Senator, welcome to the program again.
And by the way, we are fully endorsing supporting your candidacy and your re-election in the great state of Utah as you go up against the guy that claims he's an independent and he's nothing short of a Biden Schumer uh Democrat, uh Egg McMuffin, as my friend Rod R. Keck calls him out in Salt Lake City.
Exactly.
Well, thank you, Sean.
Thanks for having me on your show, and thanks for your support.
Yeah, I'm in a tough race.
Uh and uh I can use all the help I can get and it is it only may be a little tough, and I'll tell you why, because the guy you're running against is a phony.
He's not being honest with the people of Utah.
That's my take on him.
Right.
And not all of them know that.
It's my job to make sure that the people of Utah know what they're voting for, and I need help to do that.
So anyone wanting to help can help me at Lee for Senate dot com.
We need you we need that seat desperately, and I know you're gonna win, but I I take nothing for granted.
Exactly, taking nothing for granted at all.
Nor are we taking anything for granted about spending.
You're exactly right, the cost of living has escalated uh to unacceptable degrees.
In in Utah, inflation is even worse than it is uh uh in many other places.
In fact, it's worse than it is almost anywhere else.
Inflation has gone up fifteen point six percent since the beginning of last year.
As a result, the average Utah family is spending an additional nine hundred and twenty-five dollars a month every month just to meet their basic needs.
This is an average annual household cost in excess of eleven thousand dollars just relative to January of last year.
All this, Sean, is the result of out of control spending by Congress.
Congress spending too much money under Joe Biden's direction with the help of Chuck Schumer, and it's one of the many reasons why we've got to stop Evan McMullen from being elected to the Senate, where he could be Chuck Schumer's fifty-first vote and Joe Biden's guy.
But in order to fight this fight right now, we need to pass a clean continuing resolution that will keep the government funded through sometime in January of 2023.
The reason for that is I believe that the Republicans are going to take the majority, at least in one house.
I believe probably both.
And if that happens in either one house, we'll have more bargaining power.
We won't have to engage in the same spending orgy that we will otherwise face if we try to pass an omnibus spending bill during the lame duck period between the election and the time the new Congress takes over.
That's why I'm encouraging my colleagues uh to push this sort of clean CR.
Let's just pass a clean CR taking us into January, no lame duck spending.
We shouldn't have that.
All right, I explained that.
And I'm I'll tell you what I'm disappointed about, and it has nothing to do with you.
So you write your colleagues and you say, as the fiscal year comes to a close, we look to fund the government.
We must uh use our spending power to ensure that we do not enable the Biden administration's reckless uh progressive agenda to move forward.
We must not accept anything short of a clean CR continuing resolution that contains no additional spending uh or extraneous policy writers, at a minimum any agreement on a clean CR must carry over into the beginning of the hundred and eighteenth Congress.
Failure to stand strong against lame duck spending and caving to the Democrats will likely worsen inflation, prolong the current economic recession, advance policies contained in the Biden administration's progressive wish list, meaning new Green Deal, and the American people cannot afford another Washington feeding frenzy.
We must not let them down.
Look, I'm reading, and you've got all right, six of you that signed it on page one, and you've got eight of you that signed it on page two.
Um that's not enough in terms of Republicans.
Why isn't every Republican on board with you on this?
That's a good question.
I've presented it to the whole conference.
I've pitched it widely.
I can tell you with uh uh a lot of confidence there were other people who agree with the message, but who for one reason or another opted not to sign it.
I actually think most members of our commerce conference agree with it.
I'm also confident that if we could put a clean CR on the floor right now, and Chuck Schumer called it up for a vote, a clean CR would pass.
And that's why why we need to have that.
I'd love to have every member of the conference on board with this letter.
The important point, Sean, is that we do everything we possibly can to avoid a lame duck spending bill.
Because what that would mean is that in the very likely event that we win majority In at least one House of Congress, maybe even both.
