What is up, people?
I'm Dave Rubin.
This is The Rubin Report.
It is June 18th, 2025.
We are live streaming on Rumble, YouTube, and Locals.
And let me just say, you people have come through for me.
We got another 6,000.
We're going to crush that 3 mil thing.
The goal was August 1st.
3 mil subscribers.
We want to crush the 750 on Rumble.
We are well on our way.
If you haven't mashed the button, just mash the button.
Also, subscribe to the Actual Friends podcast.
We're doing some good stuff over there.
And we have some special guests lined up over the next few weeks.
We have an awful lot to talk about on the program today.
I would like to preface it by saying...
I don't think it's going to happen.
As a matter of fact, I think it's going to be a perfectly fine day, and I think tomorrow is going to be perfectly fine, and so is the day after that.
Everyone calm down.
There's some weird stuff out there, but that's the world we live in.
Let's just roll it back a little bit, take a breath, and see what happens.
Except for the fact that I have to start the show with a clip of the view.
So actually, maybe all hell is breaking loose.
But we're going to step away from the Iran thing for just a moment.
We will get to it in just a few minutes, second portion of the show.
Oh, and also Winston Marshall, formerly of Mumford& Sons.
He's been on the show many times.
He has the Winston Marshall podcast.
He's a great, great guy.
He happened to be in Israel last week, and he is in Israel right now, in Tel Aviv.
And I think we're going to grab him on, well, we used to call it Skype back in my day, but I guess it's Zoom or something else.
And hopefully he'll be live joining us, assuming everything is okay with the connection and all that in about 15 or 20 minutes.
But we are going to start with The View, because I didn't want to just dive right back into the Iran-Israel stuff.
I wanted to do something else up top.
And Arnold Schwarzenegger, actor.
Former governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, went on The View, and he is obviously an immigrant to the United States.
He might be the greatest immigrant successor in the history of this country.
Quite literally, he might be as a first-generation immigrant to become the superstar of superstars in America, then become a governor in America and all the rest of it, like a true living legend.
There aren't many of them that walk this earth anymore.
Anyway, he went on The View yesterday, and the ladies really wanted to kind of get him on some immigration stuff because he is an immigrant.
Of course, they seem unable to make the distinction between legal and illegal immigrant.
Here is Anna Navarro asking Arnold if he's appalled by these ICE raids which are only designed to remove illegal immigrants.
joy behar
You are an immigrant.
You're an immigrant in this country.
Did you have a visceral reaction to what they're doing, what ICE is doing when you see the videos of it?
arnold schwarzenegger
Well, I tell you, you said that the immigrant, I'm so proud and happy that I was embraced by the American people like that.
I mean, imagine they came over here with the age of 21, with absolutely nothing.
And then to create a career like that.
I mean, in no other country in the world could you do that.
Every single thing, if it's my bodybuilding career, if it's my acting career, becoming governor, the beautiful family that have created all of this.
It's because of America.
joy behar
That's true.
arnold schwarzenegger
And so this is why I'm so, so happy to see firsthand that this is the greatest country in the world, and this is the land of opportunity.
dave rubin
Okay, so I wanted to start with that clip because they're bringing him on because they clearly want to get him on illegal, the lack of distinction between legal and illegal.
Legal and illegal immigration.
And I thought it was just beautiful that to just start, and Arnold's had some strange things in his politics over the last couple of years.
He was really bad on COVID, but he was just great right there.
Like what this country did for him, it is an unimaginable dream for a kid in any country, anywhere on earth to come to America.
And there was a time in the 80s and 90s where that guy, he put out, I think, we can check the numbers on this.
But he had something like 10 number one movies in a row.
He just crushed it time after time after time.
He then did comedies as well, then becomes the governor.
Like it's a miraculous career that if you wrote it in Hollywood, people wouldn't even believe it.
Before we move on and get into the meat of all of this.
I want to just quickly go through my top five Schwarzenegger movies of all time.
And I know that people can have their feelings on this, but I'm pretty sure I'm right about this.
Can we throw the image up?
So this is what I'm saying, and I'm calling it right now.
Total Recall number one.
I think it is the best sci-fi movie ever.
And possibly, well, it's Philip K. Dick's greatest book, by the way.
It was a short story by Philip K. Dick.
I think it was called The Android's Dream of Electric Sheep.
And then Predator, I would say, is number two.
I'm going to put T2.
"Terminator 2" is number three.
The original "Terminator" I'm gonna put as number four.
And then there was a debate internally here.
I was gonna say Sixth Day, which a lot of people don't remember.
It was one of his later movies.
But then I decided at the last second, we're gonna allow Twins in because then he decided to go comedy.
And the premise of Twins, that there was this biological thing created that was a set of Twins and Arnold got all the good stuff and Danny DeVito got all the bad stuff.
Kind of funny, interesting premise.
We like it.
I'd like to know your feelings on all of that, but now let's dive into where it gets a little dicey because Arnold, unlike the ladies of The View, The key thing also is at the same time that we've got to do things legal.
arnold schwarzenegger
That is the important thing, you know?
So you've got to do things legal.
And those people that are doing illegal things in America and that are foreigners, they are not smart.
Because when you come to America, And you have to behave like a guest.
Like when I go to someone's house and I'm a guest, then I will do everything I can to keep things clean and to make my bed and to do everything that is the right thing to do rather than committing a crime or being abusive or something like that.
So that doesn't really work in this country.
So I think the important thing is when you become an immigrant, to think about, okay, I go to America because I want to use America.
For the great opportunities that America has in education, in jobs, creating a family, all of those kind of things.
Then you have to think about, okay, if I get all of those things from America, then I have to give something back.
You have a responsibility as an immigrant to give back to America and to pay back to America and to go and do something for your community for no money whatsoever.
Give something back to afterschool programs, Special Olympics, or whatever it is.
Make this country a better place.
dave rubin
Yeah, it's just so good.
And it's true, right?
Particularly if you were an illegal, maybe you shouldn't be burning things down and you should figure out a way to be part of your community and make some relationships and everything else.
That doesn't make it right that you came here illegally.
But he's really talking about what the American dream is and what the experience is.
And just for a moment, as I often talk about, think about your own family for a second, whether it was you or your parents, your grandparents, or whatever it was that came here.
My great-grandparents came here on both sides.
And my grandfather, who died when I was in first grade, But I remember him telling me about what it was like, my grandpa already telling me what it was like to grow up on the Lower East Side in a bedroom.
His father died very early on, and then he had to live in one bedroom, in a one-bedroom tenement house on the Lower East Side with six brothers and sisters.
And then he then, he became a lithographer.
He was basically lower middle class.
I brought up his family, my dad, in Brooklyn.
And then my dad then went to college and then was middle class.
I've done pretty well.
That is what the American dream is.
You create a community.
You give something back.
You work hard.
You love the country.
Not what so many of these people seem to be doing.
Again, carrying the flag of a country they seemingly wanted to flee while attacking the flag of the country that they want to be in.
