A Week Filled With Terrible Decisions By President Trump
This week, President Trump delivered shocking blows to his loyal supporters. After promising to get out of Biden's failed Ukraine war "on day one," we are now 6 months into Trump's presidency and he's continuing to arm Ukraine. Trump is turning Biden's failed war into his very own failed war. The Trump Administration also gave "full approval" for Moderna's Covid jabs for children 6 months and older. President Trump endorsed Lindsey Graham for re-election saying Lindsey "is always there when I need him." Meanwhile, the President wants to primary Thomas Massie? And finally, the biggest betrayal of them all; one that even the most ardent Trump supporters can't accept -- Epstein.
Hello, everybody, and thank you for tuning in to the Liberty Report.
With us today, we have Chris Rossini, our co-host.
Chris, welcome to the program.
It's great to be with you, Dr. Paul.
Very good.
We have lots of things to talk about, and not enough room.
But we are going to start off, of course.
I want to mention something about a bill in Texas that has recently been passed having to do with gold.
And this, to me, is a good sign.
It's not a total answer, but there's various states, there may be eight or ten or so states that have already changed the law.
And what I like about it, the law says that the states pass law, and it's very constitutional.
And the law says that the state can't charge sales tax or capital gains tax on money.
You say, well, we don't do that on dollars and bonds, you know, on a dollar when you exchange it.
But if you go in and buy a coin in the coin store, you may very well be charged a sales tax, and you may very well be asked the federal government to have a capital gains tax because, you know, when gold goes from $1,000 up to $3,000, they've made a lot of money.
Of course, they didn't make any money.
All they did was point out that the devaluation of the money means that the money is being destroyed.
But anyway, there's several states that have done it, and Texas has done this.
And it emphasizes that the state has the responsibility.
And that's what I like about it.
That the state can use nothing other than legal for legal tender other than gold and silver.
Well, we've gone a long way from that, and nobody's recognized that.
But there's been a reversal of that movement, and more people are moving into it.
And Texas just passed their law that's equivalent to this.
But this makes a very important point.
That doesn't mean that a gold standard is around the corner, but interesting gold is very high, a very high order.
And the one thing is, is gold was not a high order in 1932 when 33 when we went, when Roosevelt took the gold in, stole the gold from the people, and there was no riots or people complaining too much.
But now there's a lot more interest because they are in a wholesale manner really devaluing the currency.
And the main point I make about that is you can have a pretty good feel of what to expect.
That you look at what the Congress is doing, what the people are demanding, what the military industrial complex is demanding.
And they're all demanding more money.
And guess what?
The politicians are responding.
That's when it comes.
They're very, just look at the procedures that we went through on the budget.
There was a lot of bipartisanship.
And, you know, the House did a token effort to say, hey, this is way out of order.
We're going to cut back a little bit.
And lo and behold, the Republican Senate, maybe they would make it better.
No, they didn't make it better.
And so if we're looking, so a hint, I would always say, look at whether they're going to cut spending and cut the deficit.
And will the Fed quit printing money?
So it is in high order.
A lot of people are now, Unlike what was going on in the 30s, they are looking to try to save the value of their currency, and that is by the buying of precious metals.
And the company I work with is Birch Gold Company.
And they talk about this, they have information, they give advice about things that you can do.
And one thing is, is being able to keep precious metals in an IRA account.
Because for a long time, the government was very, very much frowned on it.
But they, you know, approve of this one.
It's not perfect, but it's so much better than not being able to, because if you have a retirement fund and you want to put it in, technically you're not supposed to accept the ones the government orders.
So it's worth looking into.
I had one a long time ago on a pension fund.
I was able to put a billion coins in there.
But if you're interested in getting a little bit more information from Birch Gold, you can text the message below, Ron, 989898.
If you do this, if you do Ron, 989898, Birch Gold will send you some material and information and explain what tax ramifications there are and give you some ideas.
But I believe it's worthwhile to do this and you'll be able to get to somebody in Birch Gold by doing that text number, Ron 989898.
So I think the age of gold is here.
It's been here for two, three thousand years and it's going to stay.
I always like to think about what it was like maybe two or three thousand years ago.
And it was used as money very early on and it still is going to be used as money.
And the big thing is there'll be a lot of legislation because the government, what was Roosevelt's concern?
