Empire Mania Trump Wants $1 5 Trillion Military Budget

Trump/Vance was presented as "the peace ticket," and was voted in with the expectation of focusing on America instead of the rest of the world. But alas, the addiction to Empire has proven to be too strong once again. The Trump Administration has been laser-focused on foreign nations, while our own nation continues to struggle quite substantially. Yesterday, the president even proposed a $1.5 TRILLION military budget. Are we reaching the mania phase, or what market traders call the "blowoff top" of Empire?

Hello, everybody, and thank you for tuning into the Liberty Report.
Sorry for the laryngitis, but I still feel like I have something important to say.
And of course, we have a very good co-host today, and that's Chris Rossini.
And we have a program planned here, and we're going to get started.
Chris, welcome to the program.
Great to be with you, Dr. Paul.
You know, I wanted to introduce the program.
I'm a little bit disappointed with myself and my boys, because I think this is a very important summation of what's going on in the world.
And it has a lot to do with the big trend.
To me, it's the big trend of what we call corporatism and crony capitalism that if you're not careful could lead to something called fascism.
But you can't say that because then they will think you're radical or something like that.
But we have it.
And unfortunately, we have an administration that is getting more neoconservative every day when it's in foreign policy.
And we also have an economic policy, which is not free markets as we were told it would be like.
And the one thing that you can look for, whether you're dealing with gold or whatever, to have an idea which direction we're going, look at the deficit.
What's happening to the deficit?
Well, it's going up, up, up, up.
And yesterday, and the news item came out, and it's a shame, but it's not overly shocking that, oh, yeah, we never dreamed this could happen.
Here's the headline.
Trump says he wants a $1.5 trillion military budget.
You say, well, what was it last year?
Well, maybe it was $2 trillion as he's reducing it.
No, it just made the $1 million mark.
And he's already talking about a 50% increase.
And all we've done, of course, with Dan and I, we have spent a lot of time talking about our militarism around the world, which is characteristic of crony capitalism and having big budgets and military budgets.
So that is all out there.
And it doesn't look like it's changing.
But we do want to spend some time today on emphasizing this because, you know, pretty soon it's going to be a lot of money.
But this is astounding, a $500 billion, $1.5 trillion.
And we can't buy it.
And just the interest that we pay, people say, oh, that's the amount of money that they're going to spend.
No, that's the money they're going to borrow.
And it's going to be the punishment and the harm will be placed on the middle class because they won't have the money.
Nobody's going to loan all of a sudden another $5 trillion or $1.5 trillion because the people are, they don't have the money and they're not going to do it.
So the trillions, this is, so what do they do?
They have a trick.
It's a trick.
And it really blossomed out in 1971 when it was decided by Nixon.
Oh, don't have any restraints whatsoever on printing money because the people, the people won't know.
They'll blame something else and they'll just march along.
Hopefully, there are signs now that people are waking up and I say, why are we spending so much money in Ukraine?
And we're starving people here in the United States.
Well, I would like to see us say that same thing, but say, why don't we leave it in the pockets of the people?
But what we do, we use a snister tax, which is the inflation tax.
We print the money, devalue the currency.
So we double the purchasing numbers, but not the purchasing power.
The purchasing power goes down.
It was a record last year of a six-month period of the weakness of the dollar.
But the best test of the dollar and what's going on is the person who does this grocery shopping.
And they find out, boy, that bag got filled off awful fast.
And yet, there's a reason for this.
Why Birch Gold Attracts 00:02:42
It's understandable.
It could be stopped.
But so far, if you have a budget like this that we have, you borrow the money, but then you have to pay the interest on the money.
So it's on and on.
And that's where the problem is.
And people become addicted to it.
Because right now, you know, I would have to admit very strongly that President Trump is being well received for his program.
There's no indication.
Some people are saying, hey, is it enough enough?
You know, all this spending and all these wars that we're getting into.
And what we're doing in the Middle East, Ukraine, Venezuela.
Oh, yes, we have now under our control 300 million of barrels of oil.
So it's a terrible situation.
And the people, the majority of people, are still saying, go, go, go.
But Chris, I think there's an endpoint to this.
And I think you make a few good, very good points on the limitations of this type of policy.