Now you may have noticed the witch-like hand that kept reaching in that video because Sonny Hostin clearly was not happy with Arnold just laying out something that was positive, a positive vision for what Americans should aspire to.
And here she is furthering her encroachment on Arnold.
I'm pretty sure if it was a man doing that to a woman, they'd be screaming sexism and then basically cutting them off and lecturing him.
arnold schwarzenegger
keep things clean and to make my bed and to do everything that is the right thing to do rather than committing a crime or being abusive or something like that.
whoopi goldberg
Don't forget, there's 90% of the people who come here.
sunny hostin
They're less likely to commit crimes.
whoopi goldberg
And a lot of what's happening right now is people are getting snatched, who shouldn't be snatched out of the country, people who have visas, people who have all those things.
So we want all the right people.
We don't want people who are doing bad stuff.
sunny hostin
But they are less likely, immigrants are much less likely to commit crimes in this country than actually American-born citizens.
And the other thing I just wanted to say is that Governor Newsom did not ask.
Did he ask for the National Guard to come to the federal government to come to California?
There are 9,000 local law enforcement officers in California.
dave rubin
We should do a slow-mo version of that clip.
The way he's giving her side eye, like, lady, you're just lecturing me after I gave such a strong defense of what America really is and what legal immigration is and what your duties are and responsibilities are as an American.
And then nobody cares.
Nobody cares about who does more crime.
It's still a crime to come in here in the first place.
Also, no shit Gavin Newsom didn't ask for the National Guard because Gavin Newsom is the one that created the conditions, the sanctuary state and then sanctuary cities like Los Angeles.
That allowed for this.
So it's just dismissive horribleness.
And Sonny, as I say to all of the people in your position, wait till the rioters come to burn down your house.
I know they're just doing it right now in a little place in LA where there are buildings.
Not too many people live there.
I don't know where you live, but I suspect if it was outside of your house, you would be less than enthused.
I do have a quick correction to make.
you know I'm not above a correction.
I know that that wasn't.
That's Blade Runner, of course.
And Total Recall is another short story that I highly recommend.
I mean, these are super, super short.
You can get them in a little book where he has about 15. He passed away maybe 30 years ago, Philip K. Dick, our greatest sci-fi writer of all time, I would say.
But it was who, what was it?
It's called We Can Remember It For You Wholesale.
It was the brilliant, brilliant short story that Total Recall was actually based on.
I am not above a correction.
Let's shift from Sunny Hostin, one horribly racist evil woman, to someone who's even more horribly racist.
Oh, wait.
Just in case.
the Ilhan Omar puke bucket.
Here is Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, a first-generation immigrant from Somalia into America who has attained...
Here she is telling us that America is turning into one of the worst countries on earth.
ilhan omar
To be coming out of our country?
I mean, I grew up in a dictatorship.
And I don't even remember ever witnessing anything like that.
To have a democracy, a pecan of hope for the world to now be turned into one of the worst countries where the military are in our streets without any regard for people's constitutional rights, while our president is spending millions of dollars prompting himself up.
like a failed dictator with a military parade.
It is really shocking, and it should be a wake-up call for all Americans to say this is not...
This is not the country our founding fathers imagined.
And this is not the country that is supported by our Constitution, our ideals, our values.
And we should all collectively be out in the streets rejecting what is taking place this week.
dave rubin
You know, interestingly, I did not puke there.
I felt for a moment that a little something was going to come up, but I've been doing this intermittent fasting thing, and all I've had is water this morning, and nothing, actually nothing came up, so I'm going to put the bucket back down there.
We'll keep it close just in case.
One of the worst countries in the world where the military is in our streets.
Interesting lady, you're not concerned about the people that are creating the violence, looting the stores, burning things down, throwing boulders over overpasses, and all the rest of it.
You're just concerned about the people that are I've been informed that the next video we have might be AI.
I am just a simple, humble man who sits at a desk and introduces videos, so I don't know.
I don't know.
unidentified
- You have just arrested a Somali politician and she is being deported back to Somalia.
dave rubin
From AI's mouth to God's ears, we shall see.
Do we have any video of what life is like in Somalia?
I think we have a little video of, because she thinks that it's worse here than Somalia.
unidentified
I think we were able to...
dave rubin
We report, you decide.
If you want to see how this has nothing to do with being anti-immigrant, everyone knows that.
Everyone knows that.
Virtually all of us came here.
As I said, whether it's you who came yourself or it's your grandparents or whatever it might be, we all came here virtually.
Almost everybody as descendants of immigrants.
And you have to do it legally or you don't have a country.
It's as simple as that.
But here's just a great video.
This was just going around.
I saw this yesterday.
I was just making the rounds.
It's a Brazilian immigrant talking about why she loves this country and what it's kind of like an Arnold version of this, that there's things that you're kind of responsible for when you come to America.
@vivaresistance
I moved over here from Brazil and I'm pretty much Americanized by now, in case you can't tell.
It's been over 25 years.
I'm now a proud American citizen and I've worked hard to adopt this country as my own and become a valuable part of this community.
Let me introduce you to this word which means to adopt something as one's own and become a part of it which is what's supposed to be your job as an immigrant.
So that means that I can come over here and introduce you to some cool stuff like Guaraná and Farofa, but I'm not supposed to be coming over here and be an invasive species.
That's not the reason I came.
I came here to be one of you.
If I thought Brazil was so much better, I would have stayed there.
Someone explain to me why I am expected to respect and abide by everyone else's customs, literally everywhere else in the world, everywhere else I go except here.
Oh, but some people are fighting political persecution.
Okay, well, if your land and your country and your culture and all that so much better than we are, then you stay there and you figure it out and you fix it.
That sounds like a you problem.
Basically put, if you're not coming over here to assimilate like me, then you need to stay right where you are.
Period.
Full stop.
dave rubin
I think she mentioned some Brazilian foods, but she didn't mention the Brazilian wax.
Which, isn't that their number one export?
But putting that aside for a second, yes, the word she was talking about, for those of you listening on the audio podcast, was assimilate.
That is the whole idea of what we did here in America with the melting pot, that you come.
This is what we all learned in fourth grade.
If you come to America, and you probably did this in your class.
I remember doing this.
Literally, I think I did this in fourth grade.
Mrs. Golden was our teacher, and they had a big pot.
She drew like a big pot in cardboard cutout paper.
And then we all took, Yes, we have some different foods.
We listen to some different music.
Our grandparents came from different places, but the pot is America.
You assimilate into that, and it's a melting pot, so you get this delicious stew.
As opposed to what they've done in Europe, which is where we get these very separate oil and water things that you basically have water in Europe and they bring in oil and they don't mix and then they kind of just separate.
And it's not good when it gets real hot and splashes all over you.
So yes, get on board what that lady is saying.
And I love the fact that she comes from Brazil.
It sounds like she has maybe a Texas accent or something.
Like, it's just great.
That's what America's about.
