Sweetie, where are you?
joy reid
I can't find you.
unidentified
Oh, his shoes are here.
Okay, hold on.
Maybe he's hiding.
Is he hiding here somewhere?
Where is he hiding?
Oh, chairs are moved.
Oh, is he here?
dave rubin
Be quiet!
unidentified
Okay, sorry.
What's wrong?
Since the failed assassination of Donald Trump, it's now certain that he's going to defeat Avocado Brain and he's going to round up the Jews.
dave rubin
I'm hiding.
unidentified
I'm afraid.
dave rubin
I'm Dave Rubin.
This is the Rubin Report.

We've got a lot to get to.
Oh, and on Thursdays, we do release our official Locals exclusive newsletter.
It's absolutely free to get.
You just have to create an account on Locals, and that comes out every day at 6 p.m.
Includes deep thoughts by yours truly, and some behind-the-scenes things, and much more.
And I think you can probably imagine what the theme of the show is going to be today, because I was about to go play basketball last night, and as I got out of the car, I saw two things right back to back.
One was Joe Biden saying that if he got sick or had some sort of medical emergency, he would drop out.
And then I just scrolled Twitter for about a half a second longer than that, and then saw that he now magically has COVID.
So I think we can all see what's going on here.
It's been happening for quite some time.
The system is trying to figure out how to get rid of him.
He has completely broke down.
The Democrats are in absolute disarray, which is exactly what they deserve to be in.
And the destruction of the party is important for the future of America.
And that, of course, is just the sort of backdrop to something that's really great and happening right now, which is at the Republican National Convention, there is a giant new coalition forming.
Something that I've been calling for and asking for and hoping for, for quite some time.
And it is coalescing right in front of our eyes right now.
So it's really wonderful.
We're going to get into that.
And then a couple of questions from the Rubin Report Locals community.
And I realized that I left my wedding ring in the car because I was playing basketball.
Could you get that before the internet starts flying with rumors that I got divorced?
So we'll do all of that in just a second.
But let me talk to you guys about TWC Health.
Guys, what's with the bird flu chatter over the past couple weeks?
First off, do birds actually get the flu?
Seems like people playing Scrabble just combined two words and said, let's use this!
But real talk, something is unfolding.
I've seen about 15 different headlines recently.
Luckily, the wellness company has your back.
Their Contagion Emergency Kit has a variety of medicines to treat respiratory illnesses, all of which you would normally need to be in a hospital to get.
But the wellness company removes the red tape.
It's an election year and we know how the desperate one party is.
So be prepared with the Contagion Kit.
It's probably a good idea.
Get the Contagion Kit and save about 45 bucks with code Reuben.
That's TWC.health slash Reuben and use my code.
Take a quick intake form after the checkout and the kit arrives in about two weeks.
Medical board approved red tape removed kits available in the US of A and now back to me.
Okay, so here is the video that came out yesterday of Biden now sort of conceding to the system
that this thing is basically wrapping up.
unidentified
If there has some medical condition in a nurse.
If somebody, if doctors came to me and said, you got this problem, that problem.
But I made a serious mistake in the whole debate.
And look, when I originally ran, you may remember it, I said I was going to be a transitional candidate.
And I thought that I'd be able to move from this, just pass it on to someone else.
But I didn't anticipate things getting so, so, so divided.
And quite frankly, I think The only thing, age brings a little bit of wisdom.
And I think I've demonstrated that I know how to get things done for the country, in spite of the fact that we couldn't get it done.
But there's more to do, and I'm reluctant to walk away from that.
dave rubin
All right, first off, I can't believe I'll give him a little bit of credit for kind of completing a thought there, which has become so rare that, all right, I'll just, you know, you get a little something on that one, Joe.
But of course, the real concession there is that if something happens to me, if i get sick if they tell me it's this or that then i'm out now first off we all know he already has something wrong with him right whether it is lube body parkinson's which is what most people think some version of dementia like whatever it is there is something going on he's obviously being drugged
He's being treated for it, right?
We know that for sure because if he isn't, then they are abusing him by neglecting treatment of someone that obviously has something wrong with them.
The confusion, the stammering, the stiffness of the body, the hands, all of that stuff.
If you want a little bit more on the general medical background of some of that without diagnosing him specifically, watch my episode from our Friday show about two or three weeks ago with Dr. Drew and Jay Bhattacharya, who lay out some of it without knowing any of Joe Biden's medical records specifically, obviously.
Anyway, that concession right there is fairly big because everyone's wondering, how are they going to do this?
Trump has an incredible amount of momentum and this is only five days off an assassination
attempt. You see this thing happening at the RNC right now. The Democrats are in utter
disarray. Their intersectional gang and this matrix of oppression that they put together,
it is crumbling fast. And the powers that be in the party, and I would largely say that's Barack
Obama, maybe it's Clinton to some extent, they're realizing they're about to lose the gig and
they don't want to lose that gig.
So anyway, Biden says that, and then about, what, an hour or so later, the Unidos US head, Janet Merguia, Biden was supposed to be giving a speech, she came out to announce to the crowd that, no, Joe's got the COVID.
unidentified
Thank you all so much for your patience and understanding.
