Majority Oppose Israel's Actions

|
|
| This is from a Gallup poll that just was released today, I believe, just before we started the show, which is majority of Americans now oppose Israeli action in Gaza, as you mentioned, Dr. Paul, Gallup poll. | |
| Let's look at a couple of the numbers from Axios. | |
| They do a good job at summarizing it. | |
| Driving the news. | |
| 55% of Americans disapprove of Israel's military response in Gaza. | |
| Now, this is incredible. | |
| A 10 percentage point increase since November. | |
| 10% increase in the amount of people who disapprove. | |
| About one in three of Americans, that's 36%, approve of Israel's military actions in Gaza, according to a new poll. | |
| 36% only, a little over one in three Americans approve. | |
| That's down from the aftermath of the Hamas October 7th attack when a November poll found that half of Americans approve. | |
| So that's a big shift downward. | |
| They go on to say among Republicans, the percentage who approve of Israel's actions has dropped from 71% in November to 64% in March. | |
| So even among Republicans who generally are the most pro-Israel group, that is a significant drop. | |
| But the dip is even sharper, writes Axios, among Democrats. | |
| Fewer than one in five, that is 18%, say they approve of Israel's actions. | |
| That's down from 36% in November. | |
| So the approval among Democrats has dropped in half. | |
| And among people who identify as independents, the approval rating has dropped from 47 to 29 in that span. | |
| So dramatic numbers, Dr. Paul, out of America on this, what's happening in Gaza right now. | |
| And they are going, I would say, not necessarily against Israel, more probably importantly, and I'll have some info later against Joe Biden. | |
| It's one thing, you know, we know about the mainstream media, and they wanted to, and they have over the years, penned it a certain way, that the people were only allowed to see the things that they want them to see. | |
| But evidently they saw some of the bombing and the retaliation by Israel against the Palestinians. | |
| And that's what's probably motivated these changes in attitude. | |
| I highlighted this part. | |
| Biden's approval rating for his handling of the situation in the Middle East at 27% is his lowest among five issues tested in the survey. | |
| Only further contributing to Biden's low rating in the Middle East, the situation just 21% of independents and 16% of Republicans approve of his performance. | |
| So on this issue, it's basically a big lead balloon hanging around his feet and dragging him down into the ocean. | |
| You know, campaigns, you know, they use polling for propaganda, but they also use polling in their internal and they try to keep them quiet because they're looking for the truth. | |
| And they go through there and find out what the people are thinking. | |
| That figure there, the 27%, it looks like somebody got the truth leaked out because they won't have to pay to find out what the people are really thinking because it's a big issue and it involves the whole presidential election and all the nonsense that's going on. | |

First Time They Abstained

|
|
| And I think that's something we haven't talked about this week. | |
| And I think that reflects on a, I would say, surprise move. | |
| But the other day the U.S. abstained from a U.N. Security Council resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire and demanding the release of the hostages. | |
| It's the first time the U.S. has always had Israel's back, always vetoed anything critical of Israel, at least for a number of years. | |
| This is the first time they abstained, which allowed it to pass, allowed this resolution to pass. | |
| And then, of course, they all backtracked. | |
| No, it's just a suggestion. | |
| It was just a UN Security Council resolutions, when they are adopted, they are considered. | |
| Now, we don't consider it because we're not big fans of the UN, but they're considered legally binding under international law. | |
| So, the U.S. must have known that when they saw this happen. | |
| I think it shows a little bit of desperation. | |
| Well, did that affect the Israelis coming to Washington for a meeting? | |
| People come to meeting. | |
| How many of that canceled Net Yahoo? | |
| It did. | |
| I think it did. | |
| Yeah, yeah. | |
| He got a lot of people. | |
| Oh, what a shame. | |
| Because I was really looking forward to that. | |
| Yeah, he was going to come to the studio. | |
| Yeah. | |
| So, anyway, we'll keep an eye on it. | |