Nobody cares that she happens to be a little browner than the average white person or anything else.
She seems to love the country.
Not seems.
She loves the country.
She wants it to be great.
And she doesn't want people here who are here to destroy it like pretty much the entire Democratic Party.
Do we have Winston?
Are we going to grab Winston?
Yeah, we've got Winston Marshall in Tel Aviv.

All right, so now we're going to dive into what's happening in the Middle East that is seemingly affecting every portion and every corner of the world and really taking over our media space here in the United States.
But first, I want to bring in my friend Winston Marshall from the Winston Marshall Podcast, who everyone knows, former band member of Mumford& Sons, who was once canceled, but he's back stronger than ever.
And I believe in Tel Aviv right now.
Is that where you are, my friend?
winston marshall
That's where I am.
Jaffa, just south of the south side of Tel Aviv.
And we are going into our sixth night tonight of a bombardment from Iran.
I would say that each night there's been considerably fewer ballistic missiles coming across.
Not that drones make it this far.
They got shot down.
but some of the ballistic missiles have made it through the Israeli defense system.
I actually yesterday visited And eight people were killed.
And when I was there yesterday, I was still searching for a missing person, suspected, thought to be dead.
I actually saw the Batyam missile.
Oh no, have I come out?
dave rubin
We've still got your audio.
We'll just throw up a still image if we lose the video connection.
You're good.
winston marshall
So I actually saw the Batyam missile because we wanted to see this.
Now, we're advised to go down to the shelters when there's a siren.
There's sirens regularly, three or four a night.
But we stood up to watch the ballistic missiles as they come in.
And they start as these tiny...
Actually, not really coming from the east, more coming from above.
Because, of course, they're going up and coming down.
And then as they come, they get faster and faster.
And then you see the defense system going up to intercept some.
By the time any ballistic missiles come through, they're actually traveling at a speed of Mach 7. It's unbelievably fast.
And I saw the missile that hit in Bat Yam.
I mean, I think I'm changed forever, having experienced that.
But I also think that there was a big mood change after Batyam, because so many people were killed, and the sense that the missile system was penetrable has affected the mood here.
Having said that, I also spoke yesterday to a man in Rishan Lezayan.
His house was completely destroyed.
Thankfully, him and his six daughters survived in the building, but two of his neighbors were killed.
And he took me through his house.
Everything's been destroyed.
And I asked him at the end, you know, you've lost everything.
Even his taxi, because he's a taxi driver, he can't work because it's been smashed apart.
I said, you've lost everything.
Do you still support the government, your government, in this endeavor?
Given the sacrifice you've now made?
And he goes, look, absolutely.
Because if this doesn't happen now, then all of Israel will look like my house in two years' time.
So now, obviously, this guy supports Netanyahu and the Iranian operation, rising line operation.
It's obviously not the case.
not everyone in Israel feels this way.
But And the real mood here, similar to after October 7th, I was here only a couple of months after October 7th, and everyone, whatever their feeling is about the government, understands that they are in an existential situation.
They understand that they need to play their part.
So everyone gets into their position, so to speak, and contributes.
So the atmosphere in Israel has really been remarkable.
I wish never that such a thing would happen to Britain, but I do wish that my country would come together in the same way that Israel has come together on these separate occasions.
dave rubin
Well, hopefully your country won't have to deal with incoming rockets, although, as we've discussed on both of our podcasts before, you guys have a whole other set of problems.
Real quick, and then I want to get into a whole bunch of clips with you and talk about some of the media component of this, because you've been talking for even longer than I have, because I was, as I've mentioned on the show this week, I largely tried to sit out a little bit of what I saw as the fight on the right, except when I did your podcast a few months ago.
But you've been talking about this for quite some time, so I want to dive into some of that.
But just on a personal note, I know you're there with my good friend who's been on the show.
I've been on the show a million times, Melissa Chen.
You guys were not intending to be in the middle of a war zone.
Personally, what has this been like for you?
I assume you're at an Airbnb or a hotel or something.
You're basically stuck for now.
Just personally, I hear what you say about some of the Israelis, but there's obviously a lot of foreigners that are there right now in the middle of this as well.
winston marshall
As we're speaking now on the foreigners, I just get messaged through that for the first time the airports are going to be open to foreigners to leave, although we've seen a lot of them crossing into Jordan to get out.
On a personal level, as I said, I don't think I'll ever be the same.
Those first few nights with the sirens going off, everyone going to shelters and hearing the backs.
I mean, it's as close.
I was brought up in London and...
And on the street I live in, in London, there's still a bomb ship.
My neighbor's got a bomb shelter in his back garden.
And I know the exact houses that were bombed.
And I know stories of families, entire families that lost their lives because their houses were struck.
The church opposite my house was the first to be hit in the Blitz.
So I've got that sense, but it's completely different when you're actually living in it.
When you're actually, you don't sleep.
No one in Israel has slept.
For the last seven days, everyone is ready for the alarms to go off and for you to go and find one of the bomb shelters.
So everyone is kind of in this daze and uneasy daze and there's a sense of trepidation.
Having said that, it does seem very optimistic.
As I say, there's fewer and fewer of themselves each day.
Keep an eye on the number of rocket launchers that are being destroyed in Iran by the Israeli Air Force.
It was two days ago, an IDF spokesperson said that one-third have been destroyed.
It's now, someone has just reported to me that it's up to 40%.
There may be many thousands of missiles.
It's not exactly clear.
One report said 800, another said 2,000, and others have said way more than that even.
That's not clear.
But if they can destroy the rocket launchers, that's how they defang Iran in this local conflict.
Now, I know the conversation in America is a different one.
It's one about America first.
one about how much America should be involved in this.
dave rubin
But as I say, here in Israel, the Right, and the quicker that the rockets stop incoming, the quicker that whatever the endgame of this thing is will appear.
All right, so let's talk about the conversation in America and something that you have been focusing on for quite some time on your podcast, a little bit of what's been going on on the right.
And a lot of it does seem to be circling around Tucker Carlson right now, who for the last year, a lot of people think, Tucker yesterday had Ted Cruz on and I want to show you, it's about a minute plus clip of a promo that Tucker put out himself and then we'll dissect.
tucker carlson
How many people living around, by the way?
ted cruz
I don't know the population.
tucker carlson
At all?
ted cruz
No, I don't know the population.
tucker carlson
You don't know the population of the country you seek to topple?
ted cruz
How many people live in Iran?
tucker carlson
92 million.
dave rubin
Okay.
tucker carlson
How could you not know that?
ted cruz
I don't sit around memorizing population tables.
tucker carlson
Well, it's kind of relevant because you're calling for the overthrow of the government.
ted cruz
Why is it relevant whether it's 90 million or 80 million or 100 million?
Why is that relevant?
tucker carlson
Because if you don't know anything about the country...
