Previously on the Rubin.
unidentified
A little shoes, a little turban.
dave rubin
Dave Rubin, what it.
I plan to confront Secretary Hexet.
But I was just trying to bring Fantanou into the country.
unidentified
Obama was committing war crimes.
dave rubin
Gilligan was out there hanging on to the side of a banana tree.
This is not the book you'd expect me to write.
He just volunteered that I could just hunt shit.
What is up, people?
I'm Dave Rubin.
This is The Rubin Report.
It is December 11th, 2025.
We are live streaming on Rumble, YouTube and locals.
Post-game show, RubinReport.locals.com.
And reminder, just for, I guess, one more day, Copal is 10% off.
If you want to get it before Christmas, go to drinkkopal.com.
As far as I can tell, you don't even need a no code.
We're just giving 10.
We are very nice, tequila-loving people, feeling the seasonal warmth.
Okay, look, let me just kind of level set for today's show.
It's a weird one.
Today's show is just a weird one because I'm going to have to talk about some people that I was friends with.
Some of them, the friendship has kind of dissipated over the course of a couple of years.
Some of them, the friendships have just disintegrated in the last few weeks.
It is a very weird thing that I've referenced on this show and in interviews I've done many times.
You know, being part of the sausage making, like seeing how it's all done and being part of the names that people are always talking about in the newsmakers and trying to balance friendships and still having integrity.
It's tough.
I'm just telling you, it's tough and it's weird.
And I've learned a lot over the last couple of years about managing relationships and expectations with certain people and being pleasantly surprised by some people and being seriously disappointed by some others.
And well, let me, you know what?
I'll just leave that there.
And of course, I have a feeling you can already guess what I'm talking about.
I have tried over the last three months and one day since Charlie Kirk was assassinated to do all the shows related to him and his murder and his legacy and all those things with as much respect as possible.
I've tried not to go after people as there's been a ton of fighting about this.
I've tried not to follow down the conspiracy things.
I've tried not, even the first week after he died, the numbers on our show were huge.
And I was kind of, I felt like a guilt about it in a weird way because it was like my friend was dead.
There was this horrific, unbelievably horrific thing happening to the country.
And yet a lot of people were tuning in.
And when I look at the numbers at the end of the day, it's nice to see that.
But I was kind of conflicted about that even.
But I've really tried, and I think you guys can see that, to do all of this in the most honorable way to Charlie.
Unfortunately, a lot of people online have not.
And they have figured out how to gamify the system and how to take advantage of the algorithms and how to bring people down conspiracy theories.
And they've, you know, there's a set of people that have released private text messages with Charlie.
I have text messages with Charlie saying all sorts of things that will remain between us that are not public knowledge.
And some of it might surprise some people, but I just would not do that.
And I don't think if God forbid something happened to me, that Charlie would have done it to me.
But there's all hell has broken loose, I would say, on the online version of what's going on on the right.
And some of it seems to be being cleaned up finally by Erica Kirk.
Now, I mentioned yesterday, I've only met Erica once.
Actually, it was at Candace Owens, who's kind of been the epicenter of all of this evil and the conspiracy lunacy.
But it was at Candace Owens' wedding a couple of years ago.
I sat next to Charlie.
He introduced me to his then-girlfriend, I think maybe fiancé Erica.
She was really lovely.
We had a great time at the wedding.
God, that feels like many lifetimes ago.
And Erica has largely been quiet over these last couple of months as people have tried to burn down.
her husband's legacy as they've attacked turning point after they've gone after her motives and a whole bunch more.
She has an unimaginable situation on her hands right now.
I mean, her husband is dead.
She has to raise young children.
She's now a public figure.
She's taken over operations at turning point.
Like it's more than probably anyone can handle.
And who knows if she'll really be able to handle it.
But just in the last few days, because Charlie's last book, which is about following the Jewish Sabbath, Shabbat, which is something that he did as a Christian and incorporated into his life.
And I have to say, he is now inspired.
I know a lot of Jews that are following Shabbat again because of that Christian, Charlie Kirk, on top of Christians that are doing it.
I mean, the guy was just unbelievably extraordinary.
And I don't think any of us realized it while he was still here.
In any event, because the book is out and Charlie's not around to do it, Erica is making the rounds on TV, talking about the book, but also talking about the chaos that has ensued over these last three months online.
And finally, she's, I would say, answering some of the questions as it pertains to the people that have been going after her, her family, turning point, and who are making major bank on it.
Here she is on Fox.
erika kirk
Come after me.
Call me names.
I don't care.
Call me what you want.
Go down that rabbit hole.
Whatever.
But when you go after my family, my turning point USA family, my Charlie Kirk show family, when you go after the people that I love and you're making hundreds and thousands of dollars every single episode going after the people that I love because somehow they're in on this.
No.
harris faulkner
You know, I have to say it.
I've never seen you like this.
erika kirk
No, I'm very, this is righteous anger because this is not okay.
It's not healthy.
This is a mind virus.
Yes, I believe in our judicial system.
I do.
We have a hell of a team working on this.
Excuse my French.
But this is not okay.
harris faulkner
So you want to put these people back in the box where they've been creeping from?
erika kirk
I don't care what box you're in.
But just know that your words are very powerful and we are human.
My team are not machines and they're not robots.
They are human.
dave rubin
Okay, so that was yesterday.
I mean, literally three months to the day of her husband being assassinated.
It's just incalculable.
Like you cannot fathom what it must be like to be her right now.
Like if you were a totally private person and your husband was killed in a car accident and you're a grieving widow with kids and everything else, imagine how unimaginably awful that is.
Then you compound it with the media and the public pressure and running this organization and the culture wars and the political fights.
And then people that you knew that you thought at one time at least your husband was friends with.
Because she's talking about Candace there.
It's as simple as that.
She's talking about Candace.
Candace is making major freaking bank by doing these crazy conspiracies that the French are trying to kill her.
The Legionnaires were trying to kill Charlie.
There was an Egyptian plane involved.
And then like, there's so many crazy things in that.
She has a kill switch where she's going to release text with all sorts of people and all of these things.
And every day she's going to release all the information and show the receipts and she doesn't.
And then she gets time stamps wrong on things.
And then that's even more proof somehow that she's right.
It's just crazy.
But Erica, clearly at this point, she sat on it quietly for a while.
And Candace said actually months ago, she's like, the only one who will shut me up is Erica.
And Erica was respectful and calm and maybe just didn't want to get into the fray.
And again, we cannot imagine the pain this woman has been in.
And finally now, three months in, she's pushing back because Candace is now, it's Candace and it's Tucker and it's other people, but it's mostly Candace here.
So let me, before I show you another clip on this, my relationship with Candace goes back a long time.
I've really tried not to do this.
I did not want to do this.
Let me show you a screenshot from 2017.
That is when Candace and I met in 2017 on a live stream on my show when we did something called YouTube Week, where we used to do five, we would do five shows in a week, live shows, where I would just pluck five YouTubers who were small, you know, small, had small channels so that I could help elevate them.
She had a channel.
Her name was Red Pill Black.
I did not even know what her name was when we sat down.
