Time Text
I'm going to go ahead and get the camera.
We're getting to breaking news.
We've got a live shot there.
Hello there, you Awakening Wanderers.
Thanks for joining me today for Stay Free with Russell Brand and what a special show it is.
We'll be with you on YouTube for 15 minutes before me and George Janko get right into it in Christianity.
Since becoming Christian, I've gotten a lot of ire and a lot of flack from the same legacy media institutions and interests that want to bring down any dissenting voice and don't want any of us to become awakened and powerful, potent opponents of their disgusting project of damnation.
Me and George Janko talk about that but George Janko has been a Christian all
his life. He grew up Christian, you might know him because he was part of Impulsive with
Logan Paul for a while and he talks about the compromises of Hollywood, a subject that
I know about. This chat's been up on Locals for a while by the way, that's why it's worth
becoming an Awakened Wonder. Without further ado, here he is, George Janko, delving into Christianity.
Remember to like and subscribe and to support us in all the ways that you can. Here's
George Janko. So I was dealing with with something. For those of you guys that don't know what
we're talking about.
I was going through his Bible because I Like to determine which Bible I have to make sure that they don't take out important things and I was reading out of a Bible verse It's in Matthew 17, and it should be 21.
Yeah, 1721.
However, this goes not without prayer and fasting.
So basically throughout the gospel, Jesus is like teaching his disciples how to be like
him and cast out demons and do all of these things.
And so there was one time the disciples are trying and they just can't get this demon
out.
And then Jesus came and he's like, bounce.
And then the demon was like, when it was gone.
And he's like, yo, what's up?
Why can't I do that?
And he said, sometimes you got to fast.
And so there's always a position in our life where it's like, man, this mountain, no matter
how many times I tell it to move it's not moving at all.
And I need it to get out of my life.
And so I think what happens is God puts this in our way.
So that way, when we tried everything in our life, everyone we know, every position of power, and it still doesn't move.
And then we fast and we just give it to the king and say, you deal with it.
And then it's gone.
There's no doubting where it came from.
So, when I go to Bibles, I want to make sure that this is there because usually it's taken out.
Read us the verse, please.
Oh, I'm so scared of reading in front of people.
If you don't mind.
And you have such a beautiful accent.
You've got a beautiful accent.
So, which verse is it, my friend?
Matthew, it's going to be chapter 17.
So, right on that other part.
Are you going to watch the whole chapter, or just that part?
No, just read that little bit.
Oh, okay.
Yeah, perfect.
Go ahead.
Shall I?
And you're saying, is it chapter 17, verse 17?
No, it's chapter 17, verse 21.
Thank you.
No, it's chapter 17, verse 21.
Thank you, well done.
How be it is, and I'll just give you a bit of a lead into it
just for me to get the context, because I don't know.
I appreciate that.
This is Matthew 17, 20.
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief, for verily I say unto you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence the yonder place, and it shall remove, and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
So think about that.
Imagine why the enemy would take that part out.
Imagine describing that you could, with the faith, could have, like you could have a mustard seed of faith and you could tell a mountain to leave.
But imagine taking out the importance of prayer and fasting.
Fasting is crazy!
When you dive into the terms of fasting, like, the first time I actually took fasting seriously, I realized how big of a piece of crap I am.
Because when I was angry and tired and exhausted, I was angry and I wasn't acting Christ-like.
So it was hilarious.
Are we only good people because we're satisfied of what our surroundings are and what we eat and how we move and how we talk?
I love that because right now I'm a little bit tired.
You know, and I sort of feel that, like, that it don't take too much, like, for my conditions to alter before I become, like, I have to recognize how conditional my good grace is and my will is.
And I also like that you're pointing out, actually, discipline is what you're pointing out, and discipleship, you know.
One of the things I'm sort of interested in incorporating into my new life as a Christian is some of the sort of practices that I learned while pursuing kind of new age practice, I suppose you'd have to call it.
For example, I do like a lot of breath work and a lot of that kind of stuff.
You're such a perfectionist.
You're going to do such great things, George.
I watch it in you all the time.
You don't stop, do you, mate?
It's good skills.
I just want to make sure what you're saying is important.
I want them to hear it.
It's very good.
It's very good to care that much.
It's very good.
So, like, this particular point, and the fact that you sort of have noticed that people take it out of the Bible.
Like, you've read translations, I'm guessing, and you're like, hey, where's that bit?
And actually what it's pretty specifically outlining is this is a practice.
This isn't just like, as long as you cross your fingers and wish hard enough, Then one day the mountains will move.
It's essentially saying if you devote yourself and dedicate yourself and deny yourself stimulation and even nutrition, then a power will come unto you that's previously inaccessible.
Amen.
I think that's really interesting and it's like, you know, look, when we were having our conversation a moment ago in your podcast, which I can't tell you how much I enjoyed and how beautiful it is to be in the light of you and your partner.
Thank you so much.
And it's only sort of now that I'm starting to feel what I can actually have to identify as a kind of
envy of like seeing you and your partner, sort of what seems at least from my perspective,
like, oh, at the beginning of life and to be so abundant and fruitful
and please God about to undertake on the journey of having children and all stuff.
And I feel like, oh, I felt it.
And in your energy and in your enthusiasm, because there are points where I feel bright jaded,
So it's interesting that that's come up now.
But anyway, in our conversation, when I was talking about Luke 10.18, and like, I saw Satan fall from heaven, the thing that grabs me about that, mate, is the idea that Christ is present at the point when Satan falls, when the phenomena of individualism occurs.
And that too, though, is a passage about The apostles or disciples will have just, they've just come back that time from having been casting out demons, and they're enthusiastic, and they go, we did it!
We've been throwing out the demons, all 72 of them, not just even the 12.
72 of them coming back, we've been throwing... As long as you remember that you can move among serpents and scorpions...
When it's because your name is written in heaven not because of stuff you're doing so and this practice here
that you're outlining of Fasting and prayer they're both sort of kind of forms of
submission in a sense Would you say always and tell me like it is that's like an
and like I mentioned myself because I'm bang into Breath work, and I've done a lot of meditation all of these
new age things on the way to Christianity
What do you think about those Christian practices like fasting and do you think there are other esoteric practices that fit within Christianity?
