Dave Rubin and Jillian Michaels dissect Bill Burr's hypocrisy regarding Elon Musk, contrasting his anti-Musk rhetoric with his celebration of Luigi Mangione. They critique Rosie O'Donnell's move to Ireland amidst Trump's presidency and expose Governor Gavin Newsom's contradictory hosting of Steve Bannon while ignoring AB 665's controversial mental health provisions. The episode concludes by dismissing Michelle Obama's new podcast as underwhelming before offering nuanced nutrition advice, clarifying that seed oils are safe but processed chemicals are not, urging a return to whole vegetables over artificial foods. I don't want to bang you up right before we start the show.
We're just going to recap a bunch of things, mostly media-related, that happened this week.
And I thought this would be an interesting one to start with you, Jillian, because, you know, I'm always conflicted about when we should cover what celebrities say and when we shouldn't because we focus too much on them.
And yet we are in this culture war, so how much attention should we pay?
But I thought this one was particularly interesting because comedian Bill Burr, who's outspoken about Pretty much everything.
Seems to be going in the reverse direction of the culture war.
Meaning that, let's say, our side is kind of winning the culture war.
But he's going the other direction.
And take a listen to this on his podcast, his thoughts about Elon.
Yeah, well, we'll have more on Khalil in just a second.
The reason I mentioned Luigi Mangione, as you remember, this is the guy who murdered the CEO of UnitedHealthcare in midtown Manhattan, just point-blank shot him, killed him, because he was apparently not happy with some of the coverage that he got for some back injuries over the years.
Well, here's just one more of Bill Burr.
And again, I'm only doing this.
It's not to own Bill Burr.
I don't really care about Bill Burr.
I opened for him once at the Mohegan Sun doing stand-up back in, like, 99 or something like that.
I don't care about Bill Burr.
It's more to just this odd take on the culture war and the hysteria associated with it.
So this is, he was on the complex podcast, radio show, whatever it is, video show, and listened to this.
Yeah, they brought it back.
unidentified
Well, they brought it back a couple of times, and they went with cheaper leather.
And now somehow I'm going to have to segue from a story about a lesbian to boner pills.

That was a hell of a segue, wasn't it?
Wouldn't you say that was amazing what I just did there?
Let's shift, though, and we're going to talk a bit about California and a man who we are both not fans of, Gavin Newsom, who now has a podcast because clearly he's doing such a bang-up job as governor, he has nothing else to do but start a podcast.
And he's been putting on these right-wingers.
Right-Wing Guests and Mental Health Concerns00:11:38
If a guy had ever had a set of grievances, they did steal, according to us, and we're firm believes this is the 2020 election, which I think worked out better.
unidentified
Providentially, that he was able to come back with that gap, because I think you're seeing a much more, not just new and improved, but somebody that's much more in command of these decisions and really stepping up in a way that we could have never done before.
Then, in addition to that, he's stepping away from some of this crazy, woke ideology on the left, and even admitted that it's unfair to have biological males in sports alongside biological females, which is something I've said, listen, you want to run for president and a Democrat in the next election for 28, you're going to need to call out this craziness.
And take the side of 80% of the country on these social issues.
He's doing that.
Why do I find this alarming?
Because this man is a sociopath.
He has one North Star and its power.
As he sits here and does show after show after show, using Republicans, because that's exactly what he's doing to try to make himself look more moderate, having them ultimately platform him, because we're talking about him right now.
I can tell you that Pacific Coast Highway is still an Absolute shambles.
And six weeks later, not one thing has been cleaned up.
And in fact, my kids are not in school today still because of the state of Pacific Coast Highway because it's sprinkled yesterday.
And he does podcast after podcast after podcast.
So this concerns me.
And I actually wish Republicans wouldn't go on his show because it gives him a huge audience.
You know, it's so interesting to hear you say that because you are, I think, on that short list of people that you're always willing to talk to anybody.
You had my former boss, Cenk, who I think is one of the worst people on the internet on your show a couple weeks ago, and you did a nice job with him and you treated him with respect and all that stuff.
So you're not somebody that shies away from any of this.
I agree with the Tate brothers, Dave, and that's how much I, and I do not.
Do not like the Tate brothers.
And I would sit with them in a heartbeat and have a conversation.
But this is a different animal because if this man actually succeeds in becoming president, you and I might be moving to Ireland or we can pick another place.
But I genuinely am concerned because we've seen what he's done with California.
