It's like the fourth time I've watched that, and it gets worse every time.

And I'm very excited for today's show.
We have some informative stuff.
I'd say we have a little bit of comedy, a little bit of wit, some wacky stuff.
It's a little bit of everything.
That is what I can promise you for the next hour of your life.
And of course, there's a million shows that you could be watching to recap President Trump's speech last night.
And they're all going to kind of start the same way and show a lot of the same clips.
So I want to take a little different tack at it to start.
I want to start with something else for a moment that will frame what we're doing today, which is that my buddy Stephen A. Smith went on The View.
Yesterday.
And they were not thrilled with this guy, which is kind of funny because he's basically a lifelong Dem.
He did not vote for Donald Trump.
He still has repeatedly said, although he doesn't have any major problems with Trump, that he doesn't support him.
There's also some strange polls out there.
I mean, and this just shows you, and he's even admitted it, how thin the Dem bench is, that he's one of the top frontrunners for the Democrat nomination four years from now.
So the whole thing's a little wacky.
But anyway, he goes on The View yesterday.
So this is...
Just hours before Trump's big speech last night.
And Joy was trying to make it seem that Trump does not have a mandate, despite winning the popular vote and the Electoral College and the House and the Senate and the whole freaking thing.
And Stephen A. put her in her place.
And I think we'll use that as the sort of opener for everything that Trump did later in the evening.

He's only been in office for six weeks.
Seems like six years, doesn't it?
And he's been going around with his cronies touting his so-called landslide and blowout win.
But he won the popular vote by 1.5%, one of the smallest ever, and he won the general election by less than 50%.
So what kind of mandate is this really?

Well, it is a mandate, and I'm going to explain why.
And I don't mind the question, but let me be very clear.
I'm no supporter of Trump.
I'm a supporter of truth and the facts.
And here's the facts.
The man won every swing state.
He increased in terms of his voter turnout in his favor from the standpoint of blacks, Latinos, and young voters.
He increased his numbers in that regard from 2020. Eighty-nine percent of the counties shifted to the right.
That's a mandate.
We can sit up there and play around all we want to.
In 2020, Trump didn't win the popular vote.
He didn't win the electoral college vote.
A matter of fact, the Republicans hadn't won the popular vote, if I remember correctly, since 2004. But they did this year.
So 20 years after they last won the popular vote, they won the popular vote.
They won the electoral college vote.
The man won every swing state.
And on top of it, 89% of the counties shifted.
I don't understand.
How people can look at that and say, there's no mandate.
There's a mandate.

But the problem is that if you're the Democratic Party and you lost 49.8% to 48.3% and you're looking at that 1.5% dip, that's an excuse for you to say, what we did really wasn't that bad.
We should continue to do that.
No, don't continue to do that.

That is a beautiful example of why Ben Shapiro coined the phrase, facts don't care about your feelings.
Joy has a feeling.
Her feeling is that Trump doesn't have a mandate because she doesn't like Trump.
And then Stephen A., who opens it by saying, I'm no supporter of Trump, which again, Stephen A., we should discuss further on camera and over some steak.
He then just lays out all of the reasons, the massive shifts that we saw, and all of the swing states and everything else.
I don't need to repeat all of it.
And then she just sits there, well, I guess we have a different definition of mandate.
Yeah, because if it had been Biden or Kamala that had won by 1.5% of the popular vote and everything else, you would be saying, if the things were reversed right now, what would the Democrats be saying?
They would be saying, well, we got the Dem.
The Dems the president, the Dems got the House, the Dems got the Senate, mandate.
Like, it's just so damn obvious.
Okay, so I want to put that there, because then Trump gave what I think was, and I've said this a couple times over the years when he's given great speeches, I think that was the single greatest speech he's ever given.

The Madison Square Garden rally a few weeks before he was elected.
And it was incredible.
Wait, was that before he was elected or before he was sworn in?
It was before he was elected, right?
Oh yeah, it was like the week before the election.
And it was absolutely incredible.
The speech, the energy, you know, they said it was a Nazi rally and all the usual stuff.
But what Trump did last night, blending truth with results, with humor and love for country was...
It was probably the best speech I've heard in my lifetime.
So let's start with him going after the woke.

We've ended the tyranny of so-called diversity, equity, and inclusion policies all across the entire federal government and indeed the private sector and our military.

The United States has sent hundreds of billions of dollars to support Ukraine's defense with no security, with no anything.

All right, so there's two things that happen there.
Obviously the woke stuff, we don't have to get into that.
It's obviously great that we're getting DEI out of the system and that we're going to have less boys beating the crap out of girls and that stuff.
Okay, fine.
The second half of that about Ukraine was the only time the Democrats applauded because he was basically saying...
You inept morons from the administration before me have given all of this money with no strings attached, and they're all like this.
And then you can see it.
And that's why he was so good last night, because he can read off the prompter perfectly.
And then, you know, he goes on these extemporaneous kind of stand-up things and works with the crowd and all that.
But he looks at them and basically says, do you guys want it to go on forever?
And they're just applauding Ukraine and more money to Ukraine.
And then he kind of sticks it to Pocahontas.
There was also a rumor going around.
I cannot confirm nor deny that Ilhan Omar had a bomb under her little do-rag there.
I don't know.
I just saw it on Twitter.

