Now, his latest bestseller, Killing the Killers, is still on the New York Times bestseller list.
He has Killing the Legends.
When is Killing the Legends out?
Next week?
No, the 27th of September.
So everybody is pre-ordering it now, and totally different than the other killing books, that's for sure.
So if you're killing the legends, that means it's people like Hannity.
You're killing yourself.
You know, who are the legends we're talking about?
You know, the legends that I write about are just above us.
We're legends in our own mind, but go ahead.
Elvis, Muhammad Ali, John Lennon.
And the subtitle is The Lethal Danger of Celebrity.
And you and I know as well as anybody else.
We know all about that.
How dangerous being a celebrity is in America today.
And these three guys.
You know what's a really cool thing?
So Muhammad Ali's daughter was on the television show, and he watched, and he sent me boxing gloves signed by him.
I still have them.
That was a nice.
He was a very nice man.
A lot of people don't know that.
And so was Elvis.
Lennon, not so much.
But they got caught up in things they could not control.
And it led directly to their deaths, all three.
I say, and I've never talked to you about this.
I say fame is unhealthy.
I think it's unnatural.
I think, you know, why is it that we put people, musicians, athletes, people in the media up on a pedestal when all we really are doing, Bill, is the same thing that everyone else does for a living.
As you say, the folks, we provide a service.
We provide news, information, opinion, perspective on the day's events.
And whatever level of, quote, fame people get, it seems to be very damaging to many people that have it.
You've got to have a lot of preparation in order to handle the pressures that come with notoriety, whether good or bad.
And Americans lead the league, lead the world in adulation of famous people.
And now, because of the internet, that adulation has turned mean in a lot of regards.
Last night I was at Yankee Stadium for the Met Yankee Subway Series.
All right.
So when I go there, I know everybody, and I've got really good security, and everybody is nice to me, and I pose for as many pictures as I can pose going up to the suite where I sit.
So who's in the suite?
By the way, the simple man sits in a suite, but that's okay.
Keep going.
You have to.
No, honestly, people would not understand that.
I totally get it.
Yeah, there's 50,000 people.
Now, I used to sit with Donald Trump, and people remember the famous pictures because he's a big Yankee fan.
We would go to the games before he was in politics.
But we did sit in a very protected area with security sitting behind us.
I don't have security sitting behind me, but I go into the suite.
Guess who's in the suite?
Who?
Supreme Court Justice Sodomayor.
I have heard she's a wonderfully nice lady.
Well, listen to this.
So I don't agree with her on anything and vice versa.
I met her before the Kennedy Center of Honors when I gave an award to Herbie Hancock.
I'm dropping names like crazy here, but it's interesting.
So anyway, she's there.
She was born and raised in the Bronx, big Yankee fan.
And she couldn't have been nicer.
But when I was there and I was there with my son and I wanted him to talk to her because he's involved with political science and college and all of that, I'm looking around and I'm not seeing the U.S. Marshals.
Okay?
Now, wherever the Supreme Court justices go, they have to be a bevy of U.S. Marshals with them.
Oh, we have to protect our Supreme Court justices, especially in light of what happened.
I go to one of the Yankee officials and I go, where are the Marshals?
And he looks at me and he goes, they're right over there.
I look.
They look like they were dressed as any baseball fan would be, and they looked like they were 22.
And there were three of them.
Now, they do that because they don't want to attract attention to the justice who gets in and out of there in a very secure manner.
But the danger to every famous person, whether it be political or entertainment or sports, is escalating so rapidly in our country that it's frightening.
And that is why I wrote Killing the Legends.
Well, the only thing I would say, and then I really want to get your take on this student loan forgiveness thing, is that there's only two things that I think ground people in life, period.
I mean, you don't have to be famous to have a messed up life, right?
People make bad decisions every day.
And the only things that I have found to the extent that I might be grounded in any way is A, my belief in God and that we're all created by God, natural law, and B, the fact that I have worked hard my entire life.