Not that there was already a huge amount of inflation.
There was deflation in the Depression, but he knew they had to inflate.
They had to have a depression to buy their way out and a war to fight and all these things.
So that led to a bad system that has lasted too long that had to break down and it driven us to our first announced bankruptcy, a literal bankruptcy, and that was in 1971 when our government no longer would meet their promise that they would deliver an ounce of gold for $35, $35 of Federal Reserve notes.
Even though we weren't allowed to own gold, that was good because the foreigners did that and we ran out of gold.
We couldn't honor that commitment.
So things are different right now and things are moving quickly.
So I think the precious metals something that fascinates me just because it's a fascination of economic policy, but it's also fascinating because a lot of people can benefit by knowing more about gold and what they can do to try to protect the value of their currency and their investments.
But we today with Chris and I, we want to talk about several things.
And our problem is trying to narrow this down, but we wanted to talk about some of the issues.
Talking About Ukraine Peace00:15:49
And that is what kind of a week did the president have?
Did he have a good week?
You know, he's given some pretty good talks, you know, even on foreign policy.
I'm here to stop wars.
I'm not here to start wars.
I'm here to end war.
And that kind of talk was always good.
But then I have to, every once in a while, even back then, remember, yeah, George W. Bush said a lot of those similar things too, but we were just getting ready to accelerate on war.
So right now, you know, there are several things that we want to talk about where it's a mixed bag because the president would like to be friendly with libertarians.
He knows how to be friendly, which is being smart and understanding, and that is with the different factions.
So I think if you're talking about politics, you'd have to say he did pretty well with the religious right.
And that would be something nobody predicted at the very beginning.
And then now there's, you know, a coalition.
And I think Trump has always been respectful to Rand, and they got along well and played golf and that sort of thing.
And they've asked me to do a couple things that I wasn't too excited about doing.
But the one point we wanted to talk about briefly, at least, is Trump's attitude toward the best in the Congress, the best libertarian constitutionalist there is.
And that, of course, is Thomas Massey.
And he goes after him.
And that to me is just so sad.
But you know what?
I think it's going to fall into the category of what the Democrats, when they say, we're going to destroy Trump, we're going to impeach him.
He's a bad guy.
Oh, it didn't work.
We'll do it twice.
We'll prove he's a bad guy.
What happened?
He became more popular and became president.
So maybe tearing into Thomas is not going to work and it may backfire.
I used to kid if I was a lonely person in Washington, they would say, you're the only one that voted this way.
And I would even kid them.
I'd say, why worry about what my one vote is?
But the thing of it is, if you're voting on principle and based on the Constitution and you have one vote, that makes you philosophically equivalent to all the other people bowing down saying, we have to pass these bills.
Deficits don't matter.
We don't have to have a sound motor system.
So this, I think, is something that we have to worry about.
But one thing we want to talk to about, especially, is some of the things going on with Epstein, because we did get an announcement, Chris, you know, from the administration about, oh, we were going to hear more open debate and everything.
But I was a little bit surprised how strongly the statement was, forget it, pals.
You're really not going to hear what the administration knows about the Epstein scandal.
That's right, Dr. Paul.
Yes, President Trump, I would say, out of both of his administrations, this had to be perhaps the worst week where he just pounded away on his supporters to where they can't even take it anymore.
And we're going to talk about the other issues, but yes, the Epstein is obviously the biggest one.
First, because of the moral implications.
I mean, just from a moral standpoint, this is just horrible for our nation that our government is doing this with hyenas crimes, letting criminals off the hook and not, you know, shoplifters as bad as shoplifting is.
Terrible crimes.
And this has upset even his most loyal supporters.
You could see it on X all day, every day.
It's not going away.
And I'm sure on the other side, too, people on all sides are upset because everybody knows that this is not true.
Files were on Bondi's desk, all these disgusting videos that they were watching.
And then all of a sudden, case closed, no clients, no blackmail.
And then Trump made it even worse when he said, you're still talking about this?
When he was just simply asked the question.
So it's, you know, from a moral standpoint, it is terrible for our nation, for the world sees what our nation is doing with this, not only because of the crimes itself, but also the other aspect of it.
And you and Daniel covered it this week, is that these crimes were used for blackmail.
