CDC Changes Its Tune On Masks, But Media Propaganda Continues
The CDC announced this week that people who have been fully vaccinated can now go outside without masks on. Meanwhile in many of the open states people have been outside all along without masks. The Texas Rangers baseball team played its opener to a full stadium of mostly unmasked people. Meanwhile the mainstream media continues to obfuscate and propagandize over the "embarrassing" successes of "free" states like Texas and Florida, still quoting "experts" who have been wrong over and over.
Hello everybody and thank you for tuning in to the Liberty Report.
Dr. Paul is not with us today.
He will return as soon as possible.
What I would like to talk about a little bit today is the big CDC news this week.
Big announcement from the CDC this week.
Let's go to the first clip.
We're going to run through clips.
It's going to be a clippy day.
Bob Wenzel, our good buddy at Target Liberty, he was asking on Tuesday when the announcements was weighed, what's behind the CDC's new guidance on masks?
I like what he calls the CDC director, but we won't talk about that on air.
And he raised the issue, and let's look at what happened.
Let's go to number two.
Here's what the CDC said.
If you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, you can start doing many things that you have stopped doing because of the pandemic.
If you haven't been vaccinated yet, get that vaccine, da-da-da-da.
Choosing safer activities.
If you're fully vaccinated, you're in the green for going on an outdoor movie theater, attend a full capacity worship service, singing an indoor choir, a chorus, et cetera, et cetera.
Go to a bar even.
Well, if you're not vaccinated, of course, you can't.
But if you see both sets of people, vaccinated and non-vaccinated, are both wearing masks.
So that is not super encouraging, but let's move on because President Biden, no less than President Biden, chimed in and explained to us what the CDC's decision was.
Let's go to the next one.
President of the United States, 27th of April, Tuesday, because of the extraordinary, it was yesterday actually, or yeah, Tuesday, because of the extraordinary progress we've made in the fight against COVID-19, the CDC made a big announcement today.
If you are fully vaccinated and if you are outdoors and not in a large crowd, you no longer have to wear a mask.
Now this is going to shock the people in the next clip, which we should put up right now because let's have a look at them.
This is the opening of the Texas Rangers a couple of weeks ago in Texas.
35,000, 40,000 people there.
They did not wait for the CDC to give them permission.
And my bet is that not 100% of them have had fully vaccinated.
In fact, I think only 19% of Texans are fully vaccinated.
And one of the people we follow very closely explains this, and I think it explains it very well.
Let's clip to the next one.
Alex Berenson, former New York Times reporter, he says, he says to the announcement that you can finally take off your mask outside as long as you stay away from people.
He says, they truly are not in on the joke.
Has anyone from the CDC been to Florida or Texas or Tennessee in the last six months?
Indeed, that is the case.
The question is, what's going on here?
People have not waited for government permission.
There are a lot of exceptions, but to go outside without a mask on, they have not waited until they've gotten all of their shots and what have you to do that.
So what's going on?
Let's go back to what Robert Wenzel says, because I think he has a good explanation for why the CDC seems to be trying to get out in front of this, get out in front of the narrative again.
He says, I suspect the CDC is seeing a slowdown in those wanting vaccinations.
So this is not a good news for those fastened at the hip to the pharmaceutical cronies.
Thus, hey, everybody, you don't need to wear masks outside if you're vaccinated.
So you can actually see this playing out.
And one of the things that I want to point out is, A, Bob Wenzel is right, as he usually is, because look at these next two clips.
He's right.
There seems to be a drop in demand.
This is for Texas.
COVID-19 vaccine demand drops in Texas, though less than a quarter of the population is fully vaccinated.
This is from the Texas Tribune, which, by the way, is funded by Bill Gates.
You can look that up.
Let's do the next one.
Here's another one from Yahoo.
As demand for COVID-19 vaccines drops, experts stress more shots in the arms are key for the pandemic to be over.
So what are they doing?
What is this all about?
I think it's about ramping up the fear.
I think it's about the narrative falling apart and them trying to desperately re-establish the narrative.
And so to do that, what do they do?
You know, they're looking at reality.
Reality is overtaking their narrative.