Okay, what's the ethnic mix of Iran?
ted cruz
They are Persians and predominantly Shia.
tucker carlson
You don't know anything about Iran.
ted cruz
I am not the Tucker Carlson expert on Iran.
tucker carlson
You're a senator who's calling for the overthrow of the government.
unidentified
You don't know anything about the country.
ted cruz
You're the one who claims they're not trying to murder Donald Trump.
tucker carlson
No, I'm not saying that.
ted cruz
You're the one who can't figure out if it was a good idea to kill General Soleimani and you said it was bad.
tucker carlson
You don't believe they're trying to murder Trump.
ted cruz
Yes, I do.
tucker carlson
Because you're not calling for military strikes against them in retaliation.
ted cruz
We're carrying out military strikes today.
tucker carlson
You said Israel was.
ted cruz
Right.
With our help.
I said we.
Israel is leading them, but we're supporting them.
tucker carlson
Well, you're breaking news here because the U.S. government last night denied, the National Security Council spokesman Alex Pfeiffer denied on behalf of Trump that we were acting on...
ted cruz
We're not bombing them.
Israel's bombing them.
tucker carlson
You just said we were.
ted cruz
We are supporting Israel.
unidentified
It's high stakes.
tucker carlson
You're a senator.
If you're saying the United States government is at war with Iran right now, people are listening.
dave rubin
All right, I want to be as fair as I can possibly be here.
So I will say that Ted Cruz, who I like a lot, was not in the perfect way prepared for that because it was fairly obvious that Tucker was going to do the gotchas, how many people live there.
And there's no way Tucker knew.
he Googled it right before someone handed him a piece of paper or whatever.
Ted Cruz should have been a little more The we line, he obviously butchered that a little bit.
But everyone can see the game that Tucker is playing here because Tucker has put on all sorts of people in the year plus since he left Fox and never pushes back on anyone who says the craziest things.
What do you make of what is going on with Tucker and from what you can see while being there relative to the American media landscape?
winston marshall
Well, I think there's a few things happening simultaneously.
There's a worldview about the Middle East that's one aspect of it.
And then there's a big reaction against the neocon wars of the noughties, specifically Iraq and Afghanistan, and the trillions spent on failed wars.
So there's a few things happening at once.
I think a lot of people are waking up on the sort of, They're very unhappy about the neocon wars.
And so, funnily enough, I spoke to Steve Bannon on my show about this as well, who also thinks Tucker's got this wrong on the axis of evil in the Middle East.
And I think this is worth picking up because this is where I think I disagree with Tucker.
Now, he's reported to have relations with the Qataris, Which is important in trying to unpack this.
Iran is, to use a sci-fi, seeing as you're talking sci-fi on your show, Iran is the mothership, right?
And then from there, you have this axis of evil, which is the Houthis, Hamas, Hezbollah.
You have...
who else have you got?
You've got, I guess it's those Yeah.
And then the Qataris, They have been anti-Israel.
They've purported to be neutral, but actually, if you look at what they've said, they're not remotely neutral, and they facilitated a lot of Hamas activity.
It seems to me that Qatar are a part of that axis, but they play a slightly looser footing, and they might change and turn towards the...
So here's the thing about the America First situation.
Some people think America First means isolationism.
Don't get involved with anything that's going on abroad.
But another thing, and I think this is the interpretation of America First, which is what is the priority of America?
Now, in that lens, if you look at what Trump has been saying for 20 years, he has said Iran cannot have a nuclear bomb.
They cannot have a nuclear weapon.
He's been unbelievably consistent with this.
And that seems to be completely consistent, in my opinion, with America First.
Why?
Because Iran have said, since 1979 and the revolution, death to America.
Consistently, death to America.
So, it is clearly, and not only that, they have tried to kill Trump himself.
They have attempted to kill other American citizens.
For example, Masi Alinejad.
They tried to kill her in Brooklyn, where she lives.
There have been others, including I just spoke to the former ambassador, Michael Oran, who they tried to kill in D.C. They are.
And by the way, keep an eye on this, because one possible move the Iranians have up their sleeve is to have their.
dave rubin
Yeah, wait.
So let me pause you there for a sec, because you're making a couple of points, but we have a lot to get to here.
So yes, also, they funded Hamas, which killed 46 Americans on October 7th.
So it's not as if they haven't killed Americans just in the last two years.
But yes, there is some issue around sleeper cells, but this idea that Tucker and Alex Jones are pushing of thermonuclear war, well, first of all, if they don't have a nuke, And if they're not going to get one now, then there isn't going to be.
I thought this tweet was quite good.
This is from Brent Shear, who's the editor-in-chief at The Daily Wire.
He took a screenshot of that Tucker, Ted Cruz clip that we just showed you.
He wrote, now Tucker is doing what Douglas Murray did to Dave Smith.
If you're not an expert, you're not allowed to have any opinion, except Ted Cruz is an expert.
He just didn't know trivia.
Right.
Ted Cruz is actually an expert on foreign affairs.
I don't think anyone doubts that really.
He got him on the number and that's, But now I want to dive into this tweet from J.D. Vance, because I thought this was quite good.
And again, I'm completely on board where Trump is, because as you just pointed out, he's been consistent on this for 20 years.
And so is J.D. Listen to this.
Look, I'm seeing this from the inside, and I'm admittedly biased towards our president and my friend, but there's a lot of crazy stuff on social media, so I wanted to address some things directly on the Iran issue.
First, POTUS has been amazingly consistent over 10 years that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon.
Over the last few months, he encouraged his foreign policy team to reach a deal with the Iranians to accomplish this goal.
The president has made clear that Iran cannot have uranium enrichment.
As he repeatedly said, this would happen one of two ways, the easy way or the other way.
Second, I've seen a lot of confusion over the issue of civilian nuclear power and uranium enrichment.
These are distinct issues.
Iran could have civilian nuclear power without enrichment, but Iran rejected that.
Meanwhile, they've enriched uranium far above the level necessary for any civilian purpose.
They've been found in violation of their nonproliferation obligations by the IAEA, which is hardly a right-wing organization.
It's one thing to want civilian nuclear energy.
It's another thing to demand sophisticated enrichment capacity.
I have yet to see a single good argument for why Iran needed to enrich uranium well above the threshold for civilian use.
I've yet to see a single good argument for why Iran was justified in violating its nonproliferation obligations.
I've yet to see a single good pushback against the IAEA's findings.
Meanwhile, the president has shown remarkable restraint in keeping our military's focus on protecting our troops and protecting our citizens.
He may decide he needs to take further action to end Iranian enrichment.
That decision ultimately belongs to the president, and of course people are right to be worried about foreign entanglement after the last 25 years of idiotic foreign policy.
But I believe the president has earned some trust on this issue, and having seen this up close and personal, I can assure you that he is only interested in using the American military to accomplish the American people's goals.
Whatever he does, that is his focus.
Listen, I gotta tell you, I mean, I don't know that that could have possibly been written any better at any level.
He addressed everyone's concerns there.