And by working hard, I mean since I was eight years old.
And that kept me grounded.
And doing all of that blue-collar work for decades of my life keeps me grounded because I don't think I'm any different than anybody else that's providing a service, even though what I do is in the public eye.
Okay, so now I'm going to tell your audience one thing about you that you won't say.
Oh, no.
I'm not going to like this.
No, you like it, Hannity.
Just sit back and relax.
One of the reasons that you didn't have the problems that Elvis or Lennon or Ali had was because your fame didn't come out of a skyrocket.
So you started your career, I think, in Santa Barbara, California.
You went down south.
You're in Alabama.
You're in Georgia.
You worked your way up, just like me.
Scranton, Pennsylvania, for me, Dallas, Denver, Hartford, Connecticut.
So we were working people who just got lucky enough and skilled enough, developed their skills to become famous.
That's a big difference.
I agree totally.
Yeah, who explode onto the scene and have no idea of the temptations and the pressures that fame brings.
All right, let's move on.
Now, Bill, I know you went to school.
I had a student loan from Jamaica Savings Bank, and I paid it back in 10 years, $58.05 every month.
At a time, I was living paycheck to paycheck in my early 20s, and it was difficult to pay back.
So now you've got Joe Biden who's going to forgive debt 20 grand if you went to college on Pell Grants, $10,000 if you didn't receive Pell Grants.
Forgiveness applies to those earning less than $125,000.
And on top of that, the student loan pause will be extended one final time through December the 31st, 2022.
And by the way, if you have an undergraduate loan, you can cap your repayment at 5% of your monthly income.
Now, there are a lot of angry people out there, Bill, because they paid for their college.
They worked their way through college like I did.
Their parents didn't take vacations, buy new cars, go out to restaurants to save for their kids' college.
And now we're going to take their money, those people, and we're going to give it to this generation.
And Elizabeth Warren, I think, said it best.
Let me play this for you.
So you're going to pay for people who didn't save any money.
And those of us that did the right thing get screwed.
No, it's not even that's a great point.
Of course we do.
My buddy had fun, bought a car, went on vacations.
I saved my money.
He made more than I did.
I worked a double shift.
I worked the extra.
My daughter's more than she just can't.
So you're laughing.
Yeah, that's exactly what you're doing.
We did the right thing, and we get screwed.
I appreciate that.
How great was that guy?
Look, what people have to understand is that the federal government is not fair.
It doesn't try to be fair.
It never has been fair.
And that reflects life.
Many times your parents say life isn't fair.
But everybody should know and understand what's going on here.
It's very important.
Number one, this is a vote grab.
Okay?
That's what it is.
They're buying votes 80 days out of an election.
Right.
The Democratic Party said, we're going to vote.
We're going to buy as many votes as we can by giving out as much federal money as we can.
And you've seen it over the last 18 months with Biden.
I mean, there's never a check that Biden doesn't want to write.
And in fact, in this case, Schumer wanted $50,000 debt forgiveness.
And I'll tell you why in a moment.
And Biden knew he couldn't do that because it would be just a catastrophe of inflation, which is attached to this bill as well.
At 10 and 20, it's going to inflate.
At 50, it would be ridiculous.
So it's a vote grab, vote buy.
The second thing is that the federal government wants to run the United States educational system from preschool to grad school.
The socialists want to run it.
We all know that.
And the way to run it is to control the money that is paid to the institutions.
This is the start of that.
What the goal for the progressive left is, is to give free education to certain groups, equity, and then the other groups will pay the freight.
But we, the central government, will control who gets the free education and who does not.
That's what this is all about, Hannity.
All right, quick break more with Simpleman.
Bill O'Reilly on the other side.
Then your call is 800-941.
Sean, you want to be a part of the program?
Look, back to school time is here, but that's also prime time now for these online scammers looking for the next victims.
Now, all ages of students and parents, they're targets of cyber criminals.
They use very clever methods to steal your money and your personal information.