So that means that these black, that our leaders, perhaps, are being blackmailed.
And I know they probably want this to go away, but I think the American people, this was a big one.
And I don't think it's going to be accepted.
You know, it's real easy for the people we're talking about right now to say, no, we're wrong when we say there's no real bipartisanship.
And there are differences.
In some areas, there are.
Probably immigration is one.
But that doesn't take care of all these other big issues, whether it's the First Amendment or whether it's the foreign policy and the military-industrial complex.
But I wanted to mention this about Ukraine.
There's been a lot of talk about Ukraine, and it was going to start that war at once.
But I would say 99% of all the reporting since 2014 has been the whole argument has been the invasion by Russia into Ukraine.
And this is repeated over and over again.
But Daniel and I, as well as Chris, over these years, we have tried to point out that this whole thing about who started what, they fail to recognize that we participated in a coup.
The record is there.
The evidence is there.
And we were the ones that broke our promises about staying away from the borders of Russia.
And Russia's history indicates, well, maybe they have a reason to be nervous about what the West is doing.
So many of us now have tried to explain that we believe NATO with the United States, because we are NATO, had the organization to go in there and overthrow the government and have a coup.
And then Russia thought that NATO was getting too antsy, too close, and property being taken.
So that is something, though, that they avoid talking about.
Yeah, we want peace, and what are we going to do?
But, you know, I remember during the Cold War that somebody explained to me once, they say, you know, Russia's for peace.
I said, what do you mean they're for peace?
I said, they're terrible.
And they say, no, they talk about, they really do want peace, but they have one qualification.
They want peace on their terms.
And I think of that as being so realistic that maybe that's what's going on now, that everybody, not everybody, the people who are for peace, they will have peace only on their terms, on their terms.
And it may be that they're stretching the terms that they had promised, and maybe they are stretching the terms and the conditions that we have in our Constitution.
That's one of my biggest beefs is if we'd have had to declare war since World War II, you know, Korea, Vietnam, the Middle East, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Syria, all those things.
Just think of the dollars be spent.
Just think of the innocent people that wouldn't have been killed.
So that is the thing that bothers me the most.
But a lot of times, the conversation and what people say sounds pretty good.
You know, we're going to have, we're going to stop wars and we're not going to start any.
I wish them well.
Yeah.
All right, Dr. Paul.
Yeah, the Ukraine war is another major, I'm not even going to say mistake.
This is not a mistake.
He's consciously continuing this war.
And our country, you know, people can see the bankruptcy around us.
And by far, the number one reason is the military-industrial complex and the warfare state, the empire.
So everybody knows this.
We don't want this anymore.
We want to keep our money here and try to live normal lives.
And President Trump campaigned on this.
And this war in Ukraine was lost before it even began.
Kind of like the Middle East.
You're not going to go in there.
Oh, we're going to go in and bring freedom and democracy.
And everybody's going to have a McDonald's.
And everybody will be just like America.
We were saying before it even started, no, you're not.
You're not going to do any of this.
And 20 years and trillions of dollars later, they didn't, because it's impossible.
So Ukraine defeating Russia was as close to impossible as you can get to.
Yet they did it anyway.
And President Trump, all he had to do was go in and say, that's it.
Biden's failed war is Biden's failed war.
I'm washing my hands of this.
I want no part of it.
And that's it for America.
It is now six months later.
He has done no such thing.
He says now they need more weapons and just has gone back on it.
So he is making Biden's failed war, which was a failure at the beginning, his own failed war on top of it.
So shame, very, very shameful because it's continuing the bankruptcy of our country.
The military empire is our big albatross, and President Trump is just continuing it.
And you know, the other thing that goes along with this and the same type of foreign policy, because in the Middle East, the war between Israel and the Palestinians are such that that keeps getting worse.
And every once in a while they say, oh, no, we're going to work a peace.
But other times, they have some absurd hints on what peace would really look like.
The terms that we on our side, the NATO people and others, is quite a bit different.
I think if the American people knew about the money spent, I mean, this isn't like millions of dollars.
This is not just billions of dollars.
I mean, this is hundreds of billions of dollars that are being used, and it's perpetual.
But now, there's a lot of organization in Israel now, organization and speaking on of Jewish people that are sick and tired of it.