All of the people who you rightly point out, they're tired of the endless wars and the regime taking out regimes and nation building and all of those things, but also showing that Trump has been consistent and that Iran was not consistent And to me, the key part of all of this was they had 60 days.
This happened on day 61. So that's where Tucker's trying to get Ted Cruz.
And Ted Cruz said, we, look, we'll find out what does the we mean?
Obviously, there had to have been some level of coordination between Bibi and Trump.
Like, yeah, if it doesn't happen in 60 days, you go on 61. But that doesn't mean we're doing the bombing.
So there's just a lot of stuff that we're gonna start unpacking as time goes on.
unidentified
Yes.
winston marshall
Well, on the question of we, it is absolutely the case that the Israelis told the Americans beforehand.
I know because on Wednesday, whilst we were here, a friend of mine messaged saying, why are the Americans evacuating the Baghdad embassy?
So that was clear.
Not only that, if you follow, if you track what, But it's also been the case that it's been told that the Americans are helping in downing missiles.
Now, this isn't particularly controversial, by the way.
Last year, when Iran sent 700 missiles in both April and in November into Israel, the Allied West was helping Israel in Intercepting those missiles.
That's not crazy.
So there is a we in that the Americans and, unfortunately not in this time, the British have been helping Israel in that sense.
The question is, will America get involved more explicitly on the military side?
And that question is followed by another question is, can Israel actually finish this war without America?
And so this is worth keeping an eye on.
dave rubin
Well, and by the way, I don't think you or I or anyone watching this really knows the answer to that question.
Maybe Israel doesn't even know the answer to that question, but they will have to decide what to do, right?
Like, that's the thing.
But they basically have completely incapacitated the Iranian army.
There isn't going to be a nuke program.
I know they still have to deal with Fordo, but there isn't going to be a program.
and their military has basically been taken out.
So the screams of World War III This is Trump 10 years and two days ago, the day he came down that golden staircase.
What was one of the things he was saying that very day?
donald j trump
I will stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons and we won't be using a man.
Like Secretary Kerry that has absolutely no concept of negotiation, who's making a horrible and laughable deal, who's just being tapped along as they make weapons right now.
dave rubin
Yeah, I mean, is that the weird thing?
We're not used to politicians actually doing what they say, so that's why so many people are gobsmacked right now?
winston marshall
He's been incredibly consistent.
I'll add some context for that speech.
That's 2015, am I right?
dave rubin
Yeah.
winston marshall
So that's the same year.
That Obama and his administration signed the JCPOA deal.
Now, when they signed that deal, and this is in the public domain, American intelligence knew that Iran were enriching their uranium.
It's also the case that after that it was known to intelligence that they were enriching their uranium.
That's why Trump came out of the deal, the JCPOA, in 2018.
I would also note that JCPOA deal still, Iran is still part of it, along with the EU and other places.
And when Wyckoff went to Oman to start the negotiations that we know as the 60-day negotiations, the 60-day plus one, America also knew, and I learned this today from former Ambassador Michael Oren, that Iran were continuing their enrichment.
And we know from the IAEA, You cannot trust the Iranians.
They are an Islamist regime.
They are going to lie.
You can sign whatever non-proliferation treaty you want with these people.
They're going to lie about it.
Trump always understood this.
He always saw that.
And that's why he's been absolutely right.
He's right in recognizing who the axis of evil is in the Middle East.
And for that, I'm pretty impressed by him, to be honest.
dave rubin
Well, to that point, I want to show you this bit by Michael Knowles, who had a little bit of fun with this.
And I'm going to ask you the question first, so you can think about it while we're watching the clip.
My question right now is why, if Donald Trump has been consistent on this, which is what you're saying, what I'm saying, what most people are watching these videos saying, what JD is saying, my question to you after the clip is why did Tucker ever support him?
But take a look at this.
michael j knowles
Trump, they pointed out, was elected.
On getting us out of wars in the Middle East.
donald j trump
You cannot let Iran have a nuclear weapon.
michael j knowles
When did Trump suggest that Iran was even on his mind?
donald j trump
Everybody, no nuclear weapons.
You can't give nuclear weapons.
michael j knowles
It'd be one thing if Trump had campaigned on stopping Iran's nuclear program.
unidentified
Don't let Iran have nuclear weapons.
donald j trump
That's my only thing I have to tell you today.
michael j knowles
But for Trump to just voice this policy on us, completely out of the blue.
donald j trump
Including Iran, they can't have a nuclear weapon.
unidentified
That's all.
donald j trump
They can't have nuclear weapons.
unidentified
It's too destructive, too powerful.
donald j trump
They can't have it.
michael j knowles
Without any warning.
donald j trump
I just don't want them to have a nuclear weapon.
michael j knowles
Well, it's a betrayal.
Wouldn't you say?
What else do you call it when you say one thing on the campaign trail?
donald j trump
They cannot have a nuclear weapon.
That was the only thing.
The one thing I said you cannot have.
unidentified
And another thing when you get into office.
You can't let Iran have nuclear weapons.
michael j knowles
I don't want the U.S. to get bogged down in another war in the Middle East.
I think many of the arguments regarding Iran are bogus, as I've said repeatedly on the show.
But it also seems strange.
dave rubin
When, I mean, consistent.
We just don't know what to do with someone who actually says things for years and then abides by them.
It's just not how we do politics in this country.
But why do you think Tucker ever supported Donald Trump?
It seems kind of curious to me that the thing that Trump has repeatedly said was kind of his number one thing is the thing that Tucker hates him the most for.
winston marshall
Well, I think when it comes to politicians, we all hear what we want to hear and maybe ignore the things we don't want to hear.
Perhaps that's why.
And I can't otherwise read Tucker Carlson's mind on this one, I'm afraid.
But, yeah, I don't know.
It's the American...
dave rubin
I don't know.
Maybe you need to go to Sabbat and learn a little bit of Kabbalah and then you could start reading his mind.
All right, we'll leave it there.
Let me just show you this next one though, because I think what's also connected to all of this is not only that Trump has been remarkably consistent on this.
But you and I have talked about this before, that there's another component of this to what's happening online, where it seems like so much of it is bot-fed and troll-fed, and we know about the bot farms and the amount of people that are manipulating us from outside the country.
I thought this was really interesting.
There's a guy by the name of Ayel Yacobi.
He's a great follow-on X. I think he was a student at Columbia, actually, who then got into the fight because they literally wouldn't let him on campus, and he's become a really excellent voice right now.
But look at this.
I mean, this is wild.
There's an account on Twitter called Red Pill Media X, and it's become one of the really anti-Israel, anti-Jew accounts on all of X. And a while back, that account wrote, I am an American citizen, born and raised in America.
I refuse to die for Israel.
Now, nobody's asking Israel, nobody's asking anyone to die for Israel.
Nobody wants boots on the ground or anything like that.
But then it turned out, Eyal Yacobi did a little research, and it turns out that Red Pill Media X, I mean, you know how slow his camera's loading?
I mean, Jesus.