Regrettably, I was just on the phone with President Biden, and he shared his deep disappointment at not being able to join us this afternoon.
The President has been at many events, as we all know, and he just tested positive for COVID.
dave rubin
I don't know why, there's something funny about that.
The way she slow rolled it, like, and I've got something, is he dead?
Like, what's going on here?
And he's got COVID, okay.
We can all say what we want about COVID and whether it even matters that he has COVID or not, or, you know, the guy was vaxxed 87 times.
Apparently the vaccine doesn't work.
That's some breaking news for ya.
But he is 80, 81 years old, and it could be a bit problematic, as the kids say.
Alex Stapp tweeted this out from Axios, these two headlines back to back.
Biden says he would drop out of 2024 race if diagnosed with a medical condition.
And then just hours later, Biden tests positive for COVID
while campaigning in Las Vegas.
Now, interestingly, I know no one will care about this at this point.
There will be no social distancing.
There will probably be no masks.
There will be no quarantining of his staff or anything else.
It was all bullshit.
It was always bullshit.
And this is just more evidence that it always was.
But what really is happening right now?
Well, there's blood in the water.
Everyone has seen it in the three weeks.
It was three weeks ago today, the debate, right?
And everyone in these three weeks has seen that the support for Biden is eroding.
The powers that be at the DNC, they are trying to figure out what to do here.
They can't really force him out.
There won't be enough votes on the 25th amendment side.
They have such a freaking thin bench between Kamala and gay Pete and I don't know, Bernie's bones, like whatever's left over there.
There's just nobody left.
And Obama is basically realizing he's not going to get his fourth term.
So they need to force him out now to just do something to change the narrative, right?
Because the narrative right now is Biden is breaking down, the Dems are collapsing, and Trump not only survived an assassination attempt, but is red hot right now.
So check this out from ABC News breaking.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries pushed the party to delay its nominating process, multiple sources tell ABC News.
So we mentioned that yesterday.
Now this is interesting because what they're doing, and I've said this all along, and this is exactly what I said to RFK, When I had him on the show the first time, remember, when RFK announced, I said, I don't know if he'll be a Republican, but I guarantee you he won't be a Democrat by the end because they're so corrupt.
And I was right on that.
And when I had RFK on, I said, there is nothing that that party will not do to attain and retain power.
And that is fairly obvious.
And as I said yesterday, that's in stark contrast to the Republicans.
The Republicans did not, the machinery of the Republicans, the RNC, the Jeb guys, the Mitt Romney types, they did not want Trump taken over in 2015, but they ran a process without changing the rules.
And Trump now has completely transformed the party in, you know, basically a decade, even less than a decade actually.
So that's the way the Republicans have done it, but the Democrats, they will change all of their rules, whatever they have to do with delegates and superdelegates.
And the fact that this stuff is leaking out, right?
The fact that it leaks out, that Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer are trying to figure out ways to push Biden aside, that tells you they want it to leak out.
If they didn't want it to leak out, they could have secret DL calls, right?
But they want it to leak out because they want the pressure to bear on Biden who doesn't even know what he's doing, but really on his wife and the crackhead, so that there will just be nobody left to defend him.
Here's video of ABC News' John Carl saying that Chuck Schumer told Biden, actually told him, to drop out yesterday.
unidentified
One person who has been out there publicly defending Biden told me just a short while ago, Biden is going to see the whole house of cards come down soon.
As for that meeting in Rehoboth, Delaware, I am told that this was a one-on-one meeting, just the Senate leader and the president, and that Chuck Schumer forcefully made the case that it would be better For Biden, better for the Democratic Party, and better for the country if he were to bow out of the race.
And David, when I went to Schumer's office to ask them, to tell them I was going to report this and tell you this tonight, absolutely no denial from Senator Schumer's office.
They only said this, Leader Schumer conveyed the views of his caucus.
In other words, the views of Democratic senators.
I am also told that Hakeem Jeffries, the Democratic leader in the House, has expressed similar views directly to the president.
dave rubin
OK, guys, this isn't about the stuff exactly that he's reporting on.
What I want to focus on is the way that it is now getting leaked out.
So what he just said there was Chuck went and met with Biden one on one.
If they met one-on-one, yeah a couple aides and chief of staff knows where they are and everything else, but a hundred percent, not only could that meeting have been kept quiet, but the contents of the meeting absolutely could have been kept quiet.
But Schumer obviously doesn't want it to be kept kept quiet. And Schumer is most likely working with Obama
again, or the party heads, whoever exactly that is, to get rid of Biden. So they have the meeting and
then Schumer's office doesn't even deny they had the meeting. You know, you might say that a
Democrat president being pushed out by his own party after they decided that he wouldn't have a
primary, right?
There was no real Democrat primary.
And as a matter of fact, they made sure that if RFK was to campaign in any of the states that Biden was on the ticket, that he wouldn't get any of those votes.
So they were already rigging the system against a Kennedy.
You might say that a party that decided not to have primaries that's now pushing out its own candidate.
I don't know.
Is that a coup?
Is that an insurrection?
Is that sedition?
