Dave Rubin critiques Jimmy Kimmel's "expectant widow" joke regarding Melania Trump two days after an assassination attempt, arguing ABC should fire him despite First Amendment protections. He contrasts this with left-wing radicalization, citing a Manhattan Institute survey where 46% of Democrats believe the attack was orchestrated by Trump supporters, while highlighting death threats against investigative reporter Nick Shirley following his exposure of fraud in Minnesota Somali-run daycare centers. The episode concludes by contrasting disproportionate threats against conservatives with perceived leniency toward figures like James Comey and discussing Iran war leverage under the Trump administration. And let's dive in, guys, because I'm telling you, this is everything in today's show.
It is quite literally a little bit of everything.
So, of course, the major sort of cultural mini war that we are in right now.
Is related to the backdrop of the third assassination attempt on Donald Trump's life, which happened over the weekend at the White House Correspondence Dinner.
But really, subsequently, what has blown up since that is that Jimmy Kimmel, a couple days before, a guy who makes about 20 million bucks a year on ABC to insult and demean half the country, he did a fake White House Correspondence Dinner with some pretty terrible jokes.
We showed you a couple of them yesterday.
But here's so, subsequently, after After the assassination attempt, suddenly people were like, wait a minute, maybe this is a bit much.
He's literally two days before they try to kill Trump, he's joking about Melania being a widow.
And, you know, it's just starting to feel like maybe the rhetoric is too much, although they never turned it back.
Anyway, here is Jimmy Kimmel defending his expectant widow joke about Melania.
Again, this was Thursday, and there was no big reaction to it until this morning when I greeted the day.
Facing yet another Twitter vomit storm.
And a call to fire me from our first lady, Melania Trump, saying I should be fired because of a joke I made, again, five nights ago.
It was a pretend roast.
I said, Our first lady, Melania, is here.
Look at her, so beautiful.
Mrs. Trump, you have a glow like an expectant widow, which obviously was a joke about their age difference and the look of joy we see on her face every time they're together.
It was a very light roast joke about the fact that he's almost 80 and she's younger than I am.
It was not.
By any stretch of the definition, a call to assassination, and they know that.
I've been very vocal for many years speaking out against gun violence in particular.
I agree that hateful and violent rhetoric is something we should reject.
I do, and I think a great place to start to dial that back would be to have a conversation with your husband about it because.
I mean, to whatever extent these shows matter anymore beyond creating outrage, it's like we've been reduced to this.
Partisan drivel at night where we once had the king of late night, Johnny Carson, who it was a little bit of poking at everybody, but it wasn't really political and it was actually funny, which was quite groundbreaking at the time.
You know, I just asked the guys during the clip there, did anyone think that it was a joke about age?
Because that, if it, let's say he's telling you the truth about that.
There is not one second where I thought it was about age.
It was pretty clear about he's just going to die soon.
I don't know what's It's hard to know what's in this guy's heart or mind, or, you know, and keep in mind, 20, he has 20 writers coming up with that, but all these guys here all said nobody watched the original joke and thought it was a joke about age.
Now, it is true that Melania has come out and basically said that he should be fired.
I want to be very clear about something, because I'm seeing a lot of people on the right, a lot of the free speech people on the right, calling for him to be fired.
I am actually not calling for Jimmy Kimmel to be fired.
I think it would have been well within ABC's right over the last.
How many years has that guy had that show?
But let's say the last five years when everything has gotten hyper political, you know, COVID, Russia, Russia, Russia, and all that.
I think it would have been well within their right and probably a decent business decision had they fired him.
Not because of calling for anyone to be killed or anything like that, but really because he's been a terrible comedian who has taken, you know, these late night shows used to be institutions that bring us together.
That's why I always reference Johnny Carson.
And he is one of the lead guys, Colbert, who's about to be unemployed, but cashed in at about 20 million a year, too.
They created this hyper partisan nature.
You could even go back, even you only have to go back that far.
You go back 10 years ago.
Jay Leno running the Tonight Show post Johnny Carson for 20 years.
Was he hyper partisan?
Jay Leno happens to be a little more of a conservative.
Nobody knew anything about his politics.
As a matter of fact, people used to give him crap for it because people didn't like him, and I include myself in that.
I've come to like him and respect Jay Leno a lot more over the years because he just was trying to be funny.
Whether he was funny or not is almost irrelevant.
He was just, he wasn't trying to alienate half of America.
David Letterman.
He's now come out as more of a lefty, but when he was doing his show, you damn well know that every day that they were in that writer's room, they were just like, What is funny tonight?
And it wasn't hyper partisan lunacy.
So I am not, personally, Dave Rubin is not calling for Jimmy Kimmel to be fired because of the joke.
It was a bad joke, and particularly to the backdrop of almost another assassination attempt.
To imply that Melania is going to be a widow soon, even though it was two days before, the timing all feels weird.
But I don't think that he should be fired.
Well, first off, I don't think the government should force ABC to fire him.
That would be a violation of the First Amendment.
But Melania, as the first lady, she has First Amendment rights too, and she could say, I think ABC should fire them.
