| Okay, we are going to give you a community Q&A, but I do want to do a couple things up top, because the House did impeach that Mayorkas guy by one vote yesterday, but I want to start really with Jon Stewart returning to The Daily Show. | ||
| So, we talked briefly about this a couple days ago, but Jon Stewart, who hosted The Daily Show, For about 20 years and the meme around Jon Stewart always and The Daily Show was that more young people get their news from Jon Stewart than from anywhere else and people were very excited about that because he was a lefty, he was always calling Donald Trump and the Republicans racist and all that. | ||
| Full disclosure, I interned at The Daily Show in 1999. | ||
| It was only a few months after John took over. | ||
| Craig Kilbourne from ESPN was the host of the original Daily Show. | ||
| The show was very different under John. | ||
| There was a lot of turnover there because they were getting rid of writers and everything else. | ||
| But at the beginning, when I was there in 99, it was like they didn't even know if the show was going to last a season. | ||
| It was not the institution that The Daily Show became. | ||
| In any event, it became a huge, huge cultural phenomenon. | ||
| Obviously, I had a couple nice interactions with John, so I'm not gonna attack him personally or anything else. | ||
| But over the years, it kind of went more left and more left and more left and more left. | ||
| He stepped down around 2016, so around right when the first Trump presidency was going. | ||
| They've handed it to a couple people. | ||
| Since then, Trevor Noah was the main one. | ||
| It just has no relevance anymore, right? | ||
| So over the last couple, two years, they've had all these guest hosts. | ||
| Nothing's really going on with it, but they're finally bringing John back. | ||
| And I am mentioning this because I think this is sort of a bellwether moment for how the media and how the machine works. | ||
| You guys remember, what, it was about two years ago when Jon Stewart went on The Colbert Show, and Colbert used to be a Daily Show correspondent under Jon Stewart, interestingly. | ||
| He went on The Colbert Show and said that it might be a Wuhan lab leak, right, because it was the Wuhan lab of virology and blah blah, and then suddenly mainstream the next day Everyone in mainstream suddenly could say that the Wuhan leak might have come from a lab, that COVID might have come from a lab. | ||
| So the media uses certain people and certain shows as kind of airlocks for ideas. | ||
| And I think Jon Stewart is one of those people. | ||
| It just kind of is what it is. | ||
| So anyway, Jon came back. | ||
| It's no longer there. | ||
| They're continuing to call it The Daily Show, but they know people aren't going to really watch it and it's not going to be profitable. | ||
| And he just had a massive failure of a show on Apple TV. | ||
| I think he was making around 15 mil a year for this show that nobody watched. | ||
| And we showed you a couple of clips of it where he went all in on the trans stuff | ||
| and the woke stuff and everything else. | ||
| Anyway, they're bringing the show back. | ||
| It's no longer a daily show. | ||
| It is a weekly show called The Daily Show. | ||
| And it's very clear to me by the first episode, his first monologue on the show, | ||
| They've brought him back so that they can start showing Joe Biden the door Last week obviously Thursday night. | ||
| That was there was the disastrous press conference This idea that Biden is not right in the head is now proliferating throughout mainstream It's finally bubbling up out of the internet into mainstream and John is now there to do it so I just want to show you two clips from this thing and Here's Jon Stewart going after Biden pretty hard on mental acuity and just how everyone is defending this guy when it really at this point is undefensible. | ||
| Now, Democrats will say that any criticism like this, especially of Biden, is unfair because you just don't know Biden like they know Biden. | ||

| Because if you're telling us behind the scenes, he is sharp and full of energy and on top of it and really | ||
| in control and leading, you should film that. | ||