But that's what they are doing to the President of the United States right now.
And I say that not as a Biden supporter, and I wish that the President didn't have dementia because he is the pilot of the plane.
But you are watching a very evil machine, and Biden is just now an increasingly useless piece of the machine.
He's a useless cog in a machine that does not want to fully break down.
And the funny part about this is the media doesn't know exactly what to do with this, because for as bad as things are with Biden, as I said, the bench is thin, right?
Kamala No good.
The rest of them, no good.
So they're still having to defend and deny things about Biden and also throw him under the bus at the same time.
It's really quite spectacular, actually.
Check this out from the televised mental institution known as MSNBC.
This is Joy Reid explaining to us that Trump getting shot and having part of his ear blown off, it's the exact same thing as Biden getting COVID.
joy reid
Here's the question that I have on that.
These two men are both elderly.
Donald Trump is an elderly man who, for whatever reason, was given nine seconds to take an iconic photo op during an active shooter situation.
Weird situation.
We'll figure that out one day.
But his survival of that and bouncing right back and going right to his convention is being conveyed in the media world as a sign of strength.
This current president of the United States is 81 years old and has COVID.
Should he be fine in a couple of days?
Doesn't that convey exactly the same thing?
That he's strong enough, older than Trump, to have gotten something that used to really be I'm running out of adjectives with this lady.
Like, she cannot believe that.
So I don't know what that is.
Like, that is just, like, willful ignorance.
I mean, it's not exactly the same.
It's not the same incident, but it's an elderly man coming through out of an illness.
unidentified
It should.
I'm running out of adjectives with this lady.
dave rubin
Like she cannot believe that.
So I don't know what that is.
Like that is just like willful ignorance.
You're a total sellout.
The hair dye is leaking into your brain.
I don't know exactly what brings that type of thought process about, but if you are comparing,
first off, no one thinks of Donald Trump and thinks elderly.
He is of a certain age, but the man had part of his ear blown off.
immediately jumped to his feet, demanded that the Secret Service allow him to put his shoes
back on because they knocked his shoes off when they tackled him, got up there, blood
dripping down his face, literally into his mouth, and he's chanting, fight, fight, fight.
He's signaling to the crowd as they're rushing him into the car to get him to the hospital.
He then literally is now sitting for three days in a giant stadium with all of the delegates
and everything else with a raucous crowd, all because of the ideas that he has pushed
He has completely transformed the Republican Party.
You might have whatever your frustrations are with him.
You might not like the guy, but the idea that he's elderly and that, you know, that there's some sort of somehow a conspiracy because they were able to take that picture in those 10 seconds or whatever.
It's just so crazy.
And that's in stark contrast.
To Joe Biden, who we're all seeing.
We showed you the video yesterday at the deli and he looks confused as he's standing in front of the bologna and he can't finish his sentence and everything else.
And coming back from COVID after you've had your 27 shots is not exactly the same thing as coming back from having someone try to blow your brains out.
unidentified
That's for you, Joy Reid, okay?
dave rubin
But it continues over on MSNBC because they're freaking out.
Again, they don't know what to do.
They know Biden is a terrible candidate, but they also know they don't have anyone to turn to.
So they're like dealing with this weird thing where they have to acknowledge reality, but they don't know exactly how to package it, which is that really what their job is.
Their job is to launder the lies.
So here's Rachel Maddow and the other panelists, and they're talking about how black women are fleeing Joe Biden right now in crazy numbers.
You're not going to believe the number that they mentioned here.
unidentified
There was a poll out today, a poll of African American women showing a 31 point drop in support from 2020 to 2024 in terms of plans to vote for President Biden.
31 points.
in terms of plans to vote for President Biden.
dave rubin
31 points, 31 point drop from Biden.
That is bad.
They cannot deny it.
And it's kind of funny.
She's looking at Joy Reid, like, do something about your black ladies.
Like, what's going on there?
Because that's all they look at each other and see.
You're a black lady.
Think this.
You're a lesbian who looks like a pencil.
Think this.
Like, that's how they operate.
That is all they got.
Now, you might go, well, why is it that black people, black women specifically, are dropping from the Biden thing?
Perhaps it's because Joe Biden doesn't know the name of his black Secretary of Defense.
unidentified
And so it's all about, it's all about treating people with dignity.
And it's about making sure that, look, I mean, for example, look at the heat I'm getting because I named the Secretary of Defense, a black man, I named Ketanji Brown, I mean, because of the people I've named.
dave rubin
Lloyd Austin is that black man and I literally, and we tried to find some this morning, did anyone see any pushback that the Secretary of Defense is a black man?
There might be some pushback if you don't like what his policies are or the way he's going about his business, but I've never heard once.
Anyone on Fox News or anywhere else give this guy any crap because Lloyd Austin is a black man.
Now, Keatonji Brown Jackson, that one's a little bit different because Joe Biden specifically said, I'm going to appoint a black woman to the Supreme Court.
So people were critical of that, right?
They were critical of the identity politics portion of that.
She's also a woman who doesn't know the definition of woman.
That's also a problem.
But This is what they have been left with.
This is what intersectionality was going to rot.