We can't surrender what the American people have just given us, which is the power to stand up to Biden's excessive spending demands on Congress, the power to stand up for the American people by pushing back on more DC spending.
What did you hear with the lame duck spending, Bill?
Okay, so Biden goes to the UN yesterday, and by the way, on the day that the day after Vladimir Putin is threatening to use nuclear weapons and says he means he means what he says.
Pretty scary scenario, and his back is against the wall, and a lot of his friends seem to be showing up dead lately.
So who knows what he's capable of?
Um he goes to the UN and he focuses it most of the speech on climate alarmism and climate cultism.
Now he went back in the Paris Accords, and that we pay the bulk of money as we are designated as a you know top economy in the world, but yet China and India are rated as developing nations and pay next to nothing.
Can you explain why any U.S. president would not require China and India to have the same classification as us?
It defies reason, it defies logic to suggest that China should be deemed a developing nation by the United Nations.
In fact, the United Nations has itself acknowledged that China is a is a highly developed population.
Even under the UN's own definition, they're highly developed, and yet we're subject to some international agreements, including the Montreal Protocol and the amendment to that protocol, known as the Kigali Amendment, which the Senate uh ratified yesterday as a treaty.
It did so against my objecting vote, uh notwithstanding the fact that this protocol still classifies China as a developing country.
And as a developing country, it's not required to comply with the same burdens that the United States will face.
In fact, it's given an additional ten years to comply comply with significant restrictions on the emission of hydrofluorocarbons.
Now I I they adopted an amendment that I introduced, declaring that China is not a developing country, and saying that it shouldn't be treated uh as a developing nation by the UN.
I wanted them to go a step further and had introduced another amendment that would have required that as a condition uh for ratifying the treaty.
They didn't get that part.
But think about this, Sean.
They're not a developing nation.
Because China is the world's largest manufacturer.
China is the world's largest emitter of greenhouse gases.
China is the world's largest lending nation.
And those are all things that are entirely incompatible with the notion that they're developing and that they need funds provided by the U.S. to improve their environmental record, or that they need ten additional years to comply with the exacting demands of an international treaty that we've now ratified.
This is insane.
It's absurd, and it's giving an undue competitive advantage to Chinese firms over American firms by giving them benefits we don't have under this false pretense that they're a developing country.

All right, we continue with Senator Mike Lee.
Don't forget, he's up for re-election.
If you're in Utah, while you're eating your crown burger on Election Day, you've got to get to the polls and vote for Mike Lee.
You know, I look at China, and I look at not only the coronavirus, the Wuhan virology lab, but I watch China.
We see their open hostility towards Taiwan, flying their fighter jets over Taiwan airspace, threatening even the Speaker of the House to shoot a plane out of the sky.
It wasn't like that under Donald Trump.
I think President Xi had a healthy fear of President Trump, so it kind of pushed him back.
He wasn't as aggressive.
Putin wasn't as aggressive.
Kim Jong-un, the mullahs weren't as aggressive.
And then I see China is buying up all of this land.
Have you been reading about this?
Buying up a lot of ranch land, a lot of farm land, and a lot of land that happens to be around U.S. military installations.
Why would we ever allow a hostile regime like China to be buying land in our country?
Well, to be buying land and to be buying land through state-owned enterprises.
It's one thing if these were just individuals doing it who happen to have some connection to China, but when you've got a state-owned enterprise uh by China, uh buying up land, and especially if that land is very near a sensitive military install installation or something like that.
That's something that we've got to be prepared to block.
There are means by which we can do that.
I hope and expect our our uh administration will take the steps in order to do that where appropriate.
But the underlying concern also remains separate and apart from those.
But we've been giving China a pass on all sorts of things.
We give China a pass on these uh international environmental obligations, for example.
It's not fair to the American people.
And by the way, what kind of message does that send to the rest of the world?
