What I told people, I was making a podcast about Benghazi.
Nine times out of ten, they called me a masochist, rolled their eyes, or just asked why.
Benghazi, the truth became a web of lies.
From Prologue Projects and Pushkin Industries, this is fiasco Benghazi.
What difference at this point does it make?
Listen to Fiasco Benghazi on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
All right, news roundup information overload hour.
We'll get to your calls here on this Friday.
I just want to go over John uh Kirby sparring with Peter Ducey and kind of insulting him because Peter Ducey, you know, why why didn't Biden ever call out President Xi on threatening to shoot down Pelosi's plane or unfair trade practices or COVID 19 or intellectual property theft or the treatment of the minority Uyghurs.
Not a single thing.
But yet President Xi threatens our own president and he doesn't lift a finger.
Anyway, here's that exchange yesterday.
President Biden's known him for decades.
He's got a lot of free time up there in the residence this week.
He doesn't have free time.
He can't just pick up the phone and call.
So that's a little bit insulting.
And um, as for a call.
It is.
It is that someone who is isolating by himself.
You suggested he has a lot of free time as if he's not doing anything, and you know that's not the case, Mr. Deucey.
No, that's always the case.
Peter Ducey, as always, was right on the money.
Then we have this other issue that we've been pointing out and covering at great length, and that is China buying up all of this farmland and all this ranch land and a lot of it around military installations.
Uh Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida talked about it in an interview with Laura Ingram, and here's what he said.
Well, I don't think they should be able to do it.
I think the problem is is these companies have ties to the CCP, and it's not always apparent on the face of whatever a company is doing.
But I think it's a huge problem, the influence that they have.
Now, what we have done in Florida, I've signed legislation to crack down on undue influence from rogue states, including the CCP.
Unbelievable.
Well, DeSantis is right, and it makes absolutely no sense.
You can't have China buying up our farmland and buying up our our ranches and spending enormous amounts of money, especially near military installations.
This is insane.
You think China would ever let any U.S. citizen buy up land uh near their military installations?
I tend to doubt it.
I don't even think it's a question.
Anyway, Gordon Chang is with us.
He is the author of the coming collapse of China and the Great U.S. China Tech War.
We saw a little bit of uh some of their technical abilities as apparently they did a cyber attack on Taiwan when Nancy Pelosi showed up.
Uh, how are you, Mr. Chang?
Welcome back.
Thank you so much, Sean.
You know, I I look at this it starts with the phone conversation with with President Chi and with Joe Biden and and of course the the threat of President Xi, not only against Biden, but against Nancy Pelosi.
You play with fire, you're gonna get burned, threatening to shoot down Nancy Pelosi's plane.
And I'm thinking if I'm the president, I'm gonna be demanding answers on COVID.
I'm gonna be demanding answers on human rights abuses with the Uyghurs, the minority community and the treatment of of these people.
I'm gonna be demanding answers on unfair trade practices and intellectual property theft and their saber rattling and flying their fighter jets over Taiwan airspace constantly.
Joe Biden didn't do any of that, to my knowledge.
Why not?
I think it's because Biden has this view of China, Sean, that we need to cooperate with it.
So he's willing to overlook genocide, crimes against humanity, theft of U.S. intellectual property, deliberately releasing the coronavirus beyond China's borders, all of these things.
But also there's the question that we have to confront, and that is what is the relationship of the Biden family with the Communist Party of China?
We ha don't have all the answers to there, but we also don't have a Justice Department that seems to be very enthusiastic about finding those critical answers.
Well, we know that's a fact.
I mean, Director Ray was questioned yesterday extensively about this.
Now they've had Hunter Biden's laptop uh the longest of anybody because uh the repair man, the Mac repair guy, John Paul Mack Isaac, um, he actually had Hunter's laptop, saw things on there that he thought the FBI should know about, and first handed it over to the FBI.
They had it for years now, and director Ray still has no answers.
Um I'm pretty certain if it was a Trump child's laptop that there would have been severe consequences at this point.
But I think you're right on one very critical point.
Why did he approve the Nord Stream 2 pipeline for Vladimir Putin while simultaneously canceling the Keystone pipeline in this country?