In the country and in the party specifically, and they are going to have to deal with all that.
We got more on the other side.

And now back to me.
All right, let's jump into a RubinReport.locals.com community Q&A.
Adi is manning the computer right now.
And if you want to get a question in, You can do that by submitting at this very moment.
Lo Brian says, when your tequila becomes available, what size or sizes will it come in?
Have you figured out how much it might cost?
So we're doing a standard size, 750 milliliters.
That's what most, almost all bottles of alcohol usually are.
You know, sometimes you see the double big one, the Magnum, something like that, or they have like the three, 325s, 350s, kind of the half one, but we're doing the standard one.
I cannot wait to share this with you.
We have such beautiful branding.
We went with a kind of simple bottle.
Simplicity was kind of my main idea here because it's really about the flavor of the tequila and the way the tequila is made.
The tequila is made the right way, 100% blue agave, and we went out to the fields and met with the people at the distillery and all those things.
Did all of the tastings which was three days of drinking a lot of tequila and fortunately we had a lot of bread otherwise It would not have been good by the end of the day But it's a beautiful beautiful Exquisite that's the word.
It's an exquisite and fragrant tequila truly like you haven't tasted before So it's a simple glass bottle, but our branding and our labels are every single label is one-of-a-kind We're doing something really cool.
I don't want to say much more than that at the moment, but every single bottle will be one of a kind and different
than every other bottle due to something we're doing on the labels.
The first 5,000 bottles, I'm gonna sign personally every one of them,
which is gonna be a little complex, but we're figuring out how to do that.
And oh, and the price point, we're still not sure.
I want it to be accessible to everybody.
I think it's probably around 70 to 80, but remember, this is mostly a sipping tequila.
So that will go a long way, but I really, I can't wait.
I'm hoping we can get it out on September 3rd when I come back from off the grid, but at the very least, it'll be pre-sales that day and we'll be out by October.
There's a little bit of complexity, obviously, because you have to get tequila into the States and there's legal issues and all sorts of stuff, but we're working as fast as we can.
Rick says, what's the point of Newsom passing AB-1955?
In typical liberal fashion, they throw this stuff out there and try to get conservatives to engage over whether or not this is a good idea, with Gavin smiling and lying about how he wants to protect children.
He doesn't care about kids, trans or otherwise.
They aren't well-meaning.
This isn't their view.
It's just lies.
So bypassing that charade, what's really the point of this?
To get the news That's a great question, and I agree with your summation there.
Look, the idea that you would allow a teacher, a state employee, to be calling a kid a different name, to be identifying that kid as a different gender, and then not inform the parents of that, to actually make it illegal for them to do that, is genuinely psychotic.
The parent, it falls on you as the parent to be the ultimate arbiter of what that child is learning and who they're being taught by and everything else.
And you can see, I mean, look, Elon had all sorts of reasons to leave California.
Taxes, regulation, crime, homelessness, all of that stuff.
We showed you that video that I recorded a year and a half ago outside of Twitter offices that look like it's from I Am Legend, right?
With zombies and everything.
He had a million reasons to leave.
This was the one that finally got him to leave.
He's a father, right?
I think he has at least nine kids or something.
Do we know how many kids he has?
He has like nine or is it even more than that at this point?
The guy's got a lot of kids.
But anyone, literally anyone who is a parent in California right now, it doesn't matter what your political beliefs are or anything else, like how would you feel If you found out, if I found out that I was sending my son Justin to school, he's six years old, and if I found out actually for the last four months the teachers have been calling him Justine and they hid that from me.
And then the state made it even more complex for me to find out about that.
That's absolutely crazy.
Once they start coming for the family in that in that manner and that is go so I don't know what the point is like is he literally maybe it is that Gavin is trying to purge the state of California of anyone who is sane and willing to fight back and he just wants a bunch of brain broken woke progressives there because they'll be very easy to govern like maybe that really is it but the fact that he's like trolling Elon on Twitter after now he's going to take these companies out thousands of employees, all of the tax revenue, all of that.
And Gavin sees it as a win.
It is, he is evil.
Like I don't know how to say it any other way.
I believe that evil exists.
And I believe that certain people can be drivers of that evil.
And I think that that's what he is.
He should be allowed to exist, but we should be allowed to call him out on it.
Elon has 12 kids.
Really amazing.
The guy's doing all of the stuff that he's doing and he's also repopulating the Earth.
So it is David's birthday tomorrow.
I cannot say what I'm doing because I don't know that he watches the show.
Do any of you know?
Does he watch the show anymore?
I mean, he gets to listen to me all the time.
It's a lot, you know?
But I can't say it, but I do have something.
I can report to you guys and locals over the weekend, but there's nothing else that I could say right now.
Pruski says, hey Dave, how will Trump or anyone in his circle avoid another assassination attempt?
The mainstream media is already back to their antics, which in my opinion caused this assassination attempt in the first place.
As always, thank you for what you do.
Look, there's always this issue about the rhetoric, right?
The rhetoric runs hot on both sides.
Everybody on both sides say things that could instigate somebody or whatever else.
Of course, I joke about people, I call people names, all of these things.