Literally 10 seconds before the live stream started, I realized I didn't know her name.
I was like, I'm about to introduce you as Red Pill Black.
What's your name?
Anyway, we completely hit it off.
I was blown away by her.
She's an unbelievable talent and she is a force.
She's a force of nature.
I thought it was going to be for good.
It turned out to be for something else.
We became quick friends after that.
She stayed over and had dinner.
We made chicken parm, which she loves.
We've made her many times.
That's what we had that night.
She stayed over for about 10 hours, drank a lot of wine, really enjoyed ourselves.
And the rest is history.
The fact that I had something to do in some way with creating this monster, I don't know.
I joke about it, but I'm like, when I meet my maker one day, I know what I'm going to have to answer for.
Anyway, clearly Erica finally called her out on that.
And here is a bit more.
erika kirk
We have more death threats on our team and our side than I have ever seen.
I have kidnapping threats.
I have, you name it, we have it.
And my poor team is exhausted.
And every time they bring this back up, what are we supposed to do?
Relive that trauma all over again?
They watched my husband get murdered.
I have no idea how I would have reacted if I was there that day.
And thank the good Lord that I did not have to see that happen.
But my team, they are rocked to the core.
So why every single day do they have to be dragged through the mud, analyzed, hyper-analyzed?
To sit in a corner and cry and be in fetal position.
This is a duty to my husband and it's an absolute honor.
And I will never back down.
And so my message to them is to stop.
To stop.
harris faulkner
And that's what we will say here on Outnumber.
dave rubin
Look, it's interesting because she's not name-checking her.
I don't know in the entire extended version of that if she ever said her name once, but we know who's the epicenter of this, right?
The epicenter of this thing is Candace.
And then it goes off to Tucker and a bunch of kind of halfwit ding-dong YouTubers that are all just, you know, they're all just trying to get the clicks, trying to get the algorithm to feed it.
The crazier shit that you say, the more clips you will get.
It's a constant challenge for us here for me to do a show that's respectable and decent and also have people pay attention because there is a game that has to be played with thumbnails and algorithms and all of those things.
And it's tough, but that these people decided to dance on the grave of Charlie Kirk.
And that's what they are doing.
And it's not, you know, look, Candace is the primary mover on this, but I don't want to rehash this really right now, but, you know, that a few weeks ago, Tucker put that Fuentes kid on.
Tucker can put on whoever he wants.
He can interview whoever he wants.
He can criticize people and people can criticize him.
But that Fuentes kid was the one person that Charlie did not want part of this movement.
He was the one person he was keeping out of turning point.
And Tucker chose to do that.
So there's a series of people that are just within three months of the murder of this man are dancing on his grave.
I just as a human, forget the pundit, forget Dave Rubin dressed like this.
Just literally don't understand how you can behave this way.
Three months ago, so right after Charlie was killed, and Candace started going down this path, and a lot of people were like, What are you doing?
You're blaming Turning Point, you're blaming the Egyptians and the Frank.
Like, there was all this crazy stuff, and of course, everything with her ends up being about Israel and everything else.
It was all this crazy stuff, and she was getting some pushback.
So, she said, She said this: She said that the only one who would shut her up about this was Erica Kirk.
candace owens
No one, and I mean absolutely no one outside of my husband and Erica Kirk has the power to shut me up right now.
dave rubin
Okay, so her husband and Erica Kirk.
I've met her husband, George, many times.
We've broken bread many times.
Again, I was at the wedding.
I don't know where he is in all of this.
I don't know if he believes what she's doing or anything else.
Probably will never discuss that with him in person.
But yesterday, then, so after three months of all this, where she months ago says, My husband and Erica can shut me up.
Well, now we've heard Erica on this.
We've heard what Erica has said.
She's, in essence, she's doing it with some pretty damn hot, righteous indignation right there.
But she's saying enough.
It's enough now.
It went crazy.
It's enough.
Here was Candace's response to that.
erika kirk
This is my husband.
Yes, he was Charlie Kirk to the world.
And I know so many people love my husband, and I am grateful for that.
But this is my husband.
And I want to be able to have one thing left that is sacred to our family, to my in-laws, to my babies, and to my parents.
One thing.
candace owens
This is going to be read as Megan Markle syndrome, okay?
Megan Markle syndrome, where you want privacy when you want it, but you want publicity whenever you want it.
And that just doesn't work.
Okay.
It doesn't work that way.
But the decision to publish that, you crying over your husband's casket and to publish his dead body on Instagram was a decision that was made by Erica.
And we can watch that.
unidentified
I love you.
dave rubin
I know.
unidentified
I love you.
I love you.
candace owens
That is an incredibly personal and an incredibly intimate moment, an intimate moment that you invited the public into.
Okay.
There was no reason to do that outside of wanting to share something that was very private with the public.
dave rubin
All right.
You guys know I like giving the devil his due, and I think in this case, I'm going to do it literally.
Candace is probably right to some extent.
Like if you're going to share some of those things, then it's just the nature of the internet that people are going to criticize you for those things.
But I would point Candace back to where she was three months ago.
And where she was three months ago was Erica Kirk could put an end to this if she said it.
Well, Erica Kirk has said it now.
So whether you like Erica's behavior now or not, again, Candace, if you're watching the show today, I was at your wedding.
I sat next to Charlie and at the next seat over was Erica.
So how about honor that?
Not the public side of any of this, not the click side of any of this, not the fame side of any of this or anything else.
But how about honor that there were two people who were at your wedding who at one time you liked, you thought were important.
Honor that.
If you can't just honor what you said you would do, how about honor that?
There's another piece of this.
Now it's going to get even weirder because it's just this is where we are at.
Wait, am I doing another Candace one here?
Yeah.
All right.
So before I get to the other thing, let's just show one more of Candace from yesterday.
candace owens
Is this idea that, well, now the widow has spoken.
We're not dealing with the widow.
We want the CEO and the chairman of Turning Point USA to answer.
Okay.
You got it.
If you can't compromise, then I don't see how you're going to be able to lead this organization in the future because Charlie worked.
We knew who Charlie was because he was authentic.
Okay.
He didn't just go, well, I only make time for like big pocket donors.
Okay.
He was sitting college campuses.
He was speaking to people, understanding people.
He was changing his ideas and he was changing minds.
And you are not changing my mind about the fact that something weird happened that day and that TPUSA is acting funny because you give her an impassioned plea and speak about Nehemiah on Fox News.
Okay.
None of it makes sense.
unidentified
All right.
dave rubin
Well, Candace, it was you three months ago that said you'd let this go if Erica asked for it.
And now you're not.
And I'm sorry that her, the way she's going about doing it is not how you want.
But again, I think having a little more humanity here rather than just, I know you're getting an awful lot of freaking clicks.
And I know it's an awful lot of money.
And I don't know what's in your heart and your brain.
I don't know where those two things meet.
But you might want to listen to yourself three months ago as opposed to what you are doing right now.
And again, that's separate than whether maybe it was.
Maybe to some extent it is a bit too much to bite, to chew off, to be a grieving widow and be running this organization amidst all of the political and cultural craziness we have.