But that point, I mean, that's just one instance of a lot of this.
The way social media has manipulated us in really, really crazy ways, and before I let you chime in, I thought I'd read this.
This is from Lachlan Marquet, who's a partner at Argus Insight, which is an Intel monitoring company.
He retweeted that and he wrote, "Something extremely simple that Elon Musk could do to dramatically improve the health of this platform would be to automatically verify and display accounts or at least verified accounts, actual countries of origin." How serious do you think this
winston marshall
It's been astonishing to watch in real time, particularly just the total barrages of false information, even with Musk's community notes system that he's put in on X. The amount of likes, a tweet goes around the world five times before it gets a community note, and it's a huge manipulation of people's minds.
One person, when there were accusations that Israel had a sort of secret Mossad base under Tel Aviv, one guy had superimposed a sort of Star Wars or Star Trek spaceship under it, as if it was real.
It's so ludicrous.
One thinks that, are you trolling your own side on this one to prove a point of how ridiculous the false information is?
And to see this on a scale, actually, I found it quite concerning because there's so many lies.
And I'm not quite sure if Twitter is a better place now than it was a couple of years ago, but it's been pretty shocking.
Yeah.
unidentified
Right.
dave rubin
Right.
It's weird because it's absolutely a freer place.
And I know we're both on the side of freedom.
But in some sense, it's also become manipulated just in a very, very different way.
My friend, before I let you go, the best shawarma that I had in all of Israel just 10 days ago was in the old city of Jaffa.
You know that traffic circle that's right at the entrance over there?
There's a place.
It's either called shawarma place or shawarma stop or shawarma something.
Get yourself some shawarma today.
winston marshall
It was around the corner.
Thank you, Dave.
Good to speak to you.
dave rubin
Great to see you.
Stay safe.
Send Melissa my love.
Guys, let me throw to Gold Coal real quick, and then we'll have more on the other side.
Guys, did you know that Florida just legalized gold and silver as money?
Yeah.
That's right.
The free state of Florida, my home state, recognizes gold and silver now as legal tender.
Governor DeSantis put it best.
This is about giving you the financial freedom to protect yourself against the declining dollar.
With inflation, national debt soaring, and even U.S. credit downgrade, it's no wonder people are waking up.
That's why I've partnered with GoldCo, a top-tier precious metals company I trust.

All right, so let's continue with this Iran fiasco or thing that's going to kind of wrap up soon.
We'll see.
This is from Donald Trump on Truth.
We know exactly where the so-called supreme leader is hiding.
He is an easy target but is safe there.
We are not going to take him.
We are not going to take him out, kill, exclamation point, at least not for now, but we don't want missiles shot at civilians or American soldiers.
Our patience is wearing thin.
Thank you for your attention in this matter.
So it does sound like, from everything that I'm hearing, it sounds like they know exactly what bunker Khomeini is in with a couple other people.
They're basically trying to decide, like, do you take out the supreme leader and what are the ramifications of that, or do you let him go into exile likely?
I don't know, you sent him to Oman, you sent him to Russia, somewhere.
Again, I'm not an expert, so I don't know exactly what you do in that case.
But I do think it's interesting what Trump said.
We know where you are.
Stop shooting at civilians.
Now, nothing got through yesterday, but they were still shooting.
We'll see how Trump is willing to defend his words right there.
I want to show you a video of Mike Emanuel talking about potential U.S. intervention and what they might do with the Ayatollah.
mike emanuel
Trump's national security team in the Situation Room wrapped at 3:46 p.m.
Eastern Time.
So after a couple of hours of meeting, we were told earlier today that the possibility of U.S. intervention, the possibility of airstrikes,
saying, I'm not going to take him out just yet, but basically left the possibility open that the United States could take out the leader of Iran and potentially pursue regime change.
dave rubin
All right.
So what's interesting here is if you want all this to end right now, let's say nobody really wants this to continue.
What does an ending look like?
An ending looks like a surrender by Iran.
Like, they're done.
Their military is over.
The nuclear program, it's basically completely done.
There's one last site that it sounds like Israel might be requesting some help from America to bomb in and out, and that's it.
But in essence, it's over, right?
The army did not attack.
The other Arab nations have not all jumped in on Israel.
Like, this thing is over.
20 years from now, this will be looked at as an unbelievably massive military success that was done cleanly without killing civilians, even though Iran was trying to kill as many civilians on the other side.
So the question for Khomeini is, if he still is in control, either just surrender right now or go into exile, right?
Or you're going to die.
I think Trump has proven, I think we've illustrated it in this show, that Trump is a man of his word.
So he's saying, stop shooting at civilians.
The game is up.
We know where you are.
If he chooses not to, then it is on him.
Again, we are not used to politicians saying what they mean and then going through with their promises.
Now, interestingly, as things seemingly have calmed down a little bit because less rockets are getting through, Israel has complete control of the skies, so there's less as...
We don't know how many rockets they actually have, but there are less rocket launchers because they're being blown up.
They're trying to move them around.
So they're playing like kind of whack-a-mole with that.
However, the Jerusalem embassy, where I was just about 10 days ago with Mike Huckabee, if you haven't seen the interview, it's up right now.
Apparently that is now going to be closed for the next two or three days.
brian kilmeade
Retaliatory strikes on U.S. bases in the Middle East if the United States joins Israel's war against Iran.
We're also learning the U.S. is closing its embassy in Jerusalem starting tomorrow.
dave rubin
All right.
So first off, I want to send my best and thoughts and prayers to Mike Huckabee and everyone at the embassy who are so wonderful to us.
And just FYI, I mean, Jerusalem, like all of Israel, is a very small place.
they have been shooting rockets at Jerusalem, but you could try to blow up the American embassy and just your rockets off by a tiny bit and you blow up the Dome of the Rock.
I don't know if they really care about that at all, Interestingly, exiled Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pazlazi has now started to make videos encouraging the Iranians to rise up.
Take a look.
unidentified
My fellow countrymen, the Islamic Republic has reached its end and is collapsing.
Harmony, like a frightened mouse, has gone into hiding and lost control of situations.
What has started is irreversible.
The future is bright, and we will get through this historic turning point.
In these difficult days, my heart is with all the defenseless citizens who have been harmed and have fallen victim to Khamenei's warmongering and delusions.
By standing with the people, protect your lives.
Play a historic role in the transition from the Islamic Republic and take part in building Iran's future.
A free and prosperous Iran lies ahead of us.
May I soon be by your side.
Long live Iran.
Long live the people of Iran.
dave rubin
Okay, I should note that that was an AI translation.
He was speaking Farsi, which is the native language of most Iranians.
Iran is about 60%, we just checked, 61% Persian.
So they're under the Islamic Republic, the Mullahs, but they're 61% Persian.
So he spoke that in Farsi.
But the point is, when we talk about regime change, nobody wants American soldiers there or anything else.
No one's asking for that.
This is an incredible opportunity.