Uh, could it be related to Hunter and the $3.5 million he got from an oligarch for n for what we can see next to nothing in terms of work?
Uh the 1.5 billion dollar deal with the Bank of China, the hundred thousand dollar shopping spree with a Chinese national.
Uh does the Biden family syndicate business go into Joe wanting to at a at a time we're paying the most we've ever paid for a gallon of gasoline, give them a a million barrels of our strategic petroleum reserves and lifting tariffs that Donald Trump had put in place?
Why give them special considerations when they're threatening us?
Yes, and they're not asking those questions.
But one thing we know, Sean, for sure, and that is that Hunter Biden failed to report substantial amounts of income.
That's income tax evasion, that's a federal crime.
You start there and then you start getting at the other things that you've talked about, which of course are more important, but we don't really see very much in the way of vigorous law enforcement activity on the part of the IRS, the U.S. Attorney's Office in Wilmington, or the FBI.
And the American people need to have answers because here we have on its face, a foreign government buying a family which now occupies the Oval Office.
All right.
So let's talk about how your read on China.
Now, your book, the coming collapse of China, why do you believe that they will collapse?
I believe they'll collapse because their assistance is unsustainable, that it can go if uh, for instance, foreign companies and foreign investors keep it going.
Um it can go if we allow them to steal our intellectual property, but the system on its own is unsustainable.
Um I have thought that they would fail before now, but right now we're seeing signs of economic failure inside China, and the only things that are keeping the economy going are foreign investors in into the equity markets, plus also export sales to the United States and other locations.
That means we're keeping the Communist Party in business, Sean.
That means President Biden is rescuing our enemy.
All right.
So let me ask you so would any other president at this point in time when China is threatening our ally Taiwan, threatening to shoot down uh uh plane with the Speaker of the House in it, uh, threatening the president of the United States on a phone call and then state media bragging about it.
Um, would any other president respond with the offer of a million barrels of of strategic petroleum reserve oil and and lifting tariffs?
Because I can't think of one.
Yeah, I can't think of one either.
Um, you know, we're looking at the Biden um uh policies from day one, I mean hours on into his office, policies that are inexplicable.
And that's just continued.
Um and the Communist Party loves the Biden administration because we're seeing these pro China policies.
Biden is as pro China as he possibly can be.
He is certainly going to help the party.
And you know, as I mentioned, it was just hours into his office when he reversed and revoked a President Trump's executive order banning the importation of electrical equipment from China.
In other words, President Trump was trying to protect our grid.
Joe Biden was determined to let the Chinese sabotage it.
This is really wrong.
Let me let me ask you this, because I've maybe I'm seeing things a lot differently than you are, and and you're definitely uh the expert on China.
I am not, but I've been watching China build up their military, build up their military, build up their military.
Uh I see that the United States and other Western countries are making the same mistakes that Western European countries made with Russia, and that is they became dependent on the lifeblood of their economy, energy from Russia and Vladimir Putin, a hostile regime, hostile actor.
And America's become way too reliant on Chinese imports.
And so I'm not seeing a a weak China government here or or communist Chinese uh government at all.
I'm seeing that they're getting stronger militarily, and I see that they want to be the world's dominant economy, and I see that they're making every move possible to show their territorial ambitions, and they're doing it with impunity.
Yeah, I mean it's it's not only they want to dominate, have the dominant economy in the world, they want to rule the world.
And also, Sean, they want to rule Moon and Mars because we have Chinese officials since 2018 talking in public about how the near heavenly bodies should be considered part of the people's republic of China.
Um you're absolutely right, the Chinese military is getting stronger and stronger, but the Chinese economy is showing signs of contraction.
There's the debt crisis, the bank runs, the mortgage boycotts, all of it.
And so this is a regime that I think will lash out because it realizes it needs to make sure that the Chinese people don't focus on the problems at home because of this military misadventure abroad.
So do you think that maybe President Xi's reign is more tenuous than is being projected?