I believe in the autonomy of people, right?
and we have laws for a reason, and we have free speech for a reason and everything else.
But there's something about, there was something about the specific way
they were dealing with Trump.
It's one thing to call Bernie a socialist.
First off, he says he's a socialist.
I think socialism is a horrific set of ideas.
And I think that having socialists in our government is a bad idea.
And you can explain that, as we do on the show, you can explain that very easily over time, right?
Or AOC, if you take some of the bad ideas that AOC or Rashida Tlaib
or some of these other people have put in.
And then I use colorful language, obviously, and I joke around about them and all the rest of it.
But I think there are genuinely bad forces in the government.
And that is just a fact.
There is something very different when an entire cultural machine for the last nine years, basically since 2015, a machine that loved Donald Trump before that.
He was a major TV star.
He was a real estate guy.
He was in movies.
He was, I was watching a freaking old NBA game from 1995.
I think it was Rocket Spurs, Western Conference Finals game.
I think it's game six, if I'm not mistaken.
And Donald Trump is literally acting as the cameraman and they're going back and forth with him on that.
Like the guy was loved by everybody.
He was in Home Alone 2, which they've now edited out when they show it on cable TV.
But when you then spend nine years calling him Hitler and all his supporters, white supremacists and Nazis,
you have done something else.
They have done something else.
Because what would be the good moral thing to do to Hitler if you could go back to pre-Holocaust, pre-World War II Hitler, in the early days of Hitler?
I mean, this is a thought experiment that people have had for decades.
Would it be just to kill him?
They always say, would it be just to kill baby Hitler before any of that stuff happened?
And that's the irony of all of the very same people who have spent all this time calling him Hitler, knowing that's just simply not how he is.
And then he gets an attempted assassination and then they're wishing him well.
It's like, why would you wish Hitler well unless everything you say is BS?
So I think unfortunately they've upped the temperature in a weird way.
And again, that's not to say that Trump hasn't upped the temperature in his own way.
Everybody has, it ultimately comes down to the person but everyone should know that signals are being sent out
and we live in a time of, you know, people have a lot of different mental conditions.
There's isolation problem, post-COVID, the online worlds that exist, the chat rooms and all that.
There's just stuff out there.
Tappy says, what's up with the boys?
Will you be taking them any fun places in August other than family get togethers?
How are the terrible twos?
Is there a winner?
Well, we'll hit the terrible twos in about two weeks from now, but they're just great.
They're just great.
They're happy.
They're good.
Justin was a little bigger than Luke for a while, but that's evening out.
So strength wise, the wrestling has evened out.
They love getting thrown around and climbing.
They climb everything.
We have a lot of pillows.
My whole house has basically become, it looks sort of like an insane asylum,
sort of what I would picture they should have over at MSNBC where it's just padded rooms.
My whole house is padded basically because they just climb everything and destroy everything.
But they're great.
They eat great.
They're smile.
They're happy.
They're good.
They love being outside, which can be rough in the summer.
And yeah, we'll do some beach trips and little things with them.
We're not doing any major, major trip with them.
I don't think we're quite up to that.
And the idea, we have not flown with them yet.
And the idea of flying commercial, which has become so miserable in general, and the delays and everything else, to have two kids with that, the time to get to the airport, getting through security, the waiting, then thinking you might get booted off, like all of that stuff.
So we haven't, we haven't traversed that one yet, but yeah, we'll do a lot of local things, maybe go to Gatorland, see, you know, we got, we got stuff.
Four Competition says, how will Republicans protect the election process this November?
I'm fearful the Dems will cheat worse than last time.
Well, look, Laura Trump has said repeatedly now, and she's head of the RNC, that they are sending poll watchers out there this time.
They're not going to get duped like they were last time.
You know, we were in the middle of the pandemic last time, so these drop boxes were everywhere.
I'd like to believe that, you know, Dinesh D'Souza, he did that movie 2000 Mules, regardless of whether You believed all of it or not, that there will be more people paying attention to these types of things.
Why is it that there's a woman out of, you know, a woman who doesn't look like a professional in any manner, suddenly showing up to a Dropbox with a mask on and a hat and glasses so no one could see her and dropping 300 ballots at 4 a.m.?
Like, why are these things happening?
So I would say everyone, I literally mean this, every one of us has a little bit of a role to play here.
Especially if you live in a blue state.
You know, Florida obviously has extremely tight and secure elections, and some other states do.
But if you live in a state that doesn't, like, kind of keep an eye out.
But I hope they're doing the work.
I really, really hope they're doing the work.
Samantha says, dear Dave, I know you're a tequila guy, but do you also enjoy the occasional glass of red wine
with your steak?
Portugal is well-known for its amazing wine and I'd like to bring you a special bottle
as a gift to the meetup.
So yeah, we are doing a locals meetup in about a week and a half.
Yes, you know, actually, although I'm obviously 90, 95% tequila guy and even tequila with steak,
which I really do like.
I'm more of a red wine guy for Italian.
David makes an amazing chicken parm and we've been doing a bolognese on Sunday nights where I smoke the steak.
So he does the veal and sausage and then I smoke the steak and then he chops it up and make a bolognese out of that.