ABC has to decide what to do.
They have to decide what's in the best interest for them as a corporation, and is this show a net positive for them in terms of cash flow and narrative and everything else?
That's what they have to decide.
But I am seeing a lot of people on the right like, fire them, fire them, fire them.
And I think we, those of us who have been against this cancel culture the entire time, let's not forget Roseanne Barr put out one tweet.
One tweet about Valerie Jarrett, I think, about what, 10 years ago, when she had the number one show on television.
She put out one tweet and they fired her from the number one show on television.
They have a right to do that.
It's not the government coming in and doing it.
And we have to be careful what we're wishing for here if we're going to have the government put pressure on companies, even though ABC is a massive corporation and there's connections with the government and everything else, and they have an FCC license.
Be a little bit careful there.
However, the broader point here is that Jimmy Kimmel has been awful forever.
This is not a 50 50 equation where it's like, okay, this side does it and this side does it, but it basically turns out to be a wash.
We had some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points.
Our first lady, Melania, is here.
Look at Melania.
So beautiful.
Mrs. Trump, you have a glow like an expectant widow.
So, the reason I'm showing you that one, and trust me, we've shown you plenty of them over the years, like the horrible pandering, lying, just absolute lies.
Like a joke is supposed to be something truthful that then you could put a twist on it and then you make it funny, and that's how we don't all kill each other, right?
Oscar Wilde said, you know, if you want to tell people the truth, you do it with humor, otherwise they will punch you in the face, you know, loosely quoting right there.
And that's the point.
So, what he did in the first portion of what we just showed you is when it comes to Tyler Robinson, he completely lied about what his Political affiliation was and what his belief set was, right?
He was obviously not one of them, when he says one of them, he means one of MAGA.
He was a trans lefty activist who'd been radicalized after growing up in a fairly conservative family, actually.
So he was definitely more one of you than one of us, if that's the framing you want to use.
But you're all right, so you're allowed to do that joke and completely lie about what's going on, and now you're upset that you're getting pushback when you do something that in essence was.
At least an implication of the death of the President of the United States.
Here's Caroline Levitt on the quality of Jimmy Kimmel's comedy.
For example, as the First Lady of the United States pointed out this morning, just two days prior to the shooting, ABC's late night host Jimmy Kimmel disgustingly called First Lady Melania Trump an expectant widow.
Who in their right minds says a wife would be glowing over the potential murder of her beloved husband?
And having experienced what I did with the First Lady on Saturday night, I can tell you that she was anything but that.
This kind of rhetoric about the president, the first lady, and his supporters is completely deranged, and it's unbelievable that the American people are consuming it night after night after night.
All right, so the question here is does the government have any right to force ABC's hand here?
Now, again, I would say no.
Now, there might be some, if you look at the full scope of the FCC rules and everything, and we've talked about this before around some of Colbert and Kimball's jokes, there might be some FCC violation when they fully are using their platforms to lie about things.
You know, they've basically because the irony is they've ironically turned these quote unquote comedy shows into news shows, and that's the problem.
It's why technically The View, if I'm not mistaken, please check me on this, The View is part of ABC's entertainment division, not their news division, because if it was part of their news division, they would have to have a higher standard when it comes to telling the truth.
So instead, they keep them under the entertainment wing, thus they can lie and do all of their nonsense and offer their half assed retractions all the time.
Now, it's not for the government to say what we.
What all of us take in as entertainment, right?
Like, I wouldn't want if I made a bad joke, I'm sure I've made it.
I mean, I know they're all bangers when I'm doing them, but like, maybe it's possible I could make a bad joke one day.
I could.
I could.
And would we want the government calling YouTube to say Dave Rubin cannot be on your platform anymore?
Of course not.
So I just think to me, the best thing that could happen here is we just mock the hell out of Kimmel, we expose the hell out of Kimmel.
The advertisers then in turn are like, you know, maybe this is a bit much with this guy.
Like, it's Too much, it's been going on for too long, and then the market will decide.
So, I would say to those people who are on the right, let's have a little faith in the free market, let's have a little faith in free speech, etc.
Let's not become what they are that we are so critical of.
Here's a bit more of Kimmel trying to explain his way out of this thing.
I am sorry that you and the president and everyone in that room on Saturday went through that.
I really am.
Just because no one got killed doesn't mean it wasn't traumatic and scary, and we should come together.
And be best.
We really should.
But if you want us to believe that a joke I made three days before this dinner had any effect on anything that happened, well, then maybe someone should look into this psychic lady, too.
Like, is it endless hate that these guys put out there and lies about Trump across the board and about half the country?
And are they trying to manipulate us and all those things?
Absolutely yes.
The question is, does someone have the right to, not the right, because you don't have a right to a TV show, but if a network decides to give someone a TV show, are they allowed to do whatever they want without interference from the government?
The answer to that is yes.
So I do agree.
Jimmy Kimmel is not a comedian, by the way.
We would have looked at the comedian standards, say, 20, 30 years ago, but he is a partisan hack who is working for a corporation, in this case, Disney, giving them exactly what they want.