As a matter of fact, all of us every day are putting our personal information out there on the internet, and these thieves want to destroy your name and reputation, rob you blind, and destroy your credit score.
That's why Lifelock.com by Norton is so important because they see the threats all of us will miss on our own.
If, in fact, they see any of your personal information is compromised, you get an alert.
If you become a victim of identity theft, you will get a dedicated U.S.-based restoration specialist to fix it for you.
And by the way, it's a very low annual rate, and you'll save an additional 25% off your first year if you use the promo code Hannity when you call 1-800-Lifelock or just go to lifelock.com.
1-800-Lifelock, Lifelock.com, promo code Hannity.
Protect your name, reputation, finances, credit score.
800-941-Sean on number.
We'll get to your calls after the news at the bottom of the hour.
Awesome, Hannity, tonight.
Set your DVR, 9 Eastern, on the Fox News Channel.
All right, we continue with Simple Man Bill O'Reilly.
You know what the problem, too, is there's a certain lawlessness that he's taken on.
And let me play you, Nancy Pelosi, saying, oh, Joe Biden doesn't have the power through the stroke of a pen or executive fiat to do this.
Listen.
People think that the President of the United States has the power for debt forgiveness.
He does not.
He can postpone, he can delay, but he does not have that power.
That has to be an act of Congress.
And I don't even like to call it forgiveness because that implies a transgression.
It's not to be forgiven.
Just freeing people from those obligations.
So the question of who gets forgiven, to use the term of art that is out there, is a debate.
Do we use whatever money there is for the broadest base of support of those with more people with even less debt or fewer people with more debt?
That's a policy discussion.
But the difference between the president doing, president can't do it.
So that's not even a discussion.
Not everybody realizes that, but the president can only postpone, delay, but not forgive.
Now, Bill O'Reilly, they're doing it anyway.
They're not following the laws of the land.
We see that on our southern border.
He's now ruling by executive fiat.
And at the bottom of every single decision they're making on the economy, on energy, begging, doing this new Iranian deal, begging the Saudis.
The Saudis are now decreasing production.
Great job, Joe.
Begging Venezuela and OPEC.
Every single item, if you look down the list of AOC's Green New Deal, they're doing it by executive fiat, or they get Manchin to go along with a phony scheme, promise them a pipeline, and then say, never mind.
It's like Lucy pulling away the football from Charlie Brown.
Yeah, but if you, Pelosi's right.
I mean, Biden can't be forgiving debts in the private sector, but this isn't the private sector.
If you read the fine print in this debt forgiveness thing that he signed, it all gets attached to the federal apparatus somehow.
The loans come out of the Department of Education.
That's how Biden gets around the thing that only Congress has a right to designate money spent by the federal government.
So they're playing a shell game with the American people.
But the most important thing is for every voter in this country to understand the goal.
The goal is for the federal government to control education, the economy, social mores, every single thing of your life.
That is the goal of the New York Times.
It's also their goal to stop Trump.
Last question, less than a minute.
Do you think they will indict Donald Trump?
Not at this point, but I'm not privy to what documents he possesses or did possess.
But we know what Hillary possessed.
Because they don't know.
Hillary possessed far more top secret classified information.
Prosecution discretion.
They're going to throw that up into your face.
But I'll tell you what.
If Trump is indicted, the first witness that will be called by his attorneys will be Hillary Clinton.
All right, Bill O'Reilly, Killing the Killer is still on the New York Times bestseller list.
It's always a pleasure, Bill.
We love having you on.
Thank you for being with us, and hope you have a great holiday weekend coming up as well.
All right.
Thanks for having me in, Sean.
Appreciate it.
Quick break right back.
Your calls on the other side.
Straight ahead.
All right, 25 now till the top of the hour, 800-941, Sean, if you want to be a part of the program.
This Paul Pelosi DUI video was not really good.
He was kind of slurring, couldn't walk straight.
Anyway, we've got the audio portion.
Let's play it.
Are you sure you could complete the test?