| So the point is, now there's a whole bunch of people running cover for Biden, but you have to understand, this was the first episode of the return of Jon Stewart, and they went out of their way, not just to do all the low-hanging stuff and go after Trump and the racist Republicans and all of that stuff, which we'll get to that in just a second, But to go after Biden first. | ||
| So what I am trying to lay out here is that the machine is showing you. | ||
| Sometimes, what do I always say? | ||
| Truth is a time-release pill. | ||
| Sometimes the machine shows you how it's going to start operating, and it's going to start operating by taking out both Biden and Trump. | ||
| So here's Stewart doing more of the easy stuff, which is just going after Trump. | ||
| Look, Joe Biden isn't Donald Trump. | ||
| He hasn't been indicted as many times, hasn't had as many fraudulent businesses, or been convicted in a civil trial for sexual assault, or been ordered to pay defamation, had his charities disbanded, or stiffed a shit-ton of blue-collar tradesmen he'd hired. | ||
| Should we even get to the grab-the-pussy stuff? | ||
| Probably not. | ||
| The stakes of this election don't make Donald Trump's opponent less subject to scrutiny. | ||
| It actually makes him more subject to scrutiny. | ||
| If the barbarians are at the gate, you want Conan standing on the ramparts, not And so there's something interesting happening here, right? | ||
| You gotta understand, this is produced by Viacom, which owns CBS. | ||
| They've brought this guy back. | ||
| This is not just randomly we're deciding what to talk about on episode one of The Return. | ||
| They're going after Biden, in a weird way, more than they're going after Trump. | ||
| Now, I have no doubt that he's gonna continue to go after Trump, and all the little jokes, all of that's just fine, right? | ||
| You go after anybody. | ||
| But what the genesis, what the real meat of this thing is, is that they are he is making it okay for now good liberals to start going after Joe Biden because they know that they basically now got till August to figure out how to get rid of him so that they can do some delegate move at the convention if Biden even makes it that long and who knows if he will now interestingly because John did kind of | ||
| I call it fair there to some degree by going after both of them. | ||
| The mainstream media is not that thrilled with him because he's supposed to just carry water for the Dems. | ||

| Liberals are not laughing about Jon Stewart's jabs at Joe Biden. | ||
| Democrats who only remember the Daily Show host as a fierce critic of conservatives had a rude awakening on the return to his program. | ||
| And I just want to follow up with one tweet that I had about it, because I just, this is the part, if you screenshot something from today's show, To show to a friend that's a little behind on where things are at. | ||
| I really think this is what time it is. | ||
| The system is pushing out Jon Stewart to frame the new narrative. | ||
| It's not that Joe Biden is senile. | ||
| It's that he and Donald Trump are too old. | ||
| Two birds with one stone. | ||
| Now watch as this is pushed across mainstream media non-stop. | ||
| So I really think that is the key part of all of this. | ||
| That they will not really make this about Joe Biden's senility anymore. | ||
| It'll just start being that he's too old. | ||
| And by the way, Donald Trump's only four years younger and he's too old and he fudges things sometimes too. | ||
| And by the way, there is a lot of truth to that. | ||
| It would be nice if we had a president that, I don't know, say was 45 to maybe 65? | ||
| Wouldn't that be refreshing? | ||
| Maybe had younger children? | ||
| Had a little more skin in the game? | ||
| Hadn't been part of the swamp or part of the machine for decades and decades? | ||
| That is all true, but I'm just showing you how the new meme is going to operate throughout the system. | ||
| And I think, in a weird way, they are going to sacrifice Joe Biden at the altar of getting rid of Trump. | ||
| They're gonna try to figure out, they obviously have plans to figure out how to get rid of Trump and delay Trump in the trials, removing him from ballots, but Biden may be the one to pay the price. | ||
| So he's dead man walking one way or another with these guys. | ||
| But the point is they can't hide it anymore. | ||
| I think that's really what's going on here. | ||
| The confusions, the muttering, the stammering, the wandering off. | ||
| So he gave this speech with the king of Jordan. | ||
| And just like, watch this and tell me this gives you any confidence in the president, the office of the presidency, the executive branch, the United States, any of it, please! | ||