But that's a separate issue here.
One of the things that's made this quite difficult and why I haven't dove into this too much.
A, I think you know that my general temperature is I'm really trying to build things here and I'm trying to keep this wide 10 MAGA thing together and I'm trying to keep America as positive a vision as it can possibly be amidst all of this craziness.
And the other part is that because I, you know, basically, you know, it's not just that I put Candace on her first big show.
I think maybe, I don't even know if I've said this publicly, I introduced Candace and Charlie.
I introduced them.
We were at a David Horowitz event right shortly after that interview there with Candace.
So this is around 2017, probably the spring of 2017, David Horowitz Freedom Center.
Someone can find the date on it.
And I was doing an event and Candace was there and Charlie, we were at the Breakers in West Palm and Charlie was about 20 feet away from us in the lobby area.
I remember exactly where we were standing.
And Charlie was there and Candace said, I'd love to meet him.
And we walked up to Charlie.
I said, Charlie, this is Candace Owens.
He immediately was like, oh, I know you.
I've been watching your stuff.
I saw you on Dave's show, blah, blah, blah.
And I walked away.
They talked for about 10 minutes.
And I give you my word.
She walked right back over to me and she said, Dave, I just got a job with Charlie in Turning Point USA.
So I guess I had something to do with that.
And what becomes complex about all these things is you don't want to be criticizing your friends.
I don't want to be criticized.
Candace has been to my house a million times for dinner and all sorts of joyous things that we've done together over the years, which obviously in the last few years have stopped, right?
As I tried to get her off the crazy train, but she kept going.
So now the next part of this that's that's, I would say, more annoying, but at some point it was going to have to be done, is that one of the people who's taken a big hit on all of this has been Megan Kelly, because Megan has refused repeatedly to criticize Candace at all.
And her line usually is that she's a young mother.
And then she's also refused to criticize Tucker.
And she always says, well, Tucker is a friend.
So somebody sent me this.
And this is from last spring.
This is just a 10-second clip of me, of me and Megan, because I was kind of struggling with watching some of my friends go crazy.
And how do you balance friendship in the public sphere?
And just watch this 10-second clip.
It's more like the pundit class where I see guys that are like kind of doing what we do.
And then they kind of go completely off the deep end.
unidentified
And I'm like, do I have to call you out?
It's more that, I think, for me than the answer is yes, you do.
dave rubin
You do have to call it out.
unidentified
All right.
dave rubin
So the answer is yes, you do have to call them out.
That is Megan's answer there.
I've been very conflicted.
I've always been conflicted by that.
I always try.
I tried it with Tucker.
I tried it with Candace.
I always try to reach out to people privately before any of this bursts forth.
But Megan's position is you have to call people out.
Those are her words.
But she's refusing to call out Candace.
unidentified
I don't know her.
I don't really know her that well.
Although I will tell you, we recently had a very nice exchange before all this.
And I was just reminded in my own head that Candace is a young mom of like three young kids.
She's under a lot of pressure.
She's got a big show.
She's been under attack since she came onto the public airwaves and she's been under attack constantly.
And it's my prerogative if I say to myself, that is not someone I wish to attack.
I do not feel that way.
I don't want to do it.
dave rubin
All right.
You're right, Megan.
It is your prerogative.
You can do whatever you want, just like Tucker can run his show however he wants and I can run my show however I want.
We can all share whatever feelings you want.
Now, you might, if you look at those two statements back to back, yes, you have to criticize people and I choose not to.
So is it that, is it really that she's a young mother?
I mean, Megan goes after Megan Markle all the time and all of these Hollywood actresses all the time and everything else.
Megan also has been a friend of mine for a long time and she has been to my house for dinner and she often cooks David's chicken parm, cast iron chicken parm, which she has said is one of her favorite things to cook.
She seemingly has turned on me over this in that she unfollowed me on Twitter a couple of days ago and is not responding to my texts.
I don't care about any of that.
I had friends before this.
I did.
I always tell you, my best friend, John, we met, we were four years old first day of kindergarten.
I remember meeting him.
Now we're 49 years old.
I got these guys in the studio.
I have plenty of friends.
But I'm just trying to show you guys like the discrepancy between the public version of people and the private behavior of people.
So why is it you won't go after Candace?
Either you, Megan, I suppose you agree with her on some of this, or if you don't, it's that you fear the wrath.
And that I actually understand.
Nobody wants to deal with the wrath of having Candace go after you and name check you and say horrible things about you and get into a rap war with you like she does with all these people and send all of the bots and the trolls and all that.
I get that.
I actually get that.
But you're saying it's just that you just choose not to and you choose not to go after Tucker because he's a friend.
I thought we were friends.
Just, again, it does not matter.
In some, like on the friendship level, it doesn't matter.
I had friends before, I'll have them after.
But anyway, Megan has been seriously criticized for this because she's never going after any of this stuff while pretending, while purporting to be a fearless, bold truth teller, et cetera, et cetera.
When she had Ben Shapiro on her live show a couple of weeks ago, we played some clips of that where Ben, I thought, did an incredible job of going on someone else's show with a live audience and saying some very, very controversial things, including that Erica, including that Candace had been going after Erica and Turning Point as it relates to Charlie's murder.
The next day, Megan went on and said this.
unidentified
And I was taken aback because that seems like something I would have heard.
It's so crazy.
And I have since learned it is not true.
Candace has not made that claim.
And in fact, I've now seen several clips of Candace specifically defending Erica Kerr.
dave rubin
Okay, so that's actually not quite true because she's been dancing around it, the implication of its turning point.
Well, she is the CEO of Turning Point and kind of saying maybe Erica knew, like, she's doing all these strange dances.
Here is Candace yesterday.
candace owens
Okay, super fun show today.
You're probably seeing the clips, but Erica has gone off on conspiracy theorists.
Obviously, every journalist out there is emailing me because it's about me.
It's indirect, but it's also about me.
And don't worry in case you think it's not about me.
She is going to name check me on stage with Barry Weiss on Saturday.
How do we know?
Because our mommy sleuths be everywhere.
And they recorded the town hall today.
And as soon as the town hall concluded, we got a flutter of emails.
And what she says about the Egyptian plains, I'm sorry, not going to lie.
It's a little suspicious.
It's weird.
It's a weird response.
So look, we got to go there.
dave rubin
Okay, so she obviously is implying that there's that Erica is somehow up to no good related to all of this.
God, it's fucking bad.
You know, this is also someone, she's got a super fun show today.
She does her little selfie video.
A week ago, she said that the French legionnaires were trying to kill her and that there was, and that Emmanuel Macron had put $1.5 million into some secret account for her death.
And then that weekend, she went to Dollywood and then went to Tucker Carlson's Christmas party.
Like this is, this is literally insane.
So, okay, so let's just put all of that there.
I don't know what to say about some of these people.
I genuinely don't know what to say.
You think you know people.
And I've met some really awesome, authentic people while doing this, you know, like, and I've really, over the last couple of weeks, been like trying to sort that in my brain.
Like, who are the good people, like really good people who I really know, who have honor and behave the same way on camera and off camera?