You say, oh, that's surprising, isn't it?
Well, is it surprising that a couple of us have over the years spoken out against our government?
We're so grateful that we still have a remnant of the First Amendment and we're allowed to do it, but not all the time.
Sometimes people get punished for this.
And when you think about how we use the weapon against the colleges, if they come up with speeches or professors that argue the side of the Palestinians versus Israel, they can get fired and they, oh, we'll punish them.
We give you a lot of money to the university, but we're going to punish you by taking away your money.
Well, they should have it taken away, but they never should have been given the money in the first place.
So people, because when you take the money away, it looks like you're speech control.
They are, but it's speech control when they were giving their money to propagandas.
So that's why all these things that we're talking about, Chris, I think are pretty strong argument for our overall picture for foreign policy, non-interventionism.
Mind our own business, it pays a little attention to the Constitution.
That's right, Dr. Paul.
Yeah, you already talked about the Lindsey Graham.
I just want to comment on that and then we'll go back to you for the COVID jabs.
But yeah, President Trump, happy birthday, he says to Senator Lindsey Graham.
He's always there when I need him.
I hope everyone in the great state of South Carolina will help Lindsey have a big win in all caps in his reelection bid next year, make America great again from our president to Lindsey Graham, the same president that for the second time wants to primary Thomas Massey.
The first time he tried, but Massey won big time.
So he's going to try again, and at the same time, endorsing Lindsey Graham, who approves of all of these wars.
I don't know if there's a war that he never approves of.
Very bizarre behavior.
Nothing else needs to be said about it.
It's pretty self-evident how bad this is, Dr. Paul.
You know, the slogan that they use in this contest of supporting Graham is, you know, make America great again.
Now, who could be against that?
But you know what I'd want to know?
It's describe to me exactly where we were and what we were doing and what year it was that America was great.
And there's been a lot of great things in America.
One of the greatest parts of America was the beginning of our republic.
But you can look at it in a very honest way.
You say, well, the republic has dwindled away and we don't have much of it.
But then again, you can say, yes, but just think of the progress we made.
There's been productions.
We're a wealthy country.
But they can't come up with an idea where they really stopped the war.
Yeah, we ended wars when we ran out of money.
It just think we're running out of weapons now to send it to Ukraine.
And yet in the old days, we send these weapons and making our defense weakened.
And then you think about it, even if you didn't deal with all the details of why the people in this country ought to think about the money, the money being spent.
And I think more and more people are starting to realize that there's profiteering in it, war profiteering, whether the war is justified to a slight degree or not supported at all.
It's just the atmosphere says you have to replace them.
You know, they come up and they say, well, we're down to 20% of the missiles that we have to have.
We gave too many away, you know, to Ukraine.
Well, that's not bad news.
For the military-industrial complex, they say, hey, did you notice that thing?
It looks like we're having jobs and profiteering for a while yet.
So that's, I think, you know, the biggest problem and money does talk.
Why Never Take a Vaccine?00:07:14
But we'll go ahead and we'll finish up on an item that I think is very important because so many of us and probably all our viewers remember well the COVID scandals and what's going on and one of the reasons why Robert Kennedy is head of the health department for Trump.
And that is pretty important with the issue of vaccine.
And it's complex.
My position is never take a vaccine.
If you do, you're all going to die.
No, I want to take the decision making away from the government because then all of a sudden you have a pharmaceutical industrial complex that has every reason to promote mandating vaccinations.
Now, there is a mandate and there was and they try to soften that on the vaccines.
But you know, when I was in medicine, there was something that came out what they call IUD, intrauterine device for prevention of pregnancy.
And I thought it was a gruesome medical procedure.
And so my instincts were that I'm not going to use this thing for various reasons.
But it turns out that, but the one temptation I remember in other areas, the temptation for me, well, I was pretty more, I was more naive at that time.
Well, the FDA said it's okay.
They did a lot of investigation, but I didn't know who they were working for.
And I thought, well, you know, if the FDA has approved it, wouldn't that protect us?
They're giving us a good housekeeping sign of approval for it.
And you wouldn't ever be sued.
No, the doctor still can be sued.
And guess who's protected?
The pharmaceutical companies.
It are still that way.
I mean, it's a terrible system.