This was maybe my favorite part of the entire, like the best kind of one-liner on the whole thing when he was talking about the border. - The media and our friends in the Democrat party kept saying we needed new legislation, we must have legislation to secure the border.
But it turned out that all we really needed was a new president.

*crowd cheers* He should have just like thrown some glitter up and just walked off the stage.
Like that line, that was it.
You guys all remember that ridiculous bipartisan deal that everyone in the media said.
Had to be signed, right?
And every Democrat said, that's the only way we can fix the border.
And it was a complete lie.
We were in D.C. while it was being fought out.
And we interviewed a couple senators.
We interviewed Ted Cruz.
We interviewed Rand Paul.
It was complete nonsense.
One of the only things that the president is supposed to do is protect the border.
So Biden came in, reversed about 67 actions that Trump did on the border from his first go-around.
And then Trump has just reversed them.
Thus, where are we at with border closings?
Take a look at this.
This is from the Rapid Response 47 team.
So this is one of the official Trump accounts on Twitter.
Illegal southern border encounters.
February of 22, 166,000.
February of 23, 156,000.
February of 24, 189,000.
February of 25, 8,000.
And then they wrote, what was that about needing a bill again?
By the way, you may be looking at those numbers going, wait a minute, we've been talking about millions and millions of people coming.
These are just the border encounters, right?
So these are the people that actually are encountered by border guards, that there's some level of interaction and some level of tracking and everything else.
We're not talking about just the flood of people that have come through, which has largely been stemmed to, right?
Because once Trump came in, or even before Trump came in, we knew that the numbers were dropping because people were like, oh, Shit, I might get deported or otherwise kicked back to my country or put in jail or something like that.
And it's not just the border stuff.
So this is a bit of a sidebar, although it was briefly mentioned when he talked about RFK at one point.
But look at this image from Fox News.
From yesterday.
Chains frying with beef tallow.
Steak and Shake, Popeyes, Outback Steakhouse, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Smashburger.
These are all big, massive chains that I'm sure you've been to.
I think I've been to all.
I don't know that I've been to a Smashburger.
Do we have a Smashburger here in Miami?

We do not have one in Miami, according to the crack team.
But I'll check it out, I guess.
But they have decided, oh, we are not going to fry in all of that vegetable oil that is killing people and leading to heart disease and everything else.
What we are going to do is fry in beef tallow the way even McDonald's did it about 30 years ago, which is much healthier.
The reason I'm showing you that is that it's not all about the laws that Trump is signing.
It's not all about the executive actions.
It's culture.
It's energy.
That is the Trump effect.
That is the shift that we are seeing in the...
So Trump didn't pass a law demanding that fast food joints and wing joints change the way they fry, but then they start seeing the writing on the wall.
And then they look at the numbers and they go, boy, you know, there is this move towards health and everyone's talking about seed oils and doing things more health consciously, etc.
How about we go ahead and do that?
And sure, does it cost a little bit more to fry and beef tallow?
It does.
And over time, that'll go down because more and more people will use it, right?
That's demand.
That's fairly simple, supply and demand stuff.
But they look at it and they go, it's a risk worth taking.
And then what happens?
We all get healthier.
It's pretty good.
Now, the drama...
Of the evening is there's this guy, Al Green, who I was told was just a pimp, but he gets out there and he's a he's a Democrat.
He's angry.
He does not like Trump.
And this was the the theater portion of the evening.

I also think Trump really dealt with it well.
Trump didn't get into it with him, which you know he could have, maybe in a different forum, different setting.
But Trump kind of stepped back.
The process worked.
And then just one more thing on this ridiculous Al Green, who, by the way, he represents Houston, which is struggling in so many ways right now, which I think Jasmine Crockett's also from Houston.

What did Hakeem Olajuwon and Clyde Drexler do to deserve these people?
I do not know.

And I was making it clear to the president that he has no mandate to cut Medicaid.
I have people who are very fearful.
These are poor people.
And they have only Medicaid in their lives when it comes to their health care.
And I want him to know that his budget calls for deep cuts in Medicaid.
He needs to save Medicaid, protect it.
We need to raise the cap on Social Security.
There's a possibility that it's going to be hurt.
And we've got to protect Medicare.
These are the safety net programs that people in my congressional district depend on.
And this president...
Seems to care less about them and more about the number of people that he can remove from the various programs that have been so helpful to so many people.
It is the best way to get it across to a person who uses his incivility against our civility.
He is a person who has consistently used incivility against civility.