For example, breathwork and forms of meditation.
I think we all fall short.
No one's perfect, right?
So if that's the case, then we're all doing something wrong.
I take from all types of religions, I just make sure that I worship the right God.
Because their practice might not be wrong.
They might be honoring God, and we might be disrespecting God, but thinking we're honoring God.
So I try to not think that I know it all, because every day that I read a passage of the Bible, It correlates so much of what Jesus is saying in some form of other religion.
And the way I see it is, you see how many doors there is here?
Like behind me and behind you?
Well, the devil's trick is just one weapon.
It's deception and separation and lies.
So, he falsely puts doors so you choose those doors.
So, as mankind, if I wanted multiple wives, then I'd suit myself into a religion that I could have multiple wives.
But that doesn't mean that their religion has things that God's not pleased with.
So, my idea is, I can't be a hypocrite, and I could learn from my neighbor, and how they worship, and how they please their Lord.
But that doesn't mean that all of their traditions are right.
I grew up in a home where we worship Jesus, but we also did a lot of traditions.
So I was just kind of like, when I started reading the gospel for myself, I was like, whoa, we shouldn't be doing this, yet we still do this.
But they still honor God.
So in my mind, I think what the theory that I'm trying to say is, We're trying to mirror Jesus, but sometimes we fall short.
And so if I could give grace to myself, then I could give grace to my neighbors.
I was watching Jehovah's Witnesses knocking on people's doors.
And before, as a kid, I used to be like, whoa, whoa, no, hey, whoa, I'm with Jesus.
No, but in a whole different way.
We believe he's God and blah, blah, blah.
But then I always sat there and I'm like, you know what, God, if, if you're here among us, I go, it's either I'm going in the corrected path or they are, or maybe they have some good things.
I go be with me here and have a conversation and open up the eyes and ears to the ones that are closed.
And when I sat there with them, I actually learned a lot from them.
Now that doesn't mean I have to believe that Jesus isn't God.
But the way that they practiced, if it was God, was like a good takeaway from it.
And I liked how, when they were speaking to me, they only brought up the Gospel.
They didn't speak from their own mouth.
And I think a lot of Christians want to speak as their God's translator.
Like, you should do like this for fasting.
But it's like, well, what does the Bible say?
And they have no idea.
But the one that they were judging, the Jehovah's Witness over here, would know, and they would be able to kindly explain to you.
So I try not to shut off anybody's intelligence, because it might be something I'm thirsty for.
Yeah, that's really beautiful and it sort of suggests a kind of hierarchy of principles.
And I feel that love is surely the highest principle.
And some of the conversations I've been having, because we're meeting of course at the Republican National Convention, And Christianity is ubiquitously available here.
Christianity seems that it's absolutely parallel to and practiced alongside Republicanism.
But I notice a tendency, it seems, in individuals.
I'm not saying this is unique to Republicans, it just happens to be the context that I'm in right now.
to, as you have just described, George, utilize Scripture in order to practice judgment.
And I'm sure that we're all culpable of that in myriad ways.
But if you're trying to work out, what should I be doing if there is conflict?
It seems that what you ultimately went for there is compassion and good faith.
You know, because there are so many cultural conversations at the moment that seem pretty complex and can get quite condemnatory.
People, for example, in the cultural war talk a lot about gender, and I'm mentioning it just because of an experience I had earlier today where Christianity was very much sort of in the atmosphere.
We're talking about Christ and Christianity and compassion.
But there's a lot of fervour around condemning people that are trans and all that.
I know, like, of course you can point to things in the Bible that indicate sort of principles around sexuality and principles around sex.
Yeah.
But when, like, that moment when he says, like, you know, love God with all your heart, love your neighbours, you love yourself.
It seems like, you know, when in a situation where there might be a competing principle, here's the hierarchy.
Bam!
Yep.
How do you think that plays out in the culture, George?
Well, my opinion doesn't matter, it's what Jesus' opinion matters.
So when I read the scripture and it says, how you measure others is how I'll measure you, that scared the life out of me.
So I better be very forgiving, as my Father is forgiving of me.
And when they beat him, and they demolished him, they spit on him, and they pulled his hair, and they disrespected him, and then one of the thieves on the cross goes, get down!
If you're God, get down!
With the power of smiting everybody and the one breath he uses as he exhausts it out of his mouth is, forgive them father for they do not know.
And I think what we like to do is read the gospel and be like, I'm David, I'm after God's heart, or I'm just like Jesus, or I'm just like Moses, but the truth is I'm the pagan Roman that hates Jesus.
And so the best place that I know is that I'm unwise, I do not know, and I need salvation.
So if I need all three of these, why am I not giving it to my neighbors?

Here's a quick message before we get back to George.
Three-layer agencies, once symbols of protection and order, are being weaponized against us.
We all know that.
The FDA, who are funded by Big Pharma, are attempting to classify NMN supplements as a drug, allowing Big Pharma to control it.
NMN's a game-changer.
Harvard study shows that NMN helps reduce weight, cholesterol, and blood pressure in overweight adults.
The fountain of youth, they say, in a bottle.
Why do the FDA want to keep it from us?
Because I suppose a healthy strong population is harder to control?
That's just a theory.

See ya!
Unwise, do not know, need salvation.
Yeah, that's a good place to start, isn't it?
And I suppose that might... the challenges that I'm describing might come when spirituality gets conflated with political power, but it's quite difficult, I think, when you're dealing with God.
Yeah.
Not to imagine that that might be the principle deployed when thinking of systems of justice and systems of organisation.
What other principle ought there be?
And it seems to me that, well again, and this is something I had before I became Christian.
I'll tell you so it doesn't sound cryptic.
Well, I go like 12-step stuff because of the drinking and the drugs, you know, to stay clean.
We have to be members of a community, we have to support one another, and we have to surrender to a higher power.
Yeah, some people use ocean and the moon and... All of that.
Yeah.
But it comes from Christianity.
Of course.
Culturally it comes from Christianity.
Bill W., the founder, was a Christian.