I think that it is more tenuous than people think, largely because even though he probably will get his unprecedented third term as general secretary of the Communist Party later this year, he probably will be surrounded by officials who don't share his views on, for instance, the economy because it's clear that his economic policies are failing and that people in the Communist Party don't believe that he should be running the economy.
This means there's going to be continued turmoil as Xi Jinping tries to get rid of officials he doesn't like, and that means a Chinese regime in turmoil is a dangerous China, especially dangerous to the United States.
See, I think the way to battle back against Putin would be for all Western countries to not buy any energy, any gas or oil from Vladimir Putin.
I think with China, I think every Western nation, because of their hostilities, they ought to stop all imports from China.
If they do, that'll destroy their economy, guaranteed, and that would precipitate the collapse that you're predicting.
Yeah, I'm a hundred percent with you, Sean.
We shouldn't be buying anything from China.
We shouldn't be investing in China.
We shouldn't be allowing Chinese parties to buy our ranch land and our farms.
We should be expropriating Chinese ranches and farms.
We need to cut ties because Sean, China uses every point of contact with us to take down our society.
And we're being overwhelmed.
We can lose our country, and until we can manage this relationship, that relationship needs to go to zero.
Well, I don't think it's just the United States that should take that posture.
I think it's all Western countries ought to unite.
Now there was a recent meeting with the chairman of the Joint Chiefs, General Milley, uh in Australia with his counterparts uh from twenty six different countries dealing with this very issue.
Uh I I mean, I talked to other people in in the defense Industry, they say that if we had a military conflict with China today, we we might very well lose.
That scares me.
Yeah, and we could very well lose because, among other things, China has some better weapons than we do, especially long-range cruise missiles.
They're developing hypersonic glide vehicles.
And we have a Navy which is broken.
And in general, our military is now being infected by woke ideology, which means we're training people to hate our country while we ask them to defend us.
This is serious.
You know, as Abraham Lincoln said and famously said, look, no, no one's ever going to be able to defeat the United States.
It's we're going to defeat ourselves.
And that's exactly what's happening.
That was a warning from Alexander Soldier Nietzsche many, many years ago.
Quick break more with Gordon Chang, author of the coming collapse of China and the Great U.S. China Tech War.
All right, we continue with Gordon Chang, his book, The Coming Collapse of China, The Great China U.S. Uh Tech War.
Well, let me ask you this.
How does China, how does President Qi how does how does he view uh Joe Biden versus how did he view Donald Trump?
What's the difference?
Well, the difference is that Xi Jinping does not respect Biden.
We know this from the Chinese propaganda, especially after the fall of Afghanistan.
The propaganda was very clear how the Chinese leadership views us.
And we reinforced this notion that the United States is weak when we failed to stop Vladimir Putin from invading Ukraine.
We know that China's been all in supporting the Russian war effort, and Biden complains about it in public, but he doesn't sanction the Chinese for obviously going to the aid of Russia, including supplying military information and perhaps military equipment, which looks like it's on the horizon.
That's because they don't respect the United States.
Not under Joe Biden for sure, but I do think he feared President Trump.
What are the odds Taiwan and re quote reunification as he calls it happens within the next year and a half?
It is much higher than most people think.
I think it's 95%.
It could be very high.
Um, and especially because um Xi Jinping has staked his legitimacy on taking Taiwan, and the Biden administration is not uh making those investments in our military that are necessary to stop the Chinese.
And there's always the possibility of an accident.
China, especially for the last two months, has engaged in an intensified campaign of dangerous intercepts in the air around China.
And one of those could become an accident.
What are the odds the Biden families compromised by China and Russia?
And that's the last question.
Um by Russia, I don't know, but by China, I think it's well over 50 percent.
Um I think we're in the 95% territory.
Um, if you're gonna find out more, it goes to 100%.
All right.
Thank you, Gordon Chang, author of the coming collapse of China and the Great U.S. China Tech War.
Uh appreciate your expertise and your knowledge.
Pretty frightening, pretty chilling when you dig down deep into it.
All right, 25 to the top of the hour.
Let's go to the uh phones for our final half hour of the program this Friday.
Kevin is in California.
What's up, Kevin?
How are you?
I am blessed, Sean.