And who are the others?
And it's even, you know, maybe you're supposed to learn more of that lesson probably when you're in your 20s.
And I'm learning it in my late 40s, I guess.
As Erica's going on many of these shows, I thought this was just a great moment because one of the people who influenced Charlie most was my good friend Dennis Prager, who, as you guys know, he took a fall about a year ago and he has no ability to move his body below his neck right now.
I'm hopefully going to see him in a week or two.
I've seen him at the hospital.
And it's a major loss that we have with Dennis right now.
But here's Erica with Brian Kilby talking about how Dennis influenced Charlie.
unidentified
Dennis Prager was somebody that he dedicated the book to.
He did.
dave rubin
What did Dennis Prager bring to Charlie Kirk?
unidentified
So Charlie listened to every single fireside chat.
I had the blessing of being able to see Dennis this past week when we were on our way to Florida.
I wanted to see him.
I wanted to be able to just read to him the dedication of the book that Charlie did for him and just say, Dennis, you will always be one of the most influential voices of our time.
Thank you for taking the time to pour into my husband.
dave rubin
I just love that.
Dennis has loomed so large over our life and my family's life and been such a good human being.
And the fact that Charlie saw that and dedicated this last book, which again, it's about the Jewish Sabbath written by a Christian, I just think is so absolutely beautiful.
And they cared.
They both cared.
You know, it's interesting.
Dennis and Charlie, it's not a coincidence that he dedicated that book to him.
They cared.
What did they care about?
They really, really cared about the country.
They cared about the United States of America, but they both really cared about their faith, even though their faith was a little bit different.
And part of what I've tried to do here is blend those things together for people because it's not all about politics, but the politics part is important.
So as long as we're on this journey calling out some of this nonsense with Candace, here she is recently on the political side of things.
And you tell me, is she on your side?
candace owens
I don't care about your midterms.
Okay.
I don't care about your next year midterms and whether or not the Republican Party is united.
Okay.
dave rubin
I care.
I care about those midterms because if the Democrats win and they keep getting cities like they just got New York City, and if, you know, Jasmine Crockett becomes a senator from Texas, we could give this all up.
We are rolling into our 250th anniversary, 2026, 250 years of America.
Pretty freaking sweet, but pretty freaking young.
Most countries in Europe are way, way older than us, some of them in the thousands.
We may not make it.
So you better damn well care.
So when you hear people like her saying, well, I don't care anymore, the Republicans suck, or Tucker's been saying it, you know, he hates the Republicans, something like he hates the Republicans more than he hates the Democrats.
I'm not saying everything they do is perfect.
It is what it is.
It's politics.
But if you can't see what is good and what is bad right now, or you're somehow rooting for the bad side so you can punish some other people, I don't know what to do with you.
And I don't think Erica knows what to do with a lot of this either.
bari weiss
Erica, one of the most alarming things about Charlie's murder was the way that some people in this country reacted to it.
unidentified
Yeah.
bari weiss
And not just online.
This was kind of, this was an idea that you encountered a lot.
And the idea was this.
They kind of justified it.
They basically said that because Charlie said or believed things that they believed were controversial or even hateful, that he somehow had it coming.
What do you say to people who justified his death?
unidentified
You're sick.
erika kirk
He's a human being.
You think he deserved that?
Tell that to my three-year-old daughter.
unidentified
You want to watch and hi-res the video of my husband being murdered and laugh and say he deserves it?
There's something very sick in your soul.
And I pray that God saves you.
dave rubin
So there's two things going on here.
So in that clip, they're talking about the people that kind of celebrated it, right?
And there were a certain set of people.
It wasn't everybody on the left at all.
We've been warning for quite some time, if you called everybody Nazis, that people might start killing Nazis, but it wasn't everybody, but there was a certain portion.
So that's one set of people.
The other set that's not directly referenced there, but what we're talking about here is the people that have decided to profit off it, the people who have decided to take everything that Charlie cared about and lived for and burn it down.
You know, Tucker doing that thing about how the people he hates most in the country, or his name in the country, I think he said the people he hates most are Christian Zionists.
Charlie was literally the number one Christian Zionist in the world in some sense, right?
That this is the road that you guys have all gone down.
So whether it's for money or for clicks or for some trying to fill some freaking spiritual void or something, it's like everybody may maybe right now, you know, it's Christmas in two weeks.
Like maybe everybody wants to pause for a moment and take a moment and think about what that is about, whether you're Christian or Jewish or anything else, what the birth of Christ is about.
Maybe we want to think a little bit about humility and forgiveness and everything else, which is why I'm trying to do this show this way and not add fuel to the fire.
And I didn't, for weeks now, Phoenix and I have been having a back and forth on how do we deal with this?
And should I be fighting back, you know, because I'm getting name-checked in Tucker's show and Candace and all this stuff all the time.
And do I want to be part of that?
Is that what I want my life to be?
And do I want to just narrate the end of the world?
You know, they used to say the revolution will be televised and now the revolution will be live streamed.
And how much do you want to do that?
And how much do you want to call out your friends and everything else?
Look, I guess I'm not friends with Megan anymore.
Okay, okay, it's fine.
Like, it's literally, it's fine.
It's fine.
When Chian followed me on Twitter for two minutes, I was like, well, that kind of sucked.
Like, what's going on here?
And then I was just like, it's fine.
It doesn't.
None of this matters in that personal, like that doesn't matter to you.
That doesn't matter to the culture war, right?
And in a way, it doesn't matter me.
Again, I have friends.
But something about what is happening right now is way deeper than just the political part.
And we've got to figure this out.
Can we put a bow on that for now and move on to some other things?
All right, we're going to put a bow on that for now and move on to some other things.

All right, let's shift all together.
Maybe I can get my normal cadence back and we can get some sarcasm and fun into this thing.
Yes, something, something.
Where's the whoopee cushion when you need it?
Well, there are some drugs trying to be brought over.
I'm going to have to go really over.
There's some drugs being brought over from Venezuela.
We're blowing them up.
You know what's happening, but it's now getting a little bit worse.
So we're blowing up some boats.
People are freaking out whether we're allowed to kill all of the drug narco-drug traffickers or not.
There's been this whole fight about that.
But it now does seem to have escalated a bit because, listen to this from the BBC, U.S. forces have seized an oil tanker off the coast of Venezuela, President Donald Trump said, marking a sharp escalation in Washington's pressure campaign against Nicolas Maduro's government.
Releasing a video of the seizure, Attorney General Pam Bondi described the vessel as a crude oil tanker used to transport sanctioned oil from Venezuela and Iran.
Caracas swiftly, Caracas swiftly denounced the action, calling it an act of international piracy.
Earlier, President Maduro declared that Venezuela would never become an oil colony.
For multiple years, the oil tanker has been sanctioned by the United States due to its involvement in an illicit oil shipping network supporting foreign terrorist organizations, the nation's top prosecutor Rodan X.
It involved two helicopters, 10 Coast Guard members, and 10 Marines, as well as special forces.
Okay, so this is an escalation one way or another.