It's sort of... and one might imagine that originally it was Jesus and like they Tweaked it for whatever cultural reasons or whatever challenges they were dealing with when they were putting it together.
The thing that is relevant to me is that the 12 Steps is an invitation, George, to live, to make yourself ready to receive the message from God.
To make yourself ready.
Because you have been living a life of worship and devotion.
You have been worshipping and devoted to Alcohol and drugs.
That is your God.
Look at how you've been behaving.
It took me a long time to realize, if someone told me to turn up at 7 to score, that's a colloquialism that used to be relevant when I was a young man, like to score drugs.
Like, I would turn up, and if the drug dealer was late, I would wait.
And if the gear I got, there's another colloquialism, was not good gear, I would still go back to that.
I had a lot of faith, and I had a lot of devotion, and a lot of dedication.
So I started to recognise as I got, you know, as things became clear, and as the alcoholism and the addiction began to sort of settle, and I maybe even moved beyond its most obvious expressions, that I had The raw ingredients for the devoted life, almost like I'd been created, in fact, to live a devoted life, and I'd been sort of misdirected by a culture that tries to direct you towards material ideas, but— Made to worship.
Made to worship.
Hallelujah.
Amen.
But, like, this is the thing I wanted to say, is that there's sort of this tendency in 12-step sort of circles and I wonder if you find the same thing to be true in Christianity and I'd love to hear what you think that if we're not careful our spiritual life under the surface we're doing it in order that we might achieve something in the context of secular society maybe and it could be something that's sort of relatively desirable or even laudable or if I do this I'll get a better job maybe I'll get a boyfriend or girlfriend or wife or husband or whatever
And I noticed in the culture that I'm not getting clean from drugs and alcohol so that I can fit.
Because if you're a drug addict, of course, you're in the back of your mind thinking, oh, maybe then I'll get a job, or maybe then I'll get a girlfriend, because I'm not going to do that as a heroin addict.
But actually, you're being prepared for the spiritual life.
I wonder, is it similarly true, George, that you could devote yourself to the path, but in the back of your mind, there's a false idol behind it?
Absolutely.
Pharisees, when Jesus was like, you guys are so concerned of your outer cup that you have no concern of your inner cup.
And I see that a lot in church.
I look at church and I see a lot of people that slap Christian names on themselves.
I'll give you an example myself.
I was Christian.
I grew up in a Christian home.
But if my actions didn't show that I was Christian.
My beliefs didn't show that I was Christian.
That's why they said the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.
I started making better decisions because I feared of disappointing the Lord.
And then my actions followed my tongue.
But there's levels to this.
People think it's your mindset and then your mouth that leads.
I think there's higher.
There's a spiritual realm.
There's two that you could follow.
Say inner God.
And then when you accept that spiritual realm, then it goes into your mind.
And then you have to sit there and think about it.
And then your next step is your mouth.
Life and death begins at your tongue.
There's so many things that we gotta practice.
You have to be disciplined in it.
So, all of this being said, absolutely, there are so many people that believe that they're Christian, but that's why Jesus says that the time will come where you come in front of me and I say, I do not know you.
And they'll say, I casted out demons!
I did this!
I did this!
And he goes, you didn't know me and I didn't know you.
But that transsexual over there, I knew him.
And a lot of Christians are going to get mad about that.
A lot of Christians are going to go, how dare you?
Well, here's the truth.
They have identity issues, but so do we.
And if you don't know who you are, it's probably because you did not know who your creator is.
So of course you're lost.
If I broke down a Ferrari, I'm not taking it to Honda.
Because they'll open up the hood and be like, I have no idea what's going on in here.
But I bet who's somebody who wants to make money and make profit and make a fool of yourself being like, yeah, you gotta change this and this and they'll screw you and then you'll leave and now you thought you solved the problem, but it's not it's actually worse and in two weeks they'll fall apart.
We like to give ourselves false medicine and think that it's good.
It's a placebo effect, but lies always catch up as soon as truth arrives.
And that's why Jesus describes himself as light.
You can't run away from the light.
Even darkness can't run away from the dark.
You know what I mean?
I think that's a really beautiful analysis, and I was struck, mate, when you were saying that, that indeed, as Christians, we believe He's coming again.
He's coming again.
And it is difficult to imagine that when the risen Christ returns, that He's going to go, these people can fuck off!
That's not going to be the deal!
Think about the Sermon on the Mount.
He picked a ragtag group of people, and He was describing things, and He was saying, I'm going to base this kingdom off of you humans.
There is a beautiful thing in that where he says, the pure of heart will see God.
And I think that the closer that you are to God and the more you obey, the more that you could see His presence.
Let me give you an example.
You can't see the wind, but you can see what the wind does.
How's that?
So you don't believe in the wind because you can't see it?
But if it's blowing, your hair is magnificent in the air.
What's that?
But you could see it, now you believe it.
Sometimes you really, really have to have faith.
And I think this is the truth of it.
I think all of us serve a generous God.
And if you don't know who God is, it's because you didn't invite him into your life.
He's a gentleman at the door waiting for you.
But the devil sneaks through your windows and corrupts your family.
And all you gotta do is listen to the... And watch how Satan will run away.
Hello.
I'm just at the window.
Lucy, get out of here!
I'm just popping in.
I noticed that you seem very low on breakfast cereal.
Perhaps I could come in and replace it for you.
Just insidiously sneaking in like a fog or a gas.
This idea, though, even with the illustrative example there, George, of the wind, where, you know, like, we witness the impact and the effects of wind if we cannot see wind itself.
But, of course, ultimately, when we're tracking and registering the presence of wind, it's like, oh, because, yeah, what blew the hair about or blew the leaves around, we can see its impact.
And I've sort of felt like similar things.
But when they're indeed trying to understand and appreciate quantum physics or dark matter or dark energy, they're like, we don't know what this is, but it's as if there's some other phenomena or some other force there.
When I'm thinking about and dealing with the idea of faith, I'm aware of something that seems on the dimension that I live on that has, subjectively in my experience of it, a real fragility.
I think that's why I'm addicted to performing, man.
There's a brilliant line that people talk about a lot in the film called Chariots of Fire, which is about sort of early... Oh, you'd like it!