Sean, I need to pause a bit because after listening to you uh interview Tim Scott, I mean, everybody just needs to pause and listen to the character and quality of that man, which I was unaware of, and how he is just giving accolades to John Monet and the Lord and to Herschel Walker and uh I mean, that guy is the most selfless, self-built, faith-filled model for somebody to grow up in America.
I mean, it doesn't matter your color.
I I feel there's nothing I can say, Sean right now to even follow that.
Why would I want to talk about something else?
That is a man right there.
I'm I'm in the same camp as you are.
I'm like amazed at his when you read his life story, all that he's been through, and how he came through it and how he grew out of it, and then the man he became, I mean, it's a f it's uh it's you gotta read his book.
I mean, I don't say it passionately every time, but this book, America Redemption Story.
This is this is a guy that's been through a lot in his life, and has an incredible outlook on life and uh uh a a lot of stuff that we all can learn from.
Sean, I'm a 62 year old white guy, raised by a single mother, never knew my dad, raised in poverty, raised on food stamps, you know, the whole nineteen yards.
I'm white, remember.
Um, and I was thrown out of the house when I was 14 and lived on the streets for years and met the Lord when I was 24 years old, and now I have raised a family and I have 150 people that work for me.
That story that Tim Scott has, which makes mine pale, um, really is the most important thing.
I was gonna talk about border, uh, you know, we need to put 85,000 instead of 85,000 IRS agents, let's do eighty-five thousand INF agents.
And that would be one that was a good thing.
I agree with you.
That would be one of the things.
By the way, all those IRS agents are gonna harass uh, you know, middle class Americans.
No, there's already a dozen, so don't worry about that.
I'm cover the you're everyone will just get the Hannity treatment, and I'm not joking about it, and I take it seriously so seriously that I have two accounting firms and a law firm go over my taxes every year.
I mean, I just I don't take any chances, I don't take any deductions that are even questionable, and my answer is always to just pay it and and by the way, they can see right out of the right off the top, most of my money comes right out of my paycheck.
So it's not like there's a l a lot of wiggle room on a lot of these things.
What am I gonna do?
Deduct my old underwear like Bill Clinton once did?
But but back to uh Tim Scott for one second here.
You know, I know we talk a lot about politics.
I will say this without faith in my life, I don't I would I don't know where I'd be.
I'd be lost.
I mean, like you, I mean, I c I kind of ran the streets as a young kid and was involved in stuff I never should have been involved in.
I always had a great work ethic because I always wanted money in my pocket, and I didn't do horrible things.
I mean, just normal, stupid, dumb things when you're not being watched by your parents who my p in my case, my parents are just working so much.
So um, you know, and I just I really feel blessed that that God put his hand on my life and I I try to pray every day and and thank God for my blessings.
I think that I've had an undeserved life.
I believe that with all my heart, and I appreciate things, especially as I get older more and more, love what I do every day, and I'm grateful for it.
Well, you know, uh read Bader O'Rourke's background and then compare it to Tim Scott's background, because I just I just happened to do that real quick.
And so that'll kind of give you a picture of uh, you know, where this country could go and where this country should go.
But uh again, Tim Scott, nothing I could say uh should take anything away from I mean I'm a He's the real deal.
I'm telling you, I met him.
I met his mother um a while back.
I mean, the the woman that literally bravely took hi him and his brother out of their home because it was an abusive situation that he described right right at the onset of the book, and it it was bad.
And then how many people do you think are facing this right now that listened to Tim Scott's testimony and it gave them encouragement and it gave them strength and it gave them hope.
And yours too, Sean, yours too.
You know, I don't get that when I walk away from I and look at uh partisan, nonpartisan, it doesn't matter what what party.
But when I hear a Kamala Harris, uh Ocasio Cortez, uh Bedro Rourke, any of these people, with few exceptions, when I hear them talk, I don't walk away from that with like, wow, there's got hope, and wow, I can do it, and the God's got my back, and I can stand up and I can overcome.
When I get done listening to Tim Scott, when I get done listening to Sean Hannity, frankly, um, I feel like I can do it.
I know I can do it.