It's one thing if we're just blowing up the drug traffickers who are literally taking drugs to our shore.
And we can have the, as I've said, we can have the political and we can have the moral and philosophical debates about blowing those ships up.
Do you interdict them?
Do you pick up the people before the double tap?
All of those things.
But, you know, basically taking an oil tanker is, I think it's fair to say it's an escalation one way or another.
Here's Donald Trump being asked about it.
Well, we keep it, I guess.
unidentified
What does it call?
What force is it going to take?
Well, you have to follow the tanker.
tom homan
You know, you're a good newsman.
unidentified
Just follow the tanker.
Follow it.
dave rubin
Get a helicopter.
unidentified
Follow the tagline.
Is it true it's going to keep that?
But we're going to, I guess so, we're going to keep the...
dave rubin
It's just Trump at his best because he doesn't have the answer for everything.
Like, he's not exactly sure where the oil is going to go and what are we going to do with it.
But he is sending a serious signal.
It's always about the signal, guys.
You don't get peace through weakness.
get peace through strength.
So what have we done with Venezuela and their communist government?
We've said stop sending drugs here and oh by the way we have sanctions on Iranian oil.
You guys seem to be shipping it in these in these ships so we are going to do something about it and Trump is he's just being honest there.
I'm not exactly sure what we're going to do with it.
I love you like your journalists track the freaking thing.
But of course there's a certain set of people who, as I've been saying, I do think Trump derangement syndrome one day will be actually classified as a mental disorder.
This is a guy.
He's quite a looker, by the way.
He's Michigan Representative Sri Thandakar.
And he's introducing articles of impeachment for Pete Hegseth for murder of the drug-trafficking narco-terrorists who were bringing fentanyl to our shores.
Watch this video, although I do have to note his eyebrows are freaking me out.
So if you're with small children, you might want to cover their eyes, go.
shri thanedar
Hello, this is Congressman Shri Thanidar.
Today I introduced articles to impeach Secretary Pete Hegseth for murder and conspiracy to murder and reckless and unlawful mishandling of classified information.
Since day one, Secretary Hexet has disgraced that once proud office that he holds from issuing orders to kill everybody on board a small boat with no evidence of any wrongdoing to launching a follow-up strike to finish off survivors who barely clinging onto their life.
We must impeach and remove Pete Hexet as soon as possible.
Thank you.
dave rubin
How do you get eyebrows like that?
You know, it's a pencil.
It's a pen.
It's what they did with Jerry's uncle, Uncle Leo.
Remember when he goes to the doctor and they draw the eyebrows on and then the doctor thinks he's angry?
That's what they did right there.
Come give me a picture of Uncle Leo with the eyebrows.
We'll do that real quick.
Interesting, Thandakar over there.
His previous job was in a New Jersey lab.
I think he was some sort of doctor or something, and they were running some sort of experiments.
He left 150 dogs to die.
So he's not a really spectacular fellow.
Although that does remind me, you know, if you're ever at an Indian restaurant and you're not sure about tipping, there's a very important piece of information that you must know, which is don't forget to curry the one.
Otherwise, you'll cheap out on the guy who brought your vegetable pal.
Tracy, do we have an image of Uncle Leo?
We're working on Uncle Leo and his eyebrows.
I'm not moving forward with the show until we have a picture of Uncle Leo.
And look at those eyebrows right there.
And those are the Thandakars.
That's what we're going to call them from now on.
So look, despite all this craziness that's going on right now, interestingly, you know, we showed you a CNN poll last week that said 87% of Republicans still support Trump.
And now it even seems that some of the independents who are waffling and every day, you know, you're an independent.
So you're just like, eh, like, they even seem to be coming around a little bit.
Here's Bill O'Reilly on that.
bill oreilly
Trump's approval is up, okay, because of what he's doing to the drug dealers.
That's why it's up, because most people want them blown to hell.
That's why that number is up.
You know, the press doesn't want it.
Oh, you can't do that.
The regular folks who know how horrible this drug traffic is, every time a boat is blown out of the water, they're giving him a standing O. That's why his numbers are up.
unidentified
Well, there would be all the counter organs of that.
There are polls out there who would suggest they're not in favor of this military action towards the vessels, right?
There would be those who say, why are we getting involved this financially?
bill oreilly
Harvard Harris came out yesterday and was overwhelming that the American public want to hold the drug cartels accountable.
Overwhelming number.
dave rubin
Yeah, put aside the numbers for a second and the polls and everything else.
I just, as I've been saying, like, I personally don't care that much about what happens to the narco-terrorist drug traffickers who are bringing fentanyl to our country.
And I don't think most people do.
Now, when that video gets released and we see two guys hanging on to the board and they get hit with the double tap, might it pull on some heartstrings?
Because we're not downright evil as Americans.
It might.
Do we understand all the pressures that the military is under and we don't want to put our people in threat?
I would much rather have a narco-terrorist dead than one of our soldiers break a finger.
That's just me.
Again, I don't think that makes me a dick.
I think it makes me a decent American.
So I don't think this is a losing thing for Trump at all.
And I think he is going to keep going.
Of course, when things are going Trump's way, what do they have to do?
They have two cards they can pull out.
They can either pull out just the general state of fear card, right?
We're going to cancel elections and Hitler's on the way, or that he's racist, right?
Like the racist is the easy one.
And a certain set of people just keep drinking this shit.
And it's hollowing them out on the inside like drinking Drano and they keep drinking it.
Joy Behar.
joy behar
So if we just talk for a second about the blatant racism, though, what's the difference between Somalia and Norway?
Hello?
unidentified
Yeah.
joy behar
I mean, it's so obvious that that is what it is.
And he doesn't even try to collapse people.
unidentified
Yeah.
joy behar
He doesn't even try to cover it up at all.
No, he doesn't try it.
I don't know if he tried to cut ever.
dave rubin
Oh, yes.
The only difference between Somalia and Norway is that in Somalia, it's black people and in Norway it's white people.
That's it.
There are no cultural differences.
There are no behavioral differences.
There are no economic differences.
There's no leisure differences or anything else.
There's no differences in how they treat women or anything else, which I'm sure, Joy Behar, you're going to take your next vacation in Somalia because you're not a racist.
Do we have some images?
Could we maybe look at an image of, well, you have an image of Somalia you could put up?
Let's, here's just, we're doing this on the fly here.
We're going to work.
All right, we're going to get, we're going to get a back-to-back.
Well, you can choose, Joy, and you can vacation in Somalia right there in that pile of whatever is going on there.
Or you can go to Norway.
I'm not even going to tell you which.
You know what?
Which one's which, Joy?
Which one is Somalia and which one is Norway?
You're going to have to figure it out for yourself.
It's just utter drivel.
And we have had enough of it in America, which is why we are sending ICE to do the job that the previous administration did not do, which is get illegals out of the country.
So here's a little compilation of ICE over the last few days, getting illegals out of Minnesota.
And remember, for any part of this that you're watching where you're going, I don't like what's happening here, or it seems a bit much.
They're not taking anyone who's a legal citizen.
They are taking people who are illegal, which, contrary to what Lady Eyelashes thinks, if you are here illegally, you have broken the law.