And so I have more red wine for, for Italian actually, but I will gladly, Taste some Portuguese red wine.
I appreciate it.
And I'm looking forward to seeing you guys.
We got more on the other side, just a sec.
Let me tell you about Moink Box.
Guys, you know that 60% of U.S.
pork production comes from one company owned by the Chinese and their hogs are given Ractopamine, which is banned in 160 countries, including China, but it's in your grocery aisle every day.
Well, there's a better way.
You know what it is.
It's Moink Moo Plus Oink.
Moink delivers grass-fed and grass-finished beef and lamb, pastured pork and chicken, and sustainable wild-caught Alaskan salmon straight to your door.
Moink farmers farm like our grandparents did and as a result Moink meat tastes like it should because the family farm does it better.
The Moink difference is a difference you can taste and you can feel good knowing you're helping family farms stay financially independent as well.
You choose the meat delivered in every box like ribeyes to chicken breasts to pork chops to salmon fillets and much more.
Plus you can cancel anytime.
Shark Tank host Kevin O'Leary called Moink's bacon the best bacon he's ever tasted and they guarantee you'll say, oink oink, I'm so happy I got Moinked.
Keep American farming going by signing up at moinkbox.com slash Reuben right now.
And listeners of this show get free bacon for a year.
That's one of the best bacon you'll ever taste, but for a limited time.
And now back to me.
Kaiser says, are there any other people you would like to see Trump pick as part of his administration?
And if so, for what position?
Do we have that tweet that I put up?
We do have that.
So this is a tweet that I put up.
I think we showed this on the show.
This was a couple of weeks ago that I put this up and I was trying to sort of, I guess, pace things out for Trump in some extent.
So I'll just read this to you real quick.
And obviously some of this has already bared out that it's not going to be, but just here was my sort of predictions or hopes.
I said, Donald, imagine it's 2025.
Donald Trump is president.
Tulsi Gabbard is VP.
Okay.
So that's obviously not going to happen.
Byron Donald is Speaker of the House.
That certainly could happen.
Josh Hawley is Senate Majority Leader.
That certainly could happen.
Vivek Ramaswamy is Press Secretary.
That seems like it could happen and would be really good.
David Sachs, who just spoke at the RNC, is Chief of Staff.
He knows how to staff.
That would be pretty good.
RFK is Director of the CIA.
That might be a bit of a jump, but I don't think it's completely crazy.
Tom Cotton, Director of the FBI.
Ron DeSantis, Attorney General.
Marco Rubio, Secretary of State.
I bet you that one's going to happen.
Chris Rufo, Secretary of Education.
Ted Cruz, Secretary of Homeland Security.
Mike Pompeo, Secretary of Defense, which he did under Trump the first time.
Dr. Peter McCullough, Director of the NIH.
Dr. Drew Pinsky, Director of the FDA.
Bjorn Lundberg, Secretary of Energy.
Peter Thiel, Secretary of Science and Technology.
I like this one.
The Rock, as U.S.
Ambassador to the United Nations.
Peter Schiff, Chair of Economic Affairs.
Rand Paul, chair of the Fed, and Joe Biden in Shady Pines' retirement home.
Now, obviously, JD's gonna be the VP, so the Tulsi thing isn't there,
but the rest of those roughly kind of sound doable and right.
unidentified
Of course, the media would go crazy, and it's the most far-right government,
dave rubin
and da, da, da, da, da.
But I think what is happening, and I referenced this yesterday,
one of my fears, say, six months ago during the primary process,
and one of my reasons for support of DeSantis, instead of Trump was that I felt that DeSantis would be
able to staff properly.
There's all the evidence he could do that and there's a competence level and everything else.
And what I feared was because Trump has gotten into it with so many of his former people, who is going to want to work for the guy?
Well, we have seen a massive shift now.
It's partly because of the craziness of the Biden administration and the Democrats, but it's also because Trump has kind of come around on things so that you've got guys like David Sachs, former COO of PayPal, now doing fundraisers for him.
You've got Elon Musk donating, what was it, $45 million a month to a Trump super PAC.
You're seeing that a whole bunch of different people who are not traditional Republicans are backing the guy.
And I think that that allows you to bring in the right people.
All it takes is a little courage.
So if one guy has a little courage, all right, you're doing it.
I guess I'll do it, too.
And then a few more people, and then people want to get involved.
And then it's exciting.
And then you can actually change the country for the better.
So we shall see.
Olaf says, is there a question that you will never ask a guest, and we know it is not,
so when is the last time you got laid?
That was what I asked Gloria all right after she asked me if I was vaccinated on camera.
Is there a question I would never ask somebody?
unidentified
Thank you.
dave rubin
You know, I don't, I don't think so.
Like there's not just like one blanket question that I just say, Oh, that's not something I would ever ask somebody about.
Um, I could give you a reverse answer to that, which would be, or a slightly different version of that question, which is I always tell interviewers that when they're interviewing me, you can ask me anything, like ask me anything.
And if I don't feel like answering it for some reason, or if I felt it was too personal or completely out of left field, like, Professional enough that even in a live interview, I'm going to figure out a way out of it.