You'd like it!
It's like about the sort of early runners and early Olympics and all this kind of stuff and there's one runner who won't do a race because he's a Christian and it's on Sunday and he's like, I ain't doing that.
Like, you know, I love for God.
Why do you do the running?
Why do you do the running then?
He goes, because when I run, I feel his pleasure.
When I run, I feel his pleasure.
Not my own pleasure.
Isn't that beautiful?
Anyhow, I feel like on stage, mate, that is the place where faith, because I'm so scared of performing in front of people, I feel so exposed and terrified about it, that the process that I've had to undergo, and have always had to undergo, and even when I was a kid, when I first started doing it, I was like, oh my god, I'm so frightened, I don't know how to do it.
I learned prayer.
I learned prayer.
No one taught it to me, because it just wasn't around.
But I'm on my knees, involuntarily, because I'm puking and defecating and stuff like that.
Confessing it, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
This stuff happened organically and naturally.
And then on the stage, in performance, That's where I feel it.
That's where I feel faith.
And then it's harder for me to actually practice it in life, off stage, off camera, in reality, to sort of trust the gentle threads of faith, to be present to something that is like the wind, mysterious, mercurial, unknowable, only known by its impact, not by the thing itself.
To sort of live in faith, for me, takes a constant reassessment In the moment.
Like I go back to self.
I feel it.
I feel the magnetism, the polarity.
I feel the polarity moving away from transmit light, serve, transmit light, serve, be of service, to back to the sort of black hole, the infolding vortex of suck stuff in.
Three things.
One, when Jesus was in battle with Lucifer, he always says, it is written.
And that's how he defeated him, because he knew the gospel.
Therefore, teaching us to defeat those dark feelings, you must know who your father is.
And the closer you have a relationship with your father or your friend, the more you have faith in them, by watching them work.
It's not wrong of you to not have faith in God if you've never seen him work.
It makes you have common sense if you've never seen him work.
Two, when Jesus was walking around, there was a woman who was completely sick, and she says, if I just touch him, I will be healed.
And when he was walking, she touched his cloth, and power left him and healed her.
And he turned around and he said, who touched me?
And she got scared and she goes, it was me.
She goes, I knew that if I touched you, I'd be healed.
And he kneeled over to her and he said, it was your faith that healed you.
Later on in the gospel, you notice that the disciples are walking on water towards Jesus.
And they're walking above water.
A lot of times when we're scared and we're overwhelmed, we feel like we're drowning.
But he never drowns.
He walks closer and closer to God.
And the time he sinks is when he takes his eyes off of Jesus and onto his problems.
Faith is something you have to practice.
He says, seek and you shall find, knock and the door shall be opened, right?
And he also says, whatever you believe and you have faith in, it shall be.
That doesn't mean just in God.
If I have faith that I'm going to ruin tomorrow's stage performances, if I believe it enough, I will ruin it.
If I believe that that woman is gonna go towards God, and I really pray, and I fast, and I believe, that woman will go to God with me.
Is there a woman over there?
Her name's Shauna Della Rica, she's right over there.
That's Shauna?
Shauna, yeah.
She's still there?
Because I thought, like, you were just pulling people, like, imaginary... George, there's no one over there!
You don't have a girlfriend!
This has been a dream!
I have a fiancé, sir.
You made a pledge, huh?
Yes, sir.
Congratulations.
Thank you.
But all that being said is, you really, really could come forth anything you believe in.
And I think if you start noticing, if you watch people's patterns, the people that are depressed are always talking about their problems.
The people that are excited about life are talking about what they're excited about.
Life and death begins on your tongue.
If my child is being raised in front of me and he starts talking negatively, I'm impacting that kid immediately.
Being like, brother, you are made in Jesus Christ's image.
They said, let us make man in our image.
How did they create?
They spoke it into existence.
Let there be light.
Boom!
There's light.
Scientists say everything is vibrating.
Of course it is.
Go look at our recording.
It's vibrations.
A lot of people think I'm speaking this into the world and it's coming back.
No, it's not.
Jesus said this 2,000 years ago.
Life and death begins on your tongue.
You're negative?
It's because you speak negative.
You chose to listen to your negative thoughts instead of having faith.
So go ahead, be there.
And remember, the only thing that Jesus did that is harmful to man is saying, if you don't want me in your life, peace.
So if you want to go gather in the dark, go gather in the dark.
You asked for that.
That's why it's an invitation.
I'm inviting you to come into the light.
And once you're in the light, what do you want to do?
When you have something delicious, when you have something grand, and it's unlimited, are you going to be, oh, this is all for me?
No, it's unlimited.
You're going to go run and tell your neighbors.
Come.
There's a ball.
You could come eat and drink and live and breathe.
But people are so, so, so certain on earthly possessions.
I want a car, I want a house, I want to be the biggest actor, I want to be the biggest stand-up, I want money.
Great, worship that.
Where does that all go?
To death.
So you are worshipping and moving to death.
That's why he says, I am the way, I am the truth, I am the life.

When do you think that you started to move away from, because I understand now some of your story, that you grew up in a Christian home, but I know that you also Had dalliances with celebrity and all that that world entails.
Can you tell me a little bit of your return to faith and how your relationship with it changed, mate?
Yeah, it was a beautiful thing.
I grew up in a house that was for Jesus.
My mom would tuck me into bed and say, I love you so much more than anything.
And I'd go, more than God?
She goes, never.
And she says, and you will never love me more than God.
And so she poured this Holy Spirit onto me, and so I grew up with it.
Some kids are born rich, and people are like, wow, they're so lucky.
I was born more lucky than any man.
I was born with two parents that teach me about my Lord and Savior.
And that gave me life.
Even through my darkest moments, I carried it like it was nothing.
I walked on that water.
I jogged on that water.
But then you're telling me I walk away, I handle everything on my own, I'm rich and famous now, and I want to kill myself?
That doesn't make sense.
How did I have nothing before, and have the best time in the world, and then now everything that I've ever dreamt about, and I'm sad and depressed, is because I exited out the only piece of Prince in my life.
And so I said, hold on, hold on.
God, I don't want this.
