Real Coffe - Scott Adams - Episode 390 Scott Adams: Roger Stone and the Newest White House Mind-Reading Traitor Aired: 2019-01-25 Duration: 09:13 === Let's Spin This Crap (09:13) === [00:00:00] Hey everybody! [00:00:09] Come on in here. Gather around. [00:00:12] It's time for Coffee with Scott Adams. [00:00:18] And guess what? [00:00:19] As luck would have it, I'm Scott Adams and I have coffee. [00:00:26] And if you're well prepared, and I know some of you are, you have coffee too. [00:00:31] It may be a different beverage, but in any case, grab your cup, your mug, your stein, your chalice, your thermos. [00:00:40] Put some liquid in there. [00:00:42] I like coffee. [00:00:43] and join me for the simultaneous sip. [00:00:46] Let's spin this crap, somebody says. [00:00:55] Thank you. [00:00:56] Let's spin this crap. [00:00:59] Am I visiting Roger today? [00:01:02] Will I be going to jail with Roger Stone? [00:01:05] Not that I know of. [00:01:08] I'm happy to say that I've never met Roger Stone. [00:01:13] So there should be no record of text messages between us. [00:01:20] I'll tell you what I would hate to be. [00:01:23] Anybody who has texted Roger Stone in the last five years. [00:01:28] If you have ever exchanged messages with Roger Stone, you're probably a little worried right now. [00:01:36] Because Mueller's reading your messages. [00:01:40] Alright, so the big question of the day is... [00:01:45] Oh, maybe there's a bigger question. [00:01:47] Somebody says that Mike Sertovich's movie Hoaxed is out today. [00:01:52] Is that true? I'm still... [00:01:55] Okay, it looks like it's out today. [00:01:59] So if you haven't watched it, search for Hoaxed, H-O-A-X-E-D, by Mike Sertovich. [00:02:08] I'm in it, so it must be good. [00:02:11] But I've been looking forward to that, so make sure you watch that. [00:02:18] So, why am I whispering? [00:02:20] Christina's still asleep. So I'm on the road today, and I wake up to the news that the FBI has raided Roger Stone's, not raided, I guess they did a powerful knock on the door. [00:02:35] Everybody was highly armed. [00:02:38] Now you might ask yourself, Why would they go in so heavy against Roger Stone? [00:02:44] Well, the odds that Roger Stone has heavy firepower in his house is probably close to 100%, wouldn't you say? [00:02:54] What would you guess are the odds that Roger Stone has some serious weaponry, legal, I'm sure it's all legal, but serious weaponry in his home? [00:03:08] Probably pretty high. [00:03:10] I always wondered why they do their FBI raids. [00:03:14] It seems like it's in the early morning before anybody would be expected to be awake. [00:03:21] And I think part of it is you make sure that they're not drunk because it's first thing in the morning. [00:03:29] And they're sort of sleepy and they haven't organized their thoughts yet. [00:03:33] So you just have an advantage if you're a big bunch of FBI people and you catch somebody at, I don't know, five in the morning or whenever they do it. [00:03:41] It's probably the best time. [00:03:43] All right, so it may seem to you, like it seems to me, like some kind of weird Groundhog Day. [00:03:52] Have you noticed That every story seems to be the same as every other story? [00:04:00] What are the two biggest stories today? [00:04:03] And ask yourself if you've ever heard these stories before. [00:04:07] Somebody associated with the Trump campaign, but not that closely. [00:04:12] That's always the key. [00:04:13] Associated with the campaign, but not that closely. [00:04:17] is accused of something by Mueller that probably has more to do with lying about something than with any base crime. [00:04:27] Now, have you ever heard that story before? [00:04:30] It's the same frickin' story we just hear over and over again. [00:04:33] It's just the same story. [00:04:35] All they do is they just replay the play with new characters. [00:04:39] So who's after Roger Stone? [00:04:41] I don't know. Are they running out of minor characters who are associated with the fringe of the campaign? [00:04:48] Probably a few more. [00:04:51] But Stone will be the most interesting. [00:04:53] Now, the other interesting thing about Stone... [00:04:56] Is that he probably knows where there are a lot of bodies buried. [00:05:03] I would hate to be on the other side of that guy because I don't think he's going to go quietly. [00:05:12] Whatever happens next is probably going to leave a pretty big crater, but I don't know. [00:05:20] Here's the other story. [00:05:22] See if you've ever heard this story before. [00:05:25] Someone who once worked for the White House writes a tell-all book that alleges he knows what the president's deepest inner thoughts are. [00:05:35] Have you ever heard that story before? [00:05:38] It's just the same damn story. [00:05:40] They're just recycling it. [00:05:42] Another person with another book full of assumptions about what other people are thinking. [00:05:48] I just saw one of the excerpts, and it's exactly what you imagine. [00:05:52] It's stuff like, and the president craves the approval of the media that he hates. [00:05:59] And I'm thinking to myself, okay, if you gave us a text or a direct quote where the president said, I crave the media attention, then I would say... [00:06:11] That's pretty solid. The President actually said that. [00:06:14] But if you're writing a book where you're talking about the President's inner thoughts and his secret worries that he doesn't speak about, I don't think... [00:06:25] I don't think... [00:06:27] That should not be a book. [00:06:30] But it will be. And it seems that they've targeted... [00:06:35] What's her name? [00:06:38] Why am I blanking on... [00:06:41] Kellyanne Conway. [00:06:43] So, have you noticed that the opposition is targeting and picking off specific individuals? [00:06:51] So, it seems that this book may have targeted Kellyanne Conway and... [00:06:58] Oh, Dershowitz is on TV? Darn it. [00:07:02] You'll have to go watch that. [00:07:05] But... Yeah, it's just, it's a whole another, I don't know, two weeks of the same story that we've been watching over and over again. [00:07:19] Person gets arrested, charged with something that's probably closer to lying than anything else. [00:07:25] Somebody writes a book. [00:07:27] There are lots of assumptions about what people's inner thoughts are. [00:07:31] They've picked off somebody to take out. [00:07:35] Same news. There's not even much to say about it. [00:07:39] But there is a question I saw on Twitter. [00:07:42] I don't know if anybody's answered it yet. [00:07:43] Maybe you can answer it for me. [00:07:45] Somebody answered me this question. [00:07:49] Why was CNN standing outside of Roger Stone's home with cameras and exactly when Mueller's secret raid happened? [00:08:05] Does somebody have an explanation for how CNN knew to be there? [00:08:09] Were they just always there? [00:08:11] They just have a film crew that just sits in front of Roger Stone's house just in case? [00:08:16] Or do they have a source inside the Mueller investigation? [00:08:23] CNN got tipped off. [00:08:25] Well, maybe so. [00:08:28] Somebody says, why does it matter? [00:08:30] It matters because wouldn't you like to know if CNN has real sources? [00:08:36] Because that would obviously be confirmed as an accurate insider source. [00:08:43] Yeah. So that would matter. [00:08:50] And I don't have a whole lot else to say today, so I'm going to keep it short. [00:09:01] Alright, I may check in later when we have more news, but for now I'm going to sign off and we'll keep watching the news to see what else develops. [00:09:10] But let's hope it's not just Groundhog Day all over again.