Because I really don't want you to fall over and hurt yourself.
That's a lot of holding.
But that's the whole purpose of the test, grabbing onto his protocol.
You're involved in a crash.
I smell alcohol coming from your breath.
I can see you're very unsteady on your feet.
So he was clearly hammered.
Apparently, in the Napa Valley, where they have all the wine tasting, there are people that I know that are dying to go to Napa Valley and go vineyard to vineyard to vineyard.
And no wonder it has the fifth highest DUI rate in the entire country because cops aren't stupid.
When you go to the winery and you're driving a car, you're probably going to be at him shift-faced.
And if you are, then guess what?
You're going to get a DUI like Paul Pelosi did.
And he hit that other car and he could have killed somebody.
So that didn't work out well.
I'll tell you who also, I don't think that Fetterman's going to take us up on our offer, Linda.
Not heard back.
I will follow up again today.
This Bernie Sanders socialist-loving spoiled brat, you know, baby trust kid that he's been his whole life.
This guy's never had a job.
What Bernie Sanders?
I think that title is too long.
I think we got to give him a shorter title.
I'm thinking out loud.
Let's call him Woody Jones.
Somebody wrote me last night and said, why don't you just call him Uncle Fester?
Oh, God, somebody said that to me, too.
It's really cool.
It's so funny.
I'm like, that's mean.
I don't want to attack the way he looks.
He puts on the tough guy act.
He acts all tough.
He acts like he's working class.
Meanwhile, we find out he's a trust fund brat his entire life, living off mommy and daddy.
He buys a home from his sister for a dollar.
The guy's never had a real job.
He's so out of touch with the people of Pennsylvania.
Abortion, no restrictions at all, meaning up to the moment of birth.
Is he insane?
He wants a moratorium on fracking.
That's an $80 billion industry to Pennsylvania.
Is he out of his mind?
He supports all of this new Green Deal socialism.
He says, you know, brags that he's with Bernie Sanders, supported and endorsed Bernie Sanders.
So he's a full-on socialist communist and chases a guy, an innocent African-American, running down the street, jogging.
This guy even admitted that he probably broke the law, but because he was the mayor, nobody arrested him and confronts this guy with a shotgun and holds this guy hostage.
And he got away with that.
And he acts like it's not a big deal.
Imagine any Republican running for the Senate that ever did something like that.
What would the media reaction be there?
Anyway, so he gave, he's now had two general campaign appearances for the general election.
And the first one was 11 minutes.
We played that.
That's a disaster.
And this is out of the four plus minutes that he gave yesterday, it only went on a little over four minutes.
That's it.
So this guy has campaigned a whopping 15 minutes in this entire election cycle.
And the media mob is running defense for him just like they did Joe Biden in 2020.
Listen to what a disaster this is.
Now, remember, he had a stroke before the primary.
And by the way, I wish him the best of health.
This isn't about his health as much as it is about, you know, wanting to legalize heroin, which he's taken that position.
Safe shooting zones all over Pennsylvania.
Gee, that's a brilliant idea, too.
Anyway, here's him from yesterday.
Let me ask you a question.
If you say you think the word of deal worker, what words come to your mind if you say steel workers?
You know what comes to my mind also is making sure that I'm going to be proud to stand and defend the union way of life here if I make it to D.C. Being anti-union is anti-American.
What is wrong with demanding for an easy, safe kind of their income, a path to a safe place for them to win, or excuse me, to work?
Thank you.
Thank you for endorsing me on first day of my campaign.
Uh-oh.
We've got a bigger problem than Biden may be here.
I mean, it's painful to listen to us.
On the human level, nobody will believe me.
I don't wish anybody ill health.
I don't.
But he's certainly not up to the job of being a senator.
But put that aside.
Put his health issues aside because they've not been transparent about it.
Nobody in the media is even pushing them for an answer about it.
But it's the positions he takes, sanctuary state.
He wants legalized heroin.
He wants to end fracking in Pennsylvania, abortion with no restrictions whatsoever.
