All right, hour to Sean Hannity show on a Friday, 800-941 Sean, our number.
You want to be a part of the program.
Many articles out today.
I've got six of them in front of me here.
One was in the New York Post, Michael Gonzalez, in a column that he wrote, he's a senior fellow at the Heritage Foundation, saying adios Democrats, Latinos fleeing woaxers for the GOP.
And it goes on to explain the recent brouhaha, Jill Biden's comments comparing Hispanic Americans to tacos and the purchase of conservative Spanish language radio stations, apparently all over the country, with George Soros' money and this idea that somehow the monopoly of Hispanic American votes will go to the Democratic Party.
There's one example after another that's not happening.
Foxnews.com, media takes notice as Hispanics ditched Democratic Party with a once-in-a-generation political realignment.
Republicans have gained ground in every demographic besides college-educated women.
We have another piece, more shining examples of how Democrats and the media treat minorities who are conservative.
Democratic congressman by the name of Ruben Galego accused the Arizona Republican congressional candidate of, quote, being Latina when it suits her.
Wow.
Who would ever say stuff like this?
What is wrong with this woke Democratic Party?
But that's what, you know, he's out there saying, accusing an Arizona Republican congressional candidate, oh, you're Latina only when it suits you.
What the hell is that?
Unbelievable.
You know, if you look, you know, what was one of the great successes prior to the pandemic of Donald Trump's economic policies?
That demographic groups that had previously been left behind by Democratic policies.
You know, if you look at African Americans, Hispanic Americans, Asian Americans, women in the workplace, youth unemployment, African-American youth unemployment, record low numbers that nobody had ever seen before.
A truly equal opportunity society for everybody, a shining city on a hill.
New York Post, Democrats are in denial about why they are losing Hispanic voters.
And I can keep going on.
the Hill is slammed for tweeting that the GOP hopes to quote steal Hispanic votes from Democrats following Jill Biden's ill-advised breakfast taco remark.
In case you don't remember, let's play it.
Raoul helped build this organization with the understanding that the diversity of this community, as distinct as the Bogadas of the Bronx, as beautiful as the blossoms of Miami, and as unique as the breakfast tacos here in San Antonio, is your strength.
What is a Bogada?
Obviously, she meant bodega, but what's, I mean, just like the breakfast tacos here, Senator Marco Rubio just tweeted out a picture of a taco.
That's all he said.
It's all he tweeted out, and it said everything.
Recently elected Congresswoman Myra Flores joins us today to talk about all of this.
She has made comments on this and responded to this herself.
By the way, if you might recall, it was Congresswoman Flores that won the seat in Texas recently that had been held by Democrats for over 150 years.
She joins us now.
Congresswoman, number one, congratulations.
How's your time getting acclimated to the swamp going?
Thank you so much for having me.
And I'm doing great here in Washington, but I'm missing my family.
I definitely want to be back in South Texas in my home.
Well, I want you to be home too, but for selfish reasons, I'm glad you are where you are because of the fight for the values that we share.
What has been the response to you joining the Republican caucus?
Well, you know, the Republican Party has been very supportive here and also very supportive in South Texas, but the Democrat Party hasn't been very supportive.
They now want to send me back to Mexico.
They want to now send me back to Mexico because this immigrant is not obedient to them and is not standing for their narrative.
And Joe Biden and the liberal left are completely out of touch with our community, and they don't see us as Americans.
They see us as votes.
They don't care about the Hispanic community, but the Hispanic community has had enough.
And they think that by giving us tackles and playing Latin music, that's all it's going to take for us to vote for them.
It's not.
They're going to have to get to work.
You know, what's fascinating?
Over the years, I've interviewed conservative African Americans that have attempted to join the Congressional Black Caucus, and they're denied admission because they're conservative and they don't share exactly the party line of Democrats.
Now, if it's the Congressional Black Caucus, why are you eliminating black Americans that happen to also be conservative?
That seems discriminatory to me.
It really is.
And we're going to try as well.
And let's see if they allow us to join them.
But I doubt it.
And I think it's important for them to allow us because conservative Hispanics deserve to have a voice.
And I actually represent the Hispanic community.
I stand for God, family, country, and hard work.
And that is who we are as a Hispanic community.
It's instilled in us.
We're conservative by nature.
And I believe it's so important that Hispanics have the right voice, the real voice, in the Hispanic caucus in here in Washington.
You know, it's amazing because you're saying all of this.
It really comes down to a person's heart, right?