You can't what so I know I've done it.
So I'll I'll tell you this, and then this is maybe a secret of life that is the stating the obvious.
And and maybe it's cliche.
But I don't know anybody that hasn't dedicated themselves to the and committed themselves to working hard every day at whatever it is that they're doing that has that has not been successful to some degree.
There's different there's different, I guess, degrees of success and how you define success.
But if you put your mind and heart towards, okay, I've got to work that I'm not here to, you know, just just sit in the sun all day.
Um I have a hard time doing it on on vacation.
I can't stand it.
I you know, how I know people that sit on a beach all day and I want to blow my brains out sitting out there.
I I can't do it.
It's impossible for me to I'm there for twenty minutes and I'm getting antsy and I want to get up and walk.
So um I just feel like uh I think work for me was therapeutic and a blessing, and I think it is for most people.
And it doesn't matter what work you're doing, as long as you're doing something.
We were talking about this yesterday.
I talked about people that retire.
And you know, you ask them in the beginning, how is it?
Oh, not I don't have the alarm clock, and I don't have to get up in the morning, and I don't even know what I'm gonna do for that day.
And maybe I'll go play golf, maybe I'll go fishing, and maybe I'll just read a book.
Whatever they happen to say.
Then you ask them three months later, how's it going?
It's going, it's pretty good.
I'm you know, I'm adjusting to it.
And then you ask them six months later, and like 90% of the people that I've met.
Now, some people really fall in love with the life, uh, they'll say, Oh man, I'm about I'm bored out of my mind.
And I just think that we are meant to serve others in in whatever capacity, every any job you work at, you're providing a goods or services for people.
And there's something about contributing.
I'll never forget when I was just painting houses or you know, inside or outside, whatever it happened to be, and I'd finish a job, maybe I painted a room that day.
And at the end of the day, you know, you just you're just so locked into.
I used to move, move, move, move, move.
I was always pushing myself.
And at the end of the day, all of a sudden you're cleaning up, cleaning my brushes, whatever I'm doing.
I take a look at the room and I scan it, and I had a sense of satisfaction that I accomplished something.
And that was deeply rewarding to me.
And you know, when I worked in restaurants, it was the same thing.
You know, just kick ass for the customers and run around and get them everything they want and make them happy.
When I was a bartender, I I prided myself in trying to make the best frozen drinks, or whatever it happened to be.
And, you know, it's just whatever you do for a living, if you do it with passion and put your heart into it, um, I I just think it comes back at you in ways you can't imagine.
You're causing it to causing what?
You are encouraging, strengthening, and uh just moving people in the right direction.
You have never lost sight of that.
And this isn't the praise Sean Hannity Dave.
Listen, if it wasn't this way, I would love just telling you it.
You know, I I enjoy telling people where they need to change.
But in this case, Sean, Sean, you guys, Tim Scott, guys like you, you encourage us.
Like I said, I'm a six-year-old guy.
I I had faced that, you know.
Should I retire?
I agree with you.
You got to bring value to the community.
There's no such thing as retirement.
Sean, keep it up.
And side note, Linda's your sidekick and she does a great job.
And I don't think you'd be as good if it wasn't for her.
Just saying.
No, I wouldn't be as aggravated either.
She's she's really good at that part.
Anyway, I appreciate your kind words.
I really do.
Thank you very much.
Uh 800-941 Sean.
Did you hear that compliment, Linda?
I tell you, I I think the audience needs to keep drinking early in the day.
Their judgment, they're just so kind.
And I can't thank them enough.
This because caller is right.
Everybody, I look, if you believe in natural law, which conservatives we believe in, and I talked about this at CPAC yesterday.
And that is that rights come from God, not from government.
Then if God created every man, woman, and child, you're born with a purpose.
You're born with gifts.
Everybody has special, unique gifts.
Like I'm not an artist, I'm not a musician.
Um, I don't have I I look at talents that other people have, and I'm just mesmerized by their athletic talent, musical talent, whatever it happens to be.
Your talent to aggravate me is is unprecedented.
Um you have it, my kids have it.
It's incredible.
