	Again, I can't express my sympathy for the Ukrainian people who are suffering in this war, and indeed the Russian people who are suffering in this war, enough.
	And of course that is just a purported interview with Putin at the moment, although I'm pretty sure it's gonna happen.
	In here's the news, we're gonna be exploring the new Child Safety Act, which Well, the fact that it's called the Child Safety Act suggests it's not anything to do with bloody child safety.

	A few things to unpack there.

	It's just like, you know, we showed you last week there was a poll of 40,000 people in our country where we were asked, who would you vote for?

	And you know what people are like now?

	We'd vote for Putin!

	Throbbing with anti-establishmentism that we'd literally roll the dice on former KGB agent Putin.

	Like, I should learn the name of actual world leaders given the job I do.

	They're like, you know, we're not at war with Russia purportedly, are we?
	We may be advocating for, supporting, financing Ukraine's war with them and not questioning the principles of Ukrainian democracy.

	Now if that gets said, and we all see it, how many of you want your taxpayer dollars and pounds going upstream to NATO?
	How many of you even know what NATO is for in the post-Cold War world?
	How many of you wouldn't welcome a genuine reckoning when it comes to the role of the IMF, the World Bank, the WHO, the WEF, NATO?
	What are all these things doing for you lately?
	They helping you with your grocery prices?
	They helping you with your energy prices?
	They helping you in your community?
	They helping your democracy?
	They helping you in your marriage?
	They helping you in your relationship with God?

	All of us want to protect children, but is that the aim of the government?
	Or is this about control of social media?

	These ongoing inquiries into online safety of course are about an important subject.
	No one would question the integrity of the notion that children should be protected from online bullying, from pornography, from Potential forms of exploitation from being able to access information on how you might harm yourself in a variety of ways Even with the most ultimate and irreversible of acts now speaking to someone who is as an adolescent experience Well, yes, I'm bullying but also I had a lot of mental health issues and addiction issues and did engage in self-harm I recognize that these are important issues and yet more significantly, of course, I'm a parent and
	Right now I have three children whose safety is obviously the most important thing in my life.
	So no one's questioning the importance of child safety.
	What we are questioning is what these hearings are really about.
	Because the very same social media companies that are now being harangued and barracked by senators and it's extraordinary to watch because it's so theatrical.
	You can tell it's propaganda even as you're watching it.
	There are literally staged moments that couldn't have happened without pre-discussion and without conversation and organisation.
	It's brilliant.
	You're really going to enjoy this.
	What we're actually questioning is what are these hearings really about?
	It's a bit like the pandemic.
	We all agree that human life is sacred, that we should all protect one another.
	Love one another.
	That we're all invested in one another and your safety and my safety and our collective safety are important and when we forget that we go crazy.
	That's something we need to be reminded of.
	Like the pandemic period was exploited to introduce measures that were potentially advantageous either in terms of profit or the ability to regulate and legislate but Perhaps this conversation around child safety is similarly open to exploitation in so much as it would grant governments the ability to censor and regulate social media companies that would inevitably go beyond getting rid of things that might be harmful for children.

	Now, Glenn Greenwald is obviously An expert in this subject has worked long, hard and successfully on the degree to which governments control, censor, surveil their populations, working in ingenious ways to ensure that nothing we ever say cannot be tracked if necessary.
	So let's have a look at this inquiry and note how the CEO of TikTok is vilified and barracked by this extraordinary senator and think about how theatrical it is and note how language that's literally redolent of McCarthyism is used.

	People have realised, the powerful have realised, oh no, this online technology means that people can instantaneously communicate, news organisations can formulate around counter-narratives, communities can organise around different ideas.

	you get your message out.
	Zuckerberg then censored scientists, professors, doctors, nurses,
	and citizens from criticizing Fauci's recommendations regarding lockdown,
	school closures, and COVID mandates, and silenced all criticisms of experimental mRNA vaccines.
	Facebook classified mRNA vaccine injuries as malinformation, meaning information that is likely true,
	but still should be censored to prevent doubts about the experimental rMNA vaccines.
	Numerous Facebook mRNA vaccine injury support groups with hundreds of thousands of members were banned.
	So, Facebook, when they were compliant with the government agenda, were favoured.
	Now, it seems the government have a slightly different agenda, plainly, to introduce more regulatory measures and to control Facebook.
	Nominally, and explicitly in order to protect children. But pause for
	a moment. Do they really care about your children? I'm not saying that they don't care
	about your children, I sort of am I suppose, but I'm saying that there are lots of areas of
	public and political and financial life where the care of your children is relegated. How are your
	children's nutritional standards being taken care of? What about American infrastructure,
	healthcare, information? How are children generally being protected? Were there any medical measures
	in the last few years that potentially were not as beneficial as was claimed, whether that's
	taking children out of school, making children wear masks, potentially recommending certain
	medications that might not have been beneficial for children. So once again let's have a look at
	how Mark Zuckerberg is handled in this Senate inquiry and in particular notice that what
	takes place is plainly a staged event.
	Their control of social media is about controlling your perception of reality,