I cannot live in the same country as Rosie O'Donnell at this point.
I'd be going to...
Where are we going to go, guys?
Where do you guys want to go?
I need a little bit.
Bora Bora.
I always go back to Bora Bora.
You know, joking aside, I really do agree with you because I've said to my guys, and I've said it on the show, if they allow me on the show with him, and we are talking to his people, I'm going to make a point of saying I am not here for your reclamation project.
Like, I'm here to destroy you because you deserve to be destroyed.
So even though these guys are smacking him down in a weird way, they're offering him that handout, and you're right, a handout in a certain sense can work.
But when you're the level that he's at, that's the problem.
Anyway, let's just show one other clip from the show because, again, he's bringing on people who are beating him senseless and, you know, his fake teeth and slicked hair aside, I think people see through it.
Take a look.
unidentified
Why does it take so many months or days to count the ballots in California a month?
It's because, and by the way, we've been having this conversation enough, and first of all, we believe that every vote counts, so we want to make sure every vote is counted because of the provisional ballots, the fact we do all mail-in ballots, the fact that we have such huge investments in making sure that we increase that outreach.
We want to make sure, again, every vote counts, but you're right.
I'm right about something?
No, absolutely.
The right is right and you are right to criticize the extended period.
These are the things on the left you don't like that I'm going to stop.
Personally, we've seen this guy come out of these conversations, no matter how beaten up he gets, and he manages to parlay it into greater popularity points.
We've seen him in these conversations with Hannity previously.
We've now seen him on his own podcast, and I just think it's dangerous.
I think this is going to win him a ton of brownie points.
I think the goal for him is to say, To the independents, because he knows where these elections are now won.
Like, listen, I'm willing to sit down on the other side.
Look how moderate I am.
I'm willing to call balls and strikes.
I mean, this is the strategy that it will take for a Democrat to rise.
And he's bucking his own party, which is what needs to be done.
If he was actually a decent governor, I would see this as hopeful, because we do need more than one party, obviously.
But I just...
I think he is a horrendous governor and a frightful human being.
But part of it with Newsom is, you're right, he has reversed, at least temporarily, on some of this woke stuff.
But I think it's important that we don't forget that he didn't sign things like this just two years ago.
This is California Bill 665. And let me read the text for you quickly.
To the members of the California State Assembly, I am signing Assembly Bill 665, which will allow youth...
12 years of age or older to consent to mental health care services, whether covered by Medi-Cal or private health plans.
Youth ages 12 and older with private health insurance already have the right to consent to their own mental health services, but youth with Medi-Cal coverage do not.
This bill extends that right so minors in Medi-Cal may also consent to their mental health care services.
This bill eliminates an eligibility disparity, which places lower income youth who do not have private health insurance at a disadvantage, improving access to life-saving care for young people.
Sincerely, Gavin Newsom.
So look, he might've said that thing about boys and girls' See, I was wondering about that because I was listening for that.
Well, the language is slightly vague, except it says if you're 12, you can consent to mental...
Well, you know, one of the things that this guy loves to do, without me fully understanding what this means and taking your word for it, obviously, one of the things that he loves to do...
So for example, one of the things that sent me fleeing from California as my domiciled state, as a resident of California, was a bill that had to do with 14-year-olds having sex with people up to 10 years older than them.
So a 14-year-old girl can have sex with a 24-year-old man, and that 24-year-old doesn't necessarily need to be labeled as a sex offender.
Now, this was unfair to the gays, so they ended up amending this so that a 24-year-old man can have sex with a 14-year-old boy and now not be forced to register as a sex offender.
Well, Jillian, even though as of, I think, Gavin Newsom's podcast, there are now more podcasts than people on planet Earth, Michelle Obama has also decided to become a podcast host because apparently everybody wants to be us.
We'll talk about that in just a moment.
Guys, I started this show to uncover what's really going on in the world.

I see somebody of note with a platform who, you know, by every measure looks successful, The first question is how?
It could have been like death and destruction and geopolitics and hair ups and that stuff's all kind of a bummer.
So this was, yeah.
I mean, I would definitely leave with the caveat that you tell people, Not to bother watching the Michelle Obama show, and since you're pointing out those comments, because, again, did I mention that you killed an hour of my life as I listened to that?
Jillian, tell me one thing, as the fitness guru that you are, we didn't focus on that today, tell me one thing I should eat this weekend and one thing I should not eat this weekend.