Okay, so again, you have someone screaming, what's your name?
Because there's like lawyers on the ground to make sure that the illegals get to stay.
Look, nobody loves the optics.
In some sense, it's similar to blowing up the, it's the double tap thing that you might see the video and go, ah, should we have done it?
No one loves the optics of guys having to go into cities and grab people.
I don't know about nobody, but like, I don't love the optics around it.
But if they are getting illegals, how else are you going to do it?
You know, one of the things that I always hear, even like the somewhat moderate liberals say, I'll give you one.
Jason Kalanakis from the All-In Podcast, who's a decent guy, and he's done this show and I've done his show.
I like him a lot.
And he's more of a Biden-ish, you know, he's not like a complete loony lefty, but like one of the sort of moderate sort of gets it, doesn't get it, guys.
But I like him.
He's a good human being.
We have a great, he loves sci-fi.
We had a great conversation about alien movies.
Anyway, he's one of the ones that would be like, well, it's just, we don't like how you're doing it.
I've heard him say that we don't like how you're doing it.
He said it to JD on stage at an event I was at in D.C. in terms of deportations.
And it's like, how else would you like it to be done?
Do you want people to show up with flowers?
You want an ICE agent to show up with a bouquet of roses and get on his knee and propose as to whether you're going to leave the country.
It can't be done another way.
And again, you can't blame the people trying to clean it up.
You should blame the people who created the mess in the first place.
One of the guys trying to clean it up, or maybe the guy trying to clean it up, of course, is Tom Homan.
And here he is basically dropping the hammer on Moron Zamboni, saying no matter what you do in New York City, we are still going to enforce the law.
zohran mamdani
Without a judicial warrant signed by a judge, ICE is legally allowed to lie to you, but you have the right to remain silent.
If you're being detained, you may always ask, am I free to go?
Repeatedly until they answer you.
You are legally allowed to film ICE as long as you do not interfere with an arrest.
unidentified
Any thoughts on that?
tom homan
We know the law better than anybody, and we're going to keep enforcing law in New York.
We're there today.
We're there right now doing operations.
We'll be there tomorrow.
We're going to keep doing what we're doing.
We're arresting public safety threats every day.
And because we're forced in the community, because places like New York City is a sanctuary jurisdiction, when they force us in the community to find the public safety threat and national security threats, many times are with others.
Others that may not be a public safety threat, but they're in the country legally.
Well, guess what?
They're coming too.
So educate these people all you want.
We know the law and we're going to keep doing what we're doing.
dave rubin
Yeah, I mean, that's why I always say he is the guy that will play himself in the movie about him.
Like, it's as simple as that.
We are going to keep doing this.
And I would say Zorhan over there is getting as close as you can to breaking federal law.
There are several federal laws as to what you are allowed to do against federal laws, meaning if you are a public official and you are, you know, he's basically edging up as close to the line as you possibly can to stop ICE from doing its job.
And this guy hasn't even been sworn in yet.
Again, why is he doing these commercials right now before he's even been sworn in?
How about do some commercials about the people of New York who are law-abiding citizens there?
Oh, right.
You have been doing some of those.
You just want more of their money.
And of course, what happens when these illegals get in here?
They create all sorts of criminality and they leech off the system and bad things happen.
This is interesting.
Listen to this from Matt Van Swoll on X. Oscar Solarzano, who stabbed a man on the Charlotte, North Carolina light rail on Friday, was just denied bail due to IRNA's law.
Oscar had multiple prior arrests for violent behavior and because of Arena's law, he will remain in prison under his trial.
So leave this up for a second.
So Irina, of course, is the woman who was killed in August.
It didn't break the news till September, who was killed by that crazy person who said something to the effect of, I got that white girl or something like that, stabbed her and she just bled out in cold blood on the Charlotte light rail.
Then they passed a law, Arena's law, which effectively eliminated cashless bail.
So now when it happened again and somebody got stabbed by an illegal, again, now the cashless bail is keeping that guy in jail.
So things can slightly change for the better every now and again.
Here's a bit more from Matt.
The man stabbed in the chest by an illegal alien on the train in Charlotte, North Carolina, Kenyon Dobby.
That's the man.
He happens to be black, which is sort of an interesting flip on all these things, is in critical condition with a tube in his chest pumping blood out of his lungs.
According to authorities, Dobby was the only person who stood up and told the drunk illegal to stop screaming at riders, including an elderly woman on the train.
For his efforts, he was knifed in the chest.
I guess it's better off that it happened to me and not an older person.
I wasn't trying to be a macho man, but I won't, but what I won't allow is you to attack a random person for no reason, especially the elderly.
Can we find out?
Is there a go fund me or a give send go or something?
Because I will gladly donate money for this guy.
Anything I can do when he's ready, I will have him on the show.
I mean, like, that's what a hero is.
That's a true American, and that's a hero.
And that's someone who puts other people before themselves and wanted to make sure that someone else didn't get stabbed, that an elderly person didn't get stabbed by the drunk illegal.
So who is who?
And shouldn't that be the lead story on MSNBC right now?
But it's not.
They will throw the black American hero under the bus.
They will throw the black American hero under the bus because they put the illegal drunk, you know, would-be murderer above the black American hero.
And that is why intersectionality makes you fucking retarded.
There is a give, send, go for Kenyon Dobby.
That's fantastic.
We have an image of it.
I'm going to donate immediately after this.
I'll throw in a thousand bucks right now.
Maybe I'll do more, but at least a thousand bucks.
I'll do it right after the show.
God bless that guy.
Like, that's what we need more of.
And, you know, throwing money at something is like, in some ways, it's the least you can do, but it's something.
It's something.
That guy's a freaking hero right there.
We've got a bit more on some of Trump's policies and going into effect.
dana perino
On tips and overtime.
There's a max reduction for tips.
It's $25,000.
So imagine if you are somebody who uses tips as part of your salary or to make your living, that will have an impact.
The senior deduction, you have to be 65 years old.
It phases out at $75,000.
But again, for people who are saying gas prices, which are lower, but that food prices are higher, that it's hard for them, that might help as well.
There's a no-tax on car loan interest.
Now, that can be helpful, but what might be even more helpful is what they announced last week, which is they're doing away with some of the EPA rules on these carb and fuel mileage.
That actually will help bring the cost of cars down probably even more.
And then a child tax credit expansion.
That's very bipartisan.
A lot of people like this.
dave rubin
All right.
So these are all good things.
These are all things that will put more money in your pocket, give you more ability to do with your money what you see fit and take care of your family.
It's not the government handing things out.
It's tax cuts and tax benefits so you can do more.
So I would say to kind of get this closer to the beginning of the show, it's like Candace, when you and somebody, when you say, well, you don't care who wins the midterms, and when Tucker says he hates the Republicans even more than the Democrats, it's like, okay, well, what is it that you're actually trying to usher in?
Why is it that I know you're on your quest despite the French trying to murder you to unleash to uncover the real killer of Charlie?
But maybe you want to do a couple shows that are positive about what Trump is doing here and things that are good things that are happening in America.