	Certainly we know that typically our governments have that appetite.
	Certainly we know our governments have been doing that for years.
	Certainly we know that our governments are terrified of independent media and independent political movements emerging out of it and the opposition that's generated in these spaces.
	And what I query is the degree to which they care about child safety, which like any parent, I believe, should be paramount for all of us.
	Many held signs with photos of loved ones who they say have suffered because of social media.
	Look Mark Zuckerberg now who's like a sort of a obviously billionaire and everything but he's just a nerdy guy.
	Clearly a person with some pretty strong ties to government when it's convenient.
	Certainly a person who during the pandemic period was willing to have a particular type of relationship with the government and I'm sure even that I pray was motivated by a desire to do good.
	I'm not going to assume that everybody's evil unless there's corroborating evidence.
	I really think that's an important way to go.
	But what I'm saying is this situation where the East Poor, either grieving or hurt parents are holding up these pictures because they've been told to by someone.
	Like, what we're going to do is we're going to have a moment where you hold up a picture, then the press, oh, this is the bit, is it, where we're going to do the photograph.
	It's a staged moment so that all of us start to associate online censorship, children's safety, online censorship, children's safety.
	But the genius out of the box, they're already trying to pass hate speech laws in Ireland where they're not clear about what they mean by hate.
	Oh, just hate, badness, stuff we don't like.

	The UK online safety bill, which was brought about the time that I was being attacked and we now know that various agencies were involved in that attack.

	That moment is something that I believe that we are going to be looking back on and talking about for quite some time.

	In fact, any time that we get a chance to destroy an independent media figure, we should really get on board with that.

	But we begin here with a surprise appearance from presidential nominee Nikki Haley.
	Okay, our next question comes from someone who describes herself as a concerned South Carolina voter.
	My question is, why won't you debate Nikki Haley?

	The woman who was in charge of security on January 6th!

	Well, it's pretty amazing that Nikki Haley's on SNL because I guess it's, broadly speaking,
	a neoliberal institute and organ, isn't it?
	And when you see things framed in the context of the legacy media, you'll know how muted it is.
	Look at Jake Sullivan, straight out of the WEF.
	He was there very recently, wasn't he?
	Here he is on a mainstream media show talking about the potential for airstrikes inside Iran.
	Now you saw that over the weekend there were 37 strikes, I think, in Yemen mostly, wasn't it?
	Now, the possibility of strikes within Iran ain't ruled out, which essentially means it might happen.
	Have a look at this and have a look at the framing of the discourse.
	Have a listen to the way that certain questions can't be asked and certainly not answered.
	Ruled out strikes inside Iran.
	Well, sitting here today on a national news program, I'm not going to get into what we've ruled in and ruled out from the point of view of military action.
	What I will say is that the president is determined to respond forcefully to attacks on our people.
	The president also is not looking for a wider war in the Middle East.
	But is it off the table?
	It doesn't make sense.
	So not ruling out attacks, but also, let me go back a bit there, because that's weird double speak.
	That's a well-in double speak.
	Strikes inside Iran off the table?
	Again, Kristen, sitting here on television, it would not be wise for me to talk about what we're ruling in and ruling out.
	So you're not ruling it out?
	I'll just say the same thing one more time, which is I'm not going to get into what's on the table and off the table when it comes to the American people.
	So he said, yeah, can we just go back to the bit where he said, we are not ruling out strikes within Iran, but we're not expanding the war in the region.
	It's sort of about 15 seconds back from there, because both those things literally can't be true.
	So one of the things, either you bomb inside Iran and you expand the conflict in the region, or you don't bomb in Iran.
	Let's have a look at that bit again.
	I missed the bit that I was trying to focus on.
	Let's have a look.

	Here he is talking about how the expanding violence between Israel and Hamas and the annihilation of that region is increasing tensions and violence across the Middle East.
	Is the United States already in a wider war in the Middle East, Jake?
	What the United States is doing is responding to threats as we see them with significant but proportionate force.
	But has the war expanded?
	We are seeing threats... Significant but proportionate, that will be a brainstormed and discussed bit of language.
	It's significant but it's proportionate.
	War expanded in the region, Jake?
	Well, first, we don't accept that what's happening in the Red Sea, for example, Kristen, is entirely tied to the war in Gaza, because the Houthis are attacking shipping that has absolutely nothing to do with Israel.
	Those Houthis would have done that anyway.
	Ever since I've known about the Houthis, and you know what they were like, you know, in the 80s, the bloody Houthis.
	Then in the 90s, what are the Houthis doing now?
	Remember when those Houthis were tunnelling under Vietnam?
	And do you remember when the Houthis provoked that Cuban Missile Crisis?
	And do you remember the Houthis in 9-11?
	Those bloody Houthis.
	They'll stop at nothing.
	Some of you are responding to the news that King Charles, King of England, has been diagnosed with cancer.
	Now, whatever your views are, of course, of establishment power and the monarchy, etc.
	It's sad when, obviously, when anybody gets cancer.
	That is sad news.
	Is there any legacy media reporting on that?
	Or should we just say, oh, that's a shame that anyone has cancer.
	Any human being getting cancer is bad.
	Really, I mean, he waited his whole life to become king.
	It's just, Not working out is it?
	Possibly because it's time for these systems to be radically reviewed and perhaps potentially dismantled because what does it ultimately demonstrate?
	That hierarchical corrupt institutions of wealth accumulated over centuries is a Something to aspire to and it's somehow well literally sacred due to the nature of the ceremonies of Coronation that these are figures that are endowed by God.
	However as a fellow human being I pray that his treatment is successful and I pray that all people negatively affected by his cancer and cancer more broadly are Receive the comfort that they need.