It comes down to the content of their character, what's in their mind, heart, and soul.
As a Christian, I believe we're all created by the same God, and it's God gives us natural rights and talents and abilities that would be every human being born, and government usually tends to limit that rights.
But one of the things that really separates us from so many other authoritative regimes is that we believe rights do come from God, that we're all endowed by our Creator, isn't it?
Absolutely.
I would not be here if it wasn't because of God.
I live in prayer, I walk in prayer, and it is because of him that we were able to flip Texas District 34 that has never been flipped in over 100 years.
It was God, it was our hard work and dedication that gave us a victory.
And I will continue to always put God and family in my community first.
And I believe that if I do that, and if I continue to stay focused on the issues that matter to my district, that we're going to be successful in November, because nothing that I'm doing should be political.
Border security shouldn't be political.
Protecting the unborn shouldn't be political.
Bringing down the cost of food, rent, none of that should be political.
That's something that we should be able to do.
I can add gasoline to that.
We're paying record high prices.
You know, what was your reaction to Joe Biden's comments?
Honestly, it doesn't surprise me, but I just felt that it was so disrespectful because once again, they think that that's all it takes for them to obtain our vote.
Hillary Clinton, you know, brought up the salsa, the spicy salsa.
I don't forget that.
She carries a spicy hot sauce with her.
Come on, nonsense.
And now they're comparing us to tacos.
We're not a variety of tacos.
You know, I love tacos.
So let me tell you, I personally thought, I was like, she's been following my Instagram.
She knows I love tacos.
And I do love tacos, but it's going to take a lot more than that to obtain my vote.
I'll be honest.
I only like my own.
I make them myself.
I make all my food myself, but I'm pretty much a paleo eater.
So I forget the taco part and just cook, grilled some onions and avocado oil and put some chopped meat and put it on a plate.
That's how I eat it.
That's my version of a taco.
Let me ask you this, because you just had your district change shifted, gerrymandered.
Is that in any way going to impact your ability to win reelection in November?
Absolutely not.
The district does not change the values of who we are.
In South Texas, Cameron County remains to be in the district.
Cameron County pretty much has the biggest population.
We were able to flip it for the first time in history, Cameron County in the special election.
Also, Isago, we lost Isago by less than 200 votes.
We're very confident that through our hard work and dedication, now we're the incumbent.
We're going to be able to raise the funds that we need to get the message across our district.
So we're very confident, but we take no one for granted.
We understand that it's going to take a lot of hard work, and hard work is in our DNA.
So we're ready to go.
All right.
More with newly elected Texas Congresswoman.
Myra Flores is with us.
The one thing that I took out of these articles today that I totally agree with, that there is a chance for a once-in-a-generation political realignment.
I look at the Democratic Party today as the party of the elite in this country.
I look at my conservative values.
I represent the values of working men and women in this country, the people that really do make this country great.
That's my background.
That's my experience.
My grandparents came here legally poor.
My parents both grew up very poor.
They worked hard their entire lives.
They worked themselves literally to death.
And all to make it so that people like myself, my sisters can stand on their shoulders and have a better life.
I think they took great satisfaction knowing that we all were able to do good things in our life before they passed away many, many years ago.
But these are the values that I think all good Americans share.
And I see that there is an opportunity for a new American majority, and that would be a Republican Party that is going to stand for law and order, safety and security, so every American can pursue happiness, one that will control our borders and support legal immigration.
Congresswoman, I don't care where people come from.
Do it legally.
We need a background check to make sure you don't have radical associations.
We need a health check during a pandemic.
And you need to be able to show that you'll be self-reliant and not be a burden financially on the American people.
And then my answer is welcome to America.
It's really that simple for me.
And if the Republican Party stands for these things, lower taxes, incentivizing work, believes in the values of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, I think this is an opportunity to have a massive political realignment in the country.
It's a huge opportunity.
And the Republican Party does stand with the everyday American people, with the hardworking people.
Stands with God and family and hard work.
That is who we are.
And I'm so proud to be a Republican, but I'm also so proud to be here in Washington representing the people.
I've always told Texas District 34, you know, not to be lawyer to no political party, that I'm a proud Republican, but not to be loyal to a political party, to be loyal to God, to their family, and to their community, and to vote on their values.
Never put your values aside for a political party.
And the party that is standing with those, that stands for those values is the Republican Party.
And we're getting an amazing response, amazing support from our district.
And I believe that it's going to be the biggest year for the Republican Party coming this November.