People aren't waiting for the CDC to tell them they can go to a baseball game.
They're going out anyway.
People aren't waiting in Texas and Florida for the CDC to say you can only go outside without a mask if you've had your vaccine.
We are not telling people they should or shouldn't.
If you want a vax, get a vax.
If you want a shot, get a shot.
Do your research.
But what we are doing is analyzing propaganda.
We're analyzing what we're being told by the media.
It's completely separate from the idea of making your own medical decisions.
That should be very clear.
So let's analyze this.
Let's break it down.
Let's rip it apart.
And I found one article I think that just going through this article with a few clips will help us understand the propaganda narrative that they're trying to place on us.
This is an article from the Houston Chronicle, which is very, very heavily involved in propagandizing.
Analyzing Media Propaganda00:07:30
Don't put it up yet, please.
Very, very heavily involved in propagandizing the population, particularly on the COVID.
As you know, Houston and Harris County was certainly one of the most locked down in Texas.
It's where businesses suffered so much from lockdowns and people were fed a steady diet of fear for an entire year.
But the Chronicle, the Houston Chronicle, let's make sure we're going in the right one.
Let's go to skip that next one and go to the one after it because I got it in the wrong bar.
There we go.
Thank you.
Well done.
This is the Houston Chronicle, April 28th.
This is today.
We can get back to normal if everyone gets vaccinated.
That's what they're trying to say.
You have to get vaccinated.
They are demanding this if you want to get back to normal.
But what we suspect and what many of you, I'm sure, also believe is that there is a nervousness that the narrative is starting to unravel because of reality intervening in the propaganda.
Let's go back to that one that I messed up.
Okay, now here, now let's just take this apart a little bit.
I've done a little bit of highlighting.
They're talking about the opening of Texas.
Public health experts didn't have high hopes for Texas when Governor Abbott announced the state would be reopening.
Well, what does this show you?
This shows you that they're wrong again.
They were wrong again.
They didn't have high hopes.
No, keep it up there, please.
The reason, but new coronavirus was still spreading throughout Texas, still spreading throughout Texas.
The variants were still spreading.
That was the fear that was being pumped.
Let's go to Chronicle Chronicle 3, and I have to skip over that first one and go over.
And here we go.
No, no, that's not right.
Well, let's go to the one, President Joe Biden at the time, if we can find that one.
President Joe Biden at the time criticized his move as a big mistake.
And here's the Chronicle's op-ed writer.
The governor's various moves have seemed responsive to politics as much as data.
So the president, so the governor was only playing politics.
He wasn't following the science.
He wasn't doing the right thing.
Wrong, wrong, wrong again.
It's wrong again.
And let's look at that one, the previous one.
I'm sorry, they're out of order.
This is the short one.
There we go.
But, in the face of them being wrong about these two very important, important assertions, instead of saying, hey, you know what, we were wrong, we got it wrong, no.
But now, to hear some conservatives tell it, such skeptics have egg on their faces.
That is a funny way of saying that we were wrong.
And we can go to the next one now and look at that.
After the, that would be the yes.
So over the past two months, Texas has thankfully not seen a surge in coronavirus cases, hospitalizations, or deaths.
Rather, COVID has plateaued, plateaued.
Now, plateaued is a funny word if you think about it, because when I think of plateaued, I think of held steady.
I think the coronavirus has held steady.
It hasn't gone down.
Well, that's actually not what they said would happen anyway.
They said it would spike.
They said it would go through the roof.
They said it was Neanderthal thinking.
It was reckless, said Governor Newsom, the expert in handling coronavirus crises in his own state.
So plateaued is what you'd expect to hold steady.
And actually, they weren't saying that.
They said it would spike.
Let's go back to planet reality and find out what plateaued looks like.
There's that chart that I have there.
Daily cases in Texas.
Plateaued.
Yes, it plateaued after losing 90% from the high in January.
Losing, going down to the bottom, plateaued, yes, plateaued and steadily decreasing.
It did not do what you said.
So they're basically moving the goalposts here.
Let's look at the next one because this is Chronicle 6.
I think that is.
This is an interesting one because they're scratching their heads as Fauci did as well.