So you can ask me whatever you want.
No, there isn't a specific There isn't a specific thing that I wouldn't ask.
I don't know if anyone can think of one.
I'd be willing to hear it, but I don't think so.
Cool Mom says, what did you think of Vivek's speech?
I found it very powerful and it actually moved me to tears.
I loved the roar of the crowd after he appealed to black voters and was craving more to be said.
I can't believe their loyalty to Democrats after how they've been mistreated.
Is there anything you'd add to it if you were to speak at the RNC?
There was some discussion around that, but here we are at the moment.
I thought his speech was wonderful.
We played a portion of it yesterday.
You know, his talking directly to younger people, and I don't even want to call them Republicans, but young people, and basically what he said was, if you want to be a rebel, it is no longer rebellious to have blue hair and be obese and scream that you're oppressed.
What would be rebellious might be something that Jordan Peterson was talking about a long time ago.
How about standing up straight with your shoulders back?
How about cleaning your room?
How about finding a partner in life?
How about building a family?
How about getting a good job?
How about really navigating a future for yourself that isn't relying on the system?
That's what Vivek was talking about.
He then connected that to the unfortunate situation that I would say the black community, and I hate that phrase, is in, which is that if you always vote, you know, 80, 90% for one party, over time that party owes you less and less.
Now, political parties shouldn't owe any group anything, because if we were a fully healthy society, they wouldn't look at us as groups.
But over time, you're right.
The more that the Democrats have pandered to the black community, the less they've done for them.
So this is a truly unique opportunity.
And look, we just showed you that clip of Rachel Maddow basically very depressingly looking at Joy Reid saying, hey, 31% shift in black women.
We got a problem on our hands.
So people obviously are waking up.
Goldilocks75, how do you navigate your emotions around family you love that believe the lies and absolutely cannot see it?
Do you just not talk about politics or news with them?
I live in Washington and everyone in my family suffers from TDS, Trump Arrangement Syndrome, and believes all the lies.
My mom watches The View every day.
She thinks Biden has done good things for the country.
It gets very frustrating.
It is tough.
I know this question comes up constantly.
I have my own versions of it.
Look, I would say, as I often say to some of the members in my own family that are bringing up politics that don't agree with me, we don't always have to talk about politics.
You know, I'm in a weird position because this is what I do for a living and it's very public.
So people, wherever I go, if I play basketball, I play basketball now with this great group of guys
on Wednesdays and Sundays.
And it's like, everyone knows who I am now and like, they wanna talk politics with me
and I'm more than happy to do that.
But there are times that I don't wanna talk politics too.
And especially when you're with your family, there should be a million other things to talk about,
but I know it's gotten complex.
This was when politics sort of just like went fully, politics used to be like this niche interest thing
for a certain set of people.
And then I guess partly because of social media, maybe partly because of Trump,
but it became like the main driver of our cultural force.
And I don't think that that's very healthy for a society in the long term.
I would say you got to try, if someone's just bludgeoning you with politics, you can try to just tell them why you don't want to be bludgeoned with it, but you also don't have to be abused because we've all been in that situation.
You know, I had a very good friend, Years ago, and we kind of diverged politically.
And ironically, in the last year or so, I think he's shifted a little bit more my way.
But I remember being at a meal.
I think I wrote about this in Don't Burn This Country.
Maybe I cut it, actually.
But we were at a bar.
On the upper west and we've really got into it and i kept saying you know we don't have to do this week and he had just had a third kid i was like we can just talk about your kids we always talk about basketball we talk about video games like there's a million other things we can talk about couldn't do it and it's the only time in my life that i ever got up in the middle of sitting at a bar or at a meal and i just threw cash down on the table and walked out.
And I've never done that.
And it doesn't feel good to do, but you also don't have to be abused relentlessly.
So it's just, you all, everyone has to deal with this thing and we're all dealing with it to some extent.
But as I always say, it's like, we just have to be a little bit better than them.
Like I'm guessing, like for you, the person who submitted the question,
it's like, you probably don't go to every meal ready to fight about politics.
They bring the fight to you, and that's what the tough part is, because you may not be in the mood for it.
And to figure that out and to dance that dance, it's not easy, but I wish you luck.
Jill says, do you think if Trump offers RFK Jr.
a potential attorney general position, or some other position, he's highly qualified in his cabinet, he'll drop out and endorse Trump before November.
I don't think RFK will drop out before November, but I do think, and I have no inside knowledge on this, I promise you, but I do think he would take some position as it pertained to taking out the agencies or reforming the agencies.
I think Vivek would also really want to do that.
But I sense he'd be better at like a PR position.
But you know, RFK, his history of going after these agencies, the millions of lawsuits he's been in and everything else, like, I feel like he'd be the guy to do it.
I don't know if that makes him, I don't know what the title is, maybe he's czar of this or that, like, doesn't even matter what the title is.
But I do think That he would come around on that.
I think Trump has shown he's willing to work with people who are critical of him, but I don't think it's going to happen before.
I, I, I, my gut feeling is RFK will run this thing through, uh, through November.
Uh, Robin says, here's my question.