John Heilman, we've seen examples over and over again of Donald Trump just losing it on stage here. | |
| And you had the whole political world come to a stop. | ||
| First of all, because for some reason you had the guy, the special counsel asking, hey, what year did your son die? | ||

| And this was the most damning thing. | ||
| I said this yesterday, and maybe, I don't know, maybe it's just older people. | ||
| We've lived a busy and active life, but nobody's closer to me, nobody's been closer to me in my life other than my mom. | ||
| If somebody asks me in the middle of a deposition, what year did your mom die? | ||
| I go, I don't know, 2017, 2018, 2019. | ||

| Ugh, it's actually gross listening to him. | ||
| First off, I'll just start with when he says Scarborough, oh, by the way, the guy he's talking to, John Heilman there, that's the guy who was on Real Time with Bill Maher when Russell Brand just like absolutely annihilated him and said that MSNBC lies as much as Fox and you guys are all part of it and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. | ||

| Anyway, Joe Scarborough starts by saying that we've all seen Donald Trump lose it on stage. | ||
| He jokes around on stage, he says silly things, he goes off-prompter and everything else. | ||
| We haven't seen him completely, have no idea where he is. | ||
| Yeah, he's screwed up a name every now and again or anything else, but we all just know these things are not equal. | ||
| Yes, they are both kind of old, 77 Donald Trump, 81 Joe Biden, but the mental acuity, it's just not on the same plane. | ||
| That's number one. | ||
| Number two, this dismissiveness of knowing when his son died or the years around these things. | ||
| Fortunately, my parents are still here, but I remember when all of my grandparents I remember in 1983, because I know I was in second grade | ||
| when my grandpa already died. | ||
| I remember that. | ||
| I remember hearing it. | ||
| I remember when my second grade teacher gave me a card. | ||
| I remember when my great grandma, Lily, died in 1995, because I was at her apartment for the last time, | ||
| thinking it was gonna be the last time. | ||
| And then it was the NBA playoffs that year. | ||
| And I was watching the Rockets versus the Suns. | ||
| Like you remember certain things for certain reasons. | ||
| Like, anyway, you guys all get all that. | ||
| But the point is, why is he running this ridiculous cover? | ||
| He doesn't remember when his mother died. | ||
| It was 2017, 2018. | ||
| That's when you're in the news. | ||
| Like, your whole life is organized by events. | ||
| Like, you should have particular reason to know why. | ||
| Anyway, let's put all of that aside for just one moment and talk about the border real quick, because there was a huge moment last night, because Mayorkas, Has been impeached. | ||

| The US House of Representatives votes to impeach Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas for failing at his duty to secure the southern border. | ||
| The vote was 214 to 213 with three Republicans voting against. | ||
| Remember their names, Mike Gallagher of Wisconsin, Tom McClintock of California, Ken Buck of Colorado. | ||
| So look, we will see, this will get to the Senate. | ||
| We'll see what happens in the Senate. | ||
| He probably doesn't get hit by the Senate. | ||
| The Senate, which is almost in a complete deadlock, but of course Kamala Harris would have a tying vote anyway. | ||
| So nothing probably happens out of this. | ||
| Mayorkas has been an absolutely disastrous ahead of the Department of Homeland Security. | ||
| He, for months and months and months, told us that there was no emergency. | ||
| Now they're admitting that there is an emergency, but they're blaming it on Trump, | ||
| the constant lying and obfuscation of what's going on. | ||
| You know, I guess if I was to have any sympathy with the guy, it's that he's just doing | ||
| what he's being instructed to do. | ||
| Of course, that's what the Nazis did too. | ||
| Well, I was just doing what I was told to do. | ||
| So you get it, you get it. | ||
| It's good that it's finally bubbling up a bit more, the incompetence around the border, and it's good that people are waking up to it and realizing that that one party is a bit at least more at fault than the other party. | ||

| went down to the border and talked to a border agent about what's going on and how Biden intentionally started doing this on day one. | ||