But most importantly, it's the American people that it's going to win in November.
What did you think of when you saw the videotape of Nancy Pelosi kind of brushing your daughter away in that photo up?
To be honest with you, I was just looking at my daughter and just so proud of her and how she behaved.
But I also realized that they claim to, you know, support immigrants, but they don't want us near them.
They want to push us aside.
They want to keep us down here.
They don't want us to rise.
They don't want us to speak and have our own voice.
They don't want us to be independent and be successful in this country.
They want to keep us poor so they can continue controlling our vote.
That's what the Democrat Party wants to do with immigrants and the Hispanic community here.
But we're done with that.
We can also become congressmen and congresswomen.
And I'm not going to allow the Democrat Party to take that away from me.
They keep saying, oh, she's not the first Congresswoman.
I am the first Congresswoman that was born in Mexico and is a proud American and now represents the U.S. Congress.
That's the American dream.
And they want to pretend that it's not happening.
It's already happening.
By the way, Congresswoman, if I hear one more election that Republicans and conservatives are racist and sexist and misogynist and homophobic and xenophobic and transphobic and want dirty air and water and want grandma and grandpa thrown over a cliff after only feeding them dog food and cat food, which is the Democratic playbook every election, my head spins.
You know, literally, I'm going to be like the exorcist off my head turn around 360 degrees and I'll projectile vomit with that because it's such a lie.
And we congratulate you.
High enough notice.
And we really look forward to your next victory, which will be soon.
And we're so glad you're there.
And you're always welcome on our airways anytime.
Thank you so much.
God bless you.
God bless you too.
800-941 Sean, our number, you want to be a part of the program?
and we'll get to your calls coming up next.
All right, 25 to the top of the hour on this Friday, 800-941-SHOT.
Sean, you want to be a part of the program?
All right.
Let's go to Baltimore, WCBM, and say hi to Gino.
Gino, hi, how are you?
Glad you called.
What's going on in the great city of Baltimore?
Well, some parts of Baltimore.
Some parts are not so great.
That's true.
Hi, Sean.
Thanks for taking my call.
What's going on?
Well, I was wondering, you talk to people in the political world a lot more than I do.
And what I was wondering was, have you heard anything at all about if there was a plan that our administration had, our current administration, for switching from fossil fuels to green energy?
Because it would seem that it's a monumental task to accomplish it.
It would seem that there would have to be a plan, but I don't remember ever hearing anybody say, this is how we're going to go from using fossil fuels to green energy.
And this is how we're going to lessen.
You're asking a great question.
Because look at the common, you know, we have that idiot genius that thinks she's a genius, Granholm, and she had a giggling moment like our giggling vice president when asked about the price of oil and gas, but no answer.
And she has no answer.
What is the grandma's plan to increase oil production in America?
All right, that's our answer.
So we don't have an answer.
Now, you ask a great question.
Then you have the other genius, Mayor Pete, Mr. Transportation Secretary, saying, well, prices are going to remain high until we become energy independent with renewables.
And nobody follows up to ask your question.
What are the renewables?
Okay, so you're talking about solar.
You're talking about wind.
You're talking about electric vehicles.
Well, where does the power from your charging station come from?
How much fossil fuel involvement is there in running an electric car?
Turns out this quite a bit as we've gone into great detail on this program.
So the answer is, is for whatever reason, they have made some determination that sucking up to countries that hate us, from Russia to Iran, from Iran to Saudi Arabia, Saudi Arabia through OPEC, then to even Venezuela, that somehow we're better off importing the lifeblood of our economy because there isn't an alternative.
There's not one on the horizon that we see.
And making Americans suffer needlessly because it makes them feel better, what, that we're not producing the energy domestically?
That makes them very stupid people.
And you're asking me, well, Hannity, how could somebody be that dumb?
I don't have an answer for that because these policies are crushing Americans.
I started the show today, you know, talking about the real impact on the American people.
I mean, and you look at the money and you look at the cost.
You know, 83% of prime day shoppers said inflation and rising prices are changing the things that they buy and the food that they eat.
You know, 34% of people surveyed, I've been waiting to buy something, an item at a lower price.
By the way, there's something that I have been wanting to buy that I like.
It's a pretty expensive item.
It's a high-end item.
And I put it off because it's too expensive right now.
And I could afford it, but my mind still thinks back to the, you know, it's been etched in my brain, tattooed in my brain, you know, my thinking from when I lived paycheck to paycheck, which was many years of my early adult life.
