[00:00:03]  Hey, everybody. Today, I thought I'd give you a quick lesson on how to open a child-proof container.
[00:00:11]  It's not as straightforward as a lot of you think.
[00:00:14]  I'm going to use, as my example, an Afrin.
[00:00:17]  This is a great product, by the way.
[00:00:19]  I use it all the time. And they have a child-proof cap.
[00:00:22]  Now, the trick is you have to see the writing here that tells you how to open it.
[00:00:26]  And watch this. It says to press down and then turn.
[00:00:30]  If you just try to turn it without pressing down, it won't open.
[00:00:33]  Childproof. Pretty good, huh?
[00:00:34]  But if you press down, it comes right off.
[00:00:38]  Look at that. Easy peasy.
[00:00:40]  Now, here's the larger version of Afrin.
[00:00:44]  It has exactly the same cap with the same instructions.
[00:00:48]  But this one's a little trickier.
[00:00:50]  So this one, if you try it regular, it doesn't work.
[00:00:53]  But if you press down, that also doesn't work.
[00:00:59]  Now, the instructions are exactly the same as the other one.
[00:01:02]  It says, push and turn.
[00:01:05]  But with the larger one, you have to read between the lines.
[00:01:08]  It doesn't mean what you think.
[00:01:11]  What it means, and I'll give you a demonstration, Is that you need to use a saw to open it.
[00:01:17]  So I'm going to demonstrate how to do that.
[00:01:19]  I recommend using work gloves so you don't get damaged.
[00:01:25]  I'll put on mine.
[00:01:27]  Feel a lot safer with these.
[00:01:29]  Of course you want safety glasses.
[00:01:32]  Gotta have safety glasses.
[00:01:35]  So safety first.
[00:01:38]  Always safety. Now This is the tool you want to use to open your afferent.
[00:01:45]  put it sideways and then start sawing.
[00:01:49]  Yeah, success.
[00:01:57]  Now you're probably saying to yourself, well that's no good because how do I actually get that out of there?
[00:02:04]  And that's stage two.
[00:02:06]  For that, you need a straw.
[00:02:08]  Oh, good stuff.
[00:02:19]  Now in the process of opening it, you might spill a little on your cutting board, but don't let that go to waste, because you paid for all of it.
[00:02:29]  So you want to get that too.
[00:02:34]  Other nostril. That's good stuff.
[00:02:44]  So remember, If you're opening the little one, all you have to do is follow the directions, push down lightly, and twist.
[00:02:53]  It comes right off. But for the larger size, you're going to need the saw.
[00:02:58]  So now you know how to do it.