| If he wants to make the move, RFK, I'm telling you right now, if the move is you take over the Libertarian Party, you get on all 50 ballots, let's see what happens there. | ||
| He's not a Democrat because he cares about the country anymore, and he sees the radicalism of the Democrats. | ||
| But of course, because the Democrats have the media behind them, they can go on television shows and lie about who the real radicals are. | ||

| While I understand that you find the maneuver offensive, do you not see that the move by Governor Abbott of Texas to bus migrants to democratic-leaning cities such as New York or Chicago or Denver that, while you might think it's cruel, it has been effective at demonstrating how this influx of migrants has sapped social service resources and demonstrated that this is a real crisis. | ||

| Well, Governor Abbott is an embarrassment and a human trafficker. | ||
| But besides his political gamesmanship, I do think it's important for all of us, Democrats and Republicans, to recognize that we have a broken immigration system. | ||
| We do need to address the challenges at the border, and it should be done in a manner that is comprehensive and bipartisan. | ||
| That will be the only way to solve this problem. | ||
| We're in a period of divided government. | ||

| It was one, in large part, one of the areas that really helped Lee Zeldin get as close to Hochul as possible. | ||

I heard from voters that they were very, now these are obviously very well informed voters, but they were at the polling station, they were voting early, and several of them said to me that they don't want to vote for the Republican because It's clearly impossible to get a solution on the issue of immigration. | |
| They said border, the border problem, the immigration issue, the migrant issue in their district was the top issue for them. | ||
| And that the fact that Republicans killed that bipartisan deal put them over the edge to vote for Tom Suozzi. | ||
| And immigration was their top issue. | ||
| OK, so Tom Swasey is the Democrat who was a congressman from Long Island like a decade ago who now has won again. | ||
| But the reason I'm showing you that clip is this is exactly what I was talking about last week when we were in D.C. | ||
| The bipartisan deal, which failed, which was a horrible deal because we have all of the laws in place to close the border and everything else. | ||
| It was fairly obvious to me that the fight really was not about the bipartisan deal. | ||
| The fight was about how it was going to be framed after, and whether Dana Bash just made that up or not, whether she actually talked to people who said that or not, is a moot point. | ||
| You can see how they're framing it, sort of like the Jon Stewart thing. | ||
| The framing is, oh, you see, the Republicans didn't sign on to that bipartisan deal, and that's why I'm not gonna vote for Republicans, so Republicans really are the bad guys. | ||
| And as I said last weekend, you can put a pin in this. | ||
| When something horrible happens, something unspeakable related to terrorism or a shooting or whatever because it's an illegal immigrant that does this before the election, the meme is out there already. | ||
| It will be the exact same thing Dana Bash just said right there. | ||
| You know, the Democrats did want to do something about the border. | ||
| They had a bipartisan deal and you guys impeached Mayorkas and you didn't sign the bipartisan deal. | ||
| So it's your fault, Republicans. | ||
| So it's just another one of those things where I think knowing how the media operates and how the narrative is crafted, that's just like something that will help keep you sane. | ||

| Look, as for the college thing, you just don't need to send your kids to college. | ||
| But having that conversation, as I'm sure you're having with your kids right now, where it's like all their friends are going, they want the years of partying and experimenting and craziness and all that. | ||

| So what I would rather do is set some money aside over the years, hopefully we do as much right as we possibly can in the next 16 or so years, and then when they're out of high school, maybe you can help them travel for a little bit so they get that kind of on their own experience, or just take a year, live in New York City, get an odd job, but we'll help you with the apartment, not New York City, I wouldn't even want to send them to New York, but you get the point. | ||

| We've already got a bunch of citrus, and we've got papayas, and we've got an awesome avocado tree that's like a hundred-year-old tree that we've had to restore and feed a lot and do a lot of trimming on because It was kind of left in disrepair. | ||
| We've got a lot of mangoes down here, so we have a great mango tree. | ||
| Mostly I want to do lettuces. | ||
| The kids love strawberries. | ||