But again, I would say rather than all of us being as outraged as the left is over everything, and when Roseanne Barr made her silly joke about Valerie Jarrett, they all demanded she be fired and she did get fired.
Would that help us?
In other words, if Jimmy Kimmel at the end of today does not have a job, did we really accomplish anything?
Or is it better to just keep exposing him, keep mocking him?
And if you have a friend that watches the Jimmy Kimmel show, you go, what is wrong with you, you dullard?
But of course, the entire machine now is in a huge, and this happened already.
We've been through several versions of this where Kimmel has said stupid, really just noxious, stupid things.
And then everyone pretends that this is about his First Amendment right to free speech, which it isn't.
Jimmy Kimmel privately can say whatever the high hell he wants.
When you are on the broadcast network of ABC, the standards are there's corporate standards.
And again, there might be some FCC stuff there that is actually applicable here.
But the entire machine right now is running in defense of Jimmy Kimmel, and they want to make this a First Amendment issue.
Well, that's very interesting, Brian Stelter, guy who got fired from your show because you suck, then went to Harvard to teach journalism, which was ironic, and then got fired back because people just watch you because you suck so bad.
It's ironic because on your network about a year ago, there was a guy by the name of Ryan Gerdusky who made a joke.
And you know what happened to him?
unidentified
You don't want to be called Nazis.
Stop doing your job.
You're called an anti Semite.
No, no, no.
You're still called an anti Semite more than anyone else's table.
Yeah.
People were for their.
No, by me.
I never called you an anti Semite.
I mean, I'm not sitting here saying I'm a supporter of the Palestinians, so I'm used to it.
I don't think Mehdi Hassan, who I think is a communist jihadi lunatic, I don't think he has a beeper.
So it's implied that that's a joke.
That, oh, ha, ha, ha, you're on the team of the guys who just had the beepers blown up.
But CNN fired him.
Potato Head, where were you on that one?
Jake Tapper, where were you on that one?
Were Ryan Gurdusky's First Amendment rights infringed upon?
Actually, the answer is no, because it wasn't the government that fired him.
It was CNN that fired him, and Ryan is welcome to make that joke, and I just replayed that joke, and I'm not.
Thankfully, I'm my own boss.
I'm not going to fire myself.
The chances I'm going to drag myself into the office and go, Dave, that was a bit much.
Probably not going to happen.
Let's go back all the way to 2022.
Here are Jake Tapper, a man who has pushed every hoax that has been exposed over the last however many years, and Jimmy Kimmel, and they are just disgusted by certain jokes being made by certain people.
Well, that's the part that I really want to show you because then they want to use your own Christian beliefs and your value set against you, even though they seem to think it's never applicable to them.
Actually, in that little clip right there, like Give the Devil His Due, they're allowed to be disgusted by things.
They're allowed to ask people for apologies and everything else.
But the point of showing you that is that right there, it was a joke about Paul Pelosi.
They didn't like jokes that people on the right were making about Paul Pelosi, right?
So, what do you do?
You're CNN.
You then bring in the guy who's making all the same exact jokes going the other way, and he's now the judge, jury, and executioner about what jokes can be made.
Do you see how absolutely insane that is?
And really, how it shows you that the Democrats and mainstream media.
They are like this, or like this, or this, or this, or this, or wait, it's a little of this.
You know, it took me like 20 years to be able to do this thing.
I couldn't do it until I was in my mid 30s.
All right, let's talk about Cheers Health for a minute and then we'll get to more.
Guys, you ever notice how a couple drinks can still leave you feeling rough the next morning?
You did everything right.
You ate, you drank water, you got decent sleep, and you still woke up a little foggy.
That's why a lot of people are turning to Cheers Restore.
This is an after alcohol aid after your last drink or before bed, and it works while you sleep.
Uh, people are surprised by how much better they feel the next morning.
And here's the key.
It's not just about hydration.
What really matters is what's happening in your brain and liver overnight.
When alcohol leaves your system, the brain goes into rebound mode, which is part of why you feel off the next day.
Cheers includes DHM to help smooth out that process while you sleep.
Cheers is backed by doctors and PhDs.
They've sold over 50 million doses and it's available in over 30,000 stores like Target, CVS, and Walgreens.
Take Cheers Restore after your last drink or before bed and wake up feeling at least 50% better or your money back.
For a limited time, listeners get 20% off their entire order with code Ruben at cheershealth.com.
Okay, so let's connect the general state of insanity.
Again, as I said on the show on Monday, imagine this was the third attempt on Donald Trump's life.
Imagine the unthinkable had happened.
Like, just try to imagine where we would be as a nation and the entire world right now.
Like, that's how close we are to the precipice if these people keep.
Keep infecting the minds of people.
Keep saying Hitler is in charge, and more and more people get ginned up to take out Hitler.
Well, now we're seeing, and it's been obvious for quite some time, but we're now seeing numbers, actual numbers, on the levels of radicalization on the left.
Let me show you something from Manhattan Institute Vice President Jesse Arm.
They did a survey on radicalization.
In our last Manhattan Institute survey, we found that 46% of today's Democrat coalition believes the assassination attempt against Donald Trump in 2024.