If you want me to be here, you have to be present with me or I don't want any of this.
And it's so funny because people don't want to ask this because they're scared of letting go of what they have.
Have you ever seen that little picture of the little girl holding a beat up bear and then Jesus is holding a beautiful one behind them?
It's hard to fathom that God actually wants to give you more than what you even are asking for.
But it's your own ego that searches for death than to search for Jesus that is life.
So I was just scared and I was terrified and I was like exhausted of this life.
And I said, you know what?
I don't even care if she walks out of my life and my career goes to nothing.
I go, I want you.
And as soon as I confessed that and I did the Bible verse that says, seek first the kingdom and all of this righteousness.
Then all of a sudden I became peaceful.
And then I started dipping back and forth.
Why?
I'm with God.
I'm in his presence.
I'm on my own.
I got everything.
Alright, so the truth is I figured it out mathematically and with like, if you have a video, you look at the analytics of it.
Okay, well every time I'm down, I'm believing in myself and earthly things.
And every time I'm high up and I'm peaceful is when I'm in his presence.
And so when I read that Bible verse that, think about it, Peter was always gung ho for Jesus, but he sunk as soon as he got scared.
And immediately my life changed when a woman told me, every time that you have fear, just picture yourself bowing in the presence of Lucifer.
I won't give him that satisfaction.
He could take my life before I worship him.
So if I have fear, I'll get on my knees right there and I'll ask God, I don't care if this causes me death.
I won't worship Satan.
I won't.
So give me faith.
And I don't just walk on water, I run on water.
So that way when my fellow brothers and sisters that are having no faith, they see my fruit, it's not my fruit, it's His fruit, it's undeniable.
Even atheists and people that don't believe in God go, how is this possible?
There was gentlemen that were asking me, how did this happen?
I go, it's all Jesus Christ.
That's why when the guy's holding the award and he says, it's all Jesus, before you're like, ah, this PR team told him to say that.
But the truth is, it's not.
All of my works, even having this relationship with you, even having the opportunity to be in this interview, that wasn't because of my works.
I was in this industry for 10 years and nothing happened to me.
But the one year that I gave it all to Jesus and said, I don't care where this goes, it's the biggest and most blessing of my years, and I have peace.
I'm going to go share it with the world.
Not because I prosper off of it.
It's because the first is last and the last is first.
So if me and you have an unlimited supply of meals and drinks, are you and I just going to sit here in an empty place?
Or are we going to go run and tell our neighbors, come, the king has arrived.
In that analogy, you know, the sort of the bear analogy, it sounds like with your description of your childhood, it sounds very beautiful, George, that you were raised in the light of the Lord.
And I wonder how you came to turn away from that light.
And what I mean is in a sort of a very literal way.
What was it that was more seductive than that?
Why is it that we're not here discussing you going, Brought up to love Jesus, I carried on loving Jesus and I love Jesus now.
Seems that there was some interruption and disruption and you sort of casually mentioned that you wanted to kill yourself.
So I wonder what that, can you tell me what that was?
Say for example when I was chatting with Jonathan Rumi, he tells me, and it's always funny talking to him because he's played Jesus and stuff and I have to keep forcing him out of my mind, like I'm not going to let you be Jesus in my brain.
I will not have it.
It's like, you know, I'm doing my own Jesus up there.
He tells me that there was a moment in his life, and he describes it, that, you know, he was destitute, he was broken, he was desperate.
He said, you know, it's similar to you.
It's the same in some ways.
Right, Jesus, you take all of it.
And it's a story you hear again and again.
People saying, you know, and even my own experience of coming to Christ.
Wrestling with Jacob.
Yeah, like they're sort of surrendered to it.
But could you tell me, what was your experience?
Because a lot of people that have the conversion experience don't have, or I don't know, I mean I don't know what the bloody demographics are, but I've not heard that before.
I've not heard someone say, I brought up and I knew I loved Christ, But then I did this other thing.
Can you tell me why the turn away?
Is it a conscious decision?
Is it inadvertent?
Is it the seductiveness of power?
I suppose you do hear in Kings, like a lot of, like he, you know, David himself, but then sort of subsequent Kings that are in there, like Solomon, like ending up with all them concubines and everything.
He got sort of sucked right into it.
Forgive the word sucked.
But like, you know, like, you know, can you tell me how that happened and what the return is?
And a bit about the suicide.
Okay, so if you see an evil man doing evil things, he doesn't wake up going, I can't wait to ruin everybody's life.
I think that even the psycho people think that what they're doing is good.
And so every day, the dilemma is, there's two deities, right?
There's God, and then he gave us Lucifer to decide, are you going to pick me, or are you going to pick you?
And so every day I wake up, I have to fight myself on my ego.
Every day.
And every Christian man would.
The truth is, I got comfortable.
There's a joke I heard when I was a kid and there was two demons.
One had this man who was doing drugs.
He was having sex.
He was having all these bad things.
Raging.
And then there's this other demon that came up to him.
He's exhausted.
He goes, dude, what are you doing, man?
How are you doing?
Look at this guy.
And then his guy is sitting there praying to Jesus.
And he's like, oh, he's like, come on, dude.
Like, how did you do it?
You got to tell me.
He goes, bro, you're doing too much.
Just make him lazy.
When somebody gets comfortable and they get lazy and they don't need a stride, sometimes they get comfortable and they're like, they don't need God.
So there's different verticals.
There's some people that have opened that door to Lucifer because of their own ego, or some people are in need of something really bad.
Like, how many times have you seen a good mother make a bad decision?
But because she's in fear.
And so sometimes fear is what causes you to walk towards that path, and you shouldn't.
So it's not a lot that these people are bad.
That's why Jesus says, forgive them for they don't know.
If they knew what their salvation was, if they knew how much grace they had, if they knew what the word was, they wouldn't walk in fear because they would know it.
But they don't know, and so Lucifer is jumping on them.
You gotta remember, the devil himself knows the gospel forward and backwards, so he's going to challenge you on his words.
That's why when God and the devil fought, they didn't fist fight, they used scripture bases.
Do you get what I'm saying?
Do you mean in the wilderness, in the desert?
Yeah.