I I have to say I'm in good company with your kids and and sometimes your sisters, and I feel like, you know.
No, the shit that yeah, they're part of the group too.
Everyone likes it.
I don't know.
Listen, you know, we're all family, we've been together a long time.
You know, I was thinking that.
It's a lot of fun.
Piss me off.
You're welcome.
I'm glad I really appreciate it.
Am I gonna have to change the uh the open so that it's the Linda and Sean show?
Oh my god, never.
Never are you talking about a lot of work.
No talk radio with Linda.
Definitely not.
Chris with in Pennsylvania, what's up, Chris?
Hey, Sean.
Uh just calling in.
I heard your show yesterday with um Dr. Oz uh talking about uh Fetterman.
Yeah.
And a lot of people here in Pennsylvania, I don't think they remember this, but back in 2020, When uh the election thing was going on.
It was uh the election between uh Senator Brewster and Zickarelli.
Uh there was uh a lot of discrepancy.
There was uh margin sixty-seven votes, I believe it was.
And they ended up ceding uh Senator Brewster.
But uh the GOP put on the brakes because Zicarelli brought up uh the point that in Allegheny County, you know, they counted the mail and ballots that were not dated, they weren't signed, and in Westmoreland County, they threw them out.
Zicarelli wanted uh the court to decide that you know there should be consistency across the board.
So they didn't want to swear in Senator Brewster right away until the course made a rule.
So during the swearing in proceedings, you know, the GOP stated that they didn't want to do that to the rule.
Well, Mr. Fetterman had an absolute melt.
I mean, he was screaming, hollering during temporary.
The guy the guy's a nut.
I mean, what's happening?
Everyone look, I know there were polls out that showed that Mastriano and Oz are behind and people are in a panic over Pennsylvania.
I'm not in I'm not where some people are.
Now, uh there might come a point that if they don't run good campaigns, it could be you know, it's maybe time to hit the panic button, but there's plenty of time between now and election day.
And I think the one thing that I don't think people know who John Fetterman is.
For the inquirer in Philly to go forward and talk about him being a trust fund brat and and have this caller earlier today talk about what a horrific mayor he was.
He's also been a horrific lieutenant governor, especially look at crime, just that one statistic and the homicide rates, and now at a record high.
What has he done to lift a finger to keep people in in suburbs like Philadelphia safe and secure?
Nothing.
He hasn't done a thing.
What has he done to help those people?
Nothing.
And the people of Pennsylvania, and I think this is gonna show up in in the election.
I think there's there's going to be a dramatic shift in this country in terms of if you look demographically, certain groups tend to vote, again, breaking down demographically this way for this party or this way for that party.
You see large numbers of women, Hispanics, young people, African Americans, they're saying goodbye to the Democratic Party.
They don't like their their no-bail laws.
They don't like their defund the police efforts, they don't like you know, schools that are failing their children.
They don't like high gas prices, they don't like record high inflation.
They don't like open borders either because they believe in the rule of law.
And and I think that this could be a transformative moment.
And if Republicans play their cards right, but don't underestimate their ability to screw it up, this would be an opportunity for a massive democr demographic shift.
I mean, you know, look at this, you know, Bill Beck broke, stupid bill that Manchin and and Schumer put together.
It's taxing the middle class.
And to get Kristen Cinema's vote, they they had to put in provisions to protect wealthy people, the very people they say they hate so much.
So it's just one big lie after another, and I think it's been a false narrative that has gone on too long.
Where's the crime?
Where do we see the most crime, the most violent crime in blue states and blue cities run by Democrats for decades?
Where do you see the worst schools in blue states, blue cities run by Democrats for decades?
They have failed the base of their party.
And now I think the Republican Party has made a turn, starting with Donald Trump, that they're the party of working men and women, the forgotten men and women that we talked about all throughout 2015 and 16.
And I think it's gonna make a big difference.
Uh got a roll.
Have a good weekend.
Appreciate you being with us.
You know, right now every business is trying to nickel and dime you.
You see the impact of inflation every time you fill up your gas tank, every time you go to a store, you're paying more than you've ever paid.
Uh these are rough times financially.