Very good, Dr. Paul.
Yes, before I get into my first comment, I do want to do a quick introduction on something new from Birch Gold.
Our longtime viewers know that we have a partnership with Birch Gold Group.
They're a great company.
And they just put together a nice little book.
It's called Dispatches to Future Generations.
And it contains personal experiences from Dr. Paul working in Washington for like 40 years.
How he did it, who knows how he made it through, but he did it.
And you'll read some stories, you know, even when he was a doctor that you haven't read before.
I haven't even heard of some of them.
So you can get a free copy of this nice little book and a free copy of Birch Gold's information kit.
If you're interested in gold, which a lot of people are these days and for good reason, you can get some information on where you can start.
And there's no obligation to buy anything, become a customer of Birch.
It's just to get free information and this nice little book by Ron Paul.
To get this, please text, go to your phone and text Ron to the number 989898.
And Birch will get in contact with you through text and you can go from there.
So again, text Ron to 989898 and you'll get the dispatches to future generations and an info kit on how to start investing in gold if you'd like.
Getting back to the show.
Free Gold Information Kit 00:15:48
Yeah, Dr. Paul, you know, Trump Vance was supposed to be the peace ticket.
That's how they marketed themselves.
Americans loved it.
I loved it too.
You know, they were going to stop the endless war nonsense.
We are now in year two.
It has been constant war from day one.
Not war that's come to us.
Nobody's coming to get us.
Nobody's hiding under our beds from China or Iran or anywhere else.
It has been the continued U.S. invasion of the world.
And that's what it has been.
And what a very big disappointment that has been.
And they're trying to gaslight everyone.
I guess it works on some people that he's the peace president.
They're fighting over peace prices.
You know, it's crazy, but it really feels like instead of Trump Vance, we got Netanyahu Graham, Lindsey Graham.
That's who it feels like we've been elected.
Netanyahu was here five times, a record.
You know, it seems every other month he's here.
And President Trump is, you know, hanging out with Lindsey Graham.
They were just holding a hat together.
Make Iran great again.
What, again, disappointment.
They want to primary Thomas Massey.
Marjorie Taylor Greene left.
She's out.
Her last day already is behind her.
So Make America Great Again is out too.
And we're hearing really crazy things.
We're going to fix Venezuela from the president.
We're going to, yesterday, Senator Rick Scott doesn't stop there.
We're going to fix Cuba and Nicaragua and Colombia too.
We're going to fix all of these nations as our own nation crumbles to pieces.
If you look beyond the propaganda that everything is, that we're living in a golden age.
So it's really empire mania that we're living in.
And, you know, people that are in the markets, they know about this.
It's called a blow-off top.
That's when there is this surge, this last surge of buying at the very end, where, you know, all rationality is thrown out, all financial, you know, fundamentals are gone.
Nothing matters.
Just buy, buy, buy.
It feels like that for the empire.
It's like they're throwing this one last pass, hoping that somebody in the end zone catches it.
And, you know, once the blow-off top occurs in any market, that's it.
That's the end.
Now, are we there?
I don't know.
There's too many variables.
But that's what it feels like these days, that it's just all empire all the time.
You have heard a lot now lately about Greenland.
And the president has success suggested that we take Greenland and make it part of the United States.
Well, that is so bizarre.
I said, that can't be possible.
He's not serious, but it keeps coming up and keeping up.
And I thought, well, maybe what we ought to do is propose something to the American people who are excited about this.
I said, if you want Greenland so bad, why don't we make them a trade?
Why don't we find one of our states?
Maybe, you know, who knows which one you want to trade?
Or maybe Puerto Rico just say, well, you know, we'll take Greenland.
We'll give you one of our states.
And it would be so absurd.
They'll say, oh, well, that's what it would be like.
We'd have to give up something, but to give up for a country much smaller than ours to give up Greenland.
Nobody thinks, oh, this is no big deal, but it is a big deal.
And I, quite frankly, think it's rather sizzy, dizzy, and silly because I don't know what the goal should be.
But anyway, there's two ways of looking at our problems.
One is the short runs of what's happening with inflation, over-regulation, interest rates, and housing and the whole works.
But then there's the other part on what is the long term of what is happening.