I don't think we have to analyze that too much.
Suffice to say, okay, you don't like what the guy's doing, but he has every right to do it.
He's hacking away at the system.
You live to prop up the system, and you're upset.
What I really want to focus on is the guy's beard.
Because what the high hell?
Can we put him in a box, or can we throw back to him while I'm doing a little analysis here?
You've got to do a basic shave job.
It is possible I might have a few hairs over here.
It's possible every now and again.
You know, I look and I go, I better make sure that the shape stays nice over there.
The man is being taken over.
He looks like he's going into Teen Wolf mode.
Like, maybe he was turning into a wolf, and that's why they had to get rid of him.
But why doesn't someone say, all right, you can come back to me.
I can't look at this much longer.
It's also very greasy, but, like, we've got a lot of grease over here.
Like, why doesn't someone say, dude, you've got grease dripping out of your hair.

Turns out he had brain cancer and he has wanted to be a police officer.
And while you saw it already, here's Donald Trump giving an honorary Secret Service badge to this beautiful young man.

The police love him.

They had five months to live.

So this is like if a high school kid sends a picture, an inappropriate picture to another kid, and that kid posts it.
Online, that's thought of as revenge porn and deepfakes.
Obviously, it's through AI. You could take someone's face and put it on porn.
There's just a lot of stuff that's going to need to be dealt with there and figure out how do we deal with this without jailing kids.
There's just a whole bunch of stuff.
Anyway, she's been having meetings about this and surprise, surprise, Democrats not that interested in stopping revenge porn or deepfakes.

We don't know where the moderates are.
It leads to somebody like Stephen A. Smith.
You know, basically polling at the top for who they're going to run, even though I'm not even sure he knows why he's a Democrat anymore and all of the rest of the stuff.
Over on the televised mental institution known as MSNBC, two of the people who are replacing Crazy Joy Reid...

Are Simone Sanders, who once worked for Bernie Sanders, then worked for Hillary Clinton.
Basically, she's just a hack for hire.
And Michael Steele, who was once the head of the Republican National Committee.
I had him on when he was still a Republican.
And it was at the beginning of the Trump thing.
And he was a Trump guy.
He was explaining to me why the energy behind Trump all made sense and everything else.
That interview was about 2015 or so.
Anyway, here they are, and they actually kind of say something right.
the Democrats all went in with these ridiculous cards as if they were going to be at an auction.
And here they are admitting that this was just not the right play.

So that is her, and she was obviously displeased with President Trump.

And today it looks to me like they're even more lost and even more defeated than when the speech started.

You'd try to show some level of humanity in there.
So when the 95-year-old mother who just got her son back from the Russian prison is mentioned, who happened, she was born in Butler, Pennsylvania, where Trump got shot, like, kind of beautiful moment.
You might want to applaud that.
You might want to applaud the 13-year-old kid who had 13 brain surgeries.
You might want to do that, but they could not do that.
I actually think Trump missed an opportunity.
He was quite good in the way he was pointing out, you people will never applaud anything I do.
I mean, he basically said at the top, if I cured cancer, you wouldn't applaud.
He should have stopped at one point and been like, boy, you know, this is something.
You guys don't applaud me for anything.
He's like, why don't we play a game right now?
Can you applaud that America is the greatest country in the world?
And what would they have done?

And he's on his way in the first hundred days to be the most unpopular president in their first hundred days.

All right, so the reason I wanted to show you that is that, look, I was, I would look, I was, I would say, a fairly big piece of the recall against Gavin Newsom during COVID, and I campaigned with Larry Elder and all of those things, and it did not work, and it did not work by a landslide.
So in some sense, the Californians got exactly what they asked for.
I don't think this will work either.
I think that these places are just so broken and everything else that...
It kind of is what it is at this point.
Now I want to contrast that with something else, or not even contrast, I want to add on to it, I should say, because in New York, Andrew Cuomo, who was the governor, stepped down over a sex scandal, although the thing that I think really damaged him mostly was taking all of the old people and putting them back into the old age homes, and literally, and I don't even think this is up for debate, Thousands of people died because of him.
He took sick old people and put them with other sick old people.
That is a fact.
He will have to answer for that one day.
Well, he had to step down as governor over the harassment scandal, but now he is running for New York City mayor, and he went on Stephen A. Smith's show to talk a bit about why he's doing that and some of his pandemic response.

The bottom, bottom line for the state of New York, and to cut through all the politics, they then count how many people died in nursing homes per 100, okay?
So it's apples and apples, big state, small state.
For every 100 people in nursing homes, how many died?
State of New York is number 38. Which means only 12 states had a lower rate of death than New York.
And that is saying something, Stephen, because, you know, we had it first.
And other states had months to prepare.
It just fell out of the sky for New Yorkers.
But those are federal numbers.
The rate of death in nursing homes, we rank number 38. I would have liked to be number 50, but 38, only 12 states had a lower rate of death.