He says, well, why don't you turn this rock into bread?
Because it says that.
Because Moses did it.
Why don't you?
Yes.
And he says it is written.
I feel like I can play that guy.
You know, when we were doing your podcast, you were talking about acting.
And I was like, no, I don't think so.
I'm over that stuff.
But whenever we're talking about the Lucifer, I go, oh, I feel like there's sort of something rather appealing about sort of the kind of campness of Satan.
Insidiously creeping in the wind.
Why don't you turn those stones into bread?
Why don't you jump?
The Lord will save you.
Like I've so far... I mean, the devil is attractive.
The devil's gonna be an attractive figure.
What was he the angel of?
Light!
Nope.
Beauty and music.
Hollywood.
A little bit of devil worship.
Mate, but listen, I noticed that you don't like to talk about biographical detail.
Well what?
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
Because I'm saying to you, if you ask me what happened, I'm like, what happened was I went there and I got this job and I got a bunch of money and it made me go a bit crazy and I got all this opportunity.
So what happened to you?
What was it that happened to you that made you turn away from what seems like a native condition of loving the Lord?
What is the thing that's pulling you out of that?
There was no peace there.
There was only death.
The feeling of it.
I'm a selfish man.
What were you doing?
Where did you live?
I was on a very popular show, and I was interviewing people, I was traveling the world, and I was doing everything, and I'm sitting there, and I'm just like, I don't get it.
And it was so obvious, too, that it was spiritual, because even on the conversations I was getting destroyed off of my beliefs.
So God put me in a place, He's like, alright, are you going to sit there comfortably rich, in your little high horse, powerful?
But you know deep down you're miserable, and you're in death.
Were you miserable?
Oh my God.
I literally used to make jokes.
I'd go, how did I have more peace and joy flipping burgers at Five Guys than sitting up here at the top of my top and thinking, this is what I dreamt of, and I would turn it away for five minutes flipping burgers?
And I sat there like, this doesn't make any sense.
And then I had no wisdom.
Didn't know.
You know why?
Because I was full of crap.
I didn't know who Jesus was.
I had no idea who Jesus was.
I only had those feelings because my mother prayed over me.
But when I was a man, I didn't do those practices.
So it's crazy how it just proved to me that the practice is what made me who I am.
That's why a lot of people have this challenge where faith without works is dead.
No, no, no.
If you have faith, you're going to have works.
That's what he means.
Not that you need works to have faith.
It all starts with who you're focusing on.
And I believe in Jesus.
That was my first step.
And then I had to come to the realization that I'm in a very tough industry and I don't know how to defend myself spiritually.
And I'm putting myself in terrible situations and I'm speaking like a pagan.
And I looked in the mirror and I'm like, oh my God, I'm Pharisee!
I'm literally the person that's going to stand before God and say, what are you talking about?
I stood on the podcast and I talked about you and I did all this.
And God goes, beat it buddy.
You had no idea who I was.
And that's why when I started reading the gospel and I started weeping and I was like, Oh my God, I'm so sorry.
I was a hypocrite.
I had no idea who you were.
And then I started feeling alive again.
And then I'm like, Oh wait, I should focus on this.
And then so God was like, are you going to stay on this show?
Or are you gonna part with nothing?
And I was in debt.
And I was scared.
So jumping in this leap, right before I wanted to ask my woman to marry me, right when my dad and I are going in on business, it was like my hands and feet were tied.
And if I take this jump and it doesn't work, I'm dead.
There's nothing I could do right now.
Even my character is up for assassination.
And I'm like, no, because my God is greater than all of this.
And so if I die here, it's because he doesn't want me to be here.
So whatever.
And I jumped.
And I can't even explain to you that I weep almost once a week just from gratitude of how I feel so alive.
And there's not anything in this world at all Do you remember when we were on the podcast and you said... Yeah, it was only two hours ago.
And they were like... Remember all of it?
I was sat there, you sat there, Sean sat there.
That bit.
Yeah.
I like that.
You'll get that when you... You have to watch the podcast for you to understand it.
But you said a lot of... You got the light of the Lord!
Something like that.
Very southern.
You got the light of the Lord!
Like she sort of exploded.
Like sort of a fairy of light.
She is a fairy of light.
But wait, I just want to circle back to this.
You said that a lot of people that are in politics or in power, they go, I'm going to do this.
And then, but when I'm in there, I'm going to do good.
That was me.
That was me.
God, if you give me this, oh God, I will, I will wield it for you.
Years go by and God's like, hey man, I haven't even heard from you.
It's like, you get what I'm saying?
Do you worry it could happen again?
No, impossible.
Well, let me tell you, you're in the light of the Lord when you're a kid, your mother's praying over you, your dad's praying over you, everyone's doing their best.
What do you do?
Like a little bastard, you go off into what sounded to me a bit like devil worship.
But think about it, I didn't know who he was.
Why not?
Because I didn't read him.
I didn't follow him.
You just had sort of native, home-cooked Christianity.
We hang out now, right?
We're hanging out.
Here we are.
Here we are.
But we hang out with each other for a few more months.
You know who I am.
You know my patterns.
You know my potential.
You know my thoughts.
You know my dreams.
And then some other guy comes in.
He goes, you know George loves baseball?
And you're like, what?
He's never mentioned it.
Never!
And he hates baseball.
Because you know me.
Before, I would have been like, yeah, yeah, Jesus loves baseball.
And God's like, I never even mentioned that.
You know what I'm saying?
So this is what happened.
I was a sheep, and I wasn't filled with the Spirit.
And I went in there, and everybody else filled me with their Spirit.
And I was like, oh, okay, cool, yeah.
I can F around, and nothing's a big deal.
I grew up in a society that it was gay if you didn't have sex with a lot of girls.
From Christians!
Christians would look at me like, bro, you gotta have fun before you get married.
That's a terrible thing to teach a man!
He gets addicted to that life, and then now he has one woman, and now he's like, I'm supposed to stay here?
And think about this, when you get married, every single guy who came up to me is like, what's your bachelor party gonna look like?
Beat it, buddy.
There is no bachelor party.
Why would I want one last party before I marry the love of my life?
That's the party.