Was orchestrated by his supporters to increase sympathy for him.
Okay, so now there's two things going on here.
We have a certain set of people that are being radicalized.
We know that.
We showed you some numbers the other day about how basically 23% of Democrats believe that violence can be used for political means, and then that's of like real woke sters, and then it expands into just sort of the whatever sliver of more moderate liberals still exists.
That's one version of it.
That, what I just read you right there, is more on the conspiratorial side of things.
So what they are saying is that Butler.
The Butler incident, where Donald Trump got shot, we all saw the blood, we all saw him fall and everything else and fight, fight, fight, that was made up.
What was the percentage there again?
What was the percentage?
It was 43%?
46%.
That's basically half of the people in the Democrat coalition think that that was a conspiracy.
We're always told that we're the conspiracy theorists, we're the crazy ones, right?
And you've got half in that coalition.
That is crazy.
But now, okay, so you've got the conspiracy side.
Now let's connect it to the slow roll violence is okay side.
You know, I show you this guy every now and again.
They call him Charlemagne the God.
His name's Lenny.
I call him Lenny.
Not calling anyone God.
His name is Lenny.
And Lenny has a program.
And you may not watch this program or care, but he has a huge audience.
And it is worth noting.
And watch what he does here.
He does the exact same thing from that clip that we showed you four or five times last week of Hassan Piker basically excusing violence.
Trump's a bad guy, so, you know, stuff's going to happen.
And this is becoming ubiquitous across the left right now.
So first off, Lenny, I'd be happy to do the show and explain to you why you are wrong about that.
But let's try it this way.
Let me read you a tweet that I put up this morning, actually.
Allow me to quote Dave Rubin on the Rubin Report.
How about that?
I think this will get it right.
Joe Biden led in 20 million illegals into the country.
That is far worse than anything Donald Trump has ever done.
That still wouldn't have been a legitimate reason to excuse violence towards him.
These people have no idea the Pandora's box they are opening.
And that's the point.
Lenny, you may feel that Donald Trump has made life bad for people, even though the economy actually is doing quite well right now and the markets are really high and gas prices are basically down.
And if nothing else, he closed the border and stopped the invasion.
But let's say you disagree with all of those things.
Once you open that Pandora's box, once you open that thing, you cannot close it and you have no idea what will come out of it.
And you guys are opening it right now.
Hassan Piker took the same position.
Well, you know, Brian Thompson, healthcare CEO, he was a bad dude and people don't like their healthcare, so, you know, someone's going to assassinate him in Times Square.
It's the exact same thing you're saying.
People are upset about Donald Trump, so someone's going to do it.
By that very logic, you would have a target on your own head, right?
Like you say political things, Lenny.
Bernie Sanders says political things, AOC says political things, and there are people on the right who find those things quite noxious.
I find all of the ideas of the modern Democrat Party.
Which is a radically anti American, anti capitalist party.
I find them all horrifically noxious.
Once I go from, okay, you guys have a horrible set of ideas and I'll mock you and I'll make fun of you and I'll call you out and I'll expose you.
Once I take that next step to, oh, and you know, I'll kind of get it if somebody blows your brains out.
Well, guess what?
It's coming both ways and truly it would be the end of the American experiment.
And guys, it's everywhere on the left right now.
There is no one moderating this.
We've shown you some videos of this guy, Wajahat Ali.
I debated this ding dong on Piers Morgan a couple of times.
Now, again, first off, he says most of the country.
Well, most of the country voted for Donald Trump.
And I'm going to guess that there's even some people in your crazy Democrat party that are not okay with the assassination or wouldn't be happy if Donald Trump just died today, as much as they hate him.
If the president of the United States just had a heart attack today, God forbid, I'm going to guess that there's going to be a couple people that still have a little more of a heart than you do in that party and they wouldn't be happy about it.
But again, all they've got left at this point.
Basically, is not only tearing down everything that's good about America, but basically joking about, and in this case, wishing death on the President of the United States.
Again, I despise Bernie Sanders as a human being.
I think he has been an unbelievably horrible influence on this country, showing young people, particularly, or tricking young people into thinking that envy is virtuous and ushering in socialism, and the revolution will eat him one day too, right?
Because at the end of the day, he'll be an old white man, or in his case, he's an old white, he's a LARPing Jew, basically.
But that's even worse than just being white.
So it'll take him out one day.
But I'm not for someone killing him, and I wouldn't excuse it in the slightest.
And guess what?
I wouldn't excuse it if it happened to Rashida Tlaib or Ilhan Omar or anything else.
We have to have basic rules here, and if we do not, it's over.
But let's show you a little bit how they play both sides on this stuff.
This is so dangerous and dumb what these people are doing.
Okay, first off, let's do he did a couple different things there.
Number one on the gun thing.
First off, an armed population is a safe population.
I don't even have to explain that any further.
Okay, you have every right, and it is your God given right to protect your family and your property and everything else.
Just because someone had a gun does not mean, and had horrible intentions, doesn't mean you take away our God given rights.
But think about it this way.