You know, 28% of Americans say surveyed, passed on an item that they thought was a great deal, but not a necessity.
22%, I looked at prices elsewhere before deciding to buy an Amazon.
18%, I stocked up on items that were on sale.
13%, I didn't buy something I was planning to buy.
And so people now are becoming smarter shoppers.
People are looking for other ways to increase their income.
I told you about one food bank CEO worried that there may be a food shortage in the future.
They can't keep up.
AP is pointing out long lines back up at U.S. food banks as inflation hits a new high.
I got a call from a friend of mine, and I said, anytime you guys get in trouble, he works at the local food bank in my town.
I said, anytime you need help, call me.
And he calls me, and I said, done.
No problem.
I'm always glad to help out.
I've been blessed beyond anything I deserve.
But this is not a community where you would expect a big line of people at a food bank.
The demand is so massive that they need real big sums of money to help all these people out.
And this is now every single state, every city, every town.
People that, you know, and some people pull up.
I've told this story before, Gino.
They pull up in nice cars and you think, well, they must be taking advantage of the system.
They're not.
They can't make ends meet.
And their cars probably are going to be repossessed in the next year.
And then beyond that, then the housing market's going to crash.
And then many people will probably lose their homes on top of that, too.
I mean, this is going to get far worse than anybody sees today.
That's what I'm trying to warn you, my beloved audience.
But I hope that answers your question because it doesn't make sense what you're asking.
Yeah, I mean, there's no logic to it.
So, I mean, it does answer my question.
I just didn't know if there was something that I hadn't heard about.
But apparently there is no plan.
I guess an analogy would be, I think American people feel like if you called somebody over to build a fence in your backyard, it almost seems like everybody shared up in the backyard and they got there.
And then they're like, well, we're going to need screws.
Let's go get screws.
And then they get back to the job site and they're like, well, we're going to need wood too.
Let's go get wood.
There's just nothing in place to substantiate what they're trying to do.
Nothing.
There is no alternative.
And yet they somehow feel better about themselves by begging these dictators and these rogue regimes, even the number one state sponsor of terror.
I don't know.
I don't have an answer for it.
Gino, God bless you.
Hang in there, buddy.
Wyatt is in Colorado.
Hey, Wyatt, how are you?
Glad you called.
I've always loved the name Wyatt.
I know I misnamed his son Wyatt, and he's a great kid.
I've known him since he was young, and he's actually become a real top-ranked cowboy roper, and he's out on the road a lot.
He's doing phenomenal.
Well, it's funny you say that because I'm actually a team roper myself, and I compete in rodeos and do that.
So, yeah.
Have you ever run into you ever run into Wyatt Imas?
I have.
I have actually a couple times.
Now, I haven't talked to him in a while, but I actually bought advertising on his shirt.
He had a Hannity patch on his shirt.
Oh, wow.
Yeah, I just saw him behind the shoots one day.
I was like, hey, I recognize you.
And he's like, yeah, how's it going?
And we had a little conversation, talked about how our steers just didn't cooperate that day.
But that's rodeo for you.
I think that's awesome.
I can't ride.
Listen, I was on the border one day.
We were on horseback with Border Patrol.
And my horse took off on me.
I mean, and I rode horses a little bit when I was a kid.
And I literally was barely hanging on for dear life.
And this horse was flying.
And the border guys literally had one on each side, get in front of the horse and stop it for me, or else I was dead.
I was going to be flung 500 feet away.
Oh, yeah.
I know how that feeling is.
By the way, I have the videotape of it.
I don't think I've ever played it, but we have it.
Oh, man.
I want to see that.
I know.
Everybody likes to see me look stupid.
I don't know why that is.
My staff loves playing tapes of me from 26 and a half years ago when I started on Hannity and Combs.
I'm like, stop showing that.
It's embarrassing.
Oh, man.
It's a good laugh.
It's a good laugh.
And everyone needs a good laugh nowadays.
I agree.
What's going on?
What's on your mind today?
So I just wanted to comment on how you were right about the construction business taking a nosedive with the inflation rates.
I currently work in construction right now, and my dad works construction as well.
And we have noticed that we are starting to slow way down.
And usually in the summertime, we're pretty busy because it's summer, like we got longer days.
The days are warmer, so we're able to be outside and work.
And now we're having three, four slow days out of a week.
And it's hurting us because we're like, well, our company needs to be.
And prior to that, you were probably six months booked in advance and couldn't even take any more calls to book out further, right?