But the devil wants to sneak in there and ruin it.
I'm not letting him do it.
And you ask me why wouldn't it happen again?
It's because I will not enter a room without Jesus coming first.
It won't happen.
You can take my money.
You can take Shorty over here.
I love Belle.
I'll take that ring off of her finger within a blink of an eye if she ever steps across from Jesus.
Even my mother.
If my mother started making a decision off of Jesus, I'd be like, you're out of your mind.
No, I didn't.
Before I wasn't like that.
Before I did not know.
Before I fell into the, I only know he forgives me.
So I can keep messing up.
Because He forgives me.
But God's a tolerant God, but He's also a just God.
And regardless of what you did in front of a judge, if you did the crime, you're gonna do the time.
And so when I fell in love with Jesus and I was like, wait a second, the death of, the wage of sin is death, and He carried that willingly, and I'm gonna sit here and disrespect the cross and just keep playing that game?
Imagine your father died for you.
What she did is heaven.
But imagine me and you, right?
We're friends and I take a bullet for you and I die.
And you make a mockery of it.
What kind of man are you?
You're more evil than you would ever imagine.
I would like to respect what God did for me now, before I didn't care.
Because I didn't know.
And that's why he says, forgive them for they do not know.
And that's why I don't judge people when they're going crazy or they're saying crazy things or doing crazy things.
It's because they're worshiping something super, super intensely.
They don't know who God is.
And the devil has them wrapped up.
I had this conversation with somebody where I was like, how sad is it that Satan has somebody from their home as their childhood, disrespected, maybe even molested.
They have all this foul behavior and they're filled with that.
And they get put into the world and they make mistakes because of their upbringing and what they had.
And then us Christians are like, get this guy!
And they just kick him in the face and they throw him back to the world that destroyed him.
Is that Christ-like?
Or is it like, hey man, come over here.
And then I show him love and I show him respect, which he never even got in his own home.
And then he's like, what kind of fruit is this?
Do you get where I'm going with this?
I can think of a few examples of that, actually.
I can think of a few examples of it.
We started off with, like, that bit of scripture that you read, and we've touched on this idea of righteousness and faith.
Now your Aramaic Bible has arrived.
Yeah.
I just wanted to bring you so I could just hang two Bibles right here.
There they are, the guys.
Yeah.
And I wonder if you might read a little for us, like a verse or two.
I mean, I'm going to struggle with it if it's in Aramaic because you know... Oh no, it's in English.
It's just a translation.
It's just, it's a translation from the Aramaic, rather than sort of a King James or whatever.
Can you tell me, like, you know, we did, we started off with that bit from Matthew.
There was another bit, mate, where you were saying a bit about the bit that transformed you, and I think it was to do with righteousness and... Searching for the kingdom?
Yeah, maybe it was that, maybe it was that.
Or did you know that already?
Oh yeah, search first for the kingdom and all its righteousness.
And that's what I did, that's what I was explaining.
Where is that?
I don't know, I think it's in Matthews.
Dude, is your Bible beat up?
No, because they're all new.
Mine's destroyed.
The devil worship books, they are tattered.
Ran through that one a few times.
How do we exactly worship Moloch and Baal?
What's he going to require?
Masturbation.
Okay, well let's go.
Oh wait, look at this.
This is where I was like, nevertheless, this kind goes not except from fasting and prayer.
Uh, would you say baby was six what?
Six thirty three.
The sermon on the mount is something that I really wish people uh... You wanna bang out some Beatitudes, mate?
I don't even know what you just said to me.
Beatitude.
Bang out some Beatitudes, you know.
You have an amazing, amazing voice.
Do you honestly?
I think you should.
You know the chosen guy?
Thanks.
The guy who stood in for you?
Jonathan Rumi?
Yeah.
Jesus is my body double.
Yeah.
He always reads on a Bible app, and he's like, he has that voice, but I think yours is better.
Honestly, than Jonathan, because I love him now.
When he does, when I'm doing the rosary sometimes, he's like, you know, in there, sort of, hear their mocking calls.
That's in the third Sorrowful Mystery.
Right here, Matthew 6, 14.
Matthew 6, 14, for if you forgive men their faults, your Father in heaven will also forgive
you.
Think about this.
When somebody smacks you on the cheek, God says give them the other one.
Yeah.
My father says, beat his brakes off and make sure he never touches you again.
Right?
Because the theory of a man touching you and hitting you and you saying, well, here, take this other cheek.
It's like you kind of like, and forgive me for my thing, you kind of look like a weak man.
I understand.
A very, very low hanging type of man.
Yeah.
But think about this.
When I was a I was in 8th grade and I did martial arts because I was getting bullied and I was taking my anger in martial arts.
What type of martial arts?
I did Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and I did Muay Thai.
And in there, my one rule my parents said was, because they actually, they didn't know for a year I was doing that, because they thought it was just a gym.
But after a year, they were like, we'll let you here, but if you touch any man, if you touch any man, we're out.
We're pulling you right out.
And I said, okay.
I was getting bullied and bullied and bullied, and there was this guy named Zach, and man, this guy pissed me off, dude.
And he got really ballsy one time, and he pushed me up against the fence and he slapped me.
And I just wanted to hit him so hard and I was like, oh no I can't because I was so scared of my mom and dad, more than anything.
None of these kids.
I was terrified of my mom and dad.
I got ass whoopings if I was ever a bad kid.
Not in like a dramatic being way, but they definitely showed me that they had their hierarchy.
My dad grabbed me and he goes, if any man ever touches you again and you don't defend yourself, I'll deal with you when you get home.
And I was like, oh.
So the next day, I had authority to beat the brakes off this kid.
And my God, was I looking for it.
I started mouthing.
I already knew by second period that during lunch, we're going to fight.
I already knew it.
How old are you in this story?
Eighth grade.
What is that?
Is that how old is that?
Because we don't have to.
Sixteen?
No, no, no, no.
Not sixteen.
Like fourteen.
Fourteen.
Yeah, yeah.
Fourteen, fifteen.
So I don't know the grades.
Were you homeschooled?
English.
We don't say that.
You don't say school?
We say school, but we don't say eighth grade.