Let's say right now, Donald Trump was like, you know what, I thought about it, and it's the third time someone's tried to shoot me.
Let's take away some guns.
Do you realize what you've done right there?
You've fully incentivized more people to shoot more people.
Because the people who are anti gun will be like, boy, if we threaten and we start shooting people, what does the government do?
It takes away more people's guns.
So that is the most Trap door of a move you could possibly ever do.
That's number one.
Then he's upset about the polarization that's happening on social media.
Well, I agree that that's happening, but it was your party that admittedly was working with, and you might argue, a fascist type way, because fascism is when the government works with giant corporations to silence all of us and manipulate and de boost and demonetize and everything else, particularly during COVID and around the 2020 election and everything else.
So I don't like you very much, Mark Kelly, but I don't think anyone should kill you.
That's the Fundamental difference between what it seems to be to be the most moderate position of someone on the right versus what a position, you know, whatever it is on the left at this point.
Now, there is one or two guys, you know, who we're talking about already on the left who are not completely insane.
One of them had horrific brain damage, and as his brain healed, he became more conservative.
It's a rather interesting story that will make a hell of a movie one day.
Of course, I'm talking about Mr. Hoodie Sweatshirt himself, John Fetterman, and here he is.
Saying that he never really got why Trump wanted the ballroom, but after all the shootings, maybe he kind of gets it out.
It's just absurd to me why we wouldn't have a more secure issue and have the kind of event just like the ballroom.
I never really had an issue with the ballroom before all that, but clearly what happened there, I can't imagine why we can't just agree like, look, I don't have to love everything about it.
We do need that kind of facility.
And the president may not even be in office when it's even finished, how it would.
It's done.
But our country deserves that.
And that's going to create a venue for more secure and inclusive and really more accessible for people.
I don't know what he means by inclusive there, but we'll let that go.
First off, remember, guys, the ballroom that they are building right now is not costing taxpayers a dime.
It is privately funded, not one dime.
You will not have paid for this ballroom.
By the way, I never, it never popped into my mind.
I literally mean this.
It never popped into my mind until the last couple of days.
That Trump's intention with the ballroom had anything to do with security, right?
The guy goes everywhere all the time despite the threats.
It never crossed my mind that maybe this had something to do with so that they would have a venue at the White House, an indoor venue.
They do a lot of stuff outdoors, an indoor venue that would be better suited related to security if they want to have hundreds or thousands of people inside at the same time.
So I think there is something legit there.
So again, it's not going to cost you a dime, and there obviously are some security reasons.
That it is legitimate.
But this, I thought this was super interesting.
So, this is my buddy Jimmy Fala over on Fox.
You know, he does the Saturday night, late night show over there.
And he was doing like red carpet stuff at the White House Correspondence Dinner.
Here he is caught on a hot mic before the shooting.
Before the shooting.
And listen to what he was saying about the lack of security at the Hilton.
unidentified
I love that they have like two random chicks holding the front door open.
One or two people who I know who are saying that the security was seriously lax and not everyone had to go through.
That hopefully the FBI will look into all of that stuff and they'll do a full autopsy, no pun intended, on the entire thing and figure out what worked or what didn't.
But it is fairly obvious as the temperature keeps getting ramped up by the Democrats that doing things at the Hilton Hotel or a lot of these things are at massive convention centers, you know, many of the political things that I've been to over the years, the turning point events, et cetera, there are huge convention centers where there are.
You know, dozens of entries and people can get in all sorts of ways.
And the question is in the climate that we seem to be in right now, is it worth having a facility at the White House itself that would make these things more secure?
I see no reason for it, no reason that to not do that, especially again because we're not paying for it.
But hopefully, everything can get toned down and turned down and then the president would be able to be doing more of these things out there.
Here is Dan Bongino with a rather intense request.
So, again, this is not that we want the government to come in now.
I can speak for myself.
I don't want the government to come in and force ABC's hand on Kimmel.
But that's really a, that's just one symptom of the much larger disease right now.
And the disease is what we showed you with Dan Goldman.
And the disease is what we showed you with Lenny.
Charlemagne and the diseases, what we've been showing you with Hassan and blood in the streets and Rick Scott's not for universal health care, go kill him and the rest of it.
Like they are testing and testing and testing.
You know what this is?
Maybe we can make a meme about this.
It's Jurassic Park.
Remember at the end of Jurassic Park, like that last half hour, that great moment with the raptors when they're trying to break into the kitchen and you suddenly realize they can open the door and they're testing, right?
They're testing and they're tapping and they're testing that.
Can we grab that?
Maybe we grab that image or we'll throw it at the end of the show or something.
And they're just trying to make, see what they can do.
And you realize they're learning.
They're quite literally learning.
And they're learning together.
Well, that's kind of what the Democrats are right now.
They're a bunch of raptors.
And they are testing the system and seeing how far they can pull and push.
And, you know, it's ironic.
I think I really nailed this one.
They are trying to open that door.
Or, in this case, the Pandora's box that I mentioned earlier.
Do we have the image of that crazy hook that the velociraptor has?
We're working on it, trying to open up that door.