And I say that what we have, we're embedded with corporatism and also crony capitalism.
And most people, you know, know about it.
And most people, you know, detest crony capitalism.
Sounds like they're getting special deal.
And I will talk in that tone, too, because the corporations do have a lot of clout and they get special interests.
They're good lobbyists.
There's military industrial complex.
There's pharmaceutical industrial complex.
So that is all very real.
But Mises talked about the long term of this that once you combine business interests, corporate interests with the government, things go downhill because everything becomes excessive and real growth ceases to grow.
And I think that's what we're facing now.
We're having a major problem.
So, but Mises says that if you pursue this thing of the combination of big business and the government, it gets very inefficient.
The people become angry and then they resort to militarism.
Oh, have we heard about that?
Do we spend too much money on weaponry?
And he says, it's a big industry, and a lot of rich people get richer over this.
So that is just Mises' argument should be something to awaken the people because what he says, if you keep doing this, and then you can't divide the loot evenly, people get angry and they fight over it.
And then the corporatism becomes a fascist system.
And that's what's happened in the past.
That's why when you look at history and say, how could the people have gone along with this system?
How did they?
Why didn't they know that there was going to be a dictator?
It was going to be a fascist dictator.
And yet they do it because it seems to be working on the short run.
And they don't know.
Nobody wants to give up anything.
So they keep doing it.
And Mises says, though, if you don't stop it, which we should, and we do our best to get the people to agree with us to stop this nonsense, I would say that this means that we're going to continue this way.
And the signs of militancy, we have a lot more militancy, even domestically, in our court system.
And also, just looking at how many places we are in over the world.
But we've been doing that a long time, but it's a little bit different now because it's much more, it's much more militant and military.
We're going to take this, we're going to take this.
And it's not going to work.
The cost will be liberties here at home and the economic system that we have enjoyed over many years.
And I think that's a good reason for people to wake up and take a look at what's really happening right now.
Right, Dr. Paul.
And as you mentioned earlier, President Trump was the first one to hit the 1 trillion military budget and wants to increase it to 1.5 trillion.
And everybody knows that this is such waste.
We all know that they don't pass audits.
We talk about daycares, daycares, daycares.
That's bad.
Of course, it's bad.
It's wrong.
All the waste and the fraud.
Like, you want to, that's peanuts.
This is the big leagues here when they're when you're when you're they're just milking us for trillions of dollars, you know, and they're misallocating resources.
And then as Dr. Paul says, they want to buy another, they want to buy Greenland.
How could you be 38 trillion in debt and want to buy anything?
You don't have anything.
And you know, people know it.
They know they're like, you know, the interest on this debt is going to consume us at some point.
We're not going to be able to do it.
That's it.
That doesn't seem to matter.
Let's go buy Greenland.
And all of this doesn't happen in a vacuum.
The American people pay.
We pay for it.
I read from Bloomberg: the number of people holding multiple jobs is at an all-time high in America at 9.3 million.
It's an all-time high to have more than one job.
One doesn't cut it.
My grandparents, my parents, one income was it.
That's all you needed.
You sent people to college.
You raised a family on one income.
Now you need multiple jobs.
Also from Bloomberg, mom and pop business bankruptcies hit a record a few months ago.
If that wasn't what made America great again and what people were expecting, you know, get off our backs so we can produce and serve our communities.
Mom and pop businesses, you know, record number of bankruptcies.
Americans are falling behind on car loans, credit, personal loans.
We're like the government, you know, we mimic the government.
They can't pay their bills.
We can't pay our bills.
So is this the time to be going to 1.5 trillion waste on military?
You know, we need a military, of course, but not this.
You know, we could defend ourselves on a fraction.
Again, nobody's coming to get us.
And we, but, you know, they're addicted.
And the people that are addicted to this lifestyle do not want to stop and they just want to keep going.
And we're paying a very big price for it.
You know, there's a news item that I want to mention.
And that has to do with who's going to take care of the oil.
It's a lot of oil.
The country that has the most oil ever is Venezuela.
But Trump has volunteered.
He would take care of this.
But there's other people who want to compete for this and there will be.
So even though it sounds like smooth sailing, that we're going to have cheap oil and our oil companies are going to be able to manage this thing.