But now it's softening.
I think that Trump's made some progress there.
I think that I don't agree with everything on Robert Kennedy talks about.
But all I want to do is emphasize whose decision is this?
It should be the people.
It should be the patient.
It should be the doctor.
It shouldn't be the politicians.
It shouldn't be the pharmaceuticals who can influence all this voting and all this spending.
And it has a big difference on almost everything.
Get this stuff out of the hands of the government.
The one thing is that's hardest to understand is government is not there to make us safe.
If that's a blanket statement, yes, they have a responsibility in the national defense if we're attacked.
But they don't, they say, for safety, you have to have safety.
You have to eat the right kind of food.
You have to have the right kind of exercise.
You have to do this and that.
And we'll make you safe.
But while doing this and telling you how they can make us safe, and they have more guns and want to take the guns away from the people that the founders at one time, you know, they thought maybe weaponry and owning a gun was one of the methods that you could use to keep a family safe.
So it's a principle of a philosophic principle of what liberty is all about.
Where's the responsibility and what can you do?
And it's not complicated.
People say, Ron, I think you're on the right track, but how do we sort it all out?
I'd say, read the Constitution.
Look at Article 1, Section 8.
If it's not authorized, don't ever allow the government to spend the money and participate in that item because the founder said we'd all be better off.
And the 9th and 10th Amendment emphasized this too, that most of the problems were handled locally, statewide, and certain things were given to the federal government, but it was not given to a point where the executive branch is so strong that If you have a president that's rather aggressive and or sleeping, you know, like we had last president, the executive orders get written, and we don't even know if he signed them.
You know, and the executive order is about 90% or more.
You can have executive orders, you know, to run the government, but probably 90% are technically unconstitutional.
They shouldn't be able to write laws.
How did we get this to this point where the executive branch, the administrative branch, writes all the laws, and then the courts go and endorse it and expand on this so often.
So I think that this thing on vaccines is interesting and worth thinking about and trying to encourage the people to have a better understanding and don't take your advice and don't have full trust in what the FDA says.
That's not to say that everybody that worked at the FDA was lying and cheating.
No, but they shouldn't be there because the preponderance of evidence should be coming out of the marketplace.
And they say, well, the universities will defend what we do.
Yes, because they get money from you.
And that's their job is to propagandize.
So I think it's a mess.
But that's one thing I would say.
They've made a step in the right direction.
More people are thinking about it.
But the fight is going to last for a while longer.
Very good.
Yeah, Dr. Paul.
This will be my final word on it.
Yes, even though progress has been made, this was a bad one.
Moderna, of all companies, got full approval for COVID jabs for babies six months old and older.
I mean, nobody was even punished for the COVID, perhaps the biggest crime in the world history because it was so global in scale.
Nobody punished for that, just swept under the rug.
President Biden gave a preemptive pardon to Anthony Fauci.
That means, you know, if you find anything ever against him, he's pardoned.
And look where we are today.
President Trump is letting Epstein's clients off the hook.
So you have Fauci getting preemptive pardons, Trump with Epstein.
We're not going forward here, America.
We're still deep, deep in the swamp.
And this is all bad stuff.
Now, we can't become doomsayers because things turn around, but we do have to call it as it is.
You know, we don't want to bury our hand in the sand.
And there are a few people out there that say, oh, this doesn't matter anymore.
No, this matters because this shows the nature of our modern government.
And it is nothing like the nature of what America's founders wanted for our country.
And we know it.
Call It As It Is00:01:11
We could feel it, all of us.
So we'll just keep calling it as it is.
And, you know, hopefully next week, President Trump does something better because this was a really bad one.
Very good.
I want to thank all our viewers for tuning in today.
And I'd like to ask them to do us a favor because we know what the Constitution says, and we do our very best to seek out the truth and promote that.
But I'm also interested in what the viewers are thinking about.
So if anybody is inclined to send us a note somehow or another and say that the format, especially today was more in discussion on several issues.
If you have some suggestions, I'd like to hear about them because there might be some items that we forget.
We can't cover everything, but because the cause of liberty is the number one cause that we talk about, but that affects everything that we do if they're invading our liberty and taking it away from our personal liberty and our constitutional rights.
But I do want to thank everybody for tuning in today to the Liberty Report.