And once they, again, once they open up that door, We can do the exact same thing on our side, and it will not be just and it will not be right or anything else.
And there you go.
That's it right there.
So you've got what a great, I saw that in the theater, I think, on opening night, 1994, if I'm not mistaken.
Yeah, Psyostic Triplex, Long Island, and the smoke out of his nose, the little steam right there.
And then, yeah, he's testing that door.
And that's what they are doing right now.
Chef IQ, and then more on the other side.

All right, so let's talk about some of the other threats that are happening right now.
You guys know Nick Shirley.
Nick Shirley, the very unassuming, I always call him a kid, young man who went to Minnesota to see about the fraud at the quality leering center and all of these daycare centers that apparently were not taking care of children and then started looking into hospices where they were not taking care of old people who were on the verge of death.
And in essence, has exposed hundreds of millions of dollars.
Of fraud of federal money going to these largely Somali run schemes in the state of Minnesota, which are deeply connected to not only Ilhan Omar, but Tim Waltz, who quite literally is not running for governor again for re election, even though he wanted to be vice president because he's caught in the scheme himself.
Here's Nick Shirley about some of the threats he has faced, as two months ago or three months ago, he was not known by anybody, and now basically everyone knows who he is.
In fact, today, April 27th, Is a day that I'm supposedly supposed to die according to a threat made on the internet.
In fact, it's a photo of me in a ditch with a decapitated head that says, This is going to be you on April 27th, 2026, in a muddy ditch alongside the highway with your mother.
Enjoy your last couple of months, buddy.
So, I share this not to scare people, but to more so show them what it's actually like, kind of being in, in, The political climate, not just seeing it from the outside, but being someone who's actually living through it, especially with the last assassination attempt on Donald Trump, the threats are real, and you do have a small percentage of the country, even if it's just 1%, that has gone radical.
All right, there's a couple things to talk about here.
Look, he was just some guy that was like, I'm going to look into something.
Does he strike you as someone that really wants fame, really wants what now is?
Coming to him, does he strike you as someone that's like money hungry or something like that?
Like, he went and did what the mainstream media is supposed to do.
He just started doing a little exploration, a little investigative reporting, and he's getting crazy death threats.
You know, I get all sorts of threats, all sorts of threats.
And sometimes I have to have police cars outside of my house.
I got a crazy amount of cameras here.
We have other security things.
Sometimes we have people that are working here on site.
I don't like talking about it.
I don't like getting into it or anything else.
We've been doxed.
All sorts of crazy stuff, right?
To me, it now unfortunately is just baked into doing what I do, right?
And, you know, Charlie paid the ultimate price for doing what we do.
But it does not have to be this way.
And I suspect that the people who are the equivalents of, say, me and Nick Shirley and Charlie Kirk and ironically Donald Trump, the equivalents of us on the left, I don't think they're dealing with these kind of threats.
Now, that doesn't mean they don't happen at all.
They obviously do.
But again, it is not a 50 50 situation.
Now, the irony about Nick Shirley oh, wait, can you throw up the screenshot there of what he showed you?
So apparently, the guy who made the death threat, his screen name, I guess, on X is Joey Mountains.
Now, what's particularly interesting about this.
Is that guy's got the blue check?
That means that his account, you only can get the blue check if you're verified on Twitter, meaning you've connected your account to a credit card.
So I suspect that that right now is being looked at by the FBI or the DOJ, and we will see what comes of that.
Like these people often are not the brightest bulbs available.
Anyway, what is it that put Nick Shirley on the map?
It's that he exposed the fraud in Minnesota.
And then what happened yesterday?
Absolutely massive, the biggest yet FBI raids in Minneapolis.
Yeah, we have had a photographer there at the daycare since this morning, capturing video of those federal agents just going in and out of the building, collecting evidence.
As part of the DOJ's fraud investigation in Minnesota.
Take a look at this video here.
Sources tell Fox that federal agents are raiding about 22 businesses across Minneapolis this morning.
And sources say many of them are tied to Somali-owned operations.
All of this comes after that viral YouTube video from Nick Shirley.
It was back in December.
In that video, he visited different child care centers.
And you'll remember they were either closed or there were just no children inside.
Okay, so 22 businesses in Minnesota, largely Somali run, are now being looked at because of Nick Shirley.
And then what subsequently has happened to Nick Shirley?
Well, he's got people threatening to kill him.
Did he do anything bad?
Did he do anything mean?
Did he do anything racist or anything else?
Obviously, the answer to all of that is no.
He quite literally did the reverse.
But they've created the conditions that, oh, you're exposing fraud.
There happens to be a lot of Fraud in the Somali community.
And by the way, Ayan Hirsi Ali, who I had on the show months ago, who is also Somali, she talked about how the Somali community, that it's kind of baked into some of their cultural norms to abuse a system as much as possible once you're in it.
She talked about that from a Somali perspective.
But now he's under death threat.
And then this one is just wild.
I honestly thought this was AI when I saw it yesterday for the first time.
This is now Governor Tim Walsh to the backdrop of these raids that are happening.
He wrote this.
If you commit fraud in Minnesota, you're going to get caught, and that's exactly what we saw today.