My son is gay and staunchly left.
He was a Bernie guy.
We respectfully talk about much of politics.
He believes all the project 2025 propaganda and that as a gay man, he will be in danger of Trump wins.
I'm wondering what I could offer him as a starting point that would open the gate to change of heart.
I know you have walked this path.
Please share some thoughts and ideas with me.
Thanks.
Well, first off, I mean, I hope maybe show him some of these videos and you can show him the video that I did after I met Trump at Mar-a-Lago with David and Trump got up when he realized that we were married and he's turned to Melania and he's like, oh man, it's so great.
These two guys are gay and they're married.
And then he looks at me and he goes, the only problem, you know what your, he goes, this is exactly what he said.
He goes, you know what your problem is?
Your problem is you could have any chick you want, but you want this guy.
And it was with laughter in his face and love and nothing other than that.
And Melania is great.
Melania hosts these Log Cabin, that's like the gay Republican thing, at Mar-a-Lago.
These fundraisers all the time.
Rick Grinnell, who's in as close, tight-knit Trump quarters as you can get, was acting chief of intelligence.
What was Rick Grinnell's exact title?
Well, he was ambassador to Germany, but then Trump brought him as intelligence?
No, what was it?
We'll get it in one second.
But Rick Grinnell gave a talk at the Republican National Convention last night and he went up there and he said, Donald Trump doesn't care if you're gay or straight, black or white, Jew or Christian, blah, blah, blah.
And I really fundamentally believe that's true.
Grinnell was acting director of national intelligence in Trump's cabinet. And also let's not forget in 2015 before it was at
the convention right now so the 2015 convention when they were nominating
Trump Peter Thiel went up and gave a speech and at the Republican National
Convention and said I'm a proud gay man and he
and he got a standing ovation.
And I've discussed that with him publicly and privately.
He was nervous.
He had no idea what was gonna happen.
He didn't know if he was gonna get booed or anything else.
So there has been a massive shift here, right?
Donald Trump is also the first president in the history of the United States
to be in favor of gay marriage all throughout his term.
Barack Obama wasn't even.
So I think the proof is in the pudding.
I would say to your son, go down to South Beach.
The gays are doing just fine in Miami.
So the don't say gay thing, that was nonsense too.
If you're gay, or if you're any minority, what you would want is the government to just be off your back.
If you're gay, go live.
You want to live on a farm with your husband and have a gun?
That's just fine.
You don't have to just be in the bubble of the big blue city and that thing, because over time that won't be good for you either, right?
Because there's a real crazy alliance happening on the left between the Islamists and the leftists, and you know which side gets beheaded.
Jilly says, Dave, watched you and Adam's chat.
Which Adam?
Oh, Adam Carolla.
Love you both.
Can't get past Adam's comment about how some people, even some of whom we love, just can't see the evil on the other side or the manipulation by the press.
What are they afraid of, really?
Afraid to be called a Republican.
Yeah, it's...
Similar to that previous question, but if you didn't see the interview with Corolla, the full things on his channel, we posted a portion of it, but we were really getting into that because Adam Corolla and I, like neither one of us would be thought of 10 years ago as people that have to vote for Republicans.
And yet the world we live in, we have to vote for Republicans.
It's just freaking obvious.
I think that they did it.
They did a hell of a trick.
It goes back to that Nazi thing.
When they went full on, everyone's a racist but me, everyone's a Nazi but me, that guy's Hitler, it puts so many people in a box.
And then the really complex part of that, I always said this, even years ago you can find me saying this, it wasn't what you were doing to them.
It's not what you're doing to the people that you're calling Nazis who are actually not Nazis.
It's what you're doing to yourself because you're painting yourself into a corner.
The day you realize that they're not Nazis, you are in a tough bind right now because then you go, oh shit.
I've been calling most people Nazis, and then you suddenly realize if they're not, and you might be on their side, or you might see their point of view, you now know what your side is about to do with you.
And that's why everyone who leaves the left has an incredible story to tell.
And it's not just me, it's everyone that does it, because you then are the victim of perhaps the thing that you were part of.
And that is the self-hostage situation that they have put so many people into.
And we just got to help people get over it.
And by the way, I think the culture really is shifting right now.
And I think people are getting over it.
All right, guys, that is the Q&A for today.
My full interview with Bill Maher.
You can watch me smoke a joint backwards, which.
I'm not a Bill Maher-level pot smoker.
I was doing the best I could, but that does happen, and we talk politics and life and a whole bunch more.
That's up across platforms right now.
We do have a post-game show today, right?
Yes, post-game show in moments, rubinreport.locals.com.
Oh, and we leave you with some interesting stuff on Barron Trump.
Watch this.
unidentified
I like my suitcase.
I have to go to school now.
Yeah, you will have lunch, and then you go to school.
Now I'm gonna go.
Yeah, first you will have lunch, and then you go to school.
Now you can do reading, writing, and arithmetic.
Give me a kiss goodbye.
Goodbye.
I want all A's.
Okay.
dave rubin
And when you get older, what are you going to remember?
unidentified
No drugs, no alcohol, no cigarettes.
And you know what else?
No tattoos.