Who knows what's going to happen?
I say it's all unknown yet.
And but this headline says Trump's Tam, a team works for sweeping plan to control Venezuela oil for years to come.
Well, he's making a prediction.
He's made predictions before.
But I don't think that we have the answer.
Just think of how many wars in the last 50 years that we've been involved in.
Oh, this is going to be short.
This is a little police action.
This is a little activity.
We need to get their oil.
We can do that on a couple.
That's all that nonsense.
And they still do that no matter what.
They come across with this optimism.
This is a little war and it's going to benefit us.
And we don't have to pay.
We don't have to worry about it.
We don't have to tax the people.
We're just going to pay for the war with the gas and oil.
You know, that's what they said about the Middle East.
And there's a lot of oil there.
It wasn't like they didn't have enough, but it never worked.
It never worked.
We never ended up getting our bills paid because we stole their oil.
So this thing is really deceptive.
And people think, well, it does sound like a good idea.
And besides, didn't Venezuela steal oil from us?
Well, I don't know what exactly they're talking about, but I know we still Couple big vessels filled with oil, and we took them, and we haven't given their oil back again.
So, that's a lot of hyperbole.
And it goes on and on, trying to mold the people's attitude about why we have to do all this.
But I think the American people will realize and are starting to realize that the worse the conditions get, the more they lie about what's going on going on.
And so, an empire needs the lies to perpetuate their myth.
And that's ongoing.
So, there's a lot, a lot of lying told, and to make sure that they can continue to increase the spending, increase the printing of money, increasing the confiscation of land around the world.
But let me tell you, I don't think you have to be a genius to say, be careful.
It just might not work out the way we're being told, Chris.
Very good, Dr. Paul.
I will finish up with my last thought.
Yes, unfortunately, as bad as the politicians are, and they honestly couldn't be much worse, minus a small handful, maybe you could count them on one hand out of 500.
The American public is still doesn't get it, still, after all the lies of all the wars in the Middle East and COVID and everything else, still far too trusting of the government and their propaganda.
They bamboozled, even with the Venezuela, far too many people were, you know, thought that America was doing something great here.
And then you find out later, oh, yeah, we made up, you know, there is no cartel.
He's not ahead of a cartel.
You know, they're dropping that, you know, because they know that they can make up a story, lie to you, do what they want, and then afterwards, nothing's going to happen.
You know, but the public has to stop falling for it.
It's just not happening.
You know, and it's left and it's right.
It's both.
You know, the right is not immune to it.
They're, you know, they're just as easily fooled as the people on the left.
You know, and it's just going to continue if you don't do that.
And I kind of get it because, you know, in our normal lives, it's normal to be trusting.
You know, nobody in my day today, when I go out, even if I go to stores, are going to be just telling me these crazy lies.
People are in general, with exceptions here and there, honest, but the politicians are not.
And they've shown us this over and over to the point where it's almost like they can say, why do you keep trusting us?
We're just lying to you, but they do it.
And the American public falls for it.
The American public pays for it.
I just said what's happening to us.
And, you know, unless that changes, and maybe it doesn't change, maybe they just go bankrupt and the public never learns.
Who knows how this ends.
But for the few that are listening to the show, always assume the government's lying to you.
You'll rarely be wrong.
Maybe here and there they'll tell a nugget of truth, but that's what they are.
They are an empire of lies.
Dr. Paul called it a long time ago, you know, and truth is treason in this empire of lies.
So, you know, even if just a few people get it and stop trusting these liars, we'll be better off.
I believe it.
I believe that so sincerely, because they get you to the point where if you challenge it on principles, constitutional moral principle, you're still treasonous.
They take us, we can look at what they've done into Congress.
So the sort of the very best people in the House and Senate, you know, They're the outcasts and they're the closest ones to a moral standard as well as the constitutional standard.
People Need To Wake Up 00:00:28
So that's one place where the people should wake up about trying to evaluate this.
Anyway, we do our best to get the information out because it's very important that people continue to spread the message of liberty because I work on the idea that that is the most we can do and the most important thing we can do to preserve our liberties.
I want to thank everybody for tuning in today to the Liberty Report.