We catch criminals when state and federal agencies share information.
Joint investigations work, and securing justice depends on it.
That has got to win the most ironic tweet of 2026.
The guy who is in charge of the fraud, who's going to go down because of the fraud, who isn't running for reelection because of the fraud, He is now like, oh, who also accused ICE of being racist and get out of our streets and we're not going to work with you and we're going to defund you and everything else.
He's now, because he sees that this thing can't be stopped, he suddenly is like, yeah, well, we love the FBI and you guys could fix some of this stuff up and everything else.
And, well, Kash Patel, head of our FBI, he saw that and he wrote this.
Come again?
This FBI and DOJ, with our DHS partners, drafted and executed every search warrant today.
But go ahead and take credit for our work while we smoke out the fraud plaguing Minnesota under your governorship.
Like, if you think that Tim Walz had anything to do with helping the federal government on this, well, I've got a quality Learning Center to sell you.
Here's more of what's going on in Minnesota.
And I was actually in Minnesota yesterday.
We'll tell you why in a couple days.
But here is a speaker at the Minnesota State Capitol explaining to us once again that Somalis built Minnesota.
They just, they were out there building the entire thing out of bananas and rice, apparently.
unidentified
So, Minnesotans, I mean, not Minnesotans, Somalis brought more than just, more than just built the economy.
They didn't just build the economy, but we contribute to the soul of this great state.
And I want to remind you that no human is illegal, ever.
You're telling us they built the place, and then you're also basically like no one's illegal.
The implication being is a whole bunch of them are illegal.
Well, let me just give you some basic stats.
This is from the Center for Immigration Studies, and you can like them or you can not like them, but these are the stats 81% of Somali households in Minnesota are on welfare, 73% are on Medicaid, 54% are on food stamps, 89% of Somali households with kids are on welfare.
But they built Minnesota somehow.
Now, again, I don't want you to be racist against them or have prejudice against them or anything else.
Phoenix and I were at the Minnesota airport yesterday.
Our waitress was Somali.
She was very lovely.
And we tipped her accordingly.
Okay?
So you have to treat people as individuals.
But that doesn't mean you ignore overall patterns.
And in this pattern, for whatever reason, the Somali community has not only been abusing the system via fraud, but they are taking way more out of the system than they are putting in.
That just Is reality.
I'm sorry to say it.
I'm also sorry that this lady's in Congress, and this is a doozy.
So, first, here's Ilhan mocking Americans who voted for Trump, and then the most viral video clip of the last two days, which was just extraordinary.
Here's just to contrast where the parties are at right now, let's step away from the fraud for a second.
So you have one party that is completely, well, not step away from the fraud, we're going to show you how you go against it.
You have one party that is completely in bed with all of the fraud.
And by the way, we could connect this to what we talked about last week with the Southern Poverty Law Center funding the bad guys that they claim to be fighting.
Like, that's fraudulent.
It's fraudulent when they fund things that don't actually do the things they're supposed to do.
You know, child care or hospices, et cetera.
That's what the Democrats are doing.
What are the Republicans doing?
The Republicans are auditing the hell out of the government and trying to make sure that our dollars are actually spent properly.
They were going to hate him because of two things pedigree, ability to communicate, and that's it right there.
The pedigree part is obvious.
He works out with the troops.
The bigger part is he's an incredible communicator of the ideas and he's camera ready and a clear communicator, whether it was the Iran war, which in essence is on pause at the moment, or just talking about an audit that we're going to do.
And that's the difference.
Can you imagine literally any Democrat?
Pick a Democrat.
Do you think any of them, the Democrats, they always want more of your money, but they never want to audit anything?
Makes you wonder.
They need a little more cash.
They never want to tell you where the cash is going, how much cash they're wasting.
And here you have the secretary of the head of war.
Hey, we're going to see what we're doing over here.
And if we can cut, we're going to cut.
And guess what?
If we cut, you're going to have a little more money back to yourself.
But now let's go back to the Democrats.
Because while the Republicans are trying to keep the wheels on the car so we don't go off into the cliff, the Democrats are continuing to burn down everything that is right about this country.
So let's go back to Tim Walz, a man who now is, as a moment ago, just taking credit for the FBI going into.
I've been very intentional about making sure that my administration, unlike previous administrations, have people who work for me that reflect the community.
Once upon a time, just to be very blunt with you, two administrations ago, 70% of the mayor's administration were white men, right?
B, you are quite literally breaking federal anti discrimination law.
For whatever reason, you're not going to pay the price for that.
But you literally hire people based on the color of their skin.
I hire people based on how little I can pay them.
That's why I brought these people in.
No, I hire people based on whether they work hard and they're good and they're decent human beings.
That's what you're supposed to do.
So you're not only doing something illegal, you are doing something that inherently, this was the great trick they pulled on us on DEI.
No one's saying don't hire black people, no one's saying only hire white people.
What we're saying is in America, which is supposed to be a meritocracy, you hire the best people.
And over time, that's how you make things better.
But if you artificially say, we're going to bring in these people to do this thing based on the color of their skin, over time the services will be degraded, right?