He's a Bernie Sanders, basically trust fund Brad has never had a job.
And he acts like a tough guy because he's got all these tattoos and he wears a hoodie.
And people think he's tough.
He's not that tough.
He won't debate Oz.
He won't debate us.
He won't do interviews.
I don't think he's capable of it after hearing that tape.
Do you?
I don't know that he was ever capable of it, but the thing that we're seeing now is he's not able to hide it.
So the difference between then and now is he can't hide it.
And he's not able to speak.
He's obviously going through all the rehabilitation that happens when you have a stroke.
And he needs to focus on getting better, being in rehab, learning how to do all the things you need to do again.
And that's it.
That's it.
And quite frankly, Sean, the reason why they think that you don't mean it is because they wouldn't mean it.
They're out there to attack and to just, you know, kick conservatives.
I don't wish to do anybody.
Of course we don't.
No, I just don't.
But he's still not fit to be senator.
He's not been a good defendant governor.
I mean, that is a fact.
He's not fit to be senator.
By the way, Linda behind the scenes has been giving me a hard time because my godson is getting married and I'm a big part of all the events that will be taking place in coming days.
And I think we should note, Sean, that I do take great enjoyment in this.
I'm fully admitted to it because you hate weddings with a passion.
I hate them.
Hate them.
But I'm going to try and be on my best behavior.
My family is a little worried, though.
So what does that mean you'll be there for a whole 10 minutes instead of eight?
Well, that issue has come up.
How long I plan on staying.
Are they taking bets on?
When I speak, what I will say.
You know, my kids in particular, Dad, you can't.
It's your godson, Dad.
Dad, don't.
But whatever you do.
And then they kind of push me, so I push their buttons and I say, well, I'm going to be myself.
And just saying those words scares them.
That's all we need to hear.
That's it.
Dad, please, Dad, you can't.
I'm like, what do you mean?
I'm just going to be myself.
My charming self.
So charming.
Quiet.
Oh, man.
Jake in Kentucky, what's up, Jake?
Glad you called, sir.
Thank you for taking my call, Mr. Hannity.
One quick question for you.
How does a sitting president have the authority or the constitutional authority just to tell his subordinates that, hey, the former president, he no longer has any of his rights or his authority?
How does that work?
Well, I think you're raising a good question here.
It doesn't work the way that they say that they're working.
And at the top of the arrow, we'll talk to John Solomon and Greg Jarrett about this very thing.
For example, Greg Jarrett said on day one that the Federal Records Act gives authority to a former president to have custody and control over presidential papers.
Wall Street Journal echoed that argument yesterday.
And then on top of it, then you have the timeline, which I keep going back to.
The National Archives and Records Administration, NARA for short, they sent the Trump people a letter thanking them for their help and cooperation in February of this year.
And then you've got the DOJ and the FBI were at Mar-a-Lago in June.
They wanted to see what other boxes remained.
And they asked the Trump people to put it under a padlock.
They did.
And they could have taken it anything they wanted that day.
All they had to do was ask.
And the president said, come back anytime you want.
Whatever you need, we'll give it to you.
I mean, there's no way that he doesn't pack up all these boxes.
This is all a crock, all of it.
He wasn't out there with breaches.
I totally agree with you on it.
Go ahead, sir.
Well, that's a whole nother topic right there in itself.
I mean, it just, you know, the stuff that we've seen President Trump go through, this is just another Democrat dirty trick.
And it's disgusting.
And lastly, it's been six years of this crap.
And I'm sick of it.
And America's sick of it.
America now, they're watching this.
And even people that maybe are maybe not inclined to like Donald Trump or his personality or whatever, you can't deny that his policies work.
You can't.
I'll take that debate to anybody, anyplace, any day.
Now, if you argue that maybe occasionally should be a little more delicate on Twitter and not be in as many fights with some of these people, okay, I can understand how you feel that way.
But remember, you weren't the person lied about for three years about colluding with Russia and stealing an election.