Yep, correct.
You are correct on that one.
All right.
Do you want me to give you the reality of what's going to happen next?
Because it's not good.
So it's going to get worse before it gets better.
And I'm assuming it gets better, but that will be dependent on the American people.
What's going to happen is they're now talking about a full basis point increase in interest rates again.
All right.
That's going to stop dead in its tracks all new construction, all new home building.
It's going to stop the sale of existing homes on top of it.
People aren't going to give up their 3% mortgage and get a 7% 30-year fix because they can't afford it.
It's going to push people out of the home buying marketplace, and home values are going to plummet.
And that for most people is their biggest investment on top of their IRAs, their retirement accounts that have already gotten the crap kicked out of them.
And that's probably going to go down further as well.
So what happened because I lived through this myself to a certain extent.
When I got into construction, it was right when Reagan's economic, Reagan was pulling the country.
Took him two years when he put his tax cut plan in place and cut back on regulation and when he got to be president and sworn in in 1981.
And then on the other end of that, two years is when the economy started turning around.
And that's when I started my own construction business.
At that point, I got super busy.
At that point, I was working 16 hours a day.
I was a kid.
I didn't even know what I was doing half the time.
I started as a painting contractor, learned how to hang wallpaper from a buddy of mine that went to a Vermont wallpaper school.
Then we, you know, out of necessity, because nobody could hire, I used to, then I learned how to do sheetrock.
Then I learned how to lay tile.
Then I did reconstruction.
I mean, it's amazing what I was able to teach myself, but it was only because the demand was so great, big contractors weren't taking on these small jobs that I would take on.
And I ended up always figuring it out.
But once things turn around, it's going to take some time.
You're really going to have to get creative in these years and probably do maybe adding a little painting to your construction company, maybe doing odd jobs and stuff like that, because that's all that's going to be available for a while.
Yeah, yeah, we actually, you talk about painting, we actually took up last summer painting connexes and office trailers for companies.
So that's being smart and creative on your end.
That's a really cool idea.
And there are other things too that you'll be able to do.
Look, everybody, things break.
Let's just be honest.
I have such a good relationship with the contractors that I do business with.
I try to always be great to them.
And, you know, for example, one day I had a leak and it was like, oh, crap, it's going through the ceiling.
The ceiling's getting destroyed.
And yeah, so I call my guy, said, I need a favor.
He goes, what's up?
And tell him what's going on.
Comes over.
And you know what?
Because I established such a good relationship with him.
And I actually pay my bills.
If you pay your bills, it's amazing.
You can get a contractor anytime you want.
But he did it more as a friend thing.
So, you know, but for new home construction, it's going to stop for a while.
And, you know, what you might be able to do is when home prices predictably go down, you might be able to buy that fixer-upper and maybe turn it into either a rental or, you know, that you can profit on every month or, you know, maybe do a quick turnaround because it's so below market value.
You might be able to do something like that too.
Yeah, that's actually a really good idea.
I never thought of that.
I should probably look into it.
Yeah.
All right.
Well, hang in there.
Let us know how you're doing.
If you see Wyatt Imus on the rodeo run, tell him I said hello, right?
I will do that for you.
Thank you.
All right, my friend.
Ride safer than I do.
800-941 Sean is our number.
Glenda, look, and you'd love to see that video, wouldn't you?
I didn't even know that video existed.
When is this?
Oh, man.
It makes me look so bad.
But when is that from?
When I was, you know, I went down to the border 15 times.
I'm fully aware of it.
I'm just wondering what trip.
I mean, it's like, I feel like that would have been something we would have talked about.
No, I show me on horseback with the border patrol, but I don't show the horse taking off on me.
I don't show me nearly falling off and looking like a jackass.
No, I didn't show that part.
You never even told me about that, though.
Like, I know nothing about that.
The TV staff knows all about it.
Trust me.
I kind of feel like we're all one team.
I have to now go and like.
Well, we kind of are one team.
No, no, no, no, no, no.
Because I know what you're going to do.
You're going to then get it and then post it on Hannity.com.
I have no idea why you would think I would do that.
That sounds insane and outlandish.
I would never do such a thing.
Yeah, I would never do that to you.
Are you going to confess when you go to church on Sunday for lunch?
Absolutely.
Absolutely.
All right, but so you admit you're lying.
I would never admit that I post it in 10 seconds.
Stop lying.
You died.
Please tweet it out on my own account, which I have no access to.
I'm exercising my American rights.
Thank you very much.