As the regime goes down, the bad guys who've oppressed their own people, and as Bill Maher says, It puts the women in beekeeper costumes and everything else.
This was a place that was very modernized and liberal in the 70s.
We've shown you those videos before.
You can see them on YouTube.
It could return to that.
And that is actually what most of the other nations in the area want.
Lebanon does not want Hezbollah, which is an Iranian proxy, running their country, which it largely has been doing.
Like, it's time to end this nonsense.
Speaking of nonsense, we're going to talk about the Democrats in a second.
But first, Built for America.
Hey guys, quick but important update.
Right now, politicians in D.C. are trying to kill the energy tax credits that are bringing manufacturing back from China and putting Americans to work.
These credits are powering American energy independence, rebuilding our supply chains, and creating real jobs in real communities.
If they're repealed, we risk losing millions of jobs, gutting a trillion dollars from our economy, and handing China a major win.
President Trump, don't let Congress pull the plug on America's comeback.
Keep the energy tax credits that are putting America first.
All right, so let's put all that aside for a moment and just jump back to America for the remainder of the show.
The Democrats are completely insane, and it's a damn shame.
I wish that they weren't.
I really do.
It would be nice if they wouldn't be.
We could have some healthy tension between the two parties.
We could go back to just like the simple fights we used to have.
But they're completely out of control.
They never knew when to say stop.
They want to progress as they're going off the cliff.
And you may remember this from a few days ago.
This is California Senator Alex Padilla being removed as he basically went to try to approach Kirstie Noem, who was on stage during a briefing.
He had no marker or pin or anything that said who he was or anything else.
And if anyone approaches this stage, especially in these heightened times, Secret Service is supposed to get rid of these guys.
That's exactly what they did.
We'll show you that and then I'll explain why we're showing it to you again.
unidentified
I'm Senator Alex Padilla.
I have questions for the secretary because the fact of the matter is a half a dozen violent criminals that you're rotating on your...
I also want to talk specifically how many of our ICE agents have been doxxed for doing their leave.
Thank you.
dave rubin
All right, so look, as I said last week, you can't just bum-rush the stage.
A senator is not anyone special other than he has a plaque on his desk that says senator, right?
If you were at a hearing, literally, you, me, or anyone else, like Kirstie Nome, I've interviewed her, she knows who I am.
If I just started bum-rushing a stage while she was speaking, you'd think they'd be like, oh, it's Dave Rubin, let him through.
No, of course not.
Of course that is what they are going to do.
It is their job.
Anyway, Padilla went on the floor at the Capitol, and he's a Democrat, so what did he do?
He cried.
alex padilla
You've seen the video.
I was pushed and pulled, struggled to maintain my balance.
unidentified
I was pushed and pulled, struggled to maintain my balance.
I was forced to the ground.
alex padilla
First on my knees and then flat on my chest.
And as I was handcuffed and marched down a hallway.
dave rubin
Who falls for this overly emotional, that's like the Cory Booker thing.
unidentified
I'm gonna speak very slowly as if I'm about to cry like I can do it too.
dave rubin
The thing, I was pushed and I was pulled.
It's like, how about be a fucking man?
Dude, you can't just bum rush a public official.
It's as simple as that.
You can't do it.
I can't do it.
Now you're going to cry about it.
You're going to cry about it.
Well, guess what?
This is just going to keep happening because the Democrats have decided, and they decided this a long time ago, by the way, that there are no rules that are applicable to them.
You have rules for you, but for them, they can cause chaos.
They can burn things down.
They can loot.
They can get in and out of jail.
There's just nothing that applies to them.
And in New York, there were several people that were bum-rushing an ICE building, including New York City mayoral candidate Brad Lander, who then was arrested.
Take a look.
unidentified
Speaker 1: Are you an officer with the DI International?
Speaker 2: I am an officer with ICE.
winston marshall
Speaker 1: You're an officer with ICE?
unidentified
Speaker 2: With ICE.
alex padilla
Speaker 2: You have a badge of life.
jim acosta
I don't have to show that to you.
unidentified
I'm telling you to leave.
I've already identified myself.
alex padilla
You're not allowed to be here.
jim acosta
Police are coming.
unidentified
Okay?
alex padilla
What if we're doing this on purpose, sir?
jim acosta
Wait, wait.
unidentified
Guys, back up, back up, guys.
Back up, back up.
I understand.
If you're interfering with this arrest, we're going to be in the arrest.
dave rubin
Please stay back.
winston marshall
Take it back.
dave rubin
Take it back.
unidentified
Please, step back.
Step back, guys.
Step back.
Step back.
You don't have the authority to arrest U.S. citizens.
dave rubin
Okay, first off, they do have the authority.
You're not allowed to just wander into an ice building.
And then link arms with people and take over.
doesn't matter who you are.
Also notice they desperately Is the implication that the guy working behind the desk at the ICE, the receptionist over at ICE, that he doesn't really work for ICE, but the reason they want ICE Nobody loves the optics of soldiers or ICE agents or police officers arresting people.
You don't love the optics of that, right?
And you want to the best...
But you can't storm into a building and just take over.
But it's so interesting.
They desperately want the masks off their face.
And they desperately want their ID number.
And they desperately want their name.
Because they want to shame all of these people out of a job and make sure that they feel a threat.
They want their families to know you are under threat.
Your husband works at ICE.
Your kids are going to be threatened.
You're going to get some bad mail over at your house or some weirdo is going to show up.
Or a series of other things.
Here's a quick picture of Brad Lander struggling.
I don't know.
This one just seems funny.
It just seems kind of funny to me.
There's something just funny about that.
Okay.
And here's Brad Lander after release.
Before I show you this video, you know this thing I'm always talking about, about these limp-wristed, these people.
They have no testosterone.
They have no eating.
Cory Booker's always crying.
Padilla's crying.
They all started to sound like this.
The other guy who looks like the penguin.
What the hell's his name from New York?
The other one.
Who looks like the penguin?
Well, Chuck Schumer looks like a turtle.
No, Eric Adams.
the one who looks like a penguin, the Nadler who looks like a...
Stop drinking out of plastic bottles or something.
Here's Brad Lanyard.
unidentified
And so I just engaged in that tradition of accompaniment, of trying to bear witness, of trying to walk peacefully with someone, of trying to make sure that the rules are followed.
*makes noise*
dave rubin
Anyway, so that schmuck is running for New York City mayor, and he's just a progressive lunatic.
But for real progressive lunacy, there's this other guy running for New York City mayor, and they're having the primary in a couple of days.
And he's a Hamas supporter.
He is a full-on communist, wants to take control of rent prices for owners of buildings and everything else.
I mean, this guy's an absolute lunatic.
His name is Zoran Mamdani.
And here he is trying to accost Tom Homan.
unidentified
How many more New Yorkers have been charged?
Do you believe in the press amendment?
Do you believe in the press amendment, Tom Homan?
How many more New Yorkers have been charged with targets?
dave rubin
I'll give the guy credit.
I don't think he has a testosterone problem.