Really?
What do you guys have?
Uni?
First year, second year, third year.
You're gonna be bunking off.
Shall we go and have a fag behind the bike shed?
Yeah, don't mind if I do, mate.
Yeah, get out of here.
Go on, get out of here, you wanker.
Yeah, I'm gonna go toss off behind a lorry.
That's our entire culture.
Same.
You need subtitles for it, yeah.
So it was, yeah, it was eighth grade.
I was like 14 or 15, one around.
And this actually changed my life altogether.
I was praying about it.
I was like, God, I was like, but I was praying the wrong way.
I was like, God, I want to teach this guy a lesson.
I'm going to humble him.
He's going to know who Jesus is and his people.
Recess came and I was saying some very disrespectful things, which I would probably never be able to say again.
And finally the guy pushed me up against the wall, grabbed me, and he punched me.
Boom!
And I got so excited.
I even smiled.
And I grabbed him and I leaned back.
And his face, I'll never forget it.
He went like this and he looked at me and he was so heartbroken.
And it froze, and I remember my hand couldn't even make a fist.
I was so unangered that I was so shocked by his face, I could not make a fist.
And I'm standing there, and he's wrestling me, somebody else is grabbing me, and I'm about to hit him, and I can't hit this dude.
And I take a breath, and I'm like, alright.
And in my mind at the time, I was like, it's because I'm a weak man, I've never punched anybody in my life.
So maybe that's why or something, I don't know.
Years go by.
I never punched him.
He beat me up.
By the way, nothing was more embarrassing than talking.
And by the way, I was a talker.
I told everybody, I go, you watch and see what happens to this guy at lunch.
And he rocked my life.
And so I sat there and I was like, I wonder why that happened.
And then a few years go by.
I haven't talked to this kid again.
And randomly I see him in detention after school.
And detention, how it works is when after class or after school you sit in detention and you take the same buses that the football kids would take.
And I was not new to this.
In fact, they probably thought I was on the football team for how many times I was in detention.
I was always on this bus.
But randomly, I see him walk in.
It's just me and him.
And I sit in there, and I have no anger at this point because years have gone by.
I have no anger.
I've got my ass kicked by like seven other dudes by then.
I forgot that he was in my apartment.
So I looked at him and he looked at me and the teacher rushes in and she goes, guys, I'm so sorry.
I have a family emergency.
I have to go.
She goes, you guys are free to go, but I'm also marking it that you guys are here.
I'm apologizing to you guys.
And so she leaves and we're excited because we're like, well, you know, God with her, but like we're out, right?
And there's a mall right next door.
It's called Desert Ridge.
And I'm like, oh, I could just walk here.
I'm like, let me get some lunch.
So I grab in my bag and at this time, I'm like starting to realize Jesus is wanting me to forgive more.
So I was, I turned to him and I say, Hey man, uh, I'm going to go get lunch.
Do you want to come with me?
And he's like, yeah.
And so like, man, it's been years later.
So we're grabbing our bags and we're walking and we're, man, we're having a great A great time.
We're laughing.
We're enjoying each other's company.
And in the back of my mind, I'm like, I'm glad I never punched this dude in the face.
Like, I really was.
And right after I said that in my head, he turns to me with water in his eyes.
And he goes, Hey man, I'm really sorry that I would hit you every day.
And like, I was bad to you.
And he looks down.
And he goes, I just got it so much that I just, it was natural to me.
And my therapist is teaching me like, and so through that walk, I learned that his father used to beat the crap out of him.
And so when he used to come to school, he had that full of rage.
And I went home and I started weeping.
I go, mom, I almost hit a man that needed me more than anything.
And my mom says, you're full of love because you've given love and you received love in this home.
So when you see somebody struggling with anger or, or, or anxiety or depression, and they're just furious and they're beating, just remember they were fueled with that with somebody else.
And so that changed my life forever.
And now I understand to give him the other cheek.
Cause imagine if he hit me and I just looked at him and I gave him my other cheek, he would feel like his father and I would be him.
And he probably wouldn't have done it.
So this is where I understand, give them the other cheek.
That's a really lovely story.
Throughout this conversation, I've really enjoyed listening to your interpretation and rendering and memorization of the Bible.
I've really enjoyed As you've said to me earlier today, your easy conveyance of spirit and the presence of spirit in you.
I don't remember meeting anyone that I found so sweet so quickly.
You've got a really lovely, lovely heart.
It's really encouraging to be around you, George.
I've really enjoyed it.
I hope that we know each other for a lot longer.
Do you think that we will?
I would love to be friends.
Should we be friends with each other?
We should go bowling together.
There's a bowling alley very near here.
In fact, underneath us.
In the satanic hell beneath this building.
Yeah, you know what?
We should definitely go bowling.
Let's go bowling.
Let's go bowling in Hades.
Does it have to be in hell?
Does there have to be brimstone?
Do we have to be bowling into demons?
Into fallen souls?
Can't we just do it somewhere cute like Milwaukee?
Thank you!
You just gave me such demon re- You know what it is?
You were in Pirate of Hollywood.
The Illuminati got you.
It's bad habits.
That bloody Illuminati.
They really made an impact.
Yeah.
They know what they're doing, don't they, with their sigils?
Have you ever been to Bohemian Grove?
Yes, yeah, go on, what exactly is your point?
We get our hoods up, we worship the owl god, a little bit of sacrifice and all that.
Hey, you blew past that sacrifice pretty quick.
Well, I had to dwell on the sacrifice.
That's the worst bit!
Alright, just wanted to make sure.
Have you ever been?
Have you ever been?
No, mate, I've never been to Bohemian Grove.
I'm from Gray's in Essex.
You don't get to go to... Essex?
What?
That sounds like witchcraft.
What you just said was a hate crime.
Essex.
East Saxony.
Contracted.
Essex?
Yeah, Essex.
Essex.
Can I do British accent good?
No.
It's not.
It's disgusting.
Then I'll ruin this friendship.
Give us a cuddle then.
It was a pleasure.
Oh, you're gentle.
Thank you, mate.
Thank you.
I really, really liked it.
Lovely quality.
I appreciate it.
Thank you so much.