That is absolute.
Your pilots will be worse.
You know, I was on a Delta flight yesterday.
Delta still, they still have their 2024 awards and they had a DEI sticker on the plane.
I took a picture of it.
Maybe we'll show it in the post game show.
Like they still have that.
But over time, if you say, okay, we want a certain amount of pilots to be black and a certain amount of doctors to be Latino or whatever else, it's not that black people can't be doctors.
Well, first off, you're going to create a generation of people who've been discriminated against who actually will become racist, and in some sense, it will be a sensible racism in a weird way.
But you will also degrade the service.
Then things will get worse, which actually is kind of what the Democrats want.
And to prove that everything they touch, they destroy.
This story is so depressing because it was so obvious.
So last year, ABC News in New York did a story about a bodega owner who was worried about his safety.
Right, because the crime was running rampant.
This is pre Mamdami, but the city's been going the wrong way for a long time.
Well, a couple days ago, yeah, he was killed and they covered it.
unidentified
Self spoke with Eyewitness News a year ago, saying he worried about violence against bodega workers he'd seen on social media.
People got shot, killed, sometimes he got robbed, and the police never responded quick.
Tonight, the organization is wondering if the person who shot Abdul Salah was someone who shouldn't have been on the spot.
I mean, just the fact that they did a story about the guy saying, I'm worried, and a year later he's dead, but that is what's going on there.
I thought Elon summed it up quite well in one of his many viral tweets.
He saw that video we just showed you right there.
He said, If extremely violent criminals are not imprisoned, eventually they will murder innocent people.
This is basic, low level stuff.
And until we become a serious country again, there will be pockets in.
Mostly blue states in blue cities that continue to get worse and worse.
I want to finish up with one thing, which was sort of the other big story.
I told you this is just a jam, like we're doing a lot today, which is that acting Attorney General Todd Blanch says that former FBI Director James Comey has now been indicted over his post, which threatened to kill Donald Trump.
He knowingly and willfully making a threat to take the life of and to inflict bodily harm upon the President of the United States.
Count two.
Same day, May 15th, 2025.
That the defendant, James Comey, knowingly and willfully transmitting in interstate commerce a communication that contained a threat to kill the President of the United States.
Both of these counts carry a maximum term of imprisonment of 10 years.
Other incidents of threats against the President of the United States, those will be investigated.
There's one thing that will never be different, which is that you cannot threaten to kill the President of the United States.
You cannot threaten to kill the President of the United States.
You also can't threaten to kill citizens of the United States.
That is not.
Protected free speech.
As you may remember, what Comey did was this.
I think we have the image right.
He posted, he was on the beach and he posted this.
It said 8647 in shells.
Now, 86, of course, any of you who've ever been a bartender or a waiter or if you've worked in a restaurant or whatever, 86 is when they're out of something.
86.
86, the steak, we don't have anymore.
86, the filet, we're out.
The implication is 86, take out.
Everyone knew what he meant.
Now, was he really, and he just posted that.
And I think he, if I'm not mistaken, he said basically, I didn't know what it was or I thought it was funny or something like that.
Do you throw the former FBI director in jail over that?
I'm actually not sure what you do in these cases, but they keep, but again, this is the Raptor thing that I was saying about Jurassic Park.
They're just testing the door a little bit.
So the former FBI director will imply someone should kill the president.
And, you know, the biggest Twitch streamer on the left, this Hassan guy, will basically say, I understand why people killed Brian Thompson, the healthcare CEO.
And then Lenny, big radio guy on the left, will say, I would understand why somebody might.
Kill Trump, they're upset.
And then everyone will keep saying they're Nazis and racists and everything else.
And then eventually, do you think something might happen?
But again, this is the challenge, not only on the free speech side of what do we want to allow these people to say, protect their free speech, but also do you then want to start channeling people?
I'm actually open to arguments on this one.
But anyway, here's Comey's response to the DOJ indictment.
Do you know what you guys just did to Donald Trump?
Do you know what you did to the January 6th grandmas?
Do you know what you did to this group of people, including America's Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Trump's lawyers who have been disbarred and everything else?
Let's just end real quick because obviously we haven't covered the Iran war in the last.
Few days, we're in the midst of a very shaky ceasefire.
There are some good things happening.
Right now, as we have the Strait of Hormuz blockaded, which is basically costing us nothing, it's costing Iran $500 million a day.
That's $1.3 billion a month.
That's also choking China on the energy side.
Phoenix Roll formula a little bit.
And what that in essence is doing is giving us leverage.
We don't have to bomb in this case.
We're using economic leverage to get Iran to come to the table.
This is truth from Donald Trump.
Iran can't get their act together.
They don't know how to sign a non nuclear deal.
They better get smart soon, President Donald J. Trump.
And, well, for those of you listening on the audio podcast, it says no more Mr. Nice Guy, and that's Trump holding what I believe is an AR 15 with some things blowing up behind him.
Do you think this is negotiation Trump style or what?
And here's a little update from Rubio as to where we're at at the moment.
unidentified
Do you believe the Iranians are serious about making a deal?