Most of these people do, but I don't think he does.
It's just, these people are just all pathetic.
It's theatrics.
It's ridiculous.
Tom Homan believes in the First Amendment.
He also believes in all of the other laws as it pertains to the United States, like, I don't know, having a border, and that if you're illegal, the word legal's in there, and ill implies not, and you've got to go home.
New York City?
Pray for New York City.
If you ever want to go back to New York City, and especially if you're a Jew, but forgetting that, if you're a freedom-loving person, if that fucking psychopath becomes mayor, we are in a lot of trouble.
How do I segue to Jim Acosta right now?
Well, Jim Acosta, you know Jim Acosta.
He was on CNN for a while.
He was like Stelter.
It was always like, who are the biggest three jokes over at CNN that you don't really have to say anything?
You just say their name and people start booing.
That's what would happen to me if I was giving a speech.
I would just say Jim Acosta.
I didn't have to say anything.
People boo.
Brian Stelter, people boo.
Chris Cuomo, people boo.
Well, Acosta's got a podcast because everyone's got a podcast.
Do you guys have podcasts?
Everyone has podcasts except for you three.
It's weird.
Anyway, here's Jim Acosta explaining that it's the far right in the middle of the country who have been bamboozled by Trump and they're the bad people.
jim acosta
The far right in this country has kind of figured out a way to infiltrate, you know, the heartland and to, you know, basically pull, you know, mom and pop from the farm to their point of view.
And as it turns out, a lot of those folks vote in these elections.
And a lot of those folks have been completely led astray.
I hate to say it, but they've just been completely led astray.
And we've all just let this happen on our watch with essentially a business model for delivering the news in this country that just does not work anymore.
dave rubin
Yes, it's your business model, Clown.
The business model of lying to the people about everything turned out not to be a great business model.
And then it led to me just trying to do the best I can over here and it being a much better business model.
But good luck with your podcast, Jim Acosta.
I can't believe none of you, Joey, Joseph, nobody, nothing, no podcast for you guys.
Also the implication, It's his fault that mom and pop on the farm, they're such dullards, they're such nonsensical That it's their fault that they became this way.
Maybe it's possible that mom and pop have a different set of values than you do.
Maybe they believe in law and order.
Maybe they believe in borders.
Maybe they believe that boys are boys and girls are girls.
Maybe they just don't like people like you.
Is that possible?
Maybe it's possible that they don't like people like AOC.
And I don't like people like AOC either.
I don't own a farm.
I'd love to own a farm.
I go on farm websites every now and again to see if I could maybe snag a farm somewhere.
But AOC, here she is, and she's very concerned that the media is out of control.
They've lost control of the culture war because they lost control of the media, right?
Because people are tuning out of mainstream media.
They're finding all media.
So she's talking to some people about how they can get control back.
alexandria ocasio-cortez
I do think that several members of Congress in some of my discussions have brought up media literacy because that is a part of what happened here.
And we're going to have to figure out how we reign in our media environment so that you can't just spew disinformation and misinformation.
It's one thing to have differing opinions, but it's another thing entirely to just say things that are false.
And so that's something that we're looking into.
dave rubin
Come for me, you evil bitch, because you will not stop me, I promise you.
I will spend every breathing hour on this planet fighting you on that.
The fact that she has the gall at this point, after all of their lies, right?
And you know them.
It's like hitting myself in the head with a hammer every time.
Russia, Russia, Russia.
Very fine people on both sides.
The Covington kids are racist.
Brett Kavanaugh's a serial rapist.
Jesse Smollett was lynched.
We can do this on COVID?
Were there some lies around COVID?
Should we?
as we keep going, the fact that you think Yeah, you're allowed to spread misinformation, which is why Rachel Maddow's not in jail.
We have the First Amendment.
She's allowed to spread that nonsense and make $20 million for it.
You buffoons!
And if that woman ever gets any more power than she has, it will be a very, very dark day in America.
But she's also not only been wrong and they ramp up the fear about everything, but look at this.
This is a little bit of a throwback.
There was a little documentary they did about AOC, There was a guy who had a Lego set of the Capitol, and he was really crazy.
And then there was a guy who had a furry hat, and he really did something nuts.
And then some woman farted in Nancy Pelosi's chair.
It was a heck of a day, everybody.
But here's AOC telling Nicole Wallace that she thought it was going to be even worse than murder on that very dark day.
alexandria ocasio-cortez
I didn't think that I was just going to be killed.
I thought other things were going to happen to me as well.
unidentified
So it sounds like what you're telling me right now is that you didn't only think that you were going to die, you thought you were going to be raped.
alexandria ocasio-cortez
Yeah.
unidentified
Yeah.
alexandria ocasio-cortez
I thought I was.
unidentified
And that you now understand, having thought about it, is because of your experience?
alexandria ocasio-cortez
Yeah.
Yeah, I think so.
dave rubin
Sorry, that was Dana Bash, not Nicole Wallace, obviously.
But look, I don't want anyone to be raped, but there was no reason to think there were a whole bunch of rapists there.
Like, we're going to rape for freedom.
We'll rape to get Donald Trump back.
It's just, again, it's the same notion, it's the same sort of mental condition that leads to Padilla thinking that if he just cries at the Capitol, that it will get him points.
Everything they want is pity.
It is virtue signaling and pity guised as virtue.
And I would much rather be actually virtuous than fake virtuous.
And on that note, how about, as it pertains to any of the topics that we talk about on this day or any day, that we all just stop lying, stop participating in the lying, fight for what is true, say it and see what happens.
Do we have a video of a guy that I show every now and again who pushes that sort of crazy notion?
Okay, go.
unidentified
One way to increase the probability that things will unfold for you properly is to...
Just stop lying.
mike emanuel
Stop saying things you believe to be untrue.
Stop doing things you know to be wrong.
dave rubin
Just start with that.
mike emanuel
You'll get closer and closer to the truth.
And the truth is the adventure of life.
brian kilmeade
That's the advantage to the truth.
You have the world on your side.
unidentified
Because if you're lying about things, you're opposing reality.
mike emanuel
Who are you?
brian kilmeade
Who are you to oppose reality?
dave rubin
Who are you to oppose reality?
And maybe if enough of us stop opposing reality, reality has a way of ordering things so that goodness actually wins.
Like, I actually think that is true.
The lies can work for so long.
The badness can work for so long.
And there's something about the truth.
There's something about actual reality that reorders things into goodness.
And I sense in this weird moment we're in.
With all of the stuff that's happening in the Middle East and what we're talking about as it relates to the media and everything else, that through the fog of all of the lies and manipulation and bots and algorithmic stuff and all of the things that we've lived through post-COVID and everything else, that maybe the pushback is starting to be here, but it will not magically occur.
Each one of us have a little something to do with that.
Can I say that tomorrow is officially Tequila Presale Day?
I think I can say it.
Tomorrow is officially Tequila Presale Day.
We will have more on that.
I am very excited.
