Ron Paul Liberty Report - Weekly Report: Stuck in Another Disastrous Middle East War Aired: 2026-03-02 Duration: 05:09 === Pre-Planned Attack Week (04:37) === [00:00:01] Hello, everybody, and thank you for tuning in to the weekly report, Stuck in Another Disastrous Middle East War. [00:00:11] Unfortunately, President Trump listened to the neocons and Benjamin Netyahoo instead of his MAGA base and other voices of caution as he launched a surprise attack on Iran over the weekend. [00:00:30] For the second time in nine months, the U.S. administration used negotiations with Iran as a cover to launch a pre-planned attack. [00:00:42] Last week's talks produced progress, according to all sides, with technical teams set to meet this week to work out the details. [00:00:53] President Trump, however, suddenly announced that he was not happy with the talks because the Iranian side refused to say the magic words that they would not pursue a nuclear weapon. [00:01:08] But Iran has been insisting for decades that they have no interest in producing a nuclear weapon, and our own intelligence has confirmed that they are not doing so. [00:01:22] Shortly after President Trump's announcement, the U.S. and Israel launched their attack, killing Iran's religious leader along with some 40 other political and military leaders in a decapitation strike. [00:01:40] It was supposed to be like the Venezuela operation, quick and painless for the U.S. Kill the leadership and the long-suffering people would take to the streets and claim their country. [00:01:55] It may make a good plot for a Hollywood movie, but in real life, these regime changes operations have never worked. [00:02:05] Millions did take to the streets in Iran, but it was to mourn the slain Nayatolla and to reaffirm support for their government. [00:02:16] Just like we rallied around the flag after the attacks on 9-11. [00:02:22] Quickly, Iranian retaliation for the attacks began to take their toll on U.S. assets and Israel. [00:02:31] U.S. soldiers have been killed and U.S. fighter jets have been shot down. [00:02:37] U.S. bases in the region are either damaged or destroyed. [00:02:42] Likewise, U.S. embassies and consulates have come under attack, including by Iraqi, likely still furious over the U.S. destruction of their country 20 years ago. [00:02:56] And with the Pentagon warning that the operation may go weeks ahead of days, we are quickly running out of missiles. [00:03:06] Billions of dollars have already been spent on this unprovoked attack. [00:03:11] And when the smoke clears, if it does, we may see hundreds of billions or dollars, maybe much more, having been wasted on yet another Middle East war. [00:03:25] Just what President Trump promised he would not do. [00:03:30] The neocon cakewalk crowd, including Lindsey Graham and others, have been proven wrong again. [00:03:39] Tragically, more American service members may die while the neocons blame someone else for the fiasco they helped launch. [00:03:51] Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Nanyahu said of the U.S.-Israeli attack that this combination of forces enables us to do what I have longed to do for 40 years. [00:04:06] But the purpose of the U.S. military is not to fulfill the decades-old wishes of foreign leaders. [00:04:13] There is a good reason we have a constitution that says only Congress can declare war. [00:04:21] Launching a military strike during negotiations will have lasting negative effects for the United States. [00:04:29] Who would ever trust the U.S. diplomacy again if talks are used as a distraction for the pre-planned attacks? === Best Spin on Disaster (00:30) === [00:04:39] The administration is doing its best to spin this unfolding disaster as all going according to plan. [00:04:48] But what is the plan? [00:04:50] No one knows. [00:04:52] Do they know? [00:04:54] Here's a plan. [00:04:56] End this today. [00:04:58] Return the destroyed U.S. bases to the countries where they are located. [00:05:03] And just come home. [00:05:05] That is what a real American first movement looks like.