Otherwise, you're quite literally going to hand it to the communists.
Like, is that what you want?
Well, maybe it is.

Here we go.
Joe says, any thoughts on Miami's mayor-elect Eileen Higgins?
So I should note that I live in the suburbs of Miami.
I'm in Miami-Dade County, but I don't live in Miami proper.
So Francis Suarez, who I've had on the show many times, who is an incredible mayor, and I've been out and about in some of the areas that he was mayor of.
And people love this guy.
And he's just, he was everything right with this city and did an incredible amount related to all the incoming tech bros that came here and the infrastructure that needed to be to be built and everything else.
Just did an absolutely bang up job.
Well, his second term ended, and Miami has now just elected a woman by the name of Eileen Higgins, who we showed you a video yesterday.
She's denying, she won't even deny that she's a socialist.
There are a hundred, she won, she won the election over this Republican, doesn't even matter who, by a decent margin, you know, 10 points or something.
But only 20% of eligible voters voted.
There are 174,000 registered voters in Miami proper, not Miami-Dade County, Miami.
She got 22,000 votes, and now she is the mayor.
So Miami itself went blue for the first time in 30 years.
Look, my hope is because Florida is so strong overall, and because we are a law and order state, and all of the good things, and I don't have to smack you over the head with you, hear me talk about it all the time, that she will not be able to do much damage.
But if she reverses some of the policies as it pertains to homeless people or some of the policies as it were, you know, in terms of crime and some of these other things, it could be bad.
So I am not a fan of hers.
I don't know enough to like sit here and just rail on her endlessly, but she's a Democrat.
So it's like, show me the money.
Well, that's what they want her to do, but show me the effectiveness and we'll see what happens.
Crafty Cat says, what is your favorite game to play when your family gets together?
So my family, our yearly tradition always has been Trivial Pursuit, which we were doing as long as I literally as long as I can remember, which is, you know, I'm sure most of you have played Trivial Pursuit or at least know it is.
I mean, you got to be pretty bright and they got all sorts of questions related to history and politics and sports and art and culture and all of those things.
I think, isn't it the Bubble Boy in the Bubble Boy episode of Seinfeld?
Isn't he playing Trivial Pursuit with the Bubble Boy?
And it's the moops, not the Moors.
Yeah.
And yeah, and then we play some card games and Uno and that kind of stuff.
And oh, and now that there's a younger generation, we've been big on apples to apples.
And yes, it was Trivial Pursuit that George played with the Bubble Boy.
Brian says, what are your thoughts on the Aussie ban on social media for youth under 16?
And do you think it would work here?
Yeah, you know, we should have covered this a little bit more.
I talked about it a bit when I was in Australia and it was the big, it was one of many big topics happening in Australia.
They just passed it about a week ago.
People knew it was coming down the pike, but they have banned social media for children under 16.
Look, it brings up a lot of things.
You can make absolutely the pure kind of libertarian arguments.
What does this have to do with the government?
And the parents should be the one who ultimately decide and all of those things.
And I'm very sympathetic to those arguments.
Then there's the other arguments where it's like what's going on on social media and the two-way communication that happens between the world and your kid is so profoundly dangerous.
And the way that doom scrolling and everything else is breaking brains, that maybe if the government has any purpose to serve the public good, like maybe this is something that they could do.
My general preference, look, the other part of this, of course, is that kids are smarter than adults, especially as it comes to innovative new technology.
So if you think that the average 15-year-old isn't going to figure out a way around this, or that many parents will help them figure out a way around it, or whatever it is, like the parents are going to quite literally give the kid an iPad with their own sign-ins, and maybe that's a way they can track him.
This is the great challenge of our time, in some sense, as parents.
And I would say it's more than a generational.
This is a civilizational challenge.
What will our behavior be with the digital world, right?
This is why I always reference Ready Player One.
And by the way, I just interviewed one of the producers of Ready Player One, which we'll put up over the Christmas break.
It was quite interesting.
But this divide between digital world and our, let's say, carbon reality and how we are going to negotiate all this.
And I don't know.
Do you want the government coming in and saying, well, you're this age, you can't be on that?
Or do you want it to be the responsibility of parents?
It is a great challenge.
Look, we'll see.
This is the beauty of having different countries do things differently and not just some giant global government.
We'll see what happens in Australia.
And then maybe we can learn some of the lessons here in the States.
Eurasian says, did you see if your old pal, Anna Kasparian, drank any Copal while she was on Bill Maher's podcast?
Do we have an image?
Do we have an image of that?
I think we've got an image.
Yeah, Bill is drinking Copal there.
Wait, is the bottle?
Yeah, the bottle.
You can see the bottle right behind the gold sort of orb there or whatever.
I think that's where he keeps the weed.
Bill was drinking copal.
He told me it is officially his favorite tequila, which I'm so thrilled about.
And I love hearing the compliments on it.
We've made something so exquisite and elegant.
My guess, well, first off, if she knew it was mine, my guess is she wouldn't drink it.
And I think if I saw correctly, it looked like she was drinking something a little browner, which was probably whiskey.
But I texted Bill yesterday after we did the show and I said, man, that was you at your best.
When he asked her in the most calm, not attacking, pleasant, you're at my house kind of way, you know, where could you wear that dress in the Middle East?
And so simply using the Socratic method, just disassembled her ridiculous logic.
Like, no matter how much she hates Israel and she has a weird obsession with the Jews and all that stuff, it's like, lady, you know, you want to wear that dress.
You wear that dress in Tel Aviv.
Try wearing that anywhere in the Arab world and we'll see.
But she couldn't even choke it out.
You could still say you hate BB and you don't like this, that, and the other thing, but she couldn't even choke that out.
And that exposed her far more than probably in many ways anything else in some sense, because it's so freaking obvious.
So kudos to Bill.
And you know what?
Let's send him a free case.
Another case going to Mar over there as a thank you.
Margaret says, if Nazis as socialists were therefore on the left, it seems to me that the horseshoe theory of politics is based on faulty information.
Why do we keep trying to explain politics as Nazis being on the right?
So this has been an ongoing debate that people have had for a long time.
And there is some legitimacy to it.
And it also explains what the horseshoe theory of politics is.
If you are a national socialist, which is what the Nazis were, the Nazis wanted very tight immigration laws, right?
Now, the problem, you can have tight immigration laws, and there's nothing wrong with that.
And you should be able to define your borders and everything else.
The problem is they had a huge problem with people that were in their country who were legal citizens, whether they were Jews or they were gypsies or they were gay or several other minorities.
Okay, so there's one issue around immigration there, but they wanted strong, powerful governments, right?
They weren't that into free markets or anything else.
Then you take what's happened with our current left, which now is obsessed with race and everything else.
That kind of sounds a little Nazi-like too.
So one of the things that people have been talking about on the horseshoe theory of politics, and I think it's partly why Tucker these days has way more in common and will say way nicer things to people on the left.
He'll go after Ted Cruz as if he's the devil incarnate, but then he will have Anna Kasparian on or he will have Nick Fuentes on or some of these other people.