When President Biden has a chance to speak at the UN, and instead of talking about Russia's aggression, about the evil that is Vladimir Putin, the threat that he presents, not only to the United States and to Ukraine, but to the rest of the world, about uh uh China's uh uh uh horrible aggressive behavior in the South China Sea uh relative to Taiwan and otherwise.
Instead, he goes to speak there, and he chooses to talk about how the United States is choosing essentially unilaterally to disarm when it comes to energy.
That's a disgrace.
It's absolutely silly.
And the policies that he's pushing, the cutbacks and what he claims will be a reduction of how many how many uh gigatons of uh of carbon there is.
You know what he never says, he never tells us what that will translate into in terms of a reduction in global temperature.
He never says that because he can't have the science to back it up, Senator.
Um listen, we're just short on time.
Um by the way, Crown burger's on me, favorite place on earth.
Uh your election.
Now, Utah, you might think, okay, well, Utah is reliably con Republican.
Uh you have uh Egg McMuffin, as my buddy Rod R. K. calls him, uh, is running a phony campaign to deceive the people of Utah into thinking that he's not gonna caucus with the Democrats and the radical socialists in Washington, they will.
So, Senator Mike Lee's re-election is crucial if Republicans have any chance of taking back the Senate.
We're gonna follow this race closely.

All right, 25 now till the top of the hour, 800 941 Sean, our number.
You want to be uh part of the program on this Friday.
Ben Carson had tweeted out never in my lifetime did I think I would see an American law enforcement agency be run and weaponized like the FBI.
Uh, this is a frightening development in our modern political arena.
This is the way of Mao and Castro, not Washington and Lincoln.
Now they they tr leaked to the Washington Post, and I don't believe them.
Oh, this had to do with nuclear codes.
So we're supposed to believe the very same people that for years kept up a lie about Trump Russia collusion that was never true.
The same upper FBI agents uh that were never punished, that went before Pfizer courts and put their signature on FISA applications, with the with the fundamental core basis of it being Hillary Clinton's bought and paid for Russian dossier that has since been debunked, and even after it was debunked, they kept using it before Pfizer court judges.
So we're supposed to believe them that this is all on the up and up.
I don't buy any of it, Dr. Carson, and I worry for our country.
Well, it's extremely disturbing.
There's no evidence whatsoever that uh that President Trump was not cooperative and that they couldn't have received the information that they wanted through a less dramatic way.
But what really is frightening about this whole situation is good people are being sent a message.
You better watch out what you say, what you do.
We don't even want you running.
We don't want you ruling anything because we will torture you.
And who will be left?
Only the leftists.
And we have got to make sure that we are not intimidated, that we don't run and hide, that we become very forceful and represent what we believe, regardless of the consequences, because there are those who came before us and they gave everything to maintain freedom.
Freedom is never, as Ronald Reagan said, more than one generation away.
And I think we're as close to losing it now as we have ever been.
And I was talking to a human rights advocate from Romania the other day, right after the Mar a Lago raid.
And, you know, she had a lot to do with bringing down Chichesco's regime.
And she said the same patterns are being seen in this country, and it's very frightening.
It is very frightening.
At this point, what are the American people to think of this?
What do you think the end goal here is?
Uh do you suspect as I do that this was all a pretext to begin with, because they were there in June.
They had access to everything in June.
They were not denied access to any of these boxes or any of these documents at all.
Quite the contrary.
They asked the president to lock them up and he locked them up.
And then the president, you know, graciously, according to numerous sources, said feel free to come anytime you want.
You're welcome.
Well, that's why they're so slow in reducing releasing information, you know, they got to concoct a good story.
And uh, you know, it's it's just sad that we've gotten to this point because the rest of the world is watching.
You know, America, the great beacon of freedom and justice, and this is what they're seeing.
And what hope do they have?
You know, it just disturbs me uh enormously.
And uh that's why I'm speaking out against it.
Uh recognizing, you know, there may be repercussions.
Um of course, you know, they come after you for everything.
Um, but the fact of the matter is this is our country.
And if we don't fight for it, who's gonna fight for it?