Why are Texas and Florida and other free states not in a basket case?
And in fact, the lockdown states are in a basket case.
He scratched his head.
I'm not sure.
I don't know.
Keep that up there, please.
I'm not sure.
I don't know.
I don't know.
And this is the same thing.
While Texas is currently seeing better outcomes than Michigan, well, really?
This seems to be a regional phenomenon rather than a state-specific one.
And listen to this.
It may have to do with the weather.
Well, hold on a minute.
That suggests that seasonality has something to do with it, which was dismissed just months ago as a conspiracy theory.
The idea that virus is going to virus depending on whether you're in the northern areas where it's colder at different times of the year or in the southern areas where it's colder and warmer at different times of year.
No.
Seasonality was only for bad deniers.
And now it looks like even the Chronicle is admitting inadvertently seasonality is important, is an important factor.
Let's go to Cron 7 if we have that.
Hopefully these are back in order.
Now this is interesting.
This is Peter Hotez, who I believe was an advisor to Abbott, hopefully no longer an advisor to Abbott.
He said, the state is doing better than I would have expected.
It's not going down as much as I'd like, but it's not shooting upwards.
Question mark.
I wrote a question mark in there because that's not what he predicted.
Here's what Hotez said.
He didn't say it would hold steady.
He didn't say it would go down less.
He said, this is premature.
Lifting the mandate.
I'd rather him make a decision.
Keep that up there real quick.
Based on science, he's saying that it wasn't going to go down.
It was going to go up.
And then, of course, he rolls out the new narrative.
The key now is to move aggressively, as aggressively as possible, to fully vaccinating the state.
I don't think we're going to see declines in transmission, really big declines, is what he said, until we hit a very high level.
Here's what Hidalgo said.
Lina Hidalgo was the Harris County judge.
Here's what she said when the governor announced that he was going to lift the mask mandate and the other mandates.
Now is not the time to reverse the gains we've worked so hard to achieve.
Once again, let's return to planet reality, Hidalgo and Hotez, Dr. Hotez.
Some of us can actually celebrate that, that the virus is being defeated.
It's being defeated by a number of things, but it is being defeated.
They've all been wrong, and now they want to switch the narrative.
Okay, well, nothing to see here.
Let's move along.
Go do this, go do that.
We still want to push you around.
That's the key point.
They still want to push you around.
Now, if you want to wear a mask, wear a mask.
If you don't want to, you shouldn't be forced to.
Vaccines Defeating The Virus00:02:35
The same with any kind of medical treatment.
That's our view.
But this is not what we're talking about here.
This is propaganda using fear in an attempt to try to manipulate you.
And let's look at these last couple of ones because this is an example, back to Alex Berenson, of the new narrative that's going to be completely, that's going to be unrolled in front of us.
Let's go to Berenson 1.
Okay.
And here's what Berenson says.
I don't think Americans realize how much of Europe and Canada have slid back into lockdowns in the last couple of months.
We are incredibly lucky to have had Florida setting an example and making it impossible for the blue states to shut down again.
And someone chimes, Noam Bloom chimes in, vaccines.
The thing that did it is vaccines.
And Berenson rightly responds.
Let's look at the next one.
Rightly responds, no.
Florida left lockdown last September when vaccines were only halfway through their arduous multi-month testing process.
Remember?
I sure do.
Dr. Anthony Fauci, hero of our time, warned us all what a big mistake Florida was making.
But you do you.
So that's what they're going to try to say.
It's all the vaccine, it's all the vaccine, while at the same time saying there are not enough people vaccinated in Texas.
We don't know why it's going down because not enough people have done it.
So they're trying to speak out of both sides of their mouths.
I don't have to tell our audience.
We don't have to tell our audience because you know better to be cautious when you hear the mouthpieces of government propaganda speaking to you and telling you to do something rather.
Inform yourselves.
Make your own decisions what you want to do with yourself, with your body, with your family.
Try to resist the propaganda.
Resist fear.
Resist manipulation.
The presumption should be, unfortunately, as it was in Soviet times, that our media is lying to us.
And it does.
And we will continue to monitor that.