So he has every right after that to be suspect of the people that hate his guts, that dragged him through a phony impeachment, not one but two of them, the same people that ignored the real quid pro quo, the same people that won't raid Hunter's house or Hillary Clinton's house.
At this point, he has every right to be pissed off at the double standard.
I'm pissed off about it.
And Americans, that's why this election matters and it matters a lot, especially the House and the Senate.
These key races mean something.
Anyway, thanks, Jake.
Appreciate you being in Kentucky.
Listen, thanks to my friends at Car Shield, I don't have to worry if I break down on the road.

All right, let's head back to our phones.
Deborah is in the free state of Florida.
What's up, Deborah?
Glad you called.
Hello, Sean.
I am so happy to be talking to you.
First time I got through, longtime listener.
And my point today is, yes, thank you for God bless you, all you do for our country.
You're one of the great patriots in America.
So what I'd like to say is this.
Everyone's talking about the August 8th Monday raid on Trump's Mar-a-Lago.
Well, on August 5th, the warrant was issued.
Why did they wait?
A couple of days till Monday.
Everybody's talking about that.
And from observing everything, in my humble opinion, I think that what they did was they waited till Monday so they could get a full news cycle on Monday, get all their six o'clock pundits on the mainstream media to get ready and to, you know, spew their garbage about how horrible Trump is for hiding all these documents.
So it was merely a ploy to get to the news cycle and keep that going for a week.
And now we're in the third week.
Okay, so we've had all these leaks.
It may have to do with the nuclear codes.
There may be as many as 700 classified documents.
I'm going to replay Comey and when he laid out all of the things they found on Hillary Clinton's servers and the things, of course, that were deleted that we'll never get a hold of, that we think foreign entities probably do have copies of.
But anyway, when you read what she did versus what Donald Trump did, Donald Trump gave them access and gave them 15 boxes and gave them access in June and gave them an opportunity to take anything they wanted.
So this is all a crock.
And if it was so dangerous as the media mob would have us believe or Democrats would have us believe, why did they wait three long days to do it?
Why did they wait 18 months to do it?
They should have done it right away.
So none of it makes sense.
And I think, yes, this is nothing but the latest, greatest example.
Smear, slander, besmirch, and try and get Trump any way you can.
And they've thrown everything at this guy, and they've not killed him.
They want him politically dead.
That's just a fact.
They don't want him running.
Now, on the other hand, it's a little ironic because you talk to Democrats and they love to cite their little polls from liberal media organizations.
Oh, Donald Trump would be the easiest Republican to beat.
So if he's the easiest, you would want him to run again.
But apparently they really don't believe that because by their actions, they're showing that they're very fearful of Donald Trump.
Deborah, you make me proud.
Thank you so much for being a longtime listener and thanks for your patience.
I'll give you the last word.
What's your final word?
One more thing.
I think one of the reasons they did this too was to get a preemptive strike in because they know Trump is going to run.
They know he'll probably win.
And when he has a valid reason for going after Hunter and the Biden crime family and he raids their places, they can say it's political retribution when it's not.
It will be warranted and it will be just.
But they're doing this to say, look, he's getting retribution.
I'm done.
Thank you.
They had evidence that Hillary committed crimes.
They did nothing.
They didn't raid her house.
We know that she purposefully, with intention, deleted 33,000 emails on her servers.
We know that she had AIDS bust up devices, phones, BlackBerries, and bust it up into little pieces and throw them away.
And that SIM cards were removed from other devices.
Then they're handed over to the FBI.
But without a SIM card, they're meaningless.
You can't get any information off such a phone.
So, you know, the double standard, the dual justice system is on full display for the country to see.
The good news is November is coming.
If you care to get the country back on track, the first step is November.
The second step is November of 2024.
That's how we'll save the country.
And we'll need your help, Deborah.
Thank you.
All right, quick break to 800-9401-Sean is on number.
You want to be a part of the program as we roll along.