And what that's showing you is the people on the right, traditional right, who are into this thing, they want strong borders, right?
And then they want government control over the economy, socialism.
The people on the left, they want open borders, but they want government control over the economy.
So they've sort of come around on things and they do then add the racial side.
So were the Nazis really on the right?
If the spectrum is basically left is control and right is freedom, that's the best way I can lay it out for you.
The further right you go means to me, the less government you want, the less control you want, the more you believe in the individual, right?
That's why it's so funny.
But they call us all far right.
Oh my God, I'm so far right.
I'm so into freedom.
The left is what wants control, but eventually those things kind of come around.
I hope that made sense.
We should dive into that a little bit more.
Guys, let's talk about cars for kids for a minute.
And I think we have a special surprise at the end of this ad, and then we'll have more questions on the other side.
Cars for kids.
Yeah, I know.
You heard the jingle in your head the second I said it.
That's not mind control.
That's just effective marketing.
Anyway, if you've got a car you're not using, don't let it sit and rot in the driveway.
Turn it into something useful before the year runs out.
Donate it to cars for kids.
Got a car taking up space?
Donate it to cars for kids.
Got a car you keep needing to sell but never do?
Let's be honest.
Just donate it to cars for kids and be done with it.
Go to carsforkids.org slash Ruben and fill out the quick online form.
They'll come pick it up for free.
You get a tax deduction and they'll even throw in a vacation voucher as a bonus.
But here's the key.
If you want that 2025 tax deduction, you need to do this before December 31st.
The year end is right around the corner.
Don't sleep on it and miss the write-off.
All right, you know what's coming.
Christy.

Get an assistant who can do both, guys.
That's what they say.
Cheryl says, do you and David light your Hanukkah candles with boys each night?
Also, do they get a present each night of Hanukkah?
Yes, we will be doing all eight nights.
We're going to be doing a bunch of the nights.
My parents are coming down to Florida.
My brother will be down here.
My sister lives down here.
So the whole crew with all the grandchildren will be coming, which will be very exciting.
And we're going to be, well, everyone will be here for a little bit.
Then we have a cousin's wedding and all sorts of stuff.
But yes, we will light a candles all eight nights.
As for presents every night, like I don't really want the kids to have more stuff.
We're really into magnetiles right now.
You guys know about magnetiles, these magnetic, can we get an image of magnetiles?
I'm really pressing, I'm really pushing you guys today.
They're these great, you know, basically we had blocks.
When I was a kid, you had blocks.
They were wooden blocks that you could build a house and then you could knock it down.
Magnetiles, they're plastic with magnets.
So you can really build some super cool things.
So we're really into that right now.
And also I got them from the, or I think my parents got it actually, but from the Spidey and his friends, like his amazing friends, the younger version of it.
They're really into Spider-Man and Rhino and Doc Ock and all that.
These are magnetiles.
They're pretty great.
unidentified
You know what?
dave rubin
You know what?
In lieu of Christmas bonuses for you guys, I'm getting you all magnetiles.
Trust me.
Yeah.
Joseph's into it.
Trust me, it's going to be worth it.
But yeah, we're not really asking people for any gifts.
You know, three is a nice age where they love being outside.
You know, we got a little sandpit out there.
They just don't need that much.
The one thing you guys know, I hate, I can't deal with plastic toys that makes like electronic sounds.
I like wood.
You want wood to whack something?
That's just fine.
Or music.
I can deal with music.
Luke's really into like this little electronic trumpet we got right now, but it doesn't sound electronic.
It sounds like an actual trumpet.
I just can't deal with the beeps and the bings and the dings and the, yeah, okay.
Jen says, what is your prediction for the next presidential election?
Do you think that we can keep the crazies out of the White House for another decade?
I don't know.
Look, you know, I always say I'm usually right about things like directionally.
I think my track record on getting the big issues right is pretty damn good across the board.
But my, you know, political predictions, you just never know, right?
Like I'm going to get things wrong on that.
Nobody wants to be in that prediction game.
Look, conventional wisdom right now is that the Republicans are going to get blown out in the midterms.
Trump will be a lame duck.
They'll just be in exhaustion with all of this.
They have three years basically to keep glazing over Newsome and that he'll be the next president.
That's not my gut feeling.
It's also why I think it's so important to fight for the right things that Trump and the Republicans are doing right now.
Like maybe, maybe, guys, maybe we don't have to go down that path to hell right now.
Like maybe 250, 250, that's what we're going to be next year.
Maybe we buck the trend and the Republicans do okay and continue to build on this incredible legacy.
We are not going to get a better cabinet than this.
Like this is where we're at, guys.
Like maybe, maybe.
Chipster says, apparently Erica Kirk is an avid basketball player.
You should get her on your show and have a little shoot around contest.
So I did not know that.
I think, yeah, so I guess she was a ball player.
That's probably college, right?
Is Regis a college?
Was she a college ball player?
You know, it's interesting.
I can't believe I did not know this about Charlie, especially because he was so tall.
Charlie was a heck of a basketball player.
There's some videos that went around after he was killed.
We never played ball together.
I really wish we would have.
You know, he had a lot of back problems also.
So I don't know how much he was playing in his last years.
What a crazy thing to say.
She played in high school and in college.
I would love to do that.
You know, we have not, a lot of people have asked, are we going to try to get her on now that she's doing the publicity tour and everything else?
My position has been kind of hands-off on all of this.
I haven't reached out to the turning point people to ask them to do anything or anything else.
Like they know where I am.
I would love to sit down with her at some point when it feels right.
I think we will do it.
But yes, I would love to do it here and we can shoot hoops after and see what happens.
Because girls are allowed to like basketball and play in basketball.
And recreationally, they can play against boys, but professionally, they should play against girls without penises.
Elizabeth says, does David still laugh at your jokes?
Oh, that's a good one.
Is Elizabeth David fakes?
That's his burner name, I think.
It's funny.
You know, we've been married over 10 years.
We've been together 15 years.
Like, he knows all my jokes inside and out.
He knows all my dad jokes.
He knows all my Philly stuff.
But it's still like nothing makes me happier, really, outside of like doing, you know, playing with the kids and making them laugh.
Like, if I can still make him laugh, I'm always like, wow, I still got it, you know?
And that's, I think that's what the nature of a good relationship is.
You know, it's, it's, it's literally, I get no kick from champagne, but I get a kick out of you, Frank Sinatra.
Like, if you're with someone that you get a kick out of, then you're good to go.
You can do it forever.
And a lot of times, like, I'll make jokes and just because of, you know, he'll be tired from the kids or whatever.
Sometimes he'll be like, he knows I said something funny.
be like, do I have to laugh at that one?
And it's like, that's good enough.
Just the acknowledgement that what I said might have been funny, that'll get me through the day.
All right, this was an emotional roller coaster.
I think a fine program.
I have nothing else to say.
I'm going to enjoy some lunch.
Tomorrow on the show, we've got my good friend Gad Sad.
And who else is joining us?
Oh, and Viva Freya.
That's going to be a good one.
That'll be tomorrow live at 11.
We got a post-game show in a few minutes, or 30 seconds, guys.