And I appreciate the fact that you, Sean, have been such a patriot.
I thank you for that.
Well, I appreciate your kind words.
Uh I wish I was more effective because um uh had I been more effective.
I mean, it's kind of amazing when you think about it when you have you know the the entire upper uh apparatchic, if you will, of the FBI going after one man the way they did, and it's all based on a lie, and it took three long years to unpeel every layer of the onion proving that it was a lie, and then the fact that nobody involved in this effort to undo an an election in this country were ever held accountable.
Um why would we expect them not to continue to push away people that they think are unfit for office, like Peter Struck had said, you know, in a text message.
I I want you to believe that the path you threw out for consideration in Andy's office that there's no way he gets elected.
This is August of twenty sixteen.
But I'm afraid we can't take that risk.
It's like an insurance policy in the unlikely event before you're you die before you're forty, you know.
This was, you know, Lisa Page scared to death.
You don't think he can win, do you?
We have an insurance policy, so he won't win.
I mean, scary.
And at the same time, Hillary Clinton can erase thirty thousand emails, asset watch, the hard drive, smash the telephones, and there's no consequences for it.
I mean, this is just blatant double standard, and it cannot be allowed to persist.
And when the Republicans uh get in office again, and not just Republicans, but people of good will, people who love our nation, who who appreciate our freedoms, when they get in office, they have to make sure that these kinds of things do not continue to occur.
And it means not going after people, not just going after people for revenge, but to fix the system so that we don't have this kind of thing going on in our country.
What do you think the next thing that happens here is?
Do you think that they would try and indict the former president in the hopes of uh convicting him and and having him in jail at the time of the next election to prevent him from running?
Because a conviction, by the way, constitutionally would not prevent him from running for office.
You know, this code that is being cited by Mark Elias and all these other people uh negates the very enumerated qualifications in the Constitution and and the specific requirements for somebody not to be eligible to run, and that would be impeachment and conviction.
Uh it doesn't mention anything about being, you know, uh maybe not um uh following every single dotted iron cross T in the Presidential Records Act or the National Archives Act.
Well, we remember what Trump represents.
I mean, he has come in to the swamp.
I call it a suspicious swamp's too kind.
And uh, you know, both Republicans And Democrats who are part of the establishment don't like what he represents.
And that is somebody who's not gonna play their games, who's not gonna continue their power grab.
And uh, you know, they hate him.
He won't submit to them.
And uh that's why they don't want to see him run again and they'll do anything, quite frankly.
So what's coming next?
Anything they can do to keep him from running.
You know, you look at this this congressional hearings that they're having uh on January the sixth.
Absurd not to have a mechanism whereby people can be cross examined.
You know, it doesn't really mean anything, and I think that's why most people aren't paying attention to it.
But American people are smart enough, they're waking up, they know what is going on.
And I think all of this may actually be beneficial to President Trump.
Well, it's gonna be interesting to watch.
Certainly the American pe people are paying attention, and all I'm hearing is just outright disgust and anger from people.
Dr. Carson, we love having you on.
Thank you so much.
Uh he is now the founder chairman of the American Cornerstone Institute.
How do people get in touch with you?
Uh American Cornerstone dot org.
All right, sir.
Always a pleasure.
God bless you and your family.
800 nine four one Sean, if you want to be a part of the program.
Uh let's say hi to Clayton in Utah.
Clayton, how are you?
By the way, uh for the people in Utah, I hope you're paying attention to Evan McMullen, and he is nothing but a a Joe Biden democratic radical climate alarmist that is dodging and ducking any tough questions from Mike Lee.
Because Mike Lee is a constitutionalist, and Evan won't answer how he would have voted on the Mansion Schumer bill.
But anyway, putting that aside.
What's going on, sir?
So when I look at this nine hour FBI raid, I cannot help but ask how Trump and Melania can even go back there to to live again.
It seems like uh it would it would be impossible to have a private conversation, uh a campaign meeting.
There's no way that they're gonna go back there and not assume that that place has been bugged from an FBI raid that was nine hours long.
What do you think?
Well, you can certainly uh I know from my own experience, believe it or not, traveling ab abroad um in places where we think Singapore, Vietnam and other pla hell Helsinki was another place.
Uh there was always a belief because you know, these hostile regimes are they're the way more informed than people think.
Uh they knew I would be there.
They know that that I would occasionally have conversations with the former president, and there was a concern by our security that in fact they would try to put listening devices in my room, so I know there are ways to s you know sweep rooms and get rid of any of these bugs if they put them in there.
I just I I I don't see him uh being able to return with with full confidence, and I think that's maybe part of the plan is is to keep him isolated and and keep him worried about if there's a rat or if there's an informant or or anything like that.
Not that there was any wrongdoing, but uh, you know, a private conversation is a private conversation.
It's not made for the uh the public.
Um Donald Trump is tougher than that.
And and I will tell you that most normal people would would have broken by now.
You can't break this guy.
He he I he has this uh you know incredible fortitude that I've never seen in a person.
You know, you you think of all the fire that he's been under the Trump Russia collusion, hoax for three long years, Muller, impeachment one, impeachment two, January sixth, you go through all of this, you know, all of their attempts to take him down have failed up to this point.
You know, and and and even the the FBI, you know, in putting in writing that they didn't want this man ever elected in 2016, top people in the FBI and their minions.
And yet he was able to defeat them.
I I I think when America takes a look at this, when all is said and done and the smoke clears on this, and when we begin to compare and contrast what Joe Biden has done to destroy this country on a level that not even I anticipated, and I was I was trying to warn everybody what would happen.
I was right, I didn't think it would happen this fast.
And they compare his policies that are successful.
Uh I think that uh I think America will vote for him again in 2024 if he runs.
Got my vote for sure.
But they certainly don't want him to run, do they?
That's the whole point.
You know, if it it's it's interesting.
It's gone for the case.
one of the arguments is he can't win.
He's the most unelectable Republican.
Then if you're if you think he's the most unelectable Republican, then you should want him as the nominee.
But they know deep down in their hearts it's not true.
They fear the the the love the people of this country have for him, at least half the country.
Anyway, appreciate the call, Caden.
God bless you.
Ray Chicago, what's up, Ray?
How are you?
Hey hey, Sean, what a what a tremendous privilege to speak with you.
You're a great American.
I love and watch you listen to you every day.
But the reason I'm calling is about uh the IRS.
There's 87,000 new agents.
I'm the CPA.
Uh currently the IRS is 78,000 um employees.
So they're gonna more than double uh the size of the IRS.
They do not currently, their their systems are antiquated.
Umly five percent of the budget allowed going to this hiring is going to infrastructure.
Okay, so you got eighty-seven thousand more users on that.
Okay.
Secondly, the training involved in trying to train eighty-seven thousand people is gonna take a very, very, very long time.
This is not something you're just answering calls.
You know, it's this is a long-term play by the government.
And another thing, you know, the Well, let me tell you what it is.
It's more than multiple agencies personnel combined, and it's more than doubling the size.
Let me just say this very quickly here.
If you make $25,000 or less, I bet most people did not know this Syracuse University study.
You are five times more likely to be audited than anybody else.
They already audit most wealthy people almost as a matter of course.
You know, I can't tell you how many times, in spite of two accounting firms and a law firm going over all of my taxes, paying every penny and then some.
I pay more.
I overpay.
You know, that they they still want to, you know, harass you.
And but the pri the only difference is is I can afford the accountants and the lawyers, and I let them handle it.
But uh in spite of all of that, who you know, if you make 25 grand or less, they want to find out are you making money on the side?
Are you painting houses on the side?
Are you cutting lawns on the side?
If are you are you hiding your tips if you work in a restaurant?
It's insane.
Anyway, my friend, good call.
Appreciate it.
Wish I had more time.
